Michelle Thames
Hey Hey y'. All. Welcome back to another episode of Social Media Decoded. It's Michelle Thames here and today's episode is one that, honestly, I feel in my spirit because I'm sharing the visibility shift. Yes, the shift that changed everything for me as a woman, a mom, an entrepreneur, a wife, a creator and a leader. And if you've been feeling stuck, invisible, overlooked, or like you're doing everything right but not seeing the growth that you know you deserve, this episode is specifically for you. So get your pens and your notepads ready because gems are about to be dropped. Now I want to take you back to a very specific moment in my life. A moment that at the time felt like rock bottom. Some of you know this story. Some of you don't. I was fired from my cushy government healthcare job. I had a baby. I had no plan. I was confused. I felt invisible even in my own life. And that was the moment that forced me to rethink everything I knew about visibility, purpose and alignment. Visibility isn't performance. Now I realized something that day and it changed me forever. Visibility isn't about being loud. Visibility is about being seen. Not for what you do, not for how much content you post, not for how perfect your strategy is, but for who you are. That realization cracked something open inside of me and I stopped performing and started standing in my truth. People don't follow you because you're perfect. They follow you because you're real. Your story is your strategy. I didn't grow my brand because of a fancy funnel. I didn't grow because of paid ads. I didn't grow because of a viral video. I grew because I told the truth. I told the story of being fired. I told the story of being a black woman in a white led corporate system. I told the story of reinventing myself. I told the story of motherhood, marriage, entrepreneurship, fear faith and every messy middle in between. And suddenly people saw me. Not the tips, not the tactics, me. And that's when everything shifted. One of the biggest lies online is that authority is built publicly. Nope. Authority is built privately. In the decisions you make when nobody's watching, in the boundaries you set, in the investments you're scared to make, in the content you record, when you don't feel ready, in the room you walk into, even when you're nervous, in the days you show up. For you. Authority started for me the moment I stopped waiting for someone to validate me and I validated myself. That shift is what led me to build a multi six figure marketing brand, launch a podcast that changed my life, host my own events, build a collective of brilliant women, become a speaker and write a book. And most importantly, to create a life that finally found felt aligned. Visibility isn't a lifestyle, it's not a post. And when I started treating visibility like a lifestyle, not a task, everything accelerated. Visibility became the way I walk into a room, the way I nurture my relationships, the way I share my story, the way I build community, the way I serve, the way I communicate my value. That's how I coach, that's how I pitch, how I create, how I mother, how I pray, how I show up. When visibility becomes who you are, not something you do, it stops feeling hard. So if you've been struggling with visibility, if you've been posting but not growing, if you've been trying so hard but not seeing the fruits, I want you to hear me. You are not behind, you are becoming. And your visibility shift is right on time. Now, if you've been craving a space to be seen, supported and stretched in your visibility journey, I want to invite you to enjoin.
