Sean
Alrighty. Welcome back to the Son of a Boy Dad Podcast. Today it is August 4th. It is 11:30am and we are here live from HQ.
Francis
Francis is overheated.
Sean
Francis is overheating.
Francis
It's just.
Roan
It's insane to me. We're the one room in the entire New York City office that just for whatever reason does not have air conditioning or air at all of any kind.
Sean
I'm still. We're breathing in the same air that we left with yesterday, bro.
Roan
I'm tired of it. I've brought it up.
Sean
Look at that hat.
Francis
What are you talking about?
Sean
We sell those.
Francis
There's a reason why Francis is overheated.
Sean
That's a beautiful hat.
Francis
We said Francis was driving me in today.
Sean
What the hell is this? What the is this?
Francis
We're stopped in traffic.
Sean
What the is this?
Francis
We're. We're stuck behind a garbage truck and they have to unload a full construction site worth of from a dumpster.
Sean
So he helped.
Francis
Francis popped out and for a cool 10 minutes was loading looking tra trash cans that were full of like building material, like drywall, cinder box, like plywood. And he was just sweating bringing everything in. It was no wonder you're overheated. You just burned 300 calories. Like lifting 400 pound trash cans.
Roan
One, the trash cans were way heavier than I was expecting them to be. Two, I totally Underestimated the amount of dust and asbestos. Oh, yeah, that would be swirling. They weren't wearing masks. So I thought, well, then Fouchy's a liar. Yeah. I really. I mean, I saved us five minutes by helping.
Sean
Yeah, I really did.
Roan
I saw how much they had to. To load, and there was no way around them. And I was like, all right, obviously, I'm going to help. But what was so funny was that at that very intersection, there were other cars stuck.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Were two construction workers across the street in hard hats watching. And then there was a truck, one of those big bed moving trucks with three guys in the cab watching. And when I got back into my car after helping, all of them were like. Everyone was like, cool, man. Way to help out.
Francis
You know, like holding the collar of their shirt. Blue collar.
Sean
Blue collar.
Francis
Like us. And that's all. So.
Roan
Boy, I've always also wanted to throw trash into those. Trash.
Sean
Oh, yeah, of course.
Roan
And watch the.
Sean
Have a little attitude while you're doing it. Yeah, it's really. Just send it in there.
Roan
Yeah, Just throw it. Yeah. And it's funny because initially they were like, we'll throw it in. And then eventually they were like, you're one of us.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Yeah, go ahead.
Sean
You should have been like, what time's lunch? Yeah. You got a.
Roan
What's the injury pay?
Francis
Like, on this fucking gig? We get overtime.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Is that.
Sean
Did they. Did you say anything when you went out? Like, were you just like, do you guys care if I help or did you start moving?
Roan
I said, it'll go faster if I help. And they're like, if you want.
Francis
They were all smaller than him.
Sean
Oh, of course.
Francis
They all had curlier hair than him.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
You know what I mean?
Sean
Yeah. Mexicans.
Roan
The best part of it was when there was one trash can that was so heavy that I carried it with a guy.
Sean
Oh, really?
Roan
He took a handle, and I took
Francis
footage of that as well.
Sean
Did you guys, like. Was there, like, fist bumps or anything at the end?
Roan
There was a fist bump.
Sean
Love that.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
That's great. Great, Great sense of community in the city today.
Roan
I. I've always been attracted to men.
Sean
Of course.
Francis
Working men.
Roan
Masculine specifically, you know, working class, man. And if I can get a little dose of it, it just helps me feel a little less bad about how my life is.
Sean
I. Do you guys think. Do you think those guys have any thoughts the way that. Like, negative thoughts the way that we do, or do you think it's just
Francis
grabbing it together?
Roan
Oh,
Sean
That's insane.
Francis
The cloud of dust yeah, it got really thick.
Roan
I could. I was like, ugh, I have asthma, Sean.
Francis
I'm air dropping a T. Right.
Sean
You can't let them know that.
Roan
No, I couldn't let them know that, but I'm just. I knew within five minutes that. That life wasn't for me due to my health concerns.
Sean
I feel like those guys, like, they probably hate their jobs. Realistically, I don't know, maybe they don't. But like, I feel like a job like that, like you get home and you just pass the fuck.
Roan
Bingo.
Sean
Sleep like a baby.
Roan
Exactly.
Sean
I need that.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
I might have to pick up a side gig.
Francis
Trash. Trash sanitation.
Sean
Yeah, sanitation.
Roan
Part time.
Francis
Trash sanitation engineer. The good thing about that is that was dry trash.
Roan
My dad used to be a garbage man. In the summers when he was in high school or he. He would ride around on a truck on Sandy Hook, New Jersey. And they had some song that had to do with the. The juice from the Fisherman's, like, weight, you know, cast off bits and stuff. They had. They had some name for it and they had a song for it that he would sing.
Sean
Yeah, that shit's nasty.
Roan
He said it was his like favorite job ever and that he would work on holidays and they'd get like two and a half time pay or something like that. Work on the 4th of July, that is.
Francis
It's a good way to make money. Like if you're. If you're coming out of a tough circumstance, you just want to bust your ass. That movie Dirty Work, do you ever watch that movie Dirty Work? Emilio Estevez.
Sean
No, I know it. I haven't seen it though.
Francis
It's a classic.
Roan
I guess my point is that like, trash runs in my blood.
Sean
Yeah, trash through and through.
Roan
If all of this disappears, which I expect it will, some barstool. Not barstool, like the New York office will. Will be washed out to the city. I will definitely go into trash.
Sean
Nice. All right, well, that's good. I'm glad you have that lined up. I mean, you. Did you get those guys numbers or anything? Like. No, actually. Looking for work?
Roan
No, I didn't.
Francis
Should have got a card from them.
Roan
What we'll do is we'll post this video with my email at the bottom.
Sean
That's a good idea.
Roan
If anyone's looking for someone who works on their lower body to.
Francis
Or I mean, like, they'll be back in that area.
Roan
They could well be.
Francis
Why don't we just like same, same time and place next week?
Roan
Yeah, because that is the. That's my crew. I. There was chemistry with them, you know, definitely. They weren't put off. They were so welcoming. Which most. If I know the trash world, it's that, you know, there's a lot of territoriality.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Francis
But I think that, etc. So something I noticed in the four minutes the. That it. It took, like, you're going to. They were already starting to lean on you.
Roan
They were.
Francis
They were already starting to kind of take a back seat to you. They're like, oh, he's the strongest.
Roan
Initially, they were picking up the heavier ones. And then as soon as I showed up, they were like, clydesdale's here. Yeah, yeah, get out of his way.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
They were doing, like, kind of loose pieces, like one in each hand.
Francis
Leave these for the gringo. Rojo.
Roan
El
Francis
Rojo.
Roan
Ferdinand.
Francis
Yeah. That must have been like what the fucking Mayan saw when Cortez landed. Cortez have a white beard or a red beard? White beard. I thought maybe.
Sean
I have no idea.
Francis
Try to remember. Trying to remember what my boy Cortez looked like. But, yeah. That was an impressive display from Francis and he got us here faster. We would have been stuck in traffic for.
Sean
Why'd you guys drive?
Roan
Roan can't walk.
Sean
Oh, of course. I was thinking in my head, I'm like, I'm surprised they didn't bike. It's a pretty nice day out.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
You can't bike with that.
Francis
I can't bike.
Sean
That would be. That would be really. It'd be like Forrest Gump when he breaks free from the braces.
Roan
Bike. Adam.
Francis
Yeah, I need to get chased by some bullies.
Sean
Speaking of Chase, I would like to clear up that Chase did not drop us. There seems to be a little bit of a misconception there. I'm glad you're saying they just ended.
Roan
Yeah. We had a six week presenting partnership, limited time partnership.
Sean
That's how all the sponsors are. They come on for a certain amount of episodes and then it's gone. And maybe they'll come back, maybe they won't.
Roan
You guys just thought we belonged to Chase from here till forever, or you
Francis
thought that we would do anything to cross our brothers at Chase. Of course. Those are our. That's our family.
Sean
Yeah. People were. It is like, everyone's first assumption was like, they up.
Francis
Well, it's because most other brands at this company will up and lose a sponsorship. That's not us.
Sean
No, we don't.
Francis
We are brand friendly.
Roan
Yeah. Without sponsors, we're gonna keep talking about Chase until they come back.
Sean
Exactly.
Francis
A little free ride. Yeah.
Sean
We Might just get the sign back up right now. Like, we want to keep it.
Roan
Actually, I'm closing in, I think for my preferred card. If you spend five grand in the first three months, you get a hundred thousand Chase points. Which? Man, I'll tell you, Chase points are fucking valuable. I booked that hotel in Tokyo in September. Oh, yeah, it was half off because it had this Chase points boost.
Sean
Damn.
Roan
Where the points are worth double. Truly. Like half off.
Sean
Yeah. Yeah.
Roan
I'd never seen that before.
Sean
I. I'll be honest. I've never used a single point and I don't even know how to find them.
Roan
I give up, man.
Sean
Yeah, I know that. Really, like, that's got to be like. That's like rage bait for you.
Roan
It's just like, you know, I.
Sean
Because, like, I've always just used like the miles and stuff. Like, I don't know where you even see the points, Roan. Well, I've also just been using a debit card instead, too. You're really r. Mostly just a debit card or cash.
Francis
And I'm just racking up a massive credit card bill as well that I'm refusing to pay off.
Sean
Francis sick.
Francis
He's seething. This is going to drive him to trash.
Sean
I think the debit card is what really. That set him over the edge. I hates the debit card.
Roan
I hate the debit card so fucking much.
Sean
I remember when I used a debit card at like 7:11 and I was with Francis and he was so mad. He was like, you have to enter in a code.
Roan
He had.
Francis
He's putting.
Roan
He's punching in his fucking pin code for a $67 cent water.
Francis
And I'm like shielding the thing so you don't look at his bank code.
Roan
It's just insane. Like, I, you know, I don't use it.
Sean
I don't use a debit card ever anymore unless I have to, you know.
Roan
Good.
Francis
It's because you shamed him.
Roan
I mean, I pushed for a long, long, long time. I walked him through the credit cards. Then he told me he'd gotten one. And he lied. No, he remained. You stayed on the debit card for another, like three or four months until finally your business manager came in.
Sean
Yeah, probably. But the debit card, I mean, it's. When you're. When you're all liquid. Debit card's great. You're just.
Roan
Your cash is not making. You're not making no money on your money.
Sean
And it.
Francis
And it.
Sean
Well, I am now. I am now. I have a business manager
Francis
who you're paying the same amount that you know
Roan
what he's earning, he's taking.
Sean
No, that's not true.
Roan
Here, why don't you just run this for me and whatever you get above the number I put in, that's yours.
Francis
Yeah, I want to say the same, but I. I want you to make something.
Sean
Yeah, yeah, exactly. I want all my boys to eat what you're being, including my business manager.
Francis
You honestly, you don't talk to anybody that's not related to you or on your payroll.
Sean
Of course.
Francis
That's the only way to play.
Sean
I want my whole team on my payroll. Yeah, all my boys.
Francis
Exactly. Otherwise they're compromised.
Sean
Exactly.
Francis
Hate to see a compromised wolf.
Sean
Hate to see it. I just hate it. Hated compromise. What do you think Austin is? In what sense is Austin compromised? Like, is he working with Israel or Russia perhaps? Did you gotta add in Russia these days?
Francis
You do?
Sean
Yeah, it just makes it sound better.
Francis
It sounds less bigoted.
Sean
Yeah, or Russia.
Roan
But our. Never mind.
Francis
What is he working with the South Sudanese dissident groups?
Roan
I'm so glad. I was about to ask a really dumb question and I stopped myself.
Francis
Well, what's it going to be?
Roan
I'm not going to say.
Francis
We can have the joy.
Roan
I'm not going to say.
Francis
Because you didn't say it. You didn't say it.
Sean
You didn't say it. You stopped yourself. You addressed. It was a dumb question. So now let's hear what the question.
Roan
Someone I know was wondering whether or not Russia and Israel are enemies.
Sean
I actually have no idea. I don't know if they have any.
Roan
I think that they are by deep proxy because I think Russia is aligned with Iran. Is.
Sean
Is Russia aligned with. I thought. I thought that was China.
Roan
Well, Russia, China are both, I think aligned.
Sean
Damn.
Roan
Primarily with Iran. It's like whoever's against us, they're with.
Sean
Yeah, yeah, of course. So yeah, then. No, I would say. Yeah, you're probably right. I would assume is whoever. Israel. Whoever we are against Israel is against. Vice versa. Yeah, we are one.
Roan
Well, this is a pretty nuanced answer. Russia and Israel are not formal enemies, but rather maintain a cautious coexistence defined by pragmatic risk management and tact deconfliction rather than a true alliance.
Francis
It's kind of like the Russia's at the club they get. Israel's at the club they get. It's like they're not gonna beef because like that scares away the hoods.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
So it's like as long as they just keep on.
Sean
That's a Great explanation. I feel like I fully understand it now.
Francis
So stay over there. Stay over there. Just don't fuck up the.
Sean
I think we can honestly just end the Israel talk on that. I think that was. I think that Roan really just hit the nail on the head there.
Roan
Forever.
Sean
Yeah, forever.
Roan
I think we're done.
Sean
We're done with Israel.
Roan
Yeah. I've told you. I get so many messages.
Sean
People don't like the Israel talk.
Francis
That Krav Maga is Israeli.
Roan
Well, that's cool.
Sean
That is cool. Well, I don't think people. People just don't want to hear me talk about politics, which is fine. I get it. I wouldn't want to hear myself talk about that either.
Francis
Well, then other people should stop talking about it, because that's all see in the world. And it's like when you keep yapping like we're regurgitation show. It's just like, I'm spitting out what I'm being fed.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
You know, that's all that's happening.
Sean
And I'm spitting out a lot of information based on, like, reading half of a headline.
Francis
Right. For example, I heard that Vladimir Putin is outlawing GMOs in Russia to the point of execution.
Sean
Oh, wow.
Francis
So if you. If you put, like, a seedless watermelon in the ground in Russia.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Putin will execute. He'll kill you personally. That's a half headline.
Sean
They'll come to your house and kill you.
Francis
That I read. If they don't want me to talk about that, the algorithm should stop showing me.
Sean
Yeah, I agree.
Francis
They don't want me to regurgitate that. Putin is killing people for Monsanto adjacency.
Sean
Don't tell me. Yeah. You know that people. I do feel like we can still talk about Russia.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Yes, yes, yes.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Because there's no. They don't have a religion that's, like, based around them. Russian Orthodox Christians don't have the same.
Sean
And we just, like. We've always had to hate Russia.
Roan
That's kind of just how they've been our enemies forever.
Sean
Yeah. Unless you're talking donk.
Roan
You know what? You know, it's funny about Russia is that there are enemies, but I think we are a country. I think we have this weird respect for them. Meaning you don't hear people, like, mock Russia. No, it's always like, man, those guys drink vodka and fight bears and live in Siberia and are badass.
Francis
They could climb to the top of any building.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
They're like.
Roan
They're. They're, like, scary in a way. And really, really intense. They're not like little bitches or.
Sean
I mean, no one, really. Yeah, you're right. No one, really. That is, like, the general opinion.
Roan
They've. In movies, they're always presented as worthy adversaries.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
You know, it's fucking Ivan Drago and Rocky. It's.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
From Russia with Love and James Bond. That guy who used the cord to kill him, suffocate and kill people. What's that cord called?
Francis
Garrotte Wire. Yes.
Roan
Well done.
Francis
Who was the. Who was the bad guy in the most recent Top Gun movie? What ethnicity were they?
Roan
They.
Francis
Were they brown?
Sean
Don't give it to me. Don't give it.
Roan
No, it's. It's. It's a. It's a fake Russia. It's. It's meant to be Russia. It's implying Russia.
Sean
Was it, though? I thought it was Korea or something.
Roan
No, no, no. It was definitely Russia because they were
Francis
so scared of being racist towards anybody that they had to do.
Sean
It's always Russia.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Yeah. They had to do, like, Princess. In the Princess Diaries. They. They made up a country called Genovia. They're so scared. They basically. Princess Diaries. That.
Sean
That's like. Did you guys ever see Red Dawn?
Francis
No.
Roan
Well, that's Korea.
Sean
But then. Then they made another one that was Russia, I believe. Oh, there's two. Like, Josh Peck is in one of them.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
My wife said the meanest thing to me, and she wasn't even trying to be mean. She hit me with, when you retire, you should become a tour guide.
Sean
And I was just like, damn, it's ruthless. Why is she already thinking about your retirement?
Francis
Why would you. And. And it was. She was like, you just love to, like, spit out facts about stuff.
Sean
That's pretty much her being like, get. You got to get this out somewhere else.
Francis
Talk to somebody else.
Roan
By the way, you're never gonna stop working.
Francis
Yeah. She's like, you're mansplaining Earth to everybody that you encounter.
Roan
You will need a job for when your main job is done so that I don't have to deal with all your facts.
Francis
I had to, like, sit her down and explain why. That's, like, deeply insulting. On, like. That's a layer cake of insult. That's a lasagna of affront to me because there's just, like, no, that. That's.
Sean
That's tough.
Francis
So. It was so hurtful.
Sean
Tour guide stuff.
Francis
Tour guide is insane.
Sean
What would you be.
Roan
I would also say, like, you guys get along, right?
Francis
So why would she. So why would she take this dig at me.
Roan
I'm just saying I'm not that worried.
Sean
You should hit her with. You should just hit her with. You guys get on her back with it.
Francis
But this is. I mean, it put a chink in the armor for sure. Oh, yes. It's like, enough where it's like, okay, do I have to talk to Francis's guy?
Sean
Yeah, yeah.
Roan
Who's my guy?
Francis
Your divorce lawyer woman, was it?
Roan
Oh, yeah.
Francis
Really?
Roan
They're better.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Really?
Roan
Yes.
Sean
Like a pit bull.
Roan
I think women. Someone Shane was, I think. No, no, it wasn't Shane. Ricky Velez once told me. He was like, do whatever you can to surround your team with women in the industry. Like, make your team your agent, your manager. Everyone should be women because they just, like, they have a chip on their shoulder. They work harder.
Sean
Yeah, but you didn't do that at all.
Roan
No, I said I don't want. You know.
Sean
I know. Your agent and manager, both men.
Francis
Yeah.
Roan
I can't have, in the middle of a negotiation, my main person, you know, going off with period cramps.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
They might fall in love.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Roan
That's how a deal falls apart.
Sean
Yeah. They're gonna want to you.
Francis
They're gonna have feelings for you. It's like, let's just get ahead of this. Let's dip this in the butt. Yeah.
Sean
It's more of a hazard than anything.
Roan
Oh, Lord.
Francis
That's smart.
Roan
Oh, Lord.
Francis
It's just. This is infuriating. It's just, like, boiling underneath my skin.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
There's two good tour guides that you can think of, and it's Vince Vaughn from that. The breakup with Jennifer Aniston.
Sean
What is he a tour guide of in that?
Roan
Buses.
Francis
Buses in Chicago.
Roan
Chicago.
Francis
He's very charming.
Roan
He and his brothers run a family
Francis
business and they have a sick apartment, which, like, they could never get on the tour guide salary. Let's be honest.
Sean
Yeah. That's a big. People are really honing in on that. Do you see those? Like, the Spider man stuff.
Francis
Yes.
Sean
How people are, like, raging online about how Spider man has, like, a nice three. He has a nice three monitor set up and a treadmill.
Roan
I mean, this is always the case anytime there's something set in New York City.
Francis
Right.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Friends forever. People were like, these loser bums.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Live in a.
Francis
But your point about Spider man, square foot apartment was hilarious.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
You're like, he's a. He's half spider. You're worried about his apartment size. He's half spider.
Sean
He's literally a man who is A spider.
Francis
His wrists jizz rope, and he can dangle from buildings.
Sean
I also feel like if you have a superpower, you could probably find some cash.
Francis
You could finagle it. Yeah.
Sean
You could make some cash on the side.
Francis
Reach into the register before anybody noticed.
Sean
Yeah, exactly. Or you could just. I would just be like. You could be a street performer.
Francis
How fast are you? Door dashing?
Sean
Yeah, yeah. Oh, doordash would be crazy. Just.
Francis
Yeah, the doordash guys are probably trying to get bit by spiders.
Roan
Save all your colleagues from jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge.
Sean
Yeah, yeah,
Roan
No, I haven't delivered yet.
Francis
That would be a great. A Spider man. That. That would have been an incredible storyline for him. Like, that basically is a spider man storyline. A guy's about to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge.
Sean
Yeah, it is. Have you. Are you guys. Are you guys into that shit? The spider verse? No, no. I haven't really gotten into it myself either.
Roan
I'm too old now. That series was meant for, I think, a decidedly younger audience, I think. Spider Man 1, was that like, the Tom Holland. Yeah.
Sean
Really?
Roan
I think it's the most Disney of all the Marvel superheroes.
Sean
Yeah, I would agree with that.
Roan
And I loved the original one with Tobey Maguire.
Sean
That was great.
Roan
When I was a kid, I mean, I was obsessed with that one. That one. Spider Man 2 were both great. Spider Man 3, not so great.
Sean
I don't know if I remember the third.
Francis
Spider Man 3 turned out to, like, turn into a Fallout Boy video. Yeah, yeah, it really did. It was like they had, like, black bangs, like, going down the street. There was, like, a musical number.
Roan
Was that three or two?
Francis
Was that two? If you like two, then that speaks. That's a.
Sean
What's the one with the green with.
Francis
Really?
Roan
That might have been three. Which one?
Sean
That's one.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
Yeah, that's the best one. That one's a banger. William Defoe is scary in that one.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
I used to be so scared of the Will Goblin.
Roan
Yeah, that.
Francis
That is Willem Dafoe.
Sean
Something new every day.
Francis
William.
Sean
I thought it was William my whole life.
Francis
Willem.
Sean
Willem Dafoe is a great actor.
Roan
He is a really good actor.
Francis
Willem is a bit of a little boy's name, though.
Sean
It's a little bit of a boy's.
Roan
A little boy. You know that meme that always comes up of him when he's like, he's gay, but he's not gay.
Sean
Yeah, that's a classic.
Roan
That's one of my favorites.
Francis
You know that Will. His. His dick was too big to be.
Sean
Yes.
Francis
What's this exact story? I don't remember his dick. He needed. They needed a stunt double down with a smaller dick. Yeah. Because he said his dick stuck out too much. So they just needed a tiny cocked stuntman.
Roan
Wow.
Francis
How do you even cast for that?
Sean
What was the movie? Antichrist.
Francis
You zoom in a little bit on that.
Roan
Enhanced his physical endowment. Was so large that it confused and distracted the cast and crew.
Francis
Confused?
Roan
What is that?
Francis
They're disoriented.
Roan
How could that be?
Francis
My ears are ringing. What day is it?
Sean
It's like that Key and Peele sketch.
Roan
I thought he was not supposed to have a large penis.
Sean
Confused is such a funny word to use. What is that?
Roan
I'm sorry. What are we doing today?
Francis
Must have been beautiful.
Sean
It's a good problem to have, though. Stunt double for the.
Francis
Well, it's a good job to get if you can. It's the best small penis job. Because they're really not a economy for the small penis.
Sean
It's got to be tough being the stunt double, though.
Francis
I don't know.
Sean
That's what you were just saying. That's a good job.
Francis
I think that. Yeah, I think that if it's like getting work in the Lollipop Guild as a little person, it's like, that's the bet. That's the best job you can get in that world.
Sean
I don't know if you want to be the guy that gets the call. Like, hey, we're looking for a guy with a small dick who's not going to confuse anybody.
Francis
You gotta let me read for this.
Sean
Yeah, we got Willem Defoe over here. He got them. He got the role, the lead role. And also his dick is big.
Roan
Yeah, the. The. The role calls for someone with a small penis. And. And then. And then what would happen is just like how people get angry when, like, they cast Bryan Cranston in a role in a wheelchair.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Roan
The, like, crew of disability disabled or handicapped actors are like, we have so few role opportunities anyway.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
And this is like, you know, it's
Sean
like when they cast a straight dude as a gay guy. Yeah. Yeah.
Roan
It's like so Hollywood, you know, it's just there's so many of us that have small dicks that could have played that role convincingly.
Sean
Yeah. The stunt doubles showing up and he's like, well, I mean, you know, like, I can act like this role was really, like, meant for me.
Francis
Yeah. But it's like going forward, that's like a Hollywood that we can hope for. It's like how back in the day people were like, white actors were in blackface. Now Willem Dafoe is in small penis.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
And one day, like, we dream of an equality for small penis actors to be able to.
Sean
They need to start a union, you know, a small, Small. Small Dick Actors Guild.
Francis
Stag.
Sean
I'm a part of stag. Small Dick Actors Guild.
Francis
We're marching for stag rights. Stags on strike. It's only big dick actors working right now.
Sean
One thing I will say about Will was he was very respectful of my small dick. There was no. No slights.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
I got in, I did my job, and he did his job. It was simple as that.
Francis
The yin and yang, it works perfectly together. For every big dick you see, there's, like, five small dicks behind making it happen.
Sean
Lifting him up. Lifting up his dick.
Francis
Who made the PR for that? That's like the best pr. The only good PR after that for dicks was when I think, was it Ariana Grande was, like, talking about Pete Davidson's dick.
Roan
That's right.
Francis
I was like.
Roan
And it's 10 inches or whatever she said. Yeah, she said someone. I think someone asked her, was it.
Sean
Was it Charlemagne?
Roan
I don't know.
Sean
Why do I feel like it was on the Breakfast Club? Or maybe he talked about. Maybe Pete Davidson talked about it on the Breakfast Club.
Francis
You're talking about Charlemagne. That came in from nine. Oh, got it. Like 10 inch.
Roan
Oh, yeah.
Francis
And then she, like, like, sang about it in songs.
Roan
Oh, she replied. She replied to a tweet.
Francis
She said it was. Yeah, in that. Thank you, next song. And she's, like, singing about how Mac Miller's dead and Pete Davidson has a big dick. She's a. She's going through it right now.
Sean
She's going through it bad.
Roan
Is she?
Sean
Yeah. Hoping. Hope she's figures it out. Honestly, it's pretty depressing to watch.
Roan
What's wrong with her?
Sean
She's got, like, a really bad eating disorder.
Francis
No, she doesn't. Now you're, like, not allowed to say that she's a bad eating disorder.
Roan
Why?
Francis
Because then you're like, shaming or like.
Roan
We're not shaming.
Francis
We're celebrating.
Roan
No, we're concerned.
Sean
We're concerned, but it is, like, genuinely concerning. Like, she looks really, really unhealthy.
Roan
Okay, well, now we're getting a little shamey.
Sean
I don't think it's shamey, but it's like, someone's gotta help her.
Roan
Oh, gosh.
Francis
She's like a rib cage with a jaw.
Sean
Yes.
Francis
Respect. Super respectfully.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Great singing voice.
Sean
Yeah, exactly. That's the thing.
Francis
Incredible.
Roan
Makeup artist is an amazing talent.
Francis
Amazing. And we have to say all this. We have to say this part.
Roan
This podcast is brought to you by our partners at Ariana Grande. One thing Ron and I can agree on is that Ariana Grande looks beautiful. No matter how much she's eating.
Francis
We like to see her in Wicked and her songs. Most of the stuff, I'm already spending money on it. I'm good. I'm just concerned for her. Yeah.
Sean
I think that's kind of the general opinion is everyone is concerned for her.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Body. Body negativity took over the zmpi took the zombie killed. Body positivity. Yeah.
Sean
The Zampi is. It's a nasty. Nasty. I don't know. What do you guys think about it? The zamp.
Francis
I think it's probably good for some people, but I also think that.
Sean
And a lot of walking around with bobbleheads now, a lot of people are all drawn like. Like one of those pop toys or what are they called?
Francis
Funko Popping. The Funko popification of Hollywood because of the Zim. But I think that it is a shortcut, and it probably has helped and saved a lot of people's lives. But also people are taking the shortcut that could get there the long way or that also don't even need to get there. You know what I mean? Like, they're taking the.
Sean
I mean, the Funko Pops is pretty spot on. It's exactly what they look like. But it's only like some people, you know, some people, it looks like they look good.
Roan
If I took Ozempic, I'd be Funko poppy because I have a humongous head and there's only so much sort of skin that you can lose on your face.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
And head.
Sean
I think it's good and it's bad. I don't know. I don't know.
Francis
Wow. Way to take a stance on this one. Holy shit, bro.
Sean
I just think there's a lot of people that are doing it that don't need it.
Francis
Yes. Yeah.
Roan
Which is like, what are you supposed to say? You're not fat enough to take it?
Francis
Well, that's why they used to say it was for other shit.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
That's so hard to. To sort of draw a line because
Sean
I feel like there should just be, like, a required bmi.
Roan
But the BMI hole measurement is also
Sean
completely ridiculous because you're morbidly obese.
Roan
I'm morbidly obese.
Francis
What about people who just want to taste Bozempic? For a couple months.
Sean
I don't know.
Francis
I don't know.
Roan
Well, Dana cycles on and off.
Francis
Well, it doesn't work on day.
Roan
It doesn't work.
Francis
His surviving barstool card said that he's the only person that's gained weight on Ozempic.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Mathematically, which is a feather in his hat.
Sean
I mean, what if you just took a bunch of Adderall? Like, what if you just started taking, like.
Roan
You know, I don't know if that's, like, a healthy way to lose weight, but. Is stay up more hours and grind my teeth?
Sean
Well, I mean, more so because it suppresses your appetite. But, like, what it. Like, not. Not so you can just get cracked out of your mind.
Roan
It's gonna be awake for 20 hours a day, and that way I won't be lying down and not burning calories.
Sean
I don't. All I know is that when I was taking Adderall when I was a kid, I weighed, like, a hundred pounds. But, like, what?
Roan
What?
Sean
Oh, well, then what's healthier, though, you know? Like, I don't think either of them are necessarily a healthy way to lose weight. They're both suppressing.
Roan
The healthy way to lose weight is obvious. It's known. It's been around.
Sean
Go to the gym.
Roan
No, it's diet and exercise.
Sean
Yeah. All right, but come on now.
Roan
What?
Sean
I said come on.
Roan
Yeah, exactly. Like, people can't have necessarily the discipline to. To do that or. Or their. Their body. Their constitution doesn't wire that way. I've come away from this idea that if I don't know that people are overweight because it's their fault. I don't believe that at all.
Sean
Oh, you think? Okay, I see.
Roan
I think I've know enough people now who I have seen be overweight, even though they're trying not to be.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
And I'm like. Yeah. There's just certain genetic factors, whatever things that. Unfortunately, it's, like, a unlucky situation.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
I also know the other way. People like J. Will and like, Marty Mush who eat nothing but, like, fast food.
Roan
Oh, yeah.
Francis
And they're in, like, pretty good shape.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
Like Taco Bell and Baja Blast. Blast for breakfast?
Francis
Yes. You're, like, having straight Baja Blasts and you cannot get fat.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
And that's because you're God's favorite. Yeah.
Sean
It's just metabolism.
Francis
Yeah. God.
Sean
But I mean, like, what. Like, if they both are just suppressing your appetite, like, wouldn't. I don't know if it's. If it's me, I'm going. I'm going. The Adderall. The Adderall diet.
Francis
Yeah, because at least you'll be able to grind. You're gonna grind so hard. Grind your teeth, but you're also gonna write something good. Get everything done. Check off your, you know, your entire checklist for the day. Clean the house with a toothbrush.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
I also do not care what people put in their body.
Sean
No, not at all.
Francis
Truly. Do not give a. If people take Ozempic or Adderall or anything.
Sean
Do you think it's the food?
Francis
No, I think it's a. I think. I think people are born with certain metabolisms.
Sean
But do you think, like, our food is just that much worse? Alrighty, guys. Today's episode is brought to you by Quo, spelled Q U O. The business phone system built so you never miss a call. Francis
I'm tired of people saying that they go to Italy and they lose weight, but they do. They do.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Yeah, because they smoke a pack of skinny cigs a day while they're over there.
Sean
What was the who? Who was what? What? What movie is it where the guy says, like, he's like, smoking doesn't kill you. He's like, people in China smoke and they live till they're 130. Like, it's the. They say it's the food. The food in America.
Roan
Dude. There's this new phenomenon where for whatever reason, people think it's sexy to post photos of themselves smoking cigarettes.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
I mean, that's come back forever.
Roan
No but it didn't for a while, and now it's back. I think it's an automatic ew.
Sean
I think that's been a thing for, like, I would say the last gross 10 years.
Roan
I don't mind if you smoke a cigarette. Don't take a photo of it and post it.
Francis
Well, I think that just like guys.
Roan
It's performative.
Sean
Yeah, of course.
Francis
But I think it's sexy for guys like Liam Neeson's stunt double who see it as, like, a phallic thing. Like, oh, that's my size. That's. That's. That looks like my penis.
Sean
I would rather see someone post a photo of them smoking a cigarette than people that post photos of them smoking weed.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
Posting photos, smoking weed. I view that as bum behavior.
Roan
That's bum behavior too. But I think the cigarette thing is even worse. Honestly.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Did you see that weed has overtaken cigarettes as the.
Sean
And alcohol.
Francis
I didn't know about alcohol.
Sean
I think it's, like, the most consumed.
Francis
Well, I was saying most smoked thing, so I don't know how many people are smoking alcohol, but I'll take your word for it.
Sean
They're vaporizing it.
Francis
Isn't that, like.
Sean
Yeah, apparently. Like, if you do that, like, you
Roan
smoke the whole beer, I'm gonna go home and smoke a six pack.
Sean
I think you can get, like, insanely drunk.
Francis
Yeah. Yeah. Way too fast. I guarantee Dana Beers is working science to figure that out right now.
Sean
Yeah, they gotta get. Yeah, we gotta get beer carts.
Francis
They have DMT in a pen.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Why can't we have a.
Sean
Can we have a Bud Light in a pen? Smoking on an ipa, it's an acquired taste.
Roan
This here, it's from Vermont. Small batch.
Sean
We might get to a point where we're just smoking everything, you know?
Francis
Yeah, for sure.
Sean
Especially how we consume vegetables. Yeah. Time for my broccoli.
Roan
I hate this.
Sean
Yeah. Oh, gross.
Francis
Or like, how they've made weed. Like, how weed used to be like 20 THC and, like, a beer is, like 6% alcohol, but now there's like, like 40 THC.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Francis
I mean, and so now, like, you're gonna have, like, a 40 alcohol beer vape.
Sean
I don't think the. The higher the thc. I don't think. I think it just makes the side effects significantly worse. Like, I feel like there's no difference between, like, 25 THC and 40 THC other than you just feel worse the next day.
Roan
Yeah, I. I feel it big time.
Sean
Really? Yeah.
Roan
Because I have a higher tolerance now. And 20% gets me whatever. Normal, relaxed, 40% gets me high.
Sean
Yeah, but what if you just smoked more of the 20%?
Roan
I don't know. I don't like to do that. I don't like to just pile it on.
Sean
That's why you have a bong.
Roan
I don't have it anymore.
Sean
Oh, you got rid of it?
Roan
Nikki took it when she got successful. She's like, that's mine now.
Sean
The not smoking is. Is.
Roan
Is.
Francis
I don't know.
Sean
I don't know how long I'm gonna. I'm gonna do this for, to be honest.
Roan
What?
Sean
Yeah, I'm just kidding.
Francis
You're two days in now.
Sean
What do you mean? I'm over a weekend.
Roan
Come on back, baby. Come on back.
Sean
It's been over a week.
Roan
It's dangerous out there.
Sean
Yeah, there's, like, no fun.
Francis
What do you mean? You've had the most product. You were on the limitless pill all week.
Sean
Yeah, but now I'm burnt out.
Francis
No, you're not.
Sean
I'm looking to.
Francis
You're burnt out of being nuts. Not being. Not high.
Sean
I'm trying to melt some wa. Brain.
Roan
No, you're gonna come back stronger than stronger.
Sean
Dabs. I'm getting a nectar collector.
Francis
Don't get a neck.
Roan
You went out beyond the wall and it scared you, so you're gonna come back in and make sure that you never leave again.
Sean
It's just feeling like shit's too serious, you know?
Roan
Yeah. I don't like it.
Sean
I just feel like.
Roan
I mean, it's all, like, how motivated you are. It's making me very self conscious.
Sean
I don't. I. I mean, it's obviously like a mental thing, but, like, I guess I just associate nighttime with smoking weed. And, like, when I don't smoke, which I haven't been smoking weed, it's like I feel like I work all day, and then I just get in bed, and then I, like, I'm just, like, waiting to go back to work, you know?
Roan
Yeah, there's no. There's nothing. Life sucks.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
You need to get up to escape from your podcast job.
Sean
Yeah. Which is bad. So that's why I'm like, maybe I should take more of a break.
Roan
You're missing. You're missing the routine, the ritual, the grinding, the rolling. That's all comforting. That's all nice. Yeah, that's a bro.
Francis
Make a lettuce wrap. Then, like, you can. You can get that routine through other things. The tactile routine. Get the La Marzocco.
Roan
I need you. No, no, no.
Sean
But I am Like, I do feel so much better, and I feel like I am having more fun. Like, I played. I was playing video games with Bo and Matt last night. Like, I had a blast. And then I get off, and then I'm just like. I guess it's time to go to bed.
Roan
Is there a world where you could only smoke right before you go to bed?
Sean
No, that's. It's a slippery slope. Even if I do, when I do go back, I'm gonna go weekends only, I think. No.
Roan
Yeah, I don't think you will.
Sean
I think I will.
Roan
I think we're gonna. We're gonna get you back.
Francis
You're gonna come back. You're gonna build back better.
Sean
No, no, you're gonna be stronger. I'm gonna build back in a healthier routine.
Francis
No, no, no. I think that you're gonna build back, like, more. And. And you're gonna be. Be taking, like, 15 breaks every 15 minutes of the podcast to go to the bathroom like a cokehead. You're gonna be doing weed like a cokehead.
Sean
Yeah. No, I. I hope not.
Francis
That would be pounding on the bathroom door.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
And you're gonna be, like, slumped in a stall.
Sean
No, see, I don't. I don't like that at all.
Francis
Well, that's what's gonna happen to you.
Sean
No, I would hope not.
Francis
If you don't take control of your life, it's because of your endless need for dopamine.
Sean
I think it is to dopam my dopamine, My dopamine receptors are fried.
Francis
So that means you need to, like, reset them through aggressive, like, exercise. No, no. Like, you need no stimulation for long periods of time. You need to be under stimulated. So even the slightest thing, like. So seeing the color red, like, does
Sean
that gets me going?
Francis
Yeah. Yeah.
Sean
Yeah. I think I might. I think I just need to go full dopamine reset.
Francis
You need to stare at a wall?
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
For weeks.
Roan
Do you guys have any TV shows that you like?
Sean
Vlog. Beep's the funniest show I've ever watched.
Roan
Anything new?
Francis
Amazing.
Sean
So funny.
Francis
Have you watched All Veep?
Sean
No, he refuses to watch it. Strictly because I suggested it.
Roan
No, I refuse to watch it because it has a female lead.
Sean
Oh. It's literally like. It's the. She's in a male role.
Roan
I know. I'm kidding. Amazing.
Sean
It is so funny. No, I heard that Widow's Bay show is pretty good. I haven't watched it, though. It's on Apple tv.
Francis
House of Stasi on Hulu. Really good. No. Why not?
Roan
That Stuff is not for me.
Francis
How do you even know what it is?
Roan
Well, it's everywhere. And I was talking to, like. Who was I talking to? Una. Because Una had her on.
Sean
Oh, really?
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Stacy. Yeah.
Roan
Yeah, she had her on her drawing show.
Francis
Damn.
Roan
And she was like, none of my episodes do anywhere with. With famous people. Do anywhere near as well as, like, Harry.
Sean
Well, I mean, come on now.
Roan
Big cat face.
Sean
You're talking about the face
Francis
you should just have you on again. Honestly.
Sean
I mean, hey, why don't you co
Roan
host that show with him?
Sean
No, I don't think that's a good idea.
Roan
Why is that?
Francis
Because only thing he's drawing is hits from the bong. Only thing he's drawing is a nice long toque from the joint.
Sean
I might have to get. Maybe I'll start smoking. Smoking cigs. Maybe that's next.
Francis
You couldn't handle six?
Sean
No, I couldn't. So gross. I tried to smell. I smoked like a cig in Vegas because everyone was smoking cigs. Nasty. Yeah. It's so gross.
Francis
Horrible.
Sean
You brush your teeth nine times. It never goes away in that city too. Oh, hot.
Francis
But also just like concrete and, like, unnatural.
Sean
Well, we were. We were in. We were in the burbs.
Francis
Oh, you were?
Sean
Oh, yeah. We had a great, Like, a sick pad.
Francis
Where were you?
Sean
We were like, 20 minutes outside Vegas.
Francis
Holy shit.
Sean
And we had. We were right on a golf course. Oh, yeah.
Francis
I could see a Sig hitting out there.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
I don't know.
Sean
It's just not really for me.
Francis
Yeah. 6. You need to be back on the booze to enjoy a Sig, and that's intermittently.
Sean
Yeah, I literally have no interest in going back to the booze.
Roan
I'm going to Vegas in September.
Sean
Really?
Roan
With my friends.
Sean
Oh, really? For fun?
Roan
Well, it's. They're expecting to have fun.
Sean
You're not?
Roan
I'm just going because I miss them.
Sean
Yeah, you'll have fun.
Francis
Why did they pick Vegas?
Roan
They like it. They like to gamble. They like that.
Sean
It's pretty hard not to have fun in Vegas.
Roan
I don't have fun there.
Sean
You will.
Roan
I don't like to.
Sean
You will.
Roan
I don't like it.
Sean
You're gonna have fun.
Roan
My idea of fun is like a ski trip or a whitewater, you know, being outside.
Sean
But a casino is fun. On.
Roan
For. If you're winning, which I'm not. And for a couple hours.
Sean
Yeah. Yeah.
Roan
We're going for three nights. That's an eternity in Vegas.
Sean
Yeah, It's a long time especially. Are you guys staying like in Vegas.
Roan
Yeah, we're staying at the Wind.
Francis
Only place to stay.
Roan
Only place.
Francis
Yes it is. It's the only place to stay.
Sean
It's the only place to stay.
Roan
Haven't they. Not really renovated the rooms in forever. When was the last time they renovated the win?
Sean
Was it Dante that had to get that? Got a smoking room in Vegas cuz he wanted to hit his vape.
Francis
I don't know who.
Sean
Who was it?
Francis
Wouldn't surprise me. You guys, you should get a suite up there.
Roan
Maybe we will. I have. I'm going with some heavy hitters, right.
Francis
Go with the heavy hitters, get a suite with the heavy hitter.
Roan
Some pipe laying.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
Have a little hangover like experience.
Francis
Is that from Pulp Fiction? Yeah.
Roan
I'm gonna call up a couple of my. Some. Some heavy pipe hitting. I missed a pervert here. I wish he was dead. I don't know.
Francis
It's after he got raped.
Roan
Yep. After the rapes and bud comes back. As far as you and me is concerned, we cool.
Sean
Would you guys see yourself ever watching that movie again?
Francis
Yes. Yeah, Whenever.
Sean
It's amazing movie, whenever it's on, I'll watch. Because you're a cable guy. Yeah, yeah, cable. I feel like it's better you get now that you get more of a
Francis
natural and you can catch it in the middle of it.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
You don't have to watch everything from the beginning.
Sean
Maybe I should get cable.
Francis
Cable, it's nice to jump into that.
Sean
Yeah. I think cable actually might replace the weed for me. Oh yeah.
Francis
It's way easier because you kind of
Sean
get a good dopamine hit of like changing the channels and then show that you're like, oh shit, something's actually on.
Roan
Oh, what a wonderful like retro.
Francis
Yeah, it's step back.
Roan
Yeah, it's your version of TV Vinyl.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
Because.
Roan
Yeah, no, I only have 27 channels. Did you see that show on ESPN? Oh, you mean eight.
Sean
Yeah, but I think that could be a good like. I think that is kind of a dopamine reset in a way because it's like you don't just get to like. It's almost overwhelming having to open up the smart TV and it's like, what, what should we watch? We could watch literally anything. There's. We could watch anything that has ever been made rather than cable. You're like. Some nights you're going to have to watch a movie or like maybe you
Francis
find a new movie that you didn't expect.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
There's a. It is a truly sublime feeling to click into Something on cable and to pull the blanket up to your chin.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Francis
And you're just there. And you're just like sitting there for a while.
Sean
Yeah. The roast is when you don't even know, like, if you're at like a shitty hotel. You don't even know what the movie is.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
You're just watching a movie.
Francis
Yeah. There's no tv, God channel.
Sean
I'm looking up the quotes from the movie, trying to figure out what movie I'm watching.
Roan
Yeah, dude, I started watching the movie Hamnet Hamnets.
Francis
I fell asleep in that one, bro.
Roan
Normally in the past, this would have been a movie I would have loved. Yeah, I know. It's well regarded, well reviewed, nominated. It's sort of Shakespeare in Love meets, you know.
Sean
Oh, I. I've seen this. You saw? I haven't seen. I've seen, like. I know the movie.
Roan
Okay, well, anyway, I've now. It has been three attempts to finish this movie. I don't think I'm a third of the way through.
Sean
Yeah. That you fall asleep.
Roan
No, I watched 20, 15 minutes of it and I am like, there is nothing else that would be less interesting than what I'm doing.
Sean
Yeah. I don't know how you consume movies like that.
Roan
It's my point, because I know I. I'm trying to re. Strengthen my attention muscle. It has atrophied from scrolling. Scrolling. Yeah. Variety.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
As you said, I just always. I'll watch five, ten minutes of something and assume like.
Francis
That's why you have to pull the blanket up to your chin like that.
Sean
That is block key.
Francis
Like it. Because it. Basically it removes your hands from the situation. If the blanket is to the chin, you. You can't scroll. One thing.
Roan
One thing.
Sean
You guys have a TV in your room?
Francis
I do.
Sean
You watch tv, like when you're going to bed?
Francis
No, not really.
Sean
I have a TV in my room now. It's awesome.
Roan
Is it? I've been wondering if I should do that.
Sean
It's pretty sick. Especially if you have like. If you have nothing the next day or whatever. Like, it's nice to like lay in bed and watch something.
Roan
I don't do that.
Francis
That's not for you.
Sean
Because you don't have a TV in your room.
Roan
No, I just don't. Like, I could. That would make me feel. That would make me feel really lost. You'd feel, I promise, rot in my bed.
Sean
What do you mean rot? You're watching a movie. Am I not talking about 11? I'm talking about the night before.
Roan
Oh, I thought you Said.
Sean
I said like if you have nothing the next day so you don't have to worry about like, oh, I gotta go to bed.
Roan
Oh, miss, I misunderstood. I thought you meant the next day is when you're watch the movie.
Sean
No, no, that. That's the thing that sucks is I. I'm going to get another TV because I. I'm. I don't watch TV at all during the day because I. Again, like what you just said. I don't want to lay in bed at 11am and watch something.
Roan
Right.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
So you only have one TV right
Sean
now I only have one TV. What if your drive was fueled with more like more protection for more time on the road? Shelby Power Nitro plus provides more protection for longer lasting engines. So it helps you keep your engine running like new for. For whatever drive is ahead. Shelby Power Nitro plus engine performance that lasts compared to minimum detergent gasoline. With continuous use of Shelby Power Nitro plus and gasoline direct injection engines, actual effects and benefits may vary. See Shell us more dash protection for more information. But they're.
Francis
Dude, they're so cheap. There's no excuse to only have one then. Exactly.
Sean
I'm going to get a second.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
4K.
Roan
And that second one is for what reason?
Sean
Living room.
Roan
So that you can watch TV during the day.
Sean
Football.
Roan
That's fine. But.
Sean
But you're gonna need a TV for football.
Roan
Now all you're telling me is that it's only gross if you watch TV in your bedroom during the day.
Sean
Yeah, as long as.
Roan
As long as it's out in the open, it's healthy.
Sean
I mean. Yeah. I mean I'm not gonna walk.
Roan
I don't even disagree.
Sean
I don't watch TV during the day. Regardless.
Roan
I don't disagree with that.
Sean
Like I. I never watch TV during the day. I don't really TV as it is. So like I don't. I play video games.
Roan
You wouldn't want to watch t. You wouldn't want to watch football in your bedroom.
Sean
I've done that. I've had that set up before. It's. It's nice. But no, I would much rather watch TV like on the couch.
Francis
So you're gonna screen out your crib. You're gonna. It's the carabification of your crib.
Sean
Yeah, definitely.
Francis
Just gotta have. You might. So you're one step away from having eight screens in your living room.
Sean
Currently they're are three screens in my living room and one screen in my bedroom.
Francis
And you're going to add a TV fourth. And once you add a TV. You need two side TVs for the.
Sean
I love how you're thinking games. Love how you're thinking.
Francis
And then, like, two lower computer monitors.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
So you can watch Red Zone.
Sean
What do you think? Do you think I do that? You think I go. You think I go one regular TV or you think I go, like, four small TVs? Quad box.
Francis
No, no, I think you go one. And then wings, you need your main one.
Sean
So two side monitors, vertical. Side monitors, vertical.
Roan
I want your home to look like the lobby at cnn.
Sean
I want it to look like the. The scene in the Dark Knight.
Roan
Yeah, exactly.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Roan
When you're finished typing your name,
Sean
like, I want to be able to sit at my desk and, like, be doing whatever. And then I got my. And then I got my spinny chair, and I want to turn around and see Drake May throwing a dime to A.J. brown.
Francis
Yeah. It's key to have one of your TVs be on a lag so you can watch it and then watch the replay in real time.
Sean
Yeah, I love it.
Francis
Spinny chair.
Sean
I love it.
Francis
You need it on at all angles.
Sean
Yeah, but. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know what I'm gonna do.
Francis
Then you treat yourselves, and then you get out to Queens and you just. You stretch your goddamn legs.
Sean
Oh, yeah, legs are getting stretched. That's for damn sure.
Francis
You have some delicious Queens food. I got the Michelin app. There's a lot of Michelin restaurants out in Queens.
Sean
Yeah, all the food out there is insane.
Roan
Well, they probably have a lot of the Bib Gourmands out there.
Francis
What does that mean? I was looking up. What is Bib Gourmand?
Roan
Bib Gourmand is really good food. Really good value. Oh, they're like, awesome, awesome restaurants that don't. They're not quite fancy enough to have a star, but. Yeah, but that doesn't mean that they're worse. I. Some of my favorite restaurants are Bib Gourmand.
Francis
Oh, so some of the stuff on the Michelin app isn't Michelin Star, it's Bib Gourmand.
Roan
Yeah, and then they even. They have that. And then they also have.
Francis
Do you have the. The app?
Roan
No.
Francis
So you're just aware of the Bib Gourmand system without even.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Subscribing to the app?
Sean
I mean, how many Michelin star restaurants are there even in New York?
Roan
Oh, there's so many. If you count Bib stars, there's like 40. Oh, really? Two stars. There's probably like 12. What's the three stars? There's probably like four. In fact, I bet you I could name the three star restaurants.
Sean
Wait, is. Is Le Bernard Den one of them?
Francis
Yeah, for sure.
Sean
Is for Charles one of them? No, though.
Roan
No. 4 Charles might have one star, but I don't know.
Sean
See, that's where the system is broken to me, because four Charles, in my opinion, should have five stars.
Roan
Right?
Francis
Yeah, but there's. It's like a different.
Roan
It's so much more about the food and the service and the preparation and
Francis
the style of cooking. And there's like. Like almost trophy generation diversity quotient, where it's like you're Cambodian and Yemeni. Food needs to have, like, representation too.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
So it's like you. There's going to be a place that has a Michelin star, that's by jfk, where you can get Trinidadian food and like that. And it's like.
Sean
Yeah, that's what Queens feels like. A lot of the places in Queens feel like somewhere that, like, Anthony Bourdain
Francis
would go, yeah, and you're sitting on a stool.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
I want to hear you try and name them the places with four.
Roan
I know. Masa got relegated to two, too.
Sean
Real.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
Congrats.
Francis
No, it's bad.
Sean
Oh, they got. They got brought down. Relegated. Oh, my.
Roan
And by the way, why congrats to me?
Sean
I was congratulating them. Brought up, but I misunderstood.
Roan
No, they got taken down to two, which is bad for them because I think they're the single most expensive restaurant in New York City.
Sean
Oh, that's detrimental. They'll never recover from that.
Roan
Correct. That's not good. The top ones are Bernarda. I think it's. Another one is. Oh, boy. I'm not.
Francis
You should know. You shouldn't. There's one you should know and there's three. I'd be shocked if you knew.
Roan
The mark Forgion. No, is not three stars per se. Is three stars.
Francis
Yes, per se. Exactly.
Sean
Great poll.
Francis
Great call. Per se.
Roan
Is Gabriel Cruiser.
Francis
It's not
Roan
close, though. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Francis
One of them is Daniel. No, Norris Penny. But salute to Daniel Penny.
Roan
Wait, don't tell me. Keep that one.
Sean
That Robert De Niro owns, Atomics is
Roan
two stars and it should be three.
Francis
They said Atomics is not. And of course you think that Locanda Verde is.
Sean
Is that the one that Robert De Niro owns? I've never been. I don't go to these dumbass restaurants. This shit is all. All dumb. I want you guys to know that I'd actually like. I support you guys. I support you guys being more into like the fancy, like, wine and stuff like that than this.
Roan
Well, that's what this is.
Sean
Yeah, but this is. It's a scam. You're being scammed.
Francis
No, wine is way more of a scam than this.
Sean
No, I went to Le Bernardin. It is a scam.
Francis
Certainly not.
Sean
Certainly is.
Francis
How did you not enjoy the food you tasted?
Sean
I'll get. I'll get the lobster. And then they bring it down into tic tac tack. It's a tic tac sized lobster. You go, wow, that seems like it would have been good if there was more of it.
Francis
So if you ran the Michelin star program, like Red Lobster. Because they have big lobsters.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Roan
If.
Sean
If I would go to Red Lobster a hundred times before I went to Laburna.
Francis
Then again, that's insane.
Sean
Diet Coke in one of those cool, cool cups.
Francis
One of them, you know, The Samal. Yeah.
Roan
Oh, 11 Madison park is three stars. Yes.
Francis
Yes. Wow. There's a Korean one.
Roan
I don't know.
Francis
The Jung Sik. Sushi show.
Sean
Yeah, I don't really snap it up for Sushi show.
Roan
Snaps. Snaps, Snaps. I think the two stars are the. Are the ones you want to hit though, if you really want that level of like high cuisine. Because they're the ones that are fighting so hard to get a third star.
Sean
So what is for Charles? Did we confirm? Because that's. I'm basing that as the number one restaurant in New York for me, for my cuisine, my taste, my preference, my wine tastes. They have all of my favorites. Red white house.
Francis
Red house white.
Roan
Just quickly, Tyler, would you look up whether or not four Charles has a. Has a designation under Michelin or they're
Francis
simply a bib gourmand.
Sean
They could.
Roan
Which I doubt they would be because I don't think that their prices would suit them. That does not have a Michelin star. It's a recommended. It's a recommended. It's still noted.
Francis
Well, Michelin doesn't have to be your only food recommendation site. You could. I mean, the infatuation, I think, does a good job of recommending food.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Eater is the best eater every. The eater has in all the top cities in America. It has the. For whatever reason, the 39 best restaurants in Chicago. The 39 best restaurants in.
Francis
But their social media presence is infuriating. I think they're the ones who are like, if you go to London, you have to try this burger that's gonna change your life.
Sean
Run, don't walk.
Francis
Yeah, that's. That's the Eater cadence.
Roan
But the thing that. The one thing about Eater that I do really like.
Francis
Belly, actually.
Roan
Fuck yeah, that's Belly. I don't like Belly.
Francis
That's Belly.
Roan
The one thing about Eater that I really like is that you can go to the map and then see which restaurants are near you, which I think you can do. On Infatuation.
Sean
I think they have the. Oh, Yelp.
Francis
I think everyone has integrated the map.
Sean
Yup.
Roan
The problem with Yelp is like, they're like, here's their hot dog stand. It's great. And then there's too many. There's too many restaurants on Yelp.
Sean
Yeah, they got everything on Yelp. Yelp is. Yelp has, I think, surpassed, like, Google Maps and Apple Maps.
Roan
I don't like Yelp.
Sean
It is the map. You could type in, like, I need to get an 8 gigabyte flash drive. And they're telling you exactly where to go.
Francis
Yelp has like it. There's too. Too many people can offer their input where it's not. Not a reliable narrator.
Sean
But if they have a ton of reviews, you know, this place is incredible.
Francis
Yeah. I don't know. Yelp's not for me. I was too poor for you boys.
Sean
It's the poor man's belly
Roan
hungry. Yeah.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
I opened my social media on Monday morning and I saw a picture of my good friend Obes filming the J. Cole concert.
Sean
Oh, really?
Francis
From. He was. Had a beautiful video, black and white, of J. Cole performing. And I realized that I had tickets to that jcole concert. Beautiful floor seats to the jcole concert that I bought for my wife. And I didn't know that I had tickets to. The show was at the Barclay. It was at Madison Square Garden.
Roan
How did you not know that you had tickets to that?
Francis
I just didn't know when the show was.
Sean
Oh, so he was on the Perkies.
Francis
I was on the Oxies, the Roxies.
Roan
What are Roxy's?
Sean
I think they're just like super strong Oxy. So I don't know, it's like a street. I think it's like a street drug.
Roan
I remember a friend of mine used to have those on him.
Sean
Oh, really?
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
Are you guys still close?
Roan
No.
Sean
Yeah. It's not surprising, but this was like,
Roan
probably 2012 and he called them Roxies. Roxy Codon. Strong prescription opioid pain medicine.
Francis
It's a brand name.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Always interesting when you come up with a brand name for a Drug. What the Are they thinking?
Sean
Yeah. Why do they have to make them sound so cool? Like Roxy's. That sounds.
Roan
Well, Roxy Codon is not cool. But then if you can, you know, abbreviate it to something cute.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
Take a sting out of it.
Sean
Zans.
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
Xanax is just a made up word, though.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
Zyrtec. Like, they just wanted to make a cool word. Even, like, Mounjaro is just, like, made up. It's just a made up word. It's not bad based on anything. It's not like a chemical compound.
Roan
No, no.
Francis
How are they coming up with that?
Sean
Maybe it's like that. Maybe there's just some dude whose last name is Roxy Codon. Matt Roxy Codon.
Francis
For the Roxy Codon family. Oh, dude, I can get a table anywhere. I got the Roxy Fortune oxycodone for two. I felt so dumb having not made. Made it to the concert. I would have been limping up there, but it would have just been sick to see. J. Cole.
Roan
I like J. Cole a lot. Has J. Cole come back from his fall from grace as a result of being sort of.
Sean
I don't know if he really fell,
Roan
to be honest, because he just got out of the beef.
Sean
Yeah, I think he started the beef and then he kind of just bailed at the right time.
Roan
Didn't people say he was a bit of a pussy?
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
I mean, Kendrick said, there's three goats left, and I see two of them hugging and kissing on stage,
Roan
and that's Drake and Drake and J. Cole were. Were hugging and kissing each other on stage, Essentially, yes. What?
Francis
But I think Drake also had words. Had choice words for J. Cole after the beef or during his last album. I think Drake had some choice things to say about J. Cole.
Roan
They said mean things to him, and he didn't come back, which I thought showed maturity.
Sean
Yeah, me too.
Roan
Too.
Sean
I don't think he wants. He's not. He's not about that. He's above that.
Francis
His therapist is just up the rap game.
Sean
Yeah, exactly.
Francis
His therapist is like, don't respond.
Sean
He's good. Sober rap. That's what me and. Me and my friends, we say. J. Cole, sober rap.
Francis
Drake Cole expressed his lingering disappointment. Drake expresses lingering disappointment during Make Them Pay.
Roan
I like. I like Jake. I like Cole.
Sean
Jake. I like all three of them, to be honest.
Francis
No, that's not. That's not an acceptable. I know that's controversial, but that's not acceptable.
Sean
I don't like Drake. Nat. Like, I don't love Drake's new Music, but his old music, it's just undeniably amazing.
Francis
Who?
Sean
Drake?
Francis
You don't like his new music, did you say?
Sean
I just don't really listen to. I really just listen to. If you're reading this, it's too late. On repeat.
Francis
You know that he has been the leading streamer every month of this calendar year with like, at minimum, 1.6 billion streams a month pay to play. Play what?
Sean
Yeah. Oh, also, that has nothing to do. I don't. I don't. I don't. I know Drake is still.
Francis
We got a lost ninja here.
Sean
It's just. It's just not really. I know Drake is still very big. It's just not. The new stuff's not really my cup of tea.
Francis
I'm. I just hate to hear a lost ninja like you. I don't like Drake grasping at straws, regurgitating narratives. Go back to the Israel.
Sean
I like when he acts tough. Go back to the Israel stuff.
Roan
Yeah. I liked you more when you were on Weed in Israel. Yeah.
Sean
No, a lot of people did. I'm a. I've been getting. I will say, since my. Since my kush break, I've only been listening to rap. None of that. None of that lame I was listening to before. No. Mumford and Sons, I'll tell you that. Much too angry, just too pissed off to be listening to that.
Francis
Yeah, a big three. Anyway, there were too many chefs in the kitchen. It was a mess to begin with. Boom.
Sean
That's Drake.
Francis
That's Drake.
Roan
That's a bar.
Francis
Weak ass bar.
Roan
I like that.
Francis
Bar, weak bar, Chefs in the kitchen, mess to begin with.
Sean
No, I understand.
Francis
No, no, no. You don't get the syllables, bro.
Roan
You have to hear it to. To know it.
Francis
Must to begin with. That's multi syllable magic right there.
Sean
I think he just got buried. Too bad. Like, he just got buried.
Francis
Me, I stood on 10 tees and accepted the mission. That's the same rhyme scheme. I'd rather death than death and submission. Same rhyme scheme. That's multi syllable. How can you press the ignition and let some memories of your past affect your decision? That's ins. That's insane. Chefs in the kitchen. Says who, bro? I honestly will. I'll have him come and I might have Chubbs come and do it, bro. Honestly, honestly. It doesn't even have to be chubs.
Sean
Look, I. I respect Drake.
Francis
We could have party come and slap the.
Sean
Probably in my top five most streamed artists.
Francis
Oh, wow.
Sean
I'm a Drake fan. I like Drake. I'm just saying, the new stuff doesn't do it for me like the old stuff did. There's nothing wrong with that.
Francis
You didn't listen.
Sean
I didn't.
Francis
Yeah, so that's your fault. That doesn't mean it didn't do anything for you, bro. You're just embarrassing yourself. I'm sorry, bro. Obs. I'm sorry, bro. He gets. And he's coming off weed.
Sean
He's with, you know, something a little. I'm a little moody right now.
Francis
You're picking fights. My bad, bro.
Sean
Just trying to start.
Francis
He's like. He's being a goof. Like, he actually is obsessed.
Sean
I think Kendrick's probably my goat right now.
Francis
I'm sorry, bro.
Sean
It's just. It's undeniable.
Francis
Like, what's. What. What thing? Did he say that you liked everything? Like, what everything? Like, what's the thing?
Sean
Yeah, exactly. Mustard. I love that.
Francis
How did he come up with that?
Sean
Come on, bro. You know he's a better. He's a better rapper than Drake. Don't even play good, kid. Mad City. It's a masterpiece.
Francis
Great, great album. Are we talking about the one from 2012? Yeah, but they're all years ago.
Roan
I tried to listen to Pimp A, but to. To Pimp a Butterfly all the way from start to finish was like watching Hamnet.
Sean
That one's. That one's a little exactly the same
Francis
as him, and you just kind of like wake up from a nap and someone's screaming and it's just like, whoa, didn't do it.
Sean
But what's it could. What was it? Damn. Was that one of them?
Francis
That was one of them.
Sean
That album's great.
Roan
That had swimming pools on it.
Sean
No, that's. That's good, kid.
Roan
Mad City Swimming Pools is amazing.
Sean
That's corny ass song.
Roan
Okay, Corny.
Sean
I remember some kid came up to me once and he was, like, trying to explain it to me, like, when I was in high school. He's like, it's about, like, how, like, bad alcohol is. And I was like, yeah, I know, dude. It's pretty straightforward. It's not like there's no Easter eggs in that song.
Roan
Son of a Boy Dad. Brought to you by Fabletics. Guys, we're all big fans of Fabletics. And this time of year, summer always has me reaching for layers. One minute it's warm outside, the next you're dealing with cooler weather as we head towards fall or because the AC is blasting. So it's nice to have pieces that work wherever the day takes you. For example, look at this amazing T shirt. You guys can't feel this, but maybe you can kind of feel it through the screen. The fabric is light, it's breathable, it's stretchable. Their T shirts are soft, so comfortable.
Francis
Well, they also have all the cuts of T shirts that you need or want because like I like a boxier T shirt but they also will have stuff that has like a shorter sleeve or like this is a sleeveless shirt. So this is something that is perfect for layering. You throw this on underneath this and it is the perfect layer, top to bottom. Fabletics people were saying like Roan loves those cream color khakis. That was a comment that I read recently. Dude, it's multiple pairs of cream colored pants and they were all Fabletics. My entire summer was different cuts of Fabletics pants. I would wear them with everything as a base layer for everything. And if we're layering, I mean there's just like, there are endless options. Like boom. Here, here's a, here's a Fabletics. Like this is a short that if you were playing golf at the end of the summer.
Roan
Perfect.
Francis
That is a perfect short for that. Fabletics has so many perfect clothing options for so many seasons and so many activities.
Roan

Roan
Bingo. If you watched my watermelon eating video yesterday or a few days ago, I'm wearing a long sleeve Fabletics white T shirt in that which it did a brilliant job of absorbing the watermelon juices from my mouth shop now@fabletics.com boydad to get 70 to 80% off everything when you sign up as a new VIP. Sean
You see all that weed in Texas? What like the laws? Like you get caught with a gram. It's like I think you get life in Prison?
Francis
Yeah. I saw Casey Musgraves. No, it's not even just weed. It's like, Delta.
Sean
Like, yeah, that shit's all illegal now.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
All the hemp.
Roan
Oh, they went backwards.
Sean
Yeah. Apparently 70% of people in Texas wanted it to be fully legalized, and then they made it way more illegal.
Francis
Eagle. Oh, and which makes you just think, like, what's Rogan even doing down there?
Sean
I know, right? What's happening down there?
Francis
Because I'm pretty sure I watched Musk and Rogan, Chief and Devil's Let on the set in Texas.
Roan
Also.
Francis
Texas.
Sean
Like, I don't know. Didn't all those guys move down to Texas because they were like, we got to get out of California. It's too government. Too government heavy. And now it's like, if you smoke weed, you go to prison.
Roan
This is the forever fallacy of, like, yeah, all the. All the red states have strong bans on. On things like Gam. You can't. Sports game now in Texas right now. Now you can fully.
Francis
I mean, prediction markets have opened up. All different types of, like, DraftKings is legal in all states now because the prediction markets.
Sean
But can you even bet on sports on that?
Francis
Yeah.
Roan
Huh?
Francis
Of course. Come on, bro.
Sean
What? That's. This is all like, you can't smoke weed, but you can smoke Delta 9 now. You can. You can't gamble, but you can do prediction markets. Like, what are we doing?
Francis
Just. It's endless.
Sean
So stupid.
Francis
It's an endless cycle of loopholes.
Sean
Yeah, like. Like just legalize it if there's going to be all these insane loopholes. You got people smoking angel dust thinking it's weed
Francis
or 2k. Yeah, I think it's. The tax rates in California are pretty bad, though. Oh, definitely not just the government's big, but, like, the amount that you're getting taxed and that you have to be trans to live there.
Sean
That's crazy that they're making that a
Francis
law that you have to be trans.
Sean
And they're using the flock cameras to find all the CIS white men and kill them. You know, that's what this. You know, that's what the flock cameras are. They're. It's an attack on straight white cis.
Francis
Whites. Yeah, well, you would think that, but then I. I listen to the brother, Matt Walsh, just talk about how good flock cameras are for, like, 30 minutes.
Sean
He's. He's compromised.
Francis
Aren't you supposed to be against this?
Sean
Anyone who's pro flock camera is compromised.
Francis
He's like, this is a time when a flock camera Stopped a crime or. Or like, helped catch someone who did a crime. It's like. That's insane.
Sean
Who.
Francis
Who is caping for the flock cameras?
Sean
I have no idea. Idea.
Roan
Who? What is the camera?
Francis
They're privatized. It's. It's 1984. You've read 1984?
Roan
Yeah.
Francis
It's just.
Sean
We're under 24 hour surveillance.
Francis
Yes. And at. In all places, at all times.
Sean
A flock camera is an automated license plate reader system used by law enforcement, private businesses, and HOAs to capture vehicle data. Each solar or battery powered roadside unit. Typically it doesn't matter. Cost $3,000. Data captured snaps high contrast photos of license plate, vehicle make, model, color uploads.
Francis
I don't know. But it's not just doing. It's not just capturing.
Sean
But why is this such a big deal? I genuinely don't.
Francis
It's not just capturing.
Sean
I'm just talking out of my ass.
Francis
It's not just capturing cars. It's capturing like, human images and like, it's using data to like, be like. Like this guy's walking down the street with a description of them.
Sean
Yeah. So is this everywhere or is this just in certain states right now? Cuz I haven't seen these in New York.
Francis
I think it's in certain, like, places and neighborhoods. And I saw like.
Sean
I know people are like, destroying them when they see them, which is probably a bad idea.
Francis
Why?
Sean
Cuz they're recording you.
Francis
Well, that's why you have to sneak up from behind. Honestly, that's what garage wire should be used for. Just go.
Sean
Yeah. Taking out the flock cameras.
Francis
Oh, no. He's choking me. Killing the AI with your hands. It's a big. It's a big hot button topic on the debate shows.
Sean
Oh, yeah, it's a big. It's a buzz right now.
Francis
You got to hear what Riley Gaines has to say about flock cameras.
Sean
I was trying to talk to my buddies about it last night. Just completely just making up as I usually do. But I was just. Just, you know, just trying to start something. Something.
Francis
Yeah, get the. You know, get it going.
Sean
You guys hear about these flock cameras? Bad news.
Francis
You actually. You floated it on the last episode of Son of a Boy. Dad.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Francis
And nobody bit now. But now.
Sean
Now we're here.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
Yeah. I was waiting.
Francis
Yeah. Yeah. It was only a matter of time before we got into the flock cameras. Francis, you need to. You need to check this out as a serious infringement of our liberties.
Sean
Now, Francis will be pro flock camera.
Roan
Unfortunately, I don't know that I Will be. In fact, I don't think I would.
Francis
Yeah, see, Love that.
Roan
But love that I don't think. Flock. Waka flocka cameras.
Francis
I got a whole lot of money. Waka flocka cameras. I would pay for 100%.
Roan
Yeah.
Sean
Cameras that just start recording Waka Flocka 24 hours a day.
Francis
That would be amazing.
Sean
There's cameras set up around the entire country tracking specifically waka flocka's movements.
Francis
Satellite just honing in on Waka flocka. I was kind of picturing like, full waka flockas with cameras for as eyes that are just on every street corner. Just like a full, like, animatronic waka flocka on in every, like, private community.
Sean
I like that a lot, hoas.
Francis
But yeah, really, you know, is it.
Roan
Is.
Francis
Is that our. Is that our freedom of. Is that journalistic integrity? Is that freedom of the press? It's not exactly the press. Guess it's kind of just surveilling.
Sean
It's just surveillance.
Francis
Yeah.
Roan
I've done something nice in my life, which is that as I have checked out from keeping up with the news, I have also allowed my opinions to dissipate. I think most people go the other way.
Sean
It's a bad. This is bad.
Roan
They become less informed.
Francis
Yeah.
Roan
Stronger opinions.
Sean
You need your opinions.
Roan
I don't want to have opinions. Nobody needs to know what I say,
Sean
disagree, or to be able to say
Roan
that speaking into a microphone. But again, I just hope that nobody takes a single thing I say seriously.
Sean
Oh, me as well. Because I know I'm wrong.
Francis
Doesn't I think the Japanese think that, like, if you. If you know a lot about politics, you're a nerd.
Sean
Oh, yeah. They don't give a. About politics out there.
Francis
Yeah. They think it's uncouth to be, like, busying yourself with the everyday politics. And most of the guys, like, running for politics are, like, in, like, a Barney outfit or, like a full yellow suit with, like, spiky, funky hair. Like.
Sean
But do they have flash cameras in Japan?
Francis
I actually probably.
Sean
They probably do. They probably got something way more high tech.
Francis
They're probably filming you, like, through your toilet seat or. They did. They made people. They make noise when you take a picture. Because people are taking too many upskirts.
Sean
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Francis
Because so. So maybe they're fighting against that. I don't know. You'll be boots on the ground. When are you leaving for Japan?
Roan
Japan?
Francis
Are you going to Japan first or Las Vegas?
Sean
Oh, Vegas to Japan.
Roan
Going to Vegas. You're in War dogs middle of September. And Then I'm gonna go to Japan at the end of September.
Francis
What? You're going to both in September?
Roan
I'm only going to Japan for four days.
Sean
It's a lot of MQDs.
Francis
Good God. You're trying to go around that MQD wheel twice, trying to double.
Sean
This might be the year. You think this could be the.
Roan
For 360. No. You know, we're not going to talk about it. It's not going to happen.
Francis
Did you. I think Big Cat announced that the Internet Invitational is going to be next week.
Roan
Did he?
Francis
I think he said that on the act.
Sean
Oh, really?
Roan
I'm pretty sure that's great.
Sean
Hell, yeah. That's.
Roan
I'm really excited to see him, actually. He was so fun last year. It's like, there is definitely something really fun about. About not being in the tournament. You get to relax and just.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Roan
Jokes. And hang out with really cool and funny people.
Sean
Yeah, it's probably a blast. You're pretty much chilling.
Roan
Everyone who I've talked to, who I've mentioned that I'm very, very nervous about it tells me that I'm playing with house money. That's not true.
Sean
No, not at all.
Roan
I'm not playing with house money. What?
Sean
Where would the house money be?
Roan
They're like, well, you already won it once. It's like, yeah. And now there's an entirely new competition happening.
Sean
Yeah. And the prize has what? Quadrupled.
Roan
Quadrupled.
Sean
Yeah. Yeah.
Roan
If anything, I was playing with pesos before.
Francis
Yeah, yeah.
Sean
Now we need this bad.
Francis
You're playing with Japanese yen.
Roan
We need it.
Sean
I think we should get a flock camera. If you win, just get out. Get one of our own. Because you said it said personal businesses have them. Like, we could have one. Just get one just mounted right there.
Francis
There.
Sean
We should record our podcast via Flock camera.
Francis
Or like, via a network of flock cameras. Like, we just travel in between flock cameras. I mean, 20.
Roan
We.
Francis
25 to $3,000 a year. Like, that's. That ain't that much.
Roan
Speaking of business, I saw Kelly Keegan standing on business yesterday with what? You know that guy Kareem?
Sean
Yes, the guy that we work with. The guy who's been here for, like, eight years.
Francis
He's the. Yeah.
Roan
Karim was giving her a hard time about talking about Austin.
Sean
Oh, really?
Roan
At this concert that they were at.
Sean
What a weird conversation for a concert.
Roan
No, no, that Austin was at.
Sean
Oh, you meant they, like, ran into each other at a concert and started arguing about Austin?
Roan
No, I don't think that's what it was either way. Kelly went, you. You know, you. She. She rises. She rises to the occasion. And I watched that happen, and I was like, yeah. She said to Kareem, she was like, what are you saying? Say that louder. Because then one of the people started. Robbie started filming, and then Kareem kind of wilted. Kareem was like, you're talking about my boy. And I went, gay. He's like, it's one of my boys. I was like, how many boys do you have, Kareem? I was doing that. I was ruining it for everybody. That's fun, but it was fun for me.
Sean
Yeah. No, I love it. Yeah.
Roan
But I was also. I was also de. Escalating by inserting humor into what was mounting into an armed conflict.
Francis
I think Kareem was the one who I was talking about yesterday that would cancel the. Cancel his door dash orders or say. Say they didn't get delivered.
Sean
Oh, yeah, that's not surprising.
Francis
At the risk of exposing myself to his burner army, Kareem said that he
Roan
grew up playing Call of Duty and that he was really, really good at it when he was younger.
Sean
Yeah, everyone is.
Roan
This one's brought to you by Tick Pick. Ever actually read a ticket receipt? Service fee, processing fee, convenience fee. Convenient for who? That's an extra 30 bucks a ticket. TickPick doesn't do that. Never has, never will. No fees means the exact same seat. Same section, same row, cost less on Tickpick. Fans trust tickpick for all their live events. Sean
People don't realize how much worse they are than these guys. Like, they don't realize, like, how good these people are. Like, the.
Francis
I don't know.
Sean
We don't got to get all into it, but, like, the. The difference between, like, like, so obviously our season's over and, like, we're going to have to get, like, a new roster and, like, rebuild and everything. Everything. And, like, people are, like, sending me clips of people who, like, play really well and, like, ranked play on Call of Duty. And it's like, every single person in challengers is. Would be the best person in ranked play. Even the worst players in challengers are the best players in, like, ranked play. Like, the skill Gap is not even. It just looks the same because they're playing against people who are the same skill as them. You know what I mean?
Roan
Sure.
Sean
Like, it's like if you were like. Like we had. Me and. Me, Bo and Matt were talking about last night because Bo started playing tennis and. Really?
Francis
Yeah, he's getting into tennis. Why'd you bury the lead? Bo's getting into tennis?
Sean
Yeah, he's getting into tennis.
Roan
Bono that I play tennis.
Francis
Yeah. You know, Francis is.
Sean
I'm. I'm sure. Yeah, he's getting into tennis.
Roan
Wait, does he, though?
Sean
I don't know.
Francis
Text him.
Sean
Text him.
Roan
Bo, you need to know right now. Yeah, maybe I'll.
Sean
I mean, he'll listen to this.
Roan
It's.
Sean
He listens to every episode.
Roan
Well, I'm playing tennis. I. I mean, I have always played tennis.
Sean
He listens to every episode, and it pisses me off so much.
Roan
It. Tennis runs in my family. My mom was an all American tennis player in college. What? Yeah. First class of women at Princeton. She was an all American tennis player.
Francis
Jesus.
Sean
That's pretty impressive.
Francis
Yeah.
Sean
So.
Francis
Yeah. What years was she at Princeton?
Roan
I don't know, 1950, something, something. No, that's when she was born. Must have been in the 1970s. Probably the late 1970s.
Francis
Damn. That was the first year of women there.
Roan
Let me look at. See what.
Sean
So Matt, his brother, is, like, insane at tennis. Like. Like, that's like all. Like, that was his whole life pretty much until, like, the last couple years. And Matt, therefore, is also good at tennis. And Bo was pretty much arguing that he thinks that he could. He could beat Matt in tennis after playing. I think he said he has played eight times and had two lessons. And I was like. And he was like, I can hit the ball over the net. And I was like, brother, there's a. There's. There's more to it than just that. Like, the. The skill gap is still massive.
Francis
Brag to you that he can hit the ball over the net.
Sean
He's lost. He's. He's completely lost.
Francis
Is he four?
Sean
He might be.
Francis
I can hit the ball over the net.
Sean
Yeah. That was his big standing point.
Roan
That's like, I'm never gonna play with him. He's way too far behind me.
Sean
Yeah, he is.
Roan
Bo, are you hearing this?
Francis
You.
Roan
I can't believe you. You could play tennis with me.
Sean
We were also debating if. What. What's a harder sport to get into? Golf or tennis?
Roan
Golf.
Sean
They said golf. I said, it's the same.
Roan
Getting to what I would call scratch in Golf, which.
Sean
I don't know, but we're not even talking about that.
Roan
I'm just saying to a proficient level or a high proficiency level in golf is far harder than a high proficiency level in tennis, in my opinion. Opinion.
Sean
I don't know. I know, but you haven't played. You've played golf at a much higher level than you've played tennis.
Roan
I don't know if that's true. I grew up playing competitive tennis.
Sean
Yeah, but you play golf against. You've played golf with professional golfers.
Roan
Yeah, I don't compete with them, though.
Sean
Yeah.
Roan
I'm just, like, there among them.
Sean
I don't know. The way that I saw. The way that I saw it in my head was like, if you're playing tennis against someone, even if, like, I. I think, like. Like, I feel like if Bo was to play tennis against someone who's really good at tennis, like, he would never even have seen the ball come at him that fast. Like, he wouldn't even know what to do with himself.
Roan
Yeah, he'd lose. 6, 060.
Sean
Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Like, it's not like, just because you can hit the ball doesn't mean that you're gonna be able to hit the ball against.
Roan
Yeah, but if I played match playing golf against a PGA Tour professional, I'd lose every single hole. Maybe I wouldn't lose every hole, but I'd lose quickly.
Sean
But you don't. So you don't think you would lose every. Every. Like, do you think.
Roan
I think that if I played Novak Djokovic in a full set of tennis on my serve, I might win one. One point. I might win one point per game. Per game.
Sean
I don't think you're getting a single point.
Roan
The thing is, is that I have a big serve. You're probably right. I probably.
Francis
Well, because he might have an unforced error, though.
Roan
I don't think my serve. I. I was. I had a big serve, but it
Sean
doesn't matter because he goes up against people with the biggest.
Roan
He's going to get everything back. Yeah, you're right. But I do think Francis has a big serve.
Francis
I don't think you're.
Sean
But this is, like, me being like,
Roan
my serve is so big that when, like. Like when I'm tired, they have to bring in people with small serves to.
Sean
You're not getting a single point.
Roan
It, like, makes people confused. My serve confuses me.
Sean
It doesn't. Your serve confuses people who don't play tennis. But if you were going up against the. One of the greatest Tennis players of all time. His serve would make, per. Your serve would make perfect sense to him.
Roan
You're not.
Sean
There would be no confusion about yourself.
Roan
I'm just saying, like, if I, I could hit a bomb flat serve out wide that would. One. Once. Let's call it once in a set. Once in a set. He might not get back. It might, he might just. He might not get it back. And there's a point.
Sean
It's possible.
Roan
It's. That's a point, right?
Sean
Yeah, that's possible. Possible.
Roan
I'll walk off a point. A game. I'll, I'd call it. I think I would win.
Sean
I think it's the same.
Roan
I could win four points in a set.
Sean
I think it's the same argument as people saying that if they were, if they were to get that 100 at bats in the MLB, they would get it. They would get a hit. I don't think they would.
Francis
Well, there's only one way to sort this out.
Roan
One hit out of a hundred at bats.
Sean
Yes.
Roan
Someone who's played baseball.
Sean
Not obviously not someone who's played it
Roan
like professional high school baseball.
Sean
High school baseball. I don't think someone's gay. They're getting a single.
Roan
But didn't Marty Mush, like hit a ball off that?
Francis
Marty Mush played in college.
Sean
D1.
Roan
Okay, so you're just discounting him?
Sean
Well, D1, college baseball is obviously closer to the MLB than high school baseball.
Roan
Sure, I, but he, he hit against that guy.
Sean
I just feel like, I feel like
Roan
it's just got a hit.
Sean
The professional is just, everything's just faster and, and, and perfect. Like I feel like you're getting up to bat if you're like someone who's confident that you could get a hit and then all of a sudden the ball comes at you faster than you've ever seen anything move in your life.
Roan
What do you think is harder? Returning an Andy Roddick in his prime serve or a Ben Shelton serve right now or hitting a 100 mile an hour fastball into the play?
Sean
It's, I mean, it's hard for me to say because the both of those are so insanely far fetched for me. I don't think I would do. I don't think I would make contact with either.
Roan
The only reason I would say tennis is because I've played tennis.
Sean
Yeah, I've never played tennis.
Roan
Whereas I'd have no frame of reference for hitting 100 mile an hour. I just close my eyes.
Sean
Yeah. I would be terrified in both scenarios.
Roan
I'd be less Terrified in tennis because you can stand all the way against the backstop.
Sean
Yeah, that's true.
Francis
Do you think I don't know that your mom was at Princeton at the same time as John Nash?
Roan
That's a good question. I don't know. She was. Class of 1973.
Sean
I don't want, like, I. I don't want to bring it back to video games again, but I'm going. My, my reference point here is that I've played Call of Duty my entire life. Right. Over probably 20 years, I've been playing Call of Duty. And I spawned in and that at that tournament and the people that I was playing against, it was like. It was like, like, you watch Professional Call, I watch the professionals play. And in my head I'm like, I could get it. Like, I could, could. I could. If I was. If I was dropped into a team with three other pros, I could hold my own. And then you get out there and it's like, you. Oh, my God. Like, I don't even know what's happening. Like this, like, the difference from people that do things professionally to people that have done things as a hobby, even like, like, very seriously.
Francis
Like, it's. If you drop someone on fourth mic with us right now.
Sean
Exactly.
Francis
They'd be. They'd be lost.
Sean
Exactly.
Francis
They wouldn't know. They wouldn't know what to say because they'd be like, whoa, what are we talking about? Willem Dafoe still.
Sean
It's just, bro. I feel like people don't remember that these people dedicated their entire life that
Francis
were goats top 200.
Sean
Like those people their entire life was dedicated to returning a serve.
Roan
None of this is. They take away from anything. All I'm doing is trying to decide whether or not I think the golf or the tennis is harder.
Sean
Yeah, it's a good. It's a good debate.
Roan
I. The man. It's crazy. Marty Fish had a very good interview excerpt that I saw about this Bo.
Sean
That's what I. Bo said he was Feder and I said, you're Marty Fish.
Roan
Marty Fish said something about. They were like, what's harder? Golf or tennis or something. And he said that winning a ma. I think it was like winning a major in tennis or winning a major in golf. And he said it was. He said that in tennis, it's so fast that you can't, like, adjust on the fly or like, it's over before you know it. It's all happening so quickly. Whereas golf, there's so much time to tense up and think about what's Happening and closing out a major. I think he ultimately came to the conclusion that winning a major in golf was harder.
Sean
Yeah, I could see that.
Roan
And this is a man who plays really good golf and obviously really good tennis.
Francis
His.
Sean
That documentary of Marty Fish was so good.
Roan
Oh, about his anxiety.
Sean
Yeah. Marty supreme got me. Got me through. Got me through a dark time.
Roan
I thought that was really good. And I also thought it was amazing when Andy Roddick said that he was the only player he'd ever seen who kind of in the later half, like, switched into that second gear.
Sean
Oh, yeah.
Roan
What it need. What you need to do.
Sean
Yeah, that was pretty interesting in order
Roan
to actually be that good, because I remember thinking that and being like, okay, well, so I just haven't found my second gear yet.
Sean
Yeah. You're still waiting to find it.
Roan
Well, I was. I always think about clicking into it. I'm like, some point soon I'll really put the pedal to the floor. And then you remind me that it's not cool to do that.
Francis
No.
Sean
I feel like I'm starting to hit my second gear.
Francis
Can you tell him what you were telling me in the car?
Roan
What is this?
Francis
That I don't know if I'm allowed to say it.
Roan
I don't think I want to talk about that yet. I think. I don't think I want to talk about that yet.
Francis
It was that it was news that was. It was the most excited that I've been of any news that I've received in 2026.
Roan
Very soon, very soon, I'll talk about that. If that becomes something, and even if it doesn't, then I'll tell how funny it was that I thought it would. But it's funny.
Francis
Talk about a fucking tease.
Roan
No, I'm not trying to tease. I apologize.
Sean
I feel like I'm being teased.
Francis
Do you feel teased?
Sean
I feel teased and I feel like a fool. I feel foolish and like an outsider.
Roan
I mean, maybe I'll tell you after we're done. I don't want to tell.
Francis
Don't even tell.
Roan
I don't want to put it out into the world because it's. It's like what Emperor. What Caesar says about Rome.
Sean
Rome, which is.
Roan
It was. It was Julius Caesar in Matt, in Gladiator, before the old man, before he dies, before Commodus kills him. And he's like, Rome was so delicate, you even. You would only whisper about it and it might disappear.
Francis
Yeah.
Roan
Is that him that says that?
Francis
No. And then he's like. And I'm bringing in some pipeline.
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
I'M lost up Rome.
Sean
I'm completely lost now. Now all I'm thinking about is what this is.
Francis
You and me are good.
Roan
What this is.
Sean
What this is. Does it. Does this benefit.
Roan
The dream of Rome was so fragile that anything more than a whisper would make it vanish.
Sean
Is it. Is it something about the show?
Roan
No. Marcus Aurelius.
Francis
It's completely different.
Roan
Marcus Aurelius.
Francis
Aelius that said that. Uhhuh. No way. That was Aelus.
Sean
Is LeBron coming on the podcast?
Roan
This one?
Sean
I'm just trying to guess what. What this could be be.
Roan
No.
Sean
You're in touch with LeBron.
Francis
You see that Jaylen Brown went skydiving.
Sean
No, I didn't.
Francis
I'm out on him that he's not on the Celtics.
Sean
Yeah. And I don't watch him anymore.
Francis
He wants guys a bum.
Sean
Enjoy your Twitch streamer.
Francis
You're so hurtful, bro. And, like, I just don't know why
Sean
I'm rooting on that team's downfall.
Francis
Enjoy. When AJ Brown gets four catches for 30 yards and he goes on a janky Rondo.
Sean
We don't need A.J.
Roan
brown.
Sean
You don't. We don't need them.
Francis
Clip that.
Sean
We don't need them. Got. We got Booty.
Francis
Booty's getting traded, bro. Booty.
Sean
Come on.
Francis
Since.
Sean
Come on now. Booty's a patriot forever.
Roan
All right.
Sean
I'm expecting a big breakout year from Trayvon Henderson.
Francis
Do you see the stuff he's been saying about God? Of course. He with him.
Sean
Heavy with him. So heavy. And I love that.
Francis
I think he's making AI posts about God.
Sean
I think that God with Travy on heavy duty, too.
Francis
Really? Well, he wouldn't need AI to talk about God if he just could speak from the heart.
Sean
You think Trayvon's going AI?
Francis
It reads like an AI post about God. I hope not AI say something glowing about God. Actually put that prompt in.
Sean
Do you think I've kind of wanted, like, I've thought about this. Like, if you. Do you think if you. I know Ben Avery did this. He did. Like, he tried. Tried to get engagement. Like, he tried to, like, engagement bait enough on Twitter to, like, see how much money he could make. But I'm wondering, like, if you were to just, as a side hustle, just create a fully AI account, like, how fast do you think it would gain traction? And, like, how fast you think you'd, like, start making actual money with it?
Francis
It depends what type of AI you want it or what type of content you want to do.
Sean
I mean, there's really two options. Or like politics slash tech guy that doesn't exist on Twitter who just tweets things better.
Francis
But like that will require more input in your AI to create like realistic pictures.
Sean
Yeah, I think it's just like long ass essays on Twitter.
Francis
I think anti, like, like, like racial stuff I think would go crazy. Yeah, like, you know, there's like, you know how they in fight club when they like killed the guy and like 20 of them take took his place?
Sean
Yeah.
Francis
The same thing is happening right now with Chud the builder.
Sean
There's a bunch of new chuds.
Francis
There's Mexican Chud the builder.
Sean
No, come on.
Francis
That's a dude who's called Mexican. Chud the building.
Sean
Yeah, but you can't be Chud the builder if you're Mexican. It doesn't work.
Francis
I mean, it's working. He's just saying the N word to people's faces.
Sean
But it's a Mexican like that. People are expecting that already. The Mexicans say it more than black dudes say it.
Francis
He's almost white. Presenting honestly. All right, all right, good.
Sean
All right, we will see you guys next week. Thank you for listening. Goodbye.

Hosts/Guests: Lil Sasquatch (Sean), Rone, Francis
This episode finds the "Son of a Boy Dad" crew—Sean (Lil Sasquatch), Rone, and Francis—exploring a wild assortment of everyday grievances, pop culture debates, and New York adventures. The show jumps from blue-collar heroics and Funko Pop-body critique, to rants on credit cards, social surveillance, weed laws, and the strange physics of professional tennis. Throughout, the trio mix irreverent humor and self-aware banter, keeping things light even when wrestling with deeper social, political, and existential questions.
Their main theme: navigating adulthood in a world that’s constantly changing (and increasingly weird), leaning on each other for perspective, and processing how “manliness,” technology, and culture are shifting.
This episode is a must for fans of observational comedy, guy-talk podcasts, and anyone navigating adulthood with a sense of ironic detachment and humor.
