Francis
Yeah. All right. Welcome back to the Son of Avoid that podcast. Today it's a day. We are here live from HQ3. Trying this for the third time now, third intro.
Ron
We've had the restart a couple times because SaaS is just constantly introducing a new slur for Portuguese people. I didn't know there was one. The little tilde over the.
Harry
The o. Geezers.
Ron
Geezers. Old geezers, yes. So good to see you. That's. Those are shoes you were wearing to dinner the other night.
Harry
Yeah. I love that outfit. I thought to myself, I'm gonna run that back.
Francis
I love that.
Ron
It was such a damn good outfit. I just bought a bunch of new socks from Uniqlo and I think that I am a bit inspired by the socks that you've been weari Uniqlo. What are your thoughts on that brand?
Francis
Oh, I love Uniqlo.
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
I would think you might.
Francis
Yeah. It's for me. It's built for me.
Ron
Unique for, like, unique guys who are on the down.
Harry
Skinny Japanese boys.
Ron
Is it Japanese or is it skinny,
Francis
skinny, skinny, fat Japanese boys?
Harry
It's got to be Japanese. Can we look up?
Francis
It is. It's Japanese. I'm like. I'm like a member.
Ron
You have to be. I'm a member to. Now. I should have known that because when. When you bought. When I bought it, I had to sign up for a membership.
Francis
Oh, yeah. Did you go to the store?
Ron
No, but I've done it.
Francis
There's one in soho. They have the thing where you. When you scan, like when you check out, you just throw everything in and it knows every item that you have. It's a self checkout, but it has like, the sensors. So like, you could have, like two pairs of socks, a pair of underwear and a shirt. You throw it all in, it immediately has it all ringed up.
Harry
It's like when you go to the airport someplace, y steal everything.
Francis
Exactly like that.
Harry
You find out you had. You paid for it.
Francis
You paid for all of it. Yeah.
Ron
But in reality, it's a man in Bangladesh.
Francis
Yeah, Exactly.
Ron
Just counting 1, 2, 3, 4 pairs of socks.
Francis
That's two pairs of socks.
Ron
But I went through a. I did an aggressive purge of all of my. Of all of my things, and I had so many. Do you guys suffer from having, like, mismatched socks in a drawer? There's tons of them. Hundreds. And so I washed everything and then I just went through the entire mismatched sock pile and I nuked it and I was like, if you don't have a partner, you're getting thrown out. I don't care how much I love the one soccer. I, I'm throwing you in the trough
Francis
because I've got a couple pair. I've got a couple pairs of really good. Just one sock.
Ron
Yeah, but it's like what you're, you're holding on to.
Francis
Those aren't pairs. I have a couple.
Harry
You got a couple Lone Rangers?
Francis
Yeah, yeah, real good. But like, you just look at them and you're like, I wish I knew.
Harry
Will you match those with other Lone Rangers? Will you go, will you go two different socks?
Francis
Yeah. I don't get rid of the, I don't get rid of the Lone Rangers.
Harry
But will you wear them?
Francis
Ye.
Harry
Yes.
Ron
What's so good are these wool socks? Cuz that's the only thing that could be like so good about a sock.
Francis
Oh, I got a lot of smart wool socks that I have to mismatch.
Harry
Those are good socks.
Ron
Great.
Francis
I mean, expensive socks too.
Ron
How much like they cost?
Francis
It's like a pair of shoes.
Harry
Sometimes I'll wear them without shoes.
Francis
Yeah, they're like $40 or 40 bucks
Ron
or some like, for a pair of socks.
Francis
They're not 40. They're not 40. They's probably like 30 if I had to guess.
Harry
I think they're 20. One pair is 20 bucks. That's a lot.
Ron
It's free falling right now. The price is free falling.
Harry
But they last forever. There is a difference.
Francis
Do they last forever though?
Harry
I have smart wool socks in my drawer right now. Where, I mean, you know the fact that I don't put them away for winter because they take up so much space. I mean, they're Christmas stockings.
Francis
Yeah. They're hefty.
Harry
They're the type of things you put on like a horse to keep their feet warm in winter. And I, they just sit there taking up 75, 5% of the sock drawer. And then all my cute little white socks are off to the left stuffed in a fucking.
Francis
I got a lot of socks, but
Ron
I think with the lot of socks. But you, you get into the like fear of like. Well, the pair is somewhere in the rotation. Like, you're like, if I haven't washed every piece of clothes that I have so you can take inventory. You're like, well, the other one's probably just in the laundry of these two. I need to be able to put these together. Yeah, you have to wash everything. So you just have everything in front of you and you're just like, if this sock doesn't have a pair, shoot it in the back. You have to get rid of them. And it felt like looking at my sock drawer right now is so satisfying.
Harry
Yeah, that's nice.
Ron
And I'm sure I've been. I've room. So I hit the Uniqlo. I hit it hard.
Harry
The post purge. The post purge admiration of a closet is one of those Uniqlo good feelings.
Ron
And then you. And then you. You're like, I could shop a little.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
And you. And then you kind of ruin the problem.
Harry
I've got. I've got space.
Francis
Did you pick up anything else at Uniqlo or just box?
Ron
I picked up some. I picked up some pairs of underwear as well because my underwear drawer was looking a little bit light.
Francis
I don't know if I would recommend the Uniqlo underwear.
Ron
Really? You.
Francis
Not really my style, but also I'm a boxer's guy, so.
Harry
Oh.
Ron
Well, these are boxer briefs and two of the pairs. And I bought them just to feel sexy. They were. They were termed low rise boxer briefs. I don't know what it means.
Francis
I don't know if you could pay me to even try that on.
Ron
I bought two pair of low ride boxer briefs. What the is low rise?
Harry
These boxers will intentionally sag off your ass.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
To make it look dumpy as hell.
Francis
They like down by like your pubes.
Ron
I haven't gotten them yet. I just saw them and I was like, these look sexy, bro.
Francis
Those are diabolical.
Ron
Those aren't Uniqlo. That's. As we move. That's what I'll pull up. The Uniqlo low rise boxer briefs.
Harry
Oh, wow.
Francis
I mean, even those, like, that's what you guys wear?
Harry
No, not what I wear.
Ron
I. I mean, all I have is a picture of these boxer br. Briefs in front of a white background. So I don't know what. How they'll look like on Shaft Boxer
Francis
briefs I can't wear.
Harry
Why not?
Francis
They're just so uncomfortable.
Harry
That's crazy. You're not. But for what it's worth, there are boxer. I'm very particular about my underwear.
Francis
Me too. Yeah.
Harry
And I. There's only one. I've only worn one type of underwear for about 15 years.
Francis
Pretty much me as well.
Ron
And high rise.
Harry
No. Yeah, I wear. I wear the high rise. Yeah. I wear 17th floor downtown Manhattan.
Ron
You got skyscrapers.
Harry
I got some. I put my arms in first.
Ron
High rise.
Harry
I got the high rise. They cover my belly button.
Ron
No man should be wearing low rise, though. Like that is how you get plumbers crack. Yeah, like low rise is insane.
Francis
I also like do wear underwear that goes up to my belly button.
Harry
My, my boxers are so high rise that when I pee I pull them out the leg. I pull my dick out the leg. Not the middle, just the bottom of
Ron
a tight, a tight ass leg. Like that doesn't look that crazy, does it?
Francis
Yeah, that's insane.
Harry
Boxer trunks.
Ron
That's just like a nice boxer trunk
Francis
if you have washboard abs.
Ron
Yeah, well, why don't girls get plumber crack?
Francis
I mean the model is shredded.
Harry
Yeah, of course he is. They always are. They always are.
Francis
Those would be baggy on me.
Harry
They should have someone like. You guys like airy modeling.
Ron
They don't have plus size male models. No, they only have plus size female. Like body positivity doesn't exist.
Francis
You know what it is though? That a lot of like the, a lot of like the fishing brands are, are using plus size men now.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
Well, I think it's probably because a lot of fishermen are fat and. Oh yeah, you like, you'll go to like get like a fishing shirt and it's just some dude just bursting through it. You're like, ah, ah.
Harry
What was I going to say? I was going to say this. I'm. I agree that not all boxer briefs are comfortable and the ones that ride up are the worst.
Francis
I don't like the, I don't like them sticking to my legs.
Harry
Yes.
Francis
But dude, I don't want compression on my legs.
Harry
I think you're going to get to this point.
Francis
I probably will.
Harry
You're going to get to a point where you're going to realize like wearing boxers is insane. It's, it's childish.
Francis
It is. Dude, I'm never.
Harry
You're gonna need. One day you're gonna need to like run.
Francis
Yeah. And I'll run.
Ron
No, then your ball's gonna get like wrapped around your leg like a skip it.
Harry
You're gonna rip your underwear as you're taking long.
Francis
No, no, you've got this completely.
Harry
It's gonna shift and it's gonna be stiff on one leg, you know, and then it'd be tight and you'll take a stride and the whole thing will rip down the ass.
Francis
That's what you'd think.
Harry
I remember I used to do that. I used to rip my boxers every day.
Francis
These are like, if I were to take my shorts off, my underwear would fall to my ankles. Like, these are like, I'm wearing like a triple XL2 pairs. There's plenty of room for movement.
Harry
What?
Francis
I'm not being restricted at all.
Harry
You got no support whatsoever?
Francis
Zero.
Ron
That's also like, unhealthy for your ball health.
Francis
According to who?
Ron
The aba, bro. The American Ball Association.
Harry
Yeah. Damn, Harry. Come on.
Ron
Let's listen to what AI has to say.
Francis
What is AI saying?
Ron
Let's, let's see. Baggy boxers are excellent for your testicles.
Harry
There we go.
Francis
All right.
Ron
Because they're loose, they allow for maximum airflow, which keeps your scrotum at the ideal, slightly lower temperature required for healthy sperm production.
Harry
Exactly. Man, Harry's aging his balls like wand.
Francis
Yep.
Ron
You actually need to be careful with those healthy ass balls. You can knock someone up by looking at them.
Harry
Damn.
Ron
All this time, lack of support means that they can cause chafing or painful bouncing during physical activities.
Harry
As soon as you find yourself in a physical activity someday. I know it hasn't happened in a while, but when it does, you're in for a real sad surprise.
Francis
I. I mean, now I'm getting worried because I'm literally going on a five mile hike tomorrow or next or I went on one already. And my balls got chafed on it.
Ron
Historically, have your balls been affected?
Francis
Not really now, but historically, my ass has been affected pretty bad.
Harry
What do you mean?
Francis
I get my. Like on those long hikes. I get chafing in the ass bad.
Harry
Around the. Around the around cracks. Oh, around the cracks.
Francis
Well, like around the cheek. Yeah.
Ron
What's rubbing against what?
Francis
The cheeks are rubbing together
Harry
like cleavage.
Francis
What do you mean?
Harry
Like your butt cheeks are going like this.
Francis
Well, yeah, when you're walking for five hours straight.
Harry
I don't think my cheeks are doing that.
Francis
What?
Ron
How? I don't know.
Francis
Your cheeks aren't touching. What do you have a cheek gap?
Harry
I think I got some cheek gap. I think I got some chap.
Francis
Well, I don't have a gaping asshole, so my cheeks naturally touch together.
Harry
I don't think your butt cheeks are supposed to be stuck together. If that's case, then how do you.
Ron
Friction.
Francis
It's friction.
Harry
Does it just like ooze out of your. Did you wipe like your whole crack?
Francis
Yes, I do, for starters. But also, no. My ass separates when I shit. But when I'm walking for hours at a time, like, even if it's very minimal friction, like, it starts to get chafed. So I got. I got some of the Gold Bond anti chafe.
Ron
I wonder what that I'm gonna rub
Francis
between my ass cheeks.
Ron
Well, you're not the only person that walks though. Why does this why does this problem afflict you and not the billions of other walkers?
Francis
You've never got chafing in the ass?
Ron
No, I mean, I've gotten like, around
Francis
the ass or maybe like.
Ron
Are you talking about like an itch? No, because that means you haven't wiped your ass.
Francis
No, no, no, I'm not talking about an itch.
Ron
Then, no, it's like, I have not gotten my ass chafed by. By doing some walking.
Francis
Well, you boys don't really get outside much, so I guess that would explain it.
Ron
Let's go 10 for 10.
Harry
I live outdoors.
Ron
We could go M for M. I
Francis
mean, maybe if you walked a course every now and then, you'd understand.
Harry
I'm walking one today.
Francis
Yeah?
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
How's that?
Harry
All right. I'll tell you what. I'm not going to come off and be like, boy, my. I wish my cheeks were a little.
Francis
But I'm not. I like, I want to. Like, I wanted that on the right.
Harry
I should have put. Put a spacer.
Francis
Like. Like, let me block. Let me give you my cheeks. Specific scenario. When we went to Wyoming for the. When I went to the Wyoming for the first time ever to visit Bo at. At the ranch that he worked at, which is like one of the first episodes we did of the show. We went on a. We went on a 14 mile hike. And the way up, I was totally fine. Set for seven miles, I was totally fine. It was probably like the last three miles on the way home where it was like, my ass was in a lot of hurt.
Harry
I think I need to clarify one more time. Are you talking about your rectum? Are you talking about the whole like.
Francis
I'm not talking about my asshole.
Harry
You're talking about fully exterior issue, but not quite exterior.
Francis
No, no. Exterior.
Harry
Then you're talking about the outside of your cheeks.
Francis
Like the outside right towards where they meet in the middle.
Harry
Yeah, that's what I thought it was. That's not fully exterior. That's aperture.
Francis
No, that's exterior. Anything that is not. The only thing that's not exterior is inside.
Ron
Model it out with your hands. Model it out with your hands.
Harry
I'm thinking that like Harry's.
Francis
If this is his crack, that's my crack.
Harry
He's getting chafe right in here.
Francis
No, no, no, no, no. It's more towards, like, where the cheeks meet. So say like the bottom.
Ron
Dude, that's an underwear problem. That's an underwear. It'll be like this.
Francis
It'd be like this. Like if you're walking just for hours.
Harry
Oh, it's bottom of the cheek.
Francis
Bottom of the cheek.
Harry
Okay, so, like, right down here.
Francis
Right down in there.
Harry
Right.
Ron
And it's. If you're wearing boxer briefs, that would be. That wouldn't be a problem. It's literally because of the boxers you're wearing.
Harry
I think your ass is sagging too much. And I think briefs.
Francis
I'm like, I don't have much of an ass to say.
Harry
I know. Well, I'm. Whatever the case.
Ron
Like, you got a Yoko Ono ass.
Harry
You need backlift. Most guys need front lift. You need back lift.
Ron
You need a wonder bra that lifts and separates.
Harry
Correct.
Ron
He needs a wonder bra for his ass.
Harry
You need some structure. You need wires.
Ron
You need a padded underwire wonder bra. You might be.
Francis
You guys might be right.
Ron
Honestly, just try wearing. Like, when was the last time you wore a boxer brief?
Francis
Oh, man. If I'm bringing out the briefs, it is laundry day. Has been. Oh, has been.
Harry
Ways to do.
Ron
So you have some.
Francis
I've got a couple pairs.
Ron
What are they doing? Where are they? Where are they from?
Francis
Hanes.
Ron
No, but what part of your life are they from?
Francis
Probably being on the road and forgetting underwear. Like, I have so many pairs of socks and underwear because of how many times I've gone on the road and just completely forgot to pack underwear.
Ron
I can't believe you moved with all of them. I can't believe you didn't take the chance of you moving.
Francis
I threw out, like, seven trash bags of clothes. Clothes when I moved.
Ron
Really?
Francis
And it didn't make a dent, bro. It's just, like, so many, like, oh, this is the shirt from when we had Dana beers on the act six years ago. And, you know, we all got. We got shirts made for it. Yeah, it's like. Like that. Like, I have so many. Like, I don't bring random shirts.
Harry
I don't.
Francis
I don't either anymore. But I used to bring home everything because I was like, I don't know how long this is gonna last, you know? And I was like, I'm getting a ton of free from Barstool. So I was bringing home every shirt that we had to, like, everything.
Ron
Yeah. I think that you. There's a point where you can't keep on hanging on to those things for the sentimental value, I think. I mean, like, Marie Kondo and, like, thank the clothes for the journey that they gave you in life, like, and just let them go.
Francis
Yeah, I do. I do get that.
Harry
I would say that you should do a day of what Marie Kondo says, which is that you're supposed to lay out every single item of clothing that you have on the floor so that you can see it all and then decide what's worth it. But your clothes are on the floor already.
Francis
Yeah, I'm making that decision every day.
Harry
You are. You're living in them, Walking around them like they're sleeping puppies.
Francis
Yeah, pretty much.
Ron
Yeah. And you have to look at everything and you. You have to say, does this bring me joy?
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
I mean, I got a lot of, like, jackets that I don't really. Oh, Just forgot about my rain jacket.
Harry
Well, you're going home.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
You already had the trip.
Francis
Gone.
Harry
What do you mean?
Francis
I don't know where it is.
Ron
He left it in Montana.
Francis
It's probably in Montana.
Harry
What are you talking about?
Francis
No, I'm just.
Harry
It's gone.
Francis
It's definitely gone.
Harry
Where'd you leave it?
Francis
I don't know. I forgot I was supposed to look for
Ron
Is tough to wear rain jackets this time of year or even to keep us an assessment of your exact jackets this time of year.
Francis
A rain jacket should be a yearly.
Ron
Yeah. Fresh purchase.
Francis
Fresh purchase. I feel that I. I honestly, I'm saying that, and I don't even know if I really believe it. I've never done that. I have never bought a rain jacket. Every year I own two. But I'm thinking about it now, and I'm like, I think a rain jacket you should re up on.
Ron
Yeah, maybe it's time to re up.
Francis
Yeah, it might be.
Ron
Honestly. Yeah. How slick is yours? How, how and how. How bulky is it?
Francis
My. I have two. One of them is like. It's a lot of the rain jackets are for show these days. Like, you. If you're actually in the rain, you got about 10 minutes until you're soaked. Like, they don't do anything.
Harry
That's not true.
Francis
Unless you get one of the ones that they wear in like. Like an old sailing movie. Like the yellow one that's like this thick.
Ron
The one from Shutter Island.
Francis
Yeah, exactly.
Ron
You need to be wearing a full length one.
Francis
Yeah. You're getting soaked now.
Ron
I have two rain jackets. One from palace, one from North Face, and they're both fucking awesome.
Francis
Really?
Ron
They both. They work against the rain?
Harry
Yeah, you're fine.
Ron
They were North Face.
Francis
One is. Which one's better?
Ron
Palace. They're both pretty good.
Francis
His palace that, like that streetwear brand.
Harry
Skateboarding and cool stuff.
Ron
Yeah, it's a skateboarding. It's a skateboarding. Cool.
Francis
Bone's cool. As I wear.
Ron
I wear my skateboarding raincoat. The people from palace will probably beat my ass, bro.
Francis
I wear that.
Ron
Owning that.
Francis
I. I didn't even know that was still a thing. I wear that Nike SB sweat. Those two sweatshirts that I have. People, the comments get furious.
Harry
Why?
Francis
They're like, he doesn't even skate. And I was like, oh, I didn't think that was still like a. Like, yeah, no, I don't.
Ron
I don't poser. Like, your poser for wearing skating shoes or like a palace. I just like how Palace. Yeah, yeah.
Francis
It was like one of the nicer Nike sweatshirts I've seen. I was like, I'm definitely gonna get this. No regrets. Great sweatshirts. Highly recommend them.
Harry
Did I. Did I ever tell you guys about my skateboarding year?
Francis
No.
Harry
Or maybe it was me and Tiger Kill Hour. Matthias. Matthias. I don't remember Matthias's last name. We all. We all got pretty into it. Matias was the best.
Francis
Were you actually skateboarding or were you, like, lawnboarding?
Harry
You know, I had a Zoo York deck.
Francis
Hell, yeah.
Harry
Spitfire trucks.
Francis
Love that.
Harry
Wheels.
Francis
No reds. Couldn't afford the reds.
Harry
I don't know what that is.
Francis
Different type of trucks.
Harry
Oh, I had DC shoes.
Francis
Hell, yeah.
Harry
I had an etne's backpack that you could put my skateboard in.
Francis
Fuck, yeah.
Harry
It was cool. That was the present my parents got me after I came out of the hospital. With the septic ankle thing.
Francis
You were like, I'm gonna be a grungy teen.
Harry
Well, the backpack worked because it had this pocket inside of which you could fit my IV bags so you could run the line from the backpack into my heart. I remember being like, yeah, that I
Ron
got my supreme catheter tube.
Harry
But, like, let's make it look cool. I'm not.
Ron
Well, that's Colostomy Bag by Famous,
Harry
but yeah. So I remember we. I, I, we. Okay, so. So we went to the skate park once in Brunswick, Maine. It was me and Tiger Killauer, and we were there, and I was wearing a lot of pads.
Francis
How old are you?
Harry
I was in fifth grade.
Ron
Okay, so you're 10, 11?
Harry
Yeah, something like that.
Francis
No shaman pads.
Harry
Yeah, but, like, you can wear elbow pads and knee pads. I mean, I was.
Francis
People don't. Like when you got the wrist guards on.
Harry
I had wrist guards on. I had a helmet, obviously. And we were. We. We were. I was at the top of the half pipe, and I'd never dropped in.
Francis
Jesus.
Harry
And there was a guy there who was, like, a few years older, and
Francis
you had tubes sticking out of your heart and all. Someone should have Been like, yo, this is a bad idea.
Harry
This was before. This was before that happened.
Ron
Like an IV Tower about to drop in with you. Yeah. On wheels.
Harry
Okay. So I'm standing there, and I'm with Tiger, and this older kid is, like, urging me on, and my. My board is, you know, I'm standing on the back tail or whatever, and, like, one foot on the half pipe and, like, trying to get the urge to, like, drop in. But I. I've only ever dropped into, like, a small quarter pipe before, which I was able to do, which is
Ron
still very difficult and scary.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
But, like. But he. This guy was like, there's nothing to it. You just need to commit. And then I never. I'll never forget this is seared into my brain. He goes, you're not gonna get hurt with all that shit you're wearing. Anyway, that was the thing that made me be like, yeah, I can't get hurt.
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
And, boy, did I get hurt. I did it. And I did what everybody probably does, which is that I didn't lean forward.
Francis
No.
Harry
I leaned back and just fell down the half pipe and landed kind of in the flat that. Oh. Hurt myself, like, you know, not. Not injured, but, like, took the wind out of me. Mangled your body, probably me up.
Francis
I don't get how some people, like, can just do that and be fine. Do you think they just, like, know how to fall?
Harry
I think they know how to fall, yeah. I think those guys know how to fall. And I also think that, like, guys like Nigel Houston or whatever, they have had so many horrific injuries and don't show the tape of fit.
Francis
True.
Harry
You know, those guys are just. I'll never understand how those guys just categorically don't wear helmets. I don't get that part of it.
Ron
Well, they're brave as hell.
Francis
I don't understand really. Like, I. I don't really understand the. The pain. Like, I don't have the pain tolerance. Like, I remember, like, I used to do, like, sk. I used to, like, ski, and I would do, like, the jumps and, like, the rails and stuff.
Harry
Yeah.
Francis
And, like, I remember, like, falling. Yeah. I remember, like, falling on a rail and, like, landing on my ass. I think that was the last time I ever. I was just like, I'm never gonna do this again. Like, it was like, it's because you
Ron
didn't have enough domestic abuse in your house.
Francis
It's probably what it is.
Ron
Like, the best skateboarders, boxers, football players, like, if you're domestically abused and no pain. Psychological pain, as well as Physical pain from a young age. Like you're sick on a half pipe. Yeah.
Harry
I wasn't domestically abused, but I was foreign abused. We had a nanny from England.
Ron
Really?
Harry
Who just beat the out of a non domest.
Ron
Dude. Mary Poppins whipping your ass?
Harry
Popping my ass with the belt.
Ron
No. Absolute.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
That would be brutal if Mary Poppins was secretly beating up those kids. She looked so sweet.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
She was coming down the chimney and beating soot out of their ass. Did you ever. Did you ever skate? No, never. I used to, I think in like third grade, I would, like, lie and say that I had a 6 foot 8 older brother who was a skateboarder.
Francis
6 foot 8?
Ron
Yeah. I just thought that was like, really
Francis
light to be skating.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
But it was like the two coolest things I could think of at that time. Yeah. Like height and being able to skate. I think I was just like, telling people he, like, broke his hand, broke his wrist doing a handstand on a half pipe. So specific.
Harry
You passed me one of those body armors.
Ron

Harry
I. I lied so much as a kid. I'm so glad I. That that broke that habit.
Ron
Yeah, it's an awful habit.
Harry
You finally just realize, like, yeah, this is not the way out.
Ron
But why?
Francis
That's just being a kid, though. Like I remember. Like I remember one time I got in trouble in kindergarten because my friend Jack. Jack, who I'm still friends with, we had to write what we did over the weekend. Wait, who's Jack Venture?
Ron
The tall. The tall handsome.
Francis
The one that we went to the Chain show with. Oh, at the Garden.
Harry
God, I forgot about that.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
Yeah. We were in kindergarten class, and we had to write what we did over
Ron
the week from kindergarten to the Garden.
Francis
Exactly.
Ron
The story of Jack's friendship. Yeah.
Francis
We had to go. We had to go and write. We had to draw a picture of what we did over the weekend. And he drew. He said, I went surfing in Hawaii and drew that. And then I did this. I said the same thing. I said, I went surfing in Hawaii and I got in like a ton of trouble. They were like, no, you didn't. And I was like, yeah, I don't think he did either. We're both like four.
Harry
Similar story. Like, we. One summer I met Harrison Ford. You know that story?
Francis
Yeah, yeah, of course.
Harry
And then I was like, the next year, I was like, well. Well, it's now thought that I will meet celebrities every summer.
Francis
Oh, yeah.
Ron
And you probably just wanted that pop that you got from the hair.
Harry
Yeah, I wanted chasing the high. I wanted that. So I was like, all right, who's relevant? And I came back that next year and they did the thing. They were like, who. You know, how was your summer name? Something that happened. And I said that I met Shania Twain and Joey from Friends. Those were the two celebrities I met that summer.
Francis
Such a random.
Harry
And nobody questioned me either, because they're like, well, he meets.
Ron
Yeah, they were like, that don't impress me.
Harry
Yeah, he had the Harrison Ford, so he's got credibility. Yeah.
Ron
Shania Twain was. She did have a chokehold in 98. She had a chokehold.
Harry
She was on the culture, top of the game.
Ron
She was so hot too. She did that battle rap show. And I did meet her.
Harry
Whoa.
Ron
And. But she has crippling social anxiety. So even if you had met her, I feel like she. She maybe wouldn't have been that interesting because she. Yeah, she's so damn nervous. Poor.
Francis
When we were in, like, I remember being young, like, the big thing was people would lie about, like, I remember we had, like, some girl said that her dad was the pitcher from the Red Sox. The Japanese. What was it? Daisuke.
Ron
Yeah. She said her dad.
Francis
Everyone. Everyone believes.
Ron
Was she Japanese?
Francis
No. Not at all. No. And we all were like, that's crazy. Really.
Harry
I can see it.
Ron
Whoa. Daisuke. I remember when Dice KK on the scene, they're like, he has a pitch, no one else.
Francis
Yeah. Yeah. Daisuke was a beast.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
He was awesome.
Ron
Well, so how did. Did you guys have to call her out or like, how'd you find out that she wasn't.
Francis
I think I asked my dad, like, now, dude, my dad would also like. My dad one time told me when I was in second grade, he told me that he was like, you know, Friday the 13th is a true story. And I was like, really? And he's like, yeah, it happened like, a couple miles away from us. And I went to school and I told everybody and they were all like, no, it's not. And I got home and my dad was like, oh, yeah, I was kidding. And I was like, well, I'm not. I don't interpret jokes. I'm not at that age yet.
Ron
I can't tell what's real and false just based off you saying that is. And I like, question, like, how do you not raise liars? Because now I'm raising kids and I'm like, I don't want them to feel like they have to, like, lie about. Like, they don't have to lie to kick it, Chunk. And we look that up on AI. How do you not raise liars? How do you raise your kids not to lie?
Harry
Well, I have a thought. What do you think before AI tells us?
Ron
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Francis
I doesn't have an answer for this
Harry
because I remember very well being at Willie Hart's house. And we were playing and it was snowy, and it was me, Willie Hart and Spencer Libby. And we. They had this, like. Beneath their porch was a. I guess it's called a lattice. You know, like that cross thatchwork wood thing.
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
That, like, went from the porch all the way down.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
And then there was sort of a crawl space through that, but behind the lattice, it was covered by a lattice. Yeah, exactly. It's a lattice. Yeah.
Francis
So there was a lattice within.
Harry
On the right. That's exactly what it was, A lattice cap. And we were jumping off the porch into the snow below. And I think one of us, and it was probably me, fell backwards and put a hole in the lattice. Broken it, cracked it.
Francis
Jesus.
Harry
And I remember we were all like. I remember being like, okay, obviously we're gonna not say anything about that.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
And then I remember Spencer and Willie being like, no, the best thing to do is to tell the truth. And I was like, what the fuck? What are you talking about? Where did that come from? Since when? And this was. That would have been. I would have been in. In second grade.
Francis
Yeah. Yeah.
Harry
And they were third. They were in third. And somehow they had already learned, like, the value of telling the truth.
Francis
I think second grade is truly peak lying ages.
Ron
Yeah. You're lying about everything.
Francis
Second Grade you're not telling. You're telling lies more than the truth, dude.
Harry
The next year, Willie Hart's mom passed away. And I remember being in homeroom the morning after, and I didn't know. Nobody knew, but Spencer, who was better friends with Willie than I was. That morning, he was in homeroom going, poor, poor Willie. Poor Willie. And I didn't know why, but I then was like, I want people to think that I know what's wrong with Willie. So I was also going, poor, poor Willie. And then our homeroom teacher, Cindy Sanborn, who had the best handwriting, turned to me, and she goes, that's not helping.
Francis
Damn.
Harry
And then she had to announce what had happened. And I was like, oh, that's what was wrong.
Ron
I thought he was broke.
Harry
I didn't know it was that bad.
Francis
Yeah, that's pretty brutal.
Harry
These are, like, core memories that are just flooding out of my brain right now. I'm telling the total truth. These are real names.
Ron
Well, yeah. You don't lie anymore. You're done lying. Why would you. Why would you fabricate that after you broke the lattice?
Francis
That was your last lie.
Harry
Broke the lattice?
Francis
Did you end up getting busted for the lattice? Yeah.
Harry
Well, I think they went up and they told Willy's parents about a dollar to replace. Yeah, I mean, I don't.
Francis
It's not that big of a deal.
Harry
I don't recall if there was, like, a thank you, boys for telling the truth. I'm sure that was hard. I don't remember if there was that or what. But I remember being mortified as we were, like, walking up and probably trying to talk them out of coming clean.
Ron
So what is the solution? Like, if you're the parent making. Is it. Is it like, making sure that you don't get too mad when your lattice gets broken so your kids feel comfortable enough to tell you? Or is it modeling the behavior of taking accountability to other people so your kids see that as an example of being like, yeah, I did this. And then, like, somebody else doesn't get mad at you because you're probably afraid that you were going to get in trouble. Right?
Harry
Sure, sure. But how are you going to model that as an adult? Because your adult accountability examples might go over the heads of your second grader.
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
Son, I just want you to know I've been evading taxes this year. I've been incorrectly filing my expenses, and I've realized that that's wrong and I need to come clean.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
I've been speeding in the areas where there are no speeding cameras on purpose.
Francis
Is there anything you would like to get off your chest? Perhaps about the last lattice?
Ron
Now that I've modeled this for you. There's a human sized hole in the lattice.
Harry
I think. I think it's what you said, Rowan. I think it's that you need to. They need to get. They need to tell the truth once and have you not get mad.
Ron
Yeah. Which is like.
Harry
And have you truly hold your temper and be like, I. I promised you that I would be grateful for your honesty. And I. I am. And thank you for telling the truth. We'll figure this out together. Together.
Ron
Yeah. It's like, oh, I don't. Yeah. I don't care about the lattice. Even though that lattice is. Held the house together.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Their dad probably loved that lattice, but it was probably discontinued. It was probably like a Plexiglas, like.
Francis
Or like my father built that lattice.
Ron
Yeah. You destroyed from scratch. Yeah. Those native American lattice basket woven lattice templates. Yeah. Yeah. You don't want your. So what does it. What does AI say? Focus on making honest. He feel safe rather than fearful. Yeah.
Harry
There you go. That's what I said.
Ron
That's what Francis.
Francis
Interesting. Interesting.
Ron
That's exactly what Francis said.
Harry
React calmly to mistakes so they aren't afraid of consequences.
Ron
Yeah. Not going to do that. How the is my Vlad is broken. Get in here.
Francis
Who did this?
Ron
You have 10 seconds to tell me or you're both going down. Who's your little second grade friend? Was probably him.
Harry
Gigantic redheaded.
Ron
Call your dad. Get your dad over here now. Tell him to bring some tools. Tell him to stop at Home Depot on the way. We're rebuilding the lattice. Oh, man.
Francis
Getting in trouble at a friend's house was just never got old. That wasn't even. That was still sucked even when you were in like high school, Dude.
Harry
I remember it was always. It was always because I would like somehow accidentally hurt their younger sibling. That was always. What happen happened. Their younger sibling would want to play with us and we'd be playing on like some mini basketball hoop and I'd like back them down into the paint.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
And turn around and dunk my nuts all over him. And all of a sudden he's screaming, Gabe Borenstein has fallen into the window and has got, you know, glass everywhere or something. He's crying, bro.
Ron
He was destined to do that when he was named Gabe Bornstein.
Harry
That's my buddies. I'm still friends with his older brother. Brother Ben. Gabe's cool. Gabe's a photographer now, I think. Videographer.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
I can't say I'm surprised.
Harry
Grew into a man.
Ron
Yeah. Because of you. You forced him in the fires.
Harry
That's right.
Ron
The paint.
Harry
I forced him?
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Yeah.
Francis
You backed him into being a photographer.
Harry
Made him grow up real quick.
Ron
I don't know what the rules are with yelling at other people's kids.
Francis
Like, oh, I think it's. You give it to them just, like, 1.5 times as hard as you would your. Your own kid.
Ron
And where. What. What circumstance can you do that? Like, are you saying if they're under
Francis
your rule roof, they're under your roof? That's your child.
Ron
And. But what about in. What about in public?
Francis
In public, I'm pulling over to yell at other people's kids.
Ron
Like a kid. I took my kids to the playground. In the hood. In the hood. This is important. And there's little kids running around. And, like, a kid almost smoked one of my kids with a water balloon. And. And my instinct was fixing to holler at another kid. One, he didn't hit him. And two, like, is that. That. That kid's not, like, here alone? You know what I mean? Like, do I have carte blanche to holler at this other kid if he.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Smokes my kid with a. Smokes My significantly younger kid with a water bottle.
Harry
It's a bit like being a wildlife biographer video.
Ron
Right.
Harry
Documentary Borenstein does for a living. Yeah. And not. And not interfering when, you know, you're filming this beautiful bird and a snake is coming up on it.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
Like, oh, that's nature. I have to let that be true. What's that called? There's a policy where they. They don't interfere.
Ron
The Que Sera Sera policy.
Francis
Yes.
Ron
Whatever will be, will be.
Francis
No, I don't know. I feel like I know what you're talking about, but I don't know.
Harry
There's a famous video on YouTube I saw where it's like, there's a flock of penguins, and they're trapped in this sort of gully on the ice, and they can't get out, and they're all gonna die. And then the filmographers make the decision to build them a ramp out so that they can walk out. But it violated their oath.
Ron
I used to get the time in life, like, pictures of the year book when I was a little kid.
Francis
Oh, yeah, of course.
Ron
Most famous pictures of, like, the century or whatever. And there was one picture that, like, stuck with me, especially the caption. And it was this guy, it was probably in, like, the Philippines or some, like, South Asian island nation. And this dude it was a photographer taking a picture of, I think, a Christian guy getting caned by a mob. And like, the. The bottom line of the caption was. And then the photographer stepped in and, like, made the mob stop. But it was like an ethics question of whether this guy, like, should or should. Should have, like, done something or if he should have just. Just. And it's like, ethics, like photography ethics. A human being is dying.
Harry
Yeah.
Francis
I feel like if it's a human, the ethics kind of go out the. Out the door.
Ron
Yeah. Who gives a. What the. Like, Like.
Francis
Like, what is he. Like, would that hold up in court? Like, if that guy died and he was just standing there, just like, taking.
Ron
He'd be like, it would have been unethical to save that guy's life.
Francis
I'm not going to say what is ethics ruin the photo.
Harry
It's only ethical if he yells world star.
Ron
Well, yeah, that's true ethics.
Harry
Imagine watching someone get caned in Jakarta and yelling, world Star.
Francis
That's probably still popping out there.
Ron
Yeah, they're just getting world star in Jakarta. Yeah.
Harry
Hey, Sean, could you just quickly look up what that policy of, like, wildlife non intervention videography is what that's called?
Francis
I mean, I get it.
Ron
Like, look at this text that I just got from Sparky. The. Sparky, the. The guy that works here in the elevator shaft.
Francis
What'd he say?
Ron
Read it out loud.
Harry
I can't. I can't.
Francis
You gotta unlock no intervention rule.
Harry
Okay, well, I guess so.
Francis
Like, you could have. You could have come up with that yourself.
Harry
Okay, Sparky just texted around, yo, Ron, I seen ebony titties.
Ron
God, that works. The second elevator shaft building. There's no text. There's one text. I texted him, I'm on a plane on February 6th, and he just texted me, yo, Ron, I seen Ebony titties. Why did he tell me that?
Francis
Cuz you guys are boys.
Ron
Yeah, why did he say that like that?
Harry
It's just.
Francis
He had to get it off his chest.
Harry
I've been with Ron on numerous occasions when Sparky has called him.
Francis
Oh, yeah?
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
And usually it's because Sparky's upset that Roan hasn't done something with him.
Ron
Yeah, he's on my ass.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
But he never texted me.
Francis
Ron owes him a verse.
Harry
Yeah, that's right. Well, no, Sparky owes Roan a verse. It's always Sparky, like, freestyling for Ron.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Yeah. Well, he never shares good news with me like that. That he's seen Ebony Titties.
Harry
That's pretty good.
Ron
I've seen Ebony titties. Yo, there's. I mean, as a guy who loves grammar,
Harry
somehow I know exactly what he means and when it happened.
Ron
Yo, Ron, wrong name. I seen. I don't think he means ebony. No possessive titties.
Harry
I don't. I don't think he means I have seen them before. I think he means I just saw.
Francis
Yeah, yeah, you just seen them.
Ron
This is in real time.
Harry
I done seen. Seen.
Francis
Yeah. No, this definitely just happened.
Ron
Yo, Ron. I seen ebony titties.
Francis
Yeah. 100 ebony titties.
Harry
Yeah, yeah.
Ron
I gotta text him back. Show me.
Harry
Oh, man.
Ron

Harry
All right, so what else is going on?
Ron
Let's talk about the dinner we went to a couple nights ago.
Harry
Yeah, let's talk about that dinner we went to a week ago that was really cool and very, very fun. Funny because, you know, the idea was, and I think we can share this, the idea was that we were going to go film something at this really cool restaurant and we'd set it up, but it was hard to get the reservation and all that. And then we get there and they take us to our table and on our way to the table, they were like, gents, no photography or videography of any kind.
Francis
Were you already filming when that happened? Happened?
Ron
I filmed him walk into the restaurant.
Harry
They must have seen that.
Francis
They must have. They probably get it all the time.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
I've seen videos from inside restaurants before though.
Harry
But not that one. Yeah, not that one. Right? You have seen from inside that one
Francis
should have brought the meta glasses.
Ron
Maybe that's what I saw it on. Because it was. It's that guy. Have you seen. Are you guys familiar with the taxi driver from New York? He. No, no. Fallon and Queen Latifah. No, the taxi driver in New York who goes to all, like, he'll go to like Teresi and like Le Bernard.
Harry
Yeah, I have seen that.
Francis
I don't think so.
Harry
I have seen that. And I saw, I saw the one where he went to the 86. But like, did he film inside the restaurant?
Ron
He sat at Hemingway's table.
Harry
He sat at our table.
Francis
You guys sat at Hemingway's table.
Harry
We sat at Hemingway's table. We had the best table. So long, tired restaurant.
Francis
Is that why it took you guys so long to get your spot, your reservation?
Harry
Maybe so.
Ron
Oh, maybe somebody was late at Hemingway's table.
Francis
Did you guys cause us cause of fuss? You were like, we want to sit at Hemingway's table.
Harry
We didn't know there was Hemingway's table until we Sat down and they told us it was Hemingway's table.
Ron
It surprised us. It's been.
Francis
Are you guys not educated on the restaurant you were going to?
Ron
I knew. I mean I've watched this, this taxi driver videos and he had. He's gone to Hemingway table.
Francis
So you knew about the Hemingway stuff,
Harry
but Francis, I didn't know about the Hemingway's table. And ironically while we were getting our pre dinner drink, we talked about Hemingway's bar at the Ritz in Paris where both of us have had cocktails.
Francis
Really?
Ron
Yes. It was a very Hemingway.
Francis
I'm gonna bet Hemingway hasn't been to either of those places.
Harry
No, Hemingway's definitely been to the Hemingway bar in Paris. He was there every night.
Francis
Hemingway's got a table at every bar in New York City. Just like in Chicago. Al Capone's got a bar, a seat in every. Capone used to sit here. You know that really Holy. Yeah. I went to a bar in Chicago when I went to school there and I sat at Al Capone's table and while I was there I was like, I bet Al Capone has never even heard of this place.
Ron
Yeah, he, he can't have been to the 86 because it's eight months old. And they explained, they explained it to us.
Harry
They said something about how like zoning restrictions and stuff and that in that it's a historically prot. Protected area or something like that, so you can't change certain aspects of buildings or build up. And that before it was the 86, it was the. Some other restaurant that he went to in the 1920s.
Francis
Interesting.
Ron
And it's Hemingway stable.
Francis
What if you like what, what like if say restaurants do make up stuff like that. I'm sure someone has at some point. What is like a. What would be the best one? Like you think Hemingway is the best one to be like, this is Hemingway.
Harry
No, they, I've heard it. They were like, by the way, Jeffrey Epstein used to say Hemingway broke lattice outside.
Francis
Yeah.
Harry
Many years ago.
Francis
Everybody got drunk and fell into the lattice.
Ron
You can excuse this restaurant for lying because they're not in third grade yet. Like it's like a perfect age.
Harry
Spot on.
Ron
As a eight month old.
Harry
Perfect.
Ron
There's a steakhouse in Milwaukee. It's like called five o' clock Steakhouse. Your dad probably goes there all the time.
Harry
Probably.
Ron
Yeah. And it's like this is Jeffrey Dmer's favorite steakhouse.
Francis
Really?
Ron
Like Jeffrey Dahmer used to come here.
Francis
Damn, I would not want to go to a steakhouse that Jeffrey Dahmer loves.
Ron
Liked it. It is awesome.
Francis
It is, like, uniquely, notoriously, also enjoyed human flesh.
Harry
So what, you think he doesn't have good taste and meat?
Ron
He probably knows exactly what he wants.
Francis
I mean, he would.
Ron
He's like, could you cook this to 98 point?
Francis
Bring his own meat? Yeah, yeah. 96.
Ron
Could you cook this to the exact temperature of a just warm, resting human body?
Francis
It's just a raw, warm, warm.
Ron
Yeah, but it's a six steakhouse. But, yeah, there has to be. I went to a restaurant in Cuba where Barack Obama supposedly went to.
Francis
But that's like, I don't know. There's a lot of. In New York especially, there's a lot of restaurants that you go to where
Ron
Taylor Swift just went.
Francis
Yeah, Hemingway sat here with Taylor Swift
Ron
and Travis Kelsey Bourdain. A lot of. It's like, Bourdain ate at this especially, like, tiny, shitty restaurants. Restaurants. Bourdain came here doesn't do it for you. You're a Bourdain hater.
Francis
I'm not a Bourdain hater by any means. I'm just not necessarily a Bourdain truther.
Ron
Robert at Louise is a board. It was a Bourdain haunt out in Gay Perry.
Harry
That's where you told me to go, right?
Ron
Yeah.
Harry
I did not make it there, unfortunately.
Francis
Like, if you were going to a restaurant and there was one, there was a. Like. And you. You got there and they were like, this is this person's table. You guys could sit here. It's gonna be another, though. Like, who would that have to be for you to be like, all right, we'll take that seat.
Harry
That's a good question. First of all, nobody. I don't care enough about sort of sharing a seat.
Ron
But what if it was like, Martin Luther King. Yeah, if it was Martin Luther King's table. No.
Francis
Nah. What if it was like, Socrates used to sit here and write, well, what's the point?
Harry
I mean, the reason I'm at the restaurant is to eat. So unless the view were noticeably better or something like that, it's the nicest
Francis
table at the restaurant.
Harry
Okay, then I want it for that reason, not because LeBron once sat there.
Francis
Hitler sat at this table.
Harry
Now we're talking.
Francis
Now we're talking. I mean, that's a. That's actually a real one. Hitler sat here.
Ron
They're definitely. That definitely exists.
Francis
Yeah. And then you're going, well, I. Obviously, I don't like Hitler, but it's kind of interesting restaurants where Hitler ate.
Ron
Restaurant tablers tables. Hitler Sat at Hitler's favorite restaurant was Austria. Bavaria, renamed Austria Italiano. Wow.
Francis
So you go there, you go to Munich and you go to Austerity. Austeria. Austeria Italiana.
Ron
I mean, that's crazy. That's a crazy switch up. They went from Bavarian food to fucking Italian food food.
Francis
Cuz Hitler hated Italian food.
Ron
That's nuts.
Francis
It made him bloated.
Ron
Well, he probably liked it so much more when it was local German food, when it was nice Bavarian food. He's probably disgusted by the.
Francis
But I guess you definitely don't want to wait an hour to sit at Hitler's table. That's kind of a bad look.
Harry
Yeah, we've got plenty of open seats. I wanted that one. A hero of mine, as the story goes, was frequenter.
Ron
There's no extra fee. Wow. There's no wait to sit at tables at table number eight in the Bismarck Room at Austeria Italia.
Francis
Like they gotta let you know at least like. Well, that's another thing. What if you're sitting there and then people are walking by and they're going, wow, you guys sat at Hitler's table.
Ron
It's like. Or what if. Yeah, what if you're a Jew and you get seated at Hitler's table and you're just there. It's like when a Muslim guy accidentally eats some pork.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
What the. You should have told me before I had my gelta fish and matzah.
Harry
I think if I were Jewish, I would want to sit at that. In that seat, get another perspective. Piss him off and re. Re regain it.
Francis
Oh, I see, I see.
Harry
Yeah. Just kind of taking it back.
Francis
Yeah. Sitting it.
Harry
Redefine it. You know, maybe say like you. You lost Adolf.
Francis
Yeah, I. I think that's a good one.
Ron
Go through every. Everywhere that he ever. Ever. Every bunker he ever killed himself in and dancing it.
Harry
Yeah.
Francis
So I. I would say I probably don't have one. Francis, yours is. You said Hitler was yours. That's what you would wait for.
Ron
You said Socrates And I said LeBron.
Francis
You said LeBron.
Ron
Yeah. Anywhere LeBron sat at.
Francis
I mean, that can't be that hard to find.
Ron
He's probably going to like RPM Steakhouse. Yeah, he's at Steak 48.
Francis
I'm sure you've been to a restaurant that LeBron has been to. To.
Ron
Really?
Harry
Yeah. I bet you think he's probably been to Fort Charles and like those types
Ron
of things he can fold into a booth at. For Charles Carbone. Carbone. There you go, Carbone. Dirty French and Sedells. Wow. Shout out to Mario Carbone. My absolute brother.
Francis
Love that.
Ron
Buckets and Akron. Yeah, I used to go to Buckets and Akron all the time. Time with LeBron House 3:30 at Buckets
Francis
in Akan House, 3:30.
Ron
I can't even imagine LeBron eating, like, a meal. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I, I, I can.
Harry
He's a big wine guy.
Francis
Yeah. He sits on his, he sits on the, in the driveway with his, with his, his portable table.
Harry
Did you ever, you ever seen that
Francis
photo of him eating? He's, like, had. Eating dinner outside tonight, and it's just him in the driveway with, like, a plastic table.
Ron
He's so over hated all the videos of him that came out last week where he's, like, kneeling on a medicine ball doing curls.
Francis
Oh, yeah.
Ron
Everybody's like, lebron, I could do that. Like, you're performative and washed.
Francis
Well, you like him because you think you guys are getting him.
Ron
No, I don't think we're getting him.
Francis
No chance.
Harry
Do you think he's going to Golden State or.
Ron
He's going back to the Cavs.
Francis
He's going back to Boston.
Ron
Shut up, bro.
Harry
You think he's going to Boston?
Ron
Austin, you're high and dumb, bro.
Francis
Play with Tatum.
Ron
You're high as.
Francis
No, first of all, no, I'm not. And I'm smart.
Ron
Did you grab some of those seltzers for the.
Francis
No, I didn't.
Harry
Harry's taking a pound of weed out to Wyoming.
Francis
No, you can buy a pound of weed just online. Like, isn't that insane? Insane. Like, there's people that are, like, in prison for their life for. For weed, and you can just go on, like, UberEats on your phone and just like, yeah, I want a pound.
Ron
Do they. What websites? Where can you buy a pound of weed?
Francis
Any of, like, the. Online. Like, if you look up any of the dispensaries, they all sell this. Like, it's like $375 for, like seven. Or maybe it's not a pound. I don't know what a pound is. I think it's 70 grams.
Ron
That's more than a pound.
Francis
That's more.
Ron
No, no, no, it's not. An ounce is 20, 28. So it's more than an ounce.
Francis
And an ounce is three. It's four ounces, I think, is a pound.
Ron
No, that is not true. Four ounces is a pound.
Harry
No, 16 ounces standard.
Francis
Sixteen ounces is a pound.
Harry
Yeah, I'm pretty sure.
Francis
Why would you say it was 4 you4 ounces?
Ron
A pound isn't even like weed math. Like, that's like, like 85 ounces in a pound, please.
Francis
So, okay, I was wrong.
Harry
That's what I just.
Ron
16 every. Yeah, Sean knows it's obviously 16.
Francis
Why are we even googling it?
Ron
Let's see what AI says about this. How many ounces are in a pound via AI?
Francis
There's. So you can buy 75 grams of weed online and have someone door dash it to your apartment.
Ron
That's crazy.
Francis
And then go. Okay, thanks.
Ron
That's.
Francis
I mean, my ID. No, no. Okay, thank you. And now you have 75 grams of weed at home.
Harry
How many. How many grams do you have?
Francis
None.
Ron
No one's.
Francis
I'm only on oil these days.
Harry
We're still playing this game. Playing that game.
Francis
Just wax and oil for me.
Harry
Why are you.
Francis
I'm just gonna bring it out there. I'm just bringing my Puffco out there.
Harry
Isn't that a mistake? Isn't that a state where they would get on you?
Francis
You would go to prison for life in Montana.
Ron
Montana's the same as. They'll cane you.
Francis
I'm gonna. I'm gonna be making. Doing the podcast via phone like Bobby Shmurda.
Harry
So you're the week. You gotta bring the weed and you gotta get the hotels for the group.
Francis
None of my friends, they don't smoke weed.
Ron
So the ounce is for you.
Francis
I'm not bringing an ounce of wheat.
Ron
Oh, a pound. I'm sorry, A pound. Four ounces.
Francis
Four ounces.
Ron
Are you bringing those drinks though?
Francis
No.
Harry
Not one of your friends smokes weed.
Francis
Nate does.
Harry
Nate.
Francis
But he's not going.
Harry
Damn.
Ron
And what about your boy from kindergarten? Jack?
Francis
Jack.
Harry
Jack Herrera.
Francis
I don't think he smokes anymore.
Ron
Jack from the Garden.
Francis
Because we were gonna. When we. Before we went and Francis went and bought that pre roll before we went to the Shane show and Jack was like, I'm. I'm good. I don't want to have a panic attack in. In the Garden. Garden.
Ron
Oh, I forgot. We puffed.
Harry
Yeah, we did.
Ron
Are you surprised that we didn't puff before dinner last night?
Harry
No, I thought we would need to keep our wits about us because we were gonna film.
Ron
Oh, yeah, yeah. You just look fried.
Harry
Yeah, exactly.
Ron
Before that Chicago dinner. I don't remember that nice ass dinner we went to in Chicago.
Francis
Oh yeah, yeah, we did do that. Yeah, you brought your puffco. We did some dabs before. Yeah, I think. I don't know why. Do you see those videos that people of them like hitting their like little Puffco Thing, Their rig. It's like the little tiny, like, volcano thing. And it's like they, like, put the wax into it, and they're like, little morning. Little morning ritual before the hike. And it's like, bro, you may as well have just, like. That's like. You may as well have just shot up heroin before going on that.
Ron
I have one of those. One of my friends who, like, swears by one of those who travels with it.
Francis
Yeah.
Ron
Like, we went hiking, and they bring
Francis
it on the hike in Muir Woods.
Harry
Yeah.
Ron
In, like, among the redwoods in California. California. And he was just pulling out on, like, a bluff, like, pulled out the Puffco.
Francis
Did you use it?
Ron
I mean, so I. He got it for me. He was like, you need one of these? And I, like. I think I did it. You. You did it?
Harry
You gave it to me to try and not on the way.
Ron
I was on the weed. Yeah.
Francis
And how was it?
Harry
It didn't nuke me or anything, like. No, no.
Francis
I always assumed that it was like.
Harry
I think that's a misconception. I think if you do the thing where it's. It's. If you do the thing where they. They really use the nail and, like, the. Yeah, that maybe. But on this, it wasn't.
Francis
Not that intense.
Harry
Wasn't crazy.
Francis
I was always under the assumption that that is, like. Like, I've never done any of that stuff, so I was always under the assumption that that was, like, your brain up.
Harry
Yeah. I still can't believe that the bottom of your ass cheeks chaps while you
Francis
walk chafes after miles on. Miles on miles. And also, it has to be hot as.
Harry
Okay, well, that is from the underwear, though, now that we think about it.
Ron
Probably you just have to just, like, wear. Wear boxer briefs for a little bit and, like, it'll go. Like, the discomfort will go away, and you'll be used to it.
Francis
Yeah, but I'm not. I'd rather just be comfortable now.
Ron
Yeah, but, like, getting through that, like, you're not comfortable if your ass cheeks are chafing every time you walk.
Francis
I mean, the last time this happened was, like, six years ago ago.
Ron
This is like wearing a bib, though. This is like wearing Velcro shoes.
Francis
Nothing wrong with that.
Ron
This is childish behavior.
Francis
I would still wear Velcro shoes if they found the right pair. You don't go bowling. You don't ball.
Ron
It's like a wedding ring. You just get. You get used to wearing it.
Francis
A traditional setup. Oh, it. A Puffco or electric smart rig and a traditional glass Dab rig comes down to convenience versus raw performance.
Ron
What do they mean by raw?
Harry
A traditional setup offers massive hard hitting clouds and intense effects, while puffco provides unmatched flavor, precision, temperature control and portability. I think the Puffco thing is much more mellow.
Francis
Got it, got it.
Harry
But if you want massive vapor clouds, you want a rig.
Ron
I must still have that thing at home. I wonder if I should dust it off.
Harry
That thing was cool. I would like to. I'd like another run.
Francis
I can't believe Francis is a puffco guy after all that.
Harry
Like another mar.
Francis
Back pocket. Oh, yeah. I keep it on me all the time.
Ron
Having it in your pocket. Like the fact that this guy pulled it out that deep into a hike. It's like, where was it the whole hike? Where did you have it on you?
Francis
But that's how they use them. Like, all the videos I see are people, like out on a hike and they're like, hitting it or like going on a jog.
Ron
Yeah. I saw a bro using an old fashioned batty. Do you remember what a baddie is? It's like a wooden thing where. And you have something that looks like a cigarette and you kind of jam it down into. Oh, yeah, around like. Oh, yeah. One hitter. Yeah, a dude hitting one of those on the side of the road. It was a. I think it's like a batty. You typed in batty, weed, pen and something. Yeah, it's like a pink thing that says. It's not even a weed. It's not like a pen. It's like a batty. One hitter.
Harry
Come on, Sean, figure it out.
Ron
It's that thing on the right. The.
Francis
The cigarette.
Ron
Yeah, that thing. Yeah.
Harry
Dude, I had one of these for a little while and all I did was ma. All the weed in the dugout thing down into the bottom to the point where you couldn't get any.
Ron
Yeah, yeah.
Francis
That's just the bottom now.
Harry
It just became a flat layer. I tamped it so hard.
Ron
Yeah, these suck. These are. These are terrible. I mean, they were probably incredible in the 70s, but I don't even think you can get high from them.
Francis
Great invention for like. Yeah, the times.
Ron
For the times.
Harry
Harry, you gotta go.
Francis
What time is it?
Harry
Noon.
Francis
Oh, yeah, I do gotta go.
Harry
Okay.
Francis
All right, thank you guys for listening. Goodbye.

Episode: Broken Lattice (#418)
Date: July 14, 2026
Participants: Lil Sasquatch, Rone (Host/Producer), Francis
This episode finds Sasquatch fresh from dropping out of college and reflecting on his direction in life. With lighthearted banter, the group—guided by Rone—dives into the minutiae of adulthood: purging old clothes, underwear and sock debates, memorable childhood lies, chafing horror stories, and how parents should teach honesty. The tone is classic SoaBD: irreverent, self-deprecating, and packed with comically honest life advice.

Classic Son of a Boy Dad: candid, absurd, and self-deprecating. The group is unafraid to dive deeply into mundane topics, spinning them into extended bits and relatable rants. The language is casual, as are the conversational digressions—anchored by a camaraderie that always just borders on roasting.
For listeners and newcomers alike, this episode is a comic meditation on becoming an adult—and the odd baggage, nostalgia, and fabrications we rarely stop to question.
