Welcome back to Social Media Decoded. I'm Michelle Thames, visibility strategist, business coach and someone who deeply believes that visibility should pay you. And today we're talking about something I see constantly. People who are visible but underpaid. Posting, speaking, showing up, giving value and still not making the money that matches the visibility. Let's talk about why. Get your pens and your notepads ready because gems are about to be dropped. Visibility is not the same as posting. Here's the first truth. Visibility alone does not command high income. Positioning does. You can post every single day. You can have great engagement. You can be known in your circle and still be underpaid. Why? Because being seen is not the same as being positioned as premium. High earners are not just visible, they are positioned as the authority. And authority is intentional. The four reasons people stay underpaid. Now let's break this down. Number one, they teach everything for free. I've been there, okay? They over deliver in content, full frameworks, full breakdowns, full consulting sessions in the comments, then wonder why no one buys if your content replaces your offer. You've trained your audience to consume and not convert. Number two, their offers are not structured for growth. A lot of people are selling one off sessions, low ticket services, custom pricing every time, no ascension path, so revenue stays inconsistent. High level businesses have structured offers. There's an entry point. There's a premium tier. There's a clear transformation. If you're winging pricing every time, you'll stay underpaid. Number three, they avoid the Direct sales conversations. This one is big. You're visible but you're not making direct invitations. You're hinting. You're suggesting you're soft selling but you're not saying apply, book, join, buy. You cannot expect premium revenue from Passive Energy number four. Their brand signals helpful and not high level. I've been here too. Your messaging may be attracting people who need help, but not people ready to invest. If your brand consistently screams beginner just starting, budget friendly, you will attract that premium. Premium positioning is subtle. It's clear. It's confident. It's structured. If this episode is hitting you in the chest a little bit, that's intentional because this is exactly what we work on inside my VIP visibility days and in my one on one coach coaching. VIP days are for entrepreneurs who want clear positioning, offer refinement, monetization, structure and authority alignment. We spend a full day reconstructing your visibility so it actually pays you if you're tired of being visible but underpaid. The application link for that one on one and my VIP days is in the show notes. Now let's finish this conversation. The Shift from Visibility to Authority here's the mindset shift. Stop asking how do I grow? And start asking how do I command? Authority is built through clear niche positioning. Confident messaging offer clarity, repetition and strategic collaboration and also paid proximity environments. Authority is not loud. It's structured. And here's the part no one says out loud. Underpaid visibility often comes from underconfident positioning. You're capable of more, but your messaging doesn't reflect that yet. The revenue identity shift. There comes a moment where you decide I will no longer be the affordable option. You elevate your messaging, you elevate your pricing, you elevate your boundaries and your visibility starts working differently. Not because the algorithm changed, but because you did. If you're visible but underpaid, this is not a content problem. It is a positioning and monetization problem and those are fixable. Apply for a one on one or book a VIP visibility day or start auditing your brand today with honest eyes. Your visibility should fund your life, not just your ego. I'll talk to you in the next episode. Peace.
