Hooray, it's back.
A (0:10)
It's quite the mouthful, isn't it?
B (0:12)
It is. We'll move on from it quickly, but it's exciting that the skill sprint is back.

So about 10,000 people have sprinted with us so far. So there are two to go back to if you want more sprinting after this. And what is so brilliant about these sprints is they are short, snappy, specific, and also it's an opportunity to learn together with a really curious community.

And we're conscious this might be the first time that you've learned with us. So we should talk about what is a squiggly career. We should talk about what a sprint is and also what support that we have created so that you can sprint with success. So let's start with the squiggly bit. What is a squiggly career? A squiggly career is a way in which we give people the freedom and the flexibility to develop in the direction that is right for them. We are trying to let go of the idea that careers should look like ladders, that up is the only way and that success is seniority for everybody. Think that that doesn't really reflect reality or your individuality. And there's a different way, a different and much more squiggly way we can help people to succeed at work.

So what is a sprint? It's five days of learning, ten minutes every day. So hopefully not too hard to add into your day to day. And on each day we're going to cover one of the five squiggly skills. So we'll do strengths, values, confidence, networking and possibilities. And the idea with this sprint is we're going to take those skills and we're going to figure out how AI can help you to accelerate both your self awareness, but also and as importantly, the actions that you're going to take.
B (1:40)
And as well as the episodes which you can watch on YouTube or you can listen to, wherever you listen to your podcasts, we wrap quite a lot of support around them. So there is the Ready Study Sprint guide, which is a really good document to get you started. There are also daily sprint summaries which have all the links that we'll talk about. You'll have prompts that you can cut and paste. We've got screenshots so you can see how to get started with some of the exercises. Make sure that you are signed up for the Sprint so you get all that information. We'll put the link in the show notes or if you can't find it, don't worry, just email us helenand sarahquigglycareers.com.
