Michelle Thames
Hey everyone, welcome back to the podcast. If you're new here, welcome to Social Media, where we talk about visibility, personal branding and how entrepreneurs turn their content into real opportunities and income. I'm your host, Michelle Thames, and today we're talking about something I see all the time. You created the plan. You mapped out your content. You said, okay, this is the month I'm going to be consistent. You even maybe posted it for a few days and then nothing. No clients, no major growth, no big shift. And now you're wondering, did I do something wrong? So today we're talking about the missing piece. Because the plan is not the problem. So get your pens and your notepads ready because you already know gems are about to be dropped. The Visibility Breakdown why Plans don't convert why? All right, let's break this down. Because having a content plan is a great step, but it's not the full strategy. Here's why. Most content plans don't lead to results. Number one no connection to an offer you're posting. But there's no clear next step. No join this, book this, attend this so people consume your content and move on. 2. No repetition. This is a big one. People think I already said that, but your audience didn't see it or didn't understand it yet, or wasn't ready. Visibility requires repetition. Number three no depth. You're posting, but you're not building relationships. This is a big one. There's no conversation, community, follow up. So everything stays so everything stays surface level. 4. No proximity. This is the real missing piece. You're visible but not connected. No rooms, no interactions, no real conversations. And that slows everything down. Let's talk about what actually moves the needle. So if the plan isn't enough, what is? Here's what actually changes things. The first thing is consistent execution and not perfection. You don't need a perfect plan. You need to actually follow it. Even when you don't feel like it, you're tired, or it's not getting immediate results because visibility compounds. Number two, conversations. This is where people miss content starts the relationship, but conversations build it. Replying to comments, DMs, voice, notes, real interaction. That's where clients come from. The third thing is clear pathways. Every piece of content should lead somewhere. Not aggressively, but clearly a podcast community event call. If there's no pathway, there's no conversion. The fourth thing is ecosystem thinking. This is the level up. You stop thinking, what do I post? And start thinking, how do people move through my world? Maybe it's from your content to your podcast to an event, to a community, and then they become the client. That's the flow. Now let's get into this room. Story. Let me give you a real example. I've seen people come into my world through one post, but they don't become clients immediately. They follow, watch, listen, join something, engage, and over time they trust me. Then they reach out. That's why you can't expect one post to change everything. It's the journey up here. It is the unpopular truth. A content plan doesn't get you clients execution and proximity does. Because you can have the best plan in the world. But if you're not showing up, connecting, inviting and engaging, nothing changes. If this episode hit for you and you're realizing, I have a plan but I don't have the strategy behind it, I can help you. I offer strategy calls where we map out your visibility, your content and your conversion pathway. And if you want to be in a space where you're actually implementing this with other women, where conversations are happening, where opportunities are being created, I love to invite you into my community. Details are in the show notes below. And if you enjoyed this episode, make sure you follow the podcast and leave a review. And if you're on Spotify, answer the question. For today, thank you so much for being here and I'll talk to you in the next episode. Peace.
