Having refocused our eyes on the main theme of this book (The Kingdom of Christ is coming!), John now backs up to tell the story of what is happening on the earth even while the judgments of God are falling. Revelation 11-19 is the record of what happens on earth during the second half (3.5 years) of the Tribulation Period. Join us this Sunday as we look at the monumental collision between the Kingdom of Christ and the Kingdom of this world. The text of Revelation 11 is an incredibly encouraging picture of God’s ultimate victory. When these kingdoms collide, God wins! This Sunday's text gives us incredible hope in the coming Kingdom of Christ.
Having received multiple visions of the judgment that will precede Christ’s return (Rev. 6-9), John needed to have his attention refocused on the glory of Christ that had first been revealed to Him in Chapter 1 and then again in chapters 4-5. In Chapter 10, a messenger is sent to remind John of Christ’s glory and commission Him to keep recording the events that surround the coming of His kingdom. Join us this Sunday as we see the glory of God on display as heaven comes to earth. In Revelation 10, the process of judgment is paused as God reminds the reader of just how glorious His glory truly is. This vision of God’s glory is a truth that we must be reminded of so that we would live in light of it today. We must make way, for our king is on His way!
In Revelation 8-9, the judgment of God is being poured out as Christ prepares for His return. That judgment shows just how much God hates sin. To help us hate sin like God hates sin, Chapter 9 provides a picture of just how much Satan hates mankind. This Sunday, we’ll look at Revelation 9, a passage that reveals just how much Satan hates humanity. The portrait that is painted in this text will help us understand why we must not serve sin as our master, but rather cling to the majesty of Christ’s love and salvation. This text will help us learn to hate sin as God does. Join us this Sunday as we continue our study in the Book of Revelation.
In his final message before embarking on a new ministry opportunity as Youth Pastor at Patterson Park Church in Beaver Creek, OH, Pastor Drew Nilius reminds the people of New Community Church of the great and awesome love of God for His people. Listen in as Pastor Drew unpacks these critical verses from Paul's letter to the Romans, giving us the hope of a love that never lets go.
In Revelation 7, God paused the outpouring of His judgment to demonstrate his gracious mercy as He saved multitudes from amongst rebellious humanity. In Revelation 8, His judgment resumes, revealing the reality of His enduring and pervasive holiness. Join us this Sunday as we consider a picture of God’s perfect holiness and its implications for humanity. For those of us in Christ, the Holiness of God is a beloved and reassuring truth. For those who don’t know Christ, it’s a terrifying prospect to behold. Revelation 8 will give us unique views of God’s holiness from both above and below!
As the judgment of God falls upon earth (Revelation 6), the people of that day beg for deliverance. In response (Chapter 7), purely because He is good, rather than continuing to pour out more judgment, God pushes pause and returns His attention not only to the salvation of Israel but also to the nations, purely because He is good. Join us this Sunday as we catch a glimpse of heaven’s worship. The throngs of heaven see who God is in this text based on what He does, and they can’t contain themselves in response. This week, we’ll join our voices in the theme of heaven’s praise, proclaiming our God as worthy indeed of all praise for the things He has done.
As we return to Revelation 7, we find it providing a brief break between the 6th and 7th Seal Judgments (described in Revelation 6 and 8). The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate the mercy of God and prove that even amid the judgment described, he is still good just as He has always been. God proves that to us here in chapter 7 by returning His attention to the nation of Israel, despite their repeated rejection of Him. Join us this Sunday as we dig back into the text of Revelation 7. This chapter offers a brilliant ray of light as we see the marvelous mercy of God set against the dark backdrop of His judgment. This week, we’ll see the unique portrait of a God who just won’t quit from His efforts to save sinners.
The book of Revelation records the end of world history and provides a brief window into what the future holds. Chapters 4-19 record a period that is known in Scripture by several titles: The Day of The Lord, the Tribulation, or the 70th week of Daniel. All these descriptions point to the same 7-year period after the rapture of the church, during which Christ prepares for His return by judging sinful man and saving the nation of Israel by drawing them back to Himself. Join us this week as we go back to the future! Beginning this Sunday, we are returning to our study of Revelation and its account of what is still to come. Since it’s been two years since we were last in this book, this Sunday will give us a running start as we get caught up to where we left off. Don’t miss this critical overview of what God has planned for the future of humanity.

Dry, barren, discouraged. Vibrant, fruitful, joyful. If we are honest, our Christian lives are often characterized by the first set of words rather than the second. And yet, Jesus promised that His followers will do greater works that He did, and that His joy will be in them. How can this be? How can we experience the vibrant Christian life that was so characteristic of our Lord? The instruction Jesus gives is simple: abide in Me. Join us this Sunday as we discover what this command means and see the fruitful and joyful life that it brings to those who follow it!
