Hey everyone. Welcome back to the podcast. If you're new here, welcome to Social Media Decoded, the show where we talk about visibility, authority, and how entrepreneurs turn their expertise into opportunities and income. I'm your host, Michelle Thames, and today we're talking about something I believe is one of the biggest shifts happening in business right now. Community. Not followers, not algorithms, not even content community. Because what I'm seeing right now across industries is that brands and entrepreneurs who are growing the fastest are the ones who are building spaces where people actually connect, where people collaborate, where people feel like they belong. And if you really look closely at how the businesses that are thriving right now, you'll notice something. They're not just building audiences, they're building ecosystems. Today I want to talk about why community is becoming one of the most powerful business models and why I believe, it is the future of entrepreneurship. Go ahead and get your pens and your notepads ready because you know gems are about to be dropped. All right, it is time for visibility breakdown. This is the part of the show where we decode how visibility actually works in the real world. And today we're talking about how some of the most powerful brands right now are growing through community. For years, conversation around business has focused on building an audience. Get followers, grow an email list, increase your reach. And those things are important. Yes, but something interesting has been happening over the last few years. Entrepreneurs started realizing that having a large audience doesn't always mean you have strong relationships. You can have thousands of followers and still feel like you're building your business alone. But when someone builds a community, everything changes. Because now people are not just connected to the brand and they're connected to each other. They start collaborating, they start sharing ideas, they start recommending each other, and suddenly the value of that space becomes much bigger than the original content. Some of the most successful companies in the world today understand this. They're not just building products, they're building communities around those products. Because community creates something content alone cannot create. Trust. Trust is what leads to referrals. Trust is what leads to partnerships. Trust is what leads to long term customers. And trust is built through relationships. All right, let's move into our room story. This is where I share real examples of what happens when people are in the right rooms and environments. Inside my community, I've seen something really powerful happen again and again. Women meet each other in the space, maybe during a call, Maybe inside our WhatsApp group chat, maybe doing an event, and they realize that they have overlapping audiences or complimentary expertise. Instead of seeing each other as competition, they start collaborating. Someone invites another member to speak at their event, someone introduces another member to a client, someone partners on a workshop, and suddenly both businesses grow. Those moments are powerful because they remind me that community is not just about information, it is about proximity. When people are in the same environment consistently, relationships form naturally. And those relationships often lead to opportunities that that wouldn't have happened otherwise. I've seen collaborations happen. I've seen partnerships start. I've seen people land speaking opportunities. And all of that started from simply being in the same room. That's why I believe community is one of the most powerful things an entrepreneur can build. All right, it's time for today's unpopular visibility truth. And here it is. Content builds audiences. Community builds revenue. Content is what helps people discover you. It's how your ideas spread. It's how people begin to trust your perspective. But community is where relationships deepen. It's where collaboration happens. It's where opportunities are created. And that's why so many entrepreneurs who have built communities eventually realize something. The community becomes the heart of the business because people stay when they feel connected. If this episode resonated with you and you've been thinking about how to build strong relationships and business, I want to invite you into a space where that's already happening. Inside my community, women entrepreneurs and career professionals connect, collaborate, share ideas, and support each other as they grow in their businesses.
