Dorje Phagmo) is a wrathful aspect of the Tantric goddess Vajrayogini. Vajravarahi can be translated as “diamond sow.” She symbolizes the supreme power that removes all obstacles on the path to enlightenment, as well as the passion, compassion, and wisdom that overcomes ignorance and attachment to the illusory self. Vajravarahi has the typical characteristics of the wrathful deities. Her distinguishing feature is the head of a sow, which is usually depicted behind her right ear or above her head. This iconographic element makes some scholars believe that Vajravarahi originates from Hindu goddess Varahi. Wild sow plays an important role in Indian religions with its power, fearlessness, and invincibility. Tibetan sources interpret the sow’s head as a sign of victory over ignorance and delusion, as well as overcoming desires and attachments. The main iconographic form of Vajravarahi is red in color, with one face, three eyes and a wrathful expression. Usually she is depicted with two hands, in which she holds the same attributes as Vajrayogini: in the right – a curved knife (Tib. driguk), and in the left – a kapala (skull cup) filled with blood and a trident (Tib. tsesum). She is standing in a dancing manner with the left leg extended in a half in a vajrasana (diamond posture). Her feet stepped on a corpse, symbolizing the victory over the ego and the elimination of illusions. Flames of primordial wisdom are often depicted around her figure. There is also a white form of Vajravarahi, which has a peaceful expression. Her figure is in the same pose and with the same attributes as the red one. "Fierce Demon-Destroying - Chandika/The Violent & Impetuous One - Chandi"; (Sanskrit: “The Fierce”) demon-destroying form of the Hindu goddess Shakti, particularly popular in eastern India. She is known by various names, such as Mahamaya (“Great Magic”) or Abhaya (“She Who Is Without Fear”). Her representation is similar to that of Durga, another form of Shakti. She is shown with either 8 or 10 arms, seated on a lion vehicle. Hundreds of folktales and songs tell of her exploits. She is the central figure of an extensive medieval Bengali literature known as Chandi-mangal, the most famous of which is that of Mukundarama Chakravarti (c. 16th century). Sangwa Yeshe Khandroma) and is revered in the Nyingma school as one of Padmasambhava’s main teachers. Simhamukha is associated with exorcist rituals that prevent black magic and eliminate harmful effects. The ritual practice includes the use of a kapala and a metal mirror on which dharmodaya (“the source of reality”, symbolically depicted in the shape of a tetrahedron) is painted with red powder, in the center of which is written HUNG, the bija mantra of the wrathful goddesses. The mantra of Simhamukha, AH KA SA MA RA TSA SHA DA RA SA MA RA YA PHAT, is known as “the fierce mantra of fourteen letters that averts all magical attacks” (ngag drag log yige chuzhipa). The first level of existence which we know best is the physical or material world, or sometimes know as the real world. People who are very much stooped in this reality are known as naive realists. At this level, everything seems to be three dimensional with firm boundaries and we experience this world through our five senses – touch, taste, smell, hear and see. Time seems to flow in a linear form, with distinct past, present and future. This world is governed by laws of cause and effect, where laws of Newtonian physics can precisely predict the movement of an object. The second level of existence is known as the Quantum Domain, where everything consists of information and energy. Everything here is insubstantial, meaning it cannot be perceived through our five senses. It maybe disturbing to realise that what you call as your body is actually a cloud of energy in a void of emptiness winking in and out from this void over a trillion times per second. Your thoughts, mind, ego, desire, feeling etc exists here. The visible universe is a manifestation of the quantum domain. The third level of existence is the Virtual Domain or sometimes known as the non-local domain or the field of pure potential. This is where energy and information emerge from a sea of possibilities. Your Being lives there. The most fundamental level of nature is not material, in fact it’s not even energy and information, it is a field of possibilities. We call it non-local because it cannot be confined to any location, space or time. The intelligence in this domain is what binds the energy and information to knowable entities. It is the organizing force behind all things. When you read this, the photons fall onto your retina triggering a cascade of events leading to a thunderstorm of electrochemical activity in your brain. The Mind-Brain interaction mysteriously translates these letters and words to deduce their meaning. Take a step back and ask yourself, Who is it that is doing the reading? Kamala (“she of the lotus”), is the last in the list of the Ten Mahavidyas (great revelations or manifestations), who are a group of Tantric goddesses. Kamala’s place as the last of the Mahavidyas is not addressed in the literature. Although it may be taken as signifying a lesser importance than the others, Kamala is one of the most widely worshipped outside of her relationship with the Mahavidyas. She is portrayed as auspicious and beautiful, with a lovely golden complexion. She is seated in a lotus posture upon a lotus flower. She has four hands—two holding lotuses and two held in signs of granting blessings and giving assurance. Iconography of Kamala illustrates her being bathed in nectar by two (sometimes four) large elephants. Kamala is represented in a similar manner to the very popular goddess Sri-Lakshmi, as Kamala and Sri Lakshmi are considered to be the same goddess. For the uninitiated, like any deity, there are many fables and legends about her, but the most notable is the story of her rebirth and how the gods got their immortality, known as The Churning of the Milky Ocean. The story goes that the warrior god Indra was tasked with protecting the world from demons that had long sought to destroy it and with Lakshmi’s help he did so successfully for many years. One day, he was gifted a garland of sacred flowers by a wise sage, displeased by the gift Indra threw the flowers away in a show of arrogance. Lakshmi who had been observing this interaction was angered by his arrogance and rudeness and decided to leave the world of the god and enter into the Milky Ocean as punishment. From the very offset Jin pounds us to the depths of the Realms of Utter Fascination & IMO, this Episode in particular is my personal favourite so far. I mean they're all incredible & each being better than the last but for me PT7 is AbsoFuckingLute Mind-Blowing Mint🤯💣🔥🔥🔥... Kali, whose name literally means “The Dark One”, is the Goddess of death and destruction, time and change, as well as being known as a Mother Goddess. Her weapons are the scimitar, the sword and trishula which is a trident. She sprang into being from Durga’s forehead. Her consort is Shiva. She is often depicted with four arms, tongue stuck out, naked except for a necklace of heads/skulls and a girdle of hands or arms, standing or dancing on Shiva. Kali’s most famous feat was the slaughter of Raktabija, a demon. This demon was so powerful no other God or Goddess could destroy it. Every time Raktabija was wounded and a drop of his blood hit the Earth, one thousand more demons came into being. Kali was asked to stop him. To stop him Kali drank his blood before it could touch the Earth, thereby stopping more demons from being made. She devoured each demon before eating Raktabija in a single bite. In victory, Kali began to dance. She danced and danced and danced. She became frenzied and the Earth began to tremble in warning of oncoming destruction. The Gods begged Kali to stop but she would not in her crazed state. Finally her consort Shiva lay beneath her feet and she realized what she was doing. Finally she quit dancing. Devotees and worshippers of Kali, see her as a devout and protective Mother Goddess. They believe that not only can Kali eat demons, but she can eat Death as well. Animal sacrifices are still made to Kali. It is believed at one time human sacrifices were the norm. Kali, however, was picky about human sacrifices. A band of thieves once thought it a good idea to sacrifice a human to Kali and chose a good man, a Brahmin monk who lived a pure life. His light was so bright that when they killed him, his light burned the image if Kali before their eyes. Kali came to them enraged and decapitated the entire band of thieves and drank their blood. What is the moral of the story? Be careful who or what you sacrifice to which God or Goddess.
