Get more than just savings. Get more with Geico. Welcome back to Social Media Decoded, the podcast that helps entrepreneurs get visible, build authority, and attract high ticket clients. I'm your host, Michelle Thames, and today is our weekly recap. Now, this is something that I just started and I love it already. And so it keeps us grounded, honest, and moving forward together. Okay, I will share what happened this past week, the visibility lessons I'm taking away, and what I'm focused on for the new upcoming week. Think of this like a Sunday coffee chat. It's casual, it's honest, but it's also filled with things that you can apply right now because you already know how I get down. So first, let's talk about the highlight of my week, the Go Getter Conference. Y'. All. The energy in that room was unreal. It wasn't just about listening to the speakers.
E
It was.
D
It was about being in the room with women who are chasing big visions, making big moves, and not apologizing for it. I got the chance to share my own talk, which was such a full circle moment for me, because every time I step on stage, I'm like, wow, you really get to do this. Years ago, before I even started any of this, I always had a dream to speak. I always had a dream to. To be able to do what I'm doing. And I'm so grateful that this has all just come full circle for me. So years ago, I remember sitting in audiences like that, had my notebook in hand, just wishing for my turn. And now I'm speaking on those stages. That is authority in action. And it's a reminder that visibility pays off. And if you missed any of this week's podcast episodes, make sure you go back and catch up, friend. On Monday, I broke down why posting every day isn't getting you paid. One of my favorites because so many of us are stuck in that hamster wheel. And personally, I've been leaning hard into my 90 day glow up. So if you've been following me on social media, I'm well into my 90 day glow up. And for me, it's about staying consistent with my health goals, my family time, and my business growth. Now, it's not always easy because it's very hard. There have been late nights, there have been early mornings, and yes, there have been moments where I just want to scroll instead of create. But it's about discipline and not perfection. Now let's talk about some visibility lessons. Here's the biggest thing I was reminded of this week is that visibility isn't just about showing up. It's about showing up strategically and consistently, even when life is full. Because my life right now is full. There's a lot going on, but I'm trusting and keeping the faith that it will all work out better than I can even imagine. And at Go Getter Conference, I saw women showing up in different ways. Some were there to speak. Some were there to network. Some were there to just soak up knowledge. And every single one of those roles mattered. For me this week. It was about remembering the power of being intentional. It's not just about posting or attending an event for the sake of it. It's about asking, what's my goal here? Who do I need to connect with? How can I leave a lasting impression? I want to pass that to you because I know someone listening to this right now is feeling stretched thin. Maybe you're showing up, but it feels like noise. The lesson in this is that visibility is not about being everywhere. It's about making your presence count wherever you are. That's how you build authority that lasts. As we step into this new week, here's what I'm focused on. I'm preparing for Elevate and Connect Online, my virtual networking event happening on Saturday, September 16th Tuesday, September 16th at 12:00 clock Central Standard Time. Now this is my monthly online networking event where women entrepreneurs come together to share what they do, learn and connect. It's simple, but the conversations can spark something powerful. Now it's $7. Go ahead and tell your friend I do have a two for one special. I want to See some women in the room. Okay, so come to have some intentional connections. You can find the information for my Elevate and Connect virtual networking event on September 16th down below in the show notes. I am also getting ready for my second coffee and conversations in Orland Park, Illinois happening on September 4th, which is a Sunday at 10:00am Central Standard Time. Now if you're on my events wait list, you will get access to the sponsor for this first because they go quick and we only have 10 and they're gonna go really quick. So if you want to get in the room with us for free at this networking event that I hold, please sign up for my events wait list. I am ready to pour energy into all the amazing women at the event. So if you are local I would love to see you there. I am continuing to focus on is inviting women into my ecosystem. Whether it's events, the community or resources. It's about helping more entrepreneurs step into their authority. And for me that starts with building relationships and keeping the door open for more women to join us. That's the focus. Visibility, connection and consistency. If you love today's recap, make sure that you're subscribed so that you don't miss this week's episodes. We've got so much coming that I know you'll want to hear. And if you're ready to plug into community, come join me at one of my upcoming networking events. Join me at Coffee and Connections in person in Orland park on Sunday, September 14th at 10:00am Central Standard Time. Or join me at Elevate and Connect online on Tuesday, September 16th at 12pm Central Standard Time. The links are in the show notes. These are not just events, they are opportunities to get in the room, online or offline and start building authority with real people. Here's to a focused, intentional week ahead. Let's keep glowing up together. I will talk to you in the next one. Peace.
