Long time no see, all you lambent dregs. Chase your plagued prey into the sneaky dragon and imbibe our latest brew Sick in the Mud. It's a mixture of altered Apple, octarine, orange water, wave of contamination, delirium dreg tea, pockmarked pepper and topped with ill expelled juices from the nearest sickly sufferer. One ingestion of this infected ichor and you'll be glowing glowing spawn. Previously, our adventurers came upon conversational Claudia while clambering through Chimera keeps. They undercut some undarians, got the goss from Goliath Goldchasers and uncovered croakfolk clues connected to Bunlap's business. Now nutty has necromance, the non living for nuggets of wisdom. Grab a guzzler and let's get back to this gassy goss.
Chris Damaris
Hello everyone.
Gustavo Sorola
Welcome to Tales of the Stinky Dragon. I'm your Dungeon Master Gustavo Sorola. I'm hit our four players with an arrow.
Blaine Gibson
Do it, coward. Do it. Take the shot.
John Risinger
I'm starting to enjoy the arrow actually.
Chris Damaris
Yeah. Ooh, it's a little wake up acupuncture.
Natty Wonder
Could you direct all of your arrows at just toll?
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, make me. Wait. What's your armor class Toll? No, this episode's arrow question is, what would you wear to Natty's wedding? Oh, and that's from Smarsh equals king.
John Risinger
Marsh does equal king. Very good name.
Gustavo Sorola
That's some solid math there.
Goldenrod
Ooh.
Chris Damaris
4, 11, 10, 17.
Gustavo Sorola
So we're gonna go Doug with 17, Gunther with 11, Natty with 10, then Tove with 4.
Natty Wonder
Woo. Woo.
Gustavo Sorola
Doug, why don't you lead us off? What would you wear to Natty's wedding?
John Risinger
What would I wear to Natty's wedding? That's a great question. Barbara would wear white. No, I'm just kidding. Just to really take the spotlight. I'm Barbara Dunkelman and I play Doug Boone, the artificer Bugbe.
Barbara Dunkelman
And you know, in thinking about Natty's wedding, you know, Natty is marrying death, right? That's her wife. And so Doug was thinking about, well, when Doug meets death, what does Doug want to be wearing? So it's less about the wedding and more about, you know, the relationship and the people involved. And so Doug's gonna be brave and Doug's gonna go in his birthday suit.
Blaine Gibson
My God.
Chris Damaris
Wow.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, just full like natural bugbear. Because when Doug, you know, crosses over to, you know, the other side, death, whatever it may be, he doesn't want to be in his normal clothes. He wants to just be au natural.
Chris Damaris
Wow.
Blaine Gibson
Go out coming in the same way he came in.
Barbara Dunkelman
Exactly.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, that's. That's brave. I've never. I've never thought about either attending either a wedding or dying at the same time.
Chris Damaris
It would be quite a funeral.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, it would be.
Barbara Dunkelman
Although, if it's okay, I might just wear just a simple bow tie.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay.
Natty Wonder
Classic.
Barbara Dunkelman
And nothing else.
Gustavo Sorola
What color Doug?
Blaine Gibson
Doug is also the entertainment for the bachelor party.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, the bachelor party.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, I heard there was some betrothed ladies in here.
John Risinger
Of course, they're classic black bow tie guys.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Of course.
Chris Damaris
Is that again bot in your pocket.
John Risinger
Oh, I forgot about Gambot.
Gustavo Sorola
Well, Gambot's always in the nude.
John Risinger
Yeah, that's true, but I just don't
Gustavo Sorola
know where I would keep him in the bow tie. All right, Surprising answer to lead us off from Doug. Thank you, Doug. Up next, we got Gunther.
Chris Damaris
Yes, it is a very formal occasion. And so of course, I would wear my. Introduce yourself. I would start with the top. Oh, yeah. I'm Chris Damaris, stranger as I play crook folk fighter named Gunther. Yes. I would just start off with. I would, of course wear my. My. My hat.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, that.
Chris Damaris
That we all know and love.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, the bike.
Gustavo Sorola
Love that hat.
Chris Damaris
Yes, I would wear that.
Natty Wonder
The one that I can see your screen changing so you can look at it.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
We could see just a flash of
Natty Wonder
light as you were like, you had, like. I need to tell you this, Chris. I don't know if you realize this. Your eyes change focus and how they look when you are looking at your screens and not at us. So when you're doing that and not like just talking to us, that's even worse.
Chris Damaris
We hate that even more.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah. Because when Chris is looking at us,
John Risinger
his eyes light up. Of course.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah.
Blaine Gibson
There's a joy.
John Risinger
Love.
Gustavo Sorola
So your hat.
Chris Damaris
Yes, it's in my hat. And then, of course, Ponya. She is a very good at making clothing and she has made me a very formal suit. It looks very good. We do not wear ties.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, why not?
Chris Damaris
We just do not. This is not what we do. But we do wear. We do wear. They look like. Like a. A scarf, but that hangs down. It kind of symbolizes a tongue. They are red. Okay, so it is like a tie, but more like a scarf.
Blaine Gibson
Like Greninja.
Chris Damaris
Yes. And then. Yeah, and then I, of course, I, for formal occasions, do not wear shoes.
John Risinger
But for not formal occasions, you do wear shoes.
Chris Damaris
It depends on if I'm needing to walk on things that are hard.
Natty Wonder
You don't have shoes on right now.
Chris Damaris
That's what I'm saying.
Blaine Gibson
Arrows are very formal in his culture.
Chris Damaris
I say that as in, just so you know, I'm not going to wear shoes. I hope it's okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
It's okay. I'm not wearing anything, so.
Natty Wonder
Yeah.
John Risinger
Except shoes and a bow tie.
Chris Damaris
There's something really funny about, like, shoes with socks that go up high.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Chris Damaris
And then a bow tie and nothing.
John Risinger
And nothing else. Oh, I feel. I feel like I'm having flashbacks to the boots you wore, Chris, back when we were at Rooster Teeth. There were these white, like, knee high.
Chris Damaris
Yes.
John Risinger
Like water boot or like rain boots or something like that.
Chris Damaris
They were like fashionable women's boots.
Gustavo Sorola
Fashionable in post.
John Risinger
I wore them all the time.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, it's a. It's like that Reno 911 skit. The what? The new boot. Goofin.
Natty Wonder
Yeah. Scootin, scootin' Scootin.
Gustavo Sorola
That's it.
John Risinger
New boot, scootin.
Gustavo Sorola
New boot scootin. Okay, thanks, Gunther. Up next, I think was Natty.
Natty Wonder
It might have been goofin. Now I'm second guessing the joke.
Blaine Gibson
I thought it is goofin.
Natty Wonder
I think it is goofing. I think I've Berenstein bared myself. Hi, I'm John Risinger and I play Natty Wonder who is drow, warlock, drag queen and lady who we're all talking about. And the bride special day. Do, do, do, do.
Gustavo Sorola
That's the.
Natty Wonder
That's the wedding.
Blaine Gibson
Continue on. I'm sorry.
Natty Wonder
And I, I know there's like the traditional kind of understanding of what a wedding dress should be, but I think anybody who spent a lick of time with me knows that, you know, traditional went out the window years and years ago. And so I have already commissioned my wedding dress. Not complete yet. It's going to take a bit. And the wedding dress is top to bottom, from the veil to my shoes denim and the veil to the toenail veil to the toenail denim. And it's not just like plain old denim. It's all bedazzled and rhinestoned denim. So much so that in certain parts of it, as I move around, it's to. I'm sure it's going to blind some people, which I think is. Is fantastic.
Blaine Gibson
Question for Natty. How do you see through a denim veil?
Natty Wonder
You know, you know, when you have like old denim pants that like have like worn out areas,
Chris Damaris
what it is,
Barbara Dunkelman
I thought you were going to say like just like the fibers or something like that.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah, yeah. A little bit like this, this fella I love Orville Peck. I'm gonna have a little something like that little dangly.
Barbara Dunkelman
Is it like washing denim or kind of like mixed washes?
Natty Wonder
I think it's going to come out to be a little bit mixed washes. So there's some little break in the tonal value across it, you know. And also Barbara is inspired all the rhinestones and everything like that. So it's. I think it's going to be quite the statement.
John Risinger
Yeah. Hey, if Kristen's still looking for a wedding dress, I think we just found.
Blaine Gibson
I'm writing ideas. Yeah, Yeah.
Natty Wonder
A wedding in the summer of Austin wearing all denim.
Chris Damaris
Yes.
John Risinger
She won't die anytime in Austin. Right. Really?
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, the, the. That's. I've never seen that before, Natty. And now I kind of want to see it. All right, thanks for that. Every. Everyone so far, really interesting choices to. If you're up next, I'm Curious to see how you're going to put a cap on this.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah. Hey, it's me, Blaine Gibson. And. Hold on, let me look something up. Just the brightest splash on your face. This is an audio only thing.
Natty Wonder
What did you do to make that happen?
Blaine Gibson
I turned on my. My lights. My elato. Oh.
Natty Wonder
Oh, you have like performance lights.
John Risinger
Okay. Yeah.
Natty Wonder
Cause I was like, you reached for something. There was a light ready to blind you.
John Risinger
I'm also gonna look for something. Hold on.
Blaine Gibson
That's a goof just for you guys. That's a goof just for you guys. Hello, I'm Blaine Gibson. I play Tolv, the male thaumatech barbarian. Yoo hoo. Oh, a wedding. How exciting. Oh, I don't know where to start. I definitely want to wear a cummerbund and a suit. But I think it's important, you know, I need to show up in a way that people will recognize me. And I don't want to be too shiny. So I have to hide away my thaumatex skin, even though I will have it polished for the big day. But I'm also going to make sure that I dry clean my Bjorn skin. I don't know what the results of dry cleaning formerly living flesh would be. Maybe it'll give it a nice leather polish or it will make it fall apart and I look like a zombie sitting in the crowd next to Captain Grumbles. Who knows? But very exciting. Hopefully I am a like some sort of like flower girl. Boy, I don't know. Whatever you need. Wedding, flower robot, Flower robot, dj. It could be a photo booth if you want.
John Risinger
Whatever you're all the tech needs of the wedding.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
Before you started talking about the whole skin addition, the immediate image I had in my head was Bicentennial man at the wedding in that movie where he was wearing a full suit over his robot body.
Blaine Gibson
Yes, that's the Robin Williams one, right?
Natty Wonder
Yeah.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Okay, okay, I watched that. Is it worth a watch?
John Risinger
I think so.
Natty Wonder
It depends on who you're talking to. And if you're talking to Barbara or me, it's a resounding yes. All right. And Mike, Micah's in chat. Yes. Okay, okay. But other people might disagree, but I think they need more whimsy in their life.
John Risinger
Yeah, I agree.
Blaine Gibson
And that's why they're here listening to tales from the stinky dragons.
Natty Wonder
That's true.
Gustavo Sorola
A whimsical tale, Natty. Your eyes cloud with an otherworldly darkness. What little light was in the cavern is immediately extinguished as you conjure necromantic. Energies from the realm of the dead. The veins in your gesticulating fingers pulse with an unnatural purple glow. The corpse's fingers mimic your own, cracking and crinkling to life like desiccated worms writhing in the dirt. The cadaver suddenly slams its fists to the ground, releasing a cloud of steam all around as it hobbles to its moving feet. Its horned head wafts through the mists and stares with narrowed, unblinking eyes locked on Gunther.
Chris Damaris
Ah, you cannot kill Kleina so easily, Croakfolk.
Blaine Gibson
I will have my revenge.
Gustavo Sorola
Without warning, the undead Undarian charges horns first, straight for Gunther. Kleina turns the corner and sees a Croak Folk field dressing a recently slain Guildelix, assumedly for food. Notorious lowers his head of horns and attempts to gore the amphibian, but at the last second the fair faced frog leaps high into a backflip behind Kleina. The Undarian's momentum sends his horns forward, piercing the Spiral Vader with a loud clang and the Croak Folk unleashes his tongue, grapples the lever in the lift and the whole contraption lowers rapidly, pinning Fina and his horns to the ground.
Chris Damaris
Wham.
Gustavo Sorola
The Croakfolk arms himself with a beak tipped lance and asks, where has the
Blaine Gibson
Chimera run off to?
Chris Damaris
I don't answer to you, Mort face.
Blaine Gibson
Then why are you bowing before me?
Gustavo Sorola
Undarian Klinus swings his Cadillac at the frog's legs, but the croakfrook carries it with panache. The Cadillacs flies into a nearby wall.
Blaine Gibson
You fight with cowardice, Undarian.
Chris Damaris
Come face me another day when you have found your honor.
Gustavo Sorola
The Crook folk turns to leave the cavern and Klein thieves the Spiral Vader off his head and charges the frog in rage. Blood spills on the ground. Kleiner looks down at their gut, impaled by the frog's lance. The beak tip breaks off as Notorious tumbles to the stained floor. Blackness closes in and consumes Kleiner's vision.
Chris Damaris
I should be taking notes.
Blaine Gibson
So it was stealth defense on the Croak folks behalf.
John Risinger
You know, have we learned what a Guildelix is?
Gustavo Sorola
You probably don't know what it is it's got. It's a creature with like a wolverine body and a mane of pine green hair with a long tongue. A voice echoes deep within Kleina's soul. I would welcome you to the Coil,
Barbara Dunkelman
but it seems you are needed elsewhere. Say hi to my wife.
Gustavo Sorola
And with a crack, Kleina's eyes snap back open. His gaze burns with blood boiling fury as he Sees the croaked folk standing before him.
Chris Damaris
You cannot kill Kleiner so easily, croakfolk.
Gustavo Sorola
I will have my revenge.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
What?
John Risinger
So he was dead and we reanimated him. So he, or I guess, came back to life.
Chris Damaris
Oh, hello. My name is Gunther.
Gustavo Sorola
He charges horns forward, ready to pierce the frog. Straight at you, Gunther. Hitting Ack.
Chris Damaris
No, my ac right now is eight.
Blaine Gibson
Well, bad news, Gunther, because I just saw that roll.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, what is it? It didn't pop up on my screen.
Chris Damaris
It's a nat 20.
Natty Wonder
It's a nat 20. Is it?
Chris Damaris
Do your work.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. The attack hits you, charges right through you, doing 16 points of bludgeoning damage, and it knocks you back into the wall behind you. Gunther. Such strong force, you take an additional eight points of bludgeoning damage from colliding with the wall. Notorious looks around with fury and anger in its eyes.
Natty Wonder
Hi, I'm Natty, and I need you to stop doing that, okay?
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, right. You can command it, right?
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah. That's my buddy. That's my buddy. My new buddy fighting my old buddy. And I need my buddies to be buddies.
Blaine Gibson
Okay, I thought you were telling Gunther to stop bleeding to death and moaning over. Yeah, like, stop her.
Chris Damaris
Stop.
Blaine Gibson
I'm trying to keep it together. Gunther. You're okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
I like to think Natty was maybe doing a two for one when she said that.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay, so I guess it's compelled. It's compelled to listen to you.
Natty Wonder
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just like anybody who has a taste of Natty's charisma. What's. I don't know what to call you. Do you have a real name?
Chris Damaris
Kleiner.
Natty Wonder
Kleiner. Kleiner. Okay. Well, Kleiner, what you doing here? Why are you here?
Chris Damaris
Searching for the Wilder Shield.
Natty Wonder
Okay, yeah, that makes sense. So your party, or whatever, like, group, you're part of your troop. They hadn't located it quite yet, but are on the hunt. Remind me why? Why do you guys want it? I know why this dude over here who's bleeding out wants it. But why do you guys want it?
Chris Damaris
The Ound army has been summoned here by Infernus because she desires the Wilder Shield.
Natty Wonder
Okay, okay. Yeah, she's quite a collector.
Chris Damaris
Where were you looking for it?
Gustavo Sorola
I like the pained delivery there. We have a map.
Blaine Gibson
If you want to point, we could tell us.
Chris Damaris
We are scouring the Keep. I was searching the lower levels of the mine.
Natty Wonder
Okay, okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Is it definitely in here? Is that what you were told?
Chris Damaris
Somewhere in the Keep.
Goldenrod
Oh.
Natty Wonder
All right. Well, how many of y' all are around here still. Because we have.
John Risinger
We?
Natty Wonder
What other Andarians. We had the three in that room.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. This is the same kind of creature as those three that were in that room.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, but it is.
John Risinger
This one was in that room, right?
Blaine Gibson
Yeah. Cause we got the one that was let go the previous episode.
John Risinger
The grunt.
Blaine Gibson
Razzleberry.
John Risinger
Razzleberry.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, I guess that's four.
Chris Damaris
This is a new one.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, this is a different one. This is not the same as that. We're up in there 79.
Natty Wonder
Good. That's a good crew.
Chris Damaris
Is that including you?
Barbara Dunkelman
Because now it'll make a big deal for you.
Blaine Gibson
Was this around AD. Was it around 80 before they, you know, you get killed?
Goldenrod
Math.
Blaine Gibson
Do math.
Natty Wonder
Ballpark figures are fine. Ballpark's figures are fine. When it's that. When it's numbers that high, we don't need.
Chris Damaris
We have enough to play ball.
Blaine Gibson
Wait, I'm dead?
Natty Wonder
It doesn't change much if you say it's 81. Like. Okay, that's a lot.
Chris Damaris
Wait, I was killed.
Blaine Gibson
No, no, no, no. You're fine. You're fine. I have a quick question. It's not for Kleiner. Cover ears. Cover ears. Natty, if you can bring back dead people, right, Kleiner. Captain Grumbles, Klein is over here. Yappity yapping. Why haven't we heard a peep from Captain Grumbles? All he goes is blunt. Captain Grumbles, can you talk? Are you choosing to do that? Can you. Have you actually been able to talk and understand this entire time?
Barbara Dunkelman
You know, I think I'm understanding him, actually. He just said. Oh, he just said, I am Groot.
Gustavo Sorola
In combat. When y' all were fighting Captain Grumbles, someone hit him in the neck and destroyed his voice box. His larynx.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Retcon.
John Risinger
But not his ability to swear.
Chris Damaris
It's intense. Yeah, I was coughing at blood. You say you faced someone who looks like me, but like more handsome? Where? Do you know where they left off to? Did you see where they went after? They definitely didn't kill you? Oh, yeah. He was way more handsome. You look like garbage.
Barbara Dunkelman
I know exactly what you're mean. What you mean and who you're talking about.
Chris Damaris
He was here. He was right there.
Gustavo Sorola
And he points to by the Spiral Vader.
Chris Damaris
Where did he go?
Gustavo Sorola
Up or down?
Blaine Gibson
You got a 5050 shot on this one, Kleiner.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, he don't know. He got. He got this curtain call before Bunlap made his exit.
John Risinger
Yeah, I think it happened right on this level that we're on right now.
Chris Damaris
Where did he go.
Gustavo Sorola
He's looking around now.
Natty Wonder
We don't know. Listen, listen, listen. I'm gonna be revenge. Nope. I'm gonna be.
Chris Damaris
Oh, please don't.
Barbara Dunkelman
Nope.
Natty Wonder
I'm gonna be straight up with you. Okay, we're kind of full up on party members for us, and I've got a reservation to take care of this guy over here. And I point to Captain Grumbles. But don't worry, you're gonna be in good hands, okay? You might have already met my wife. She's a lovely gal, takes care of her people, and so, you know, this is gonna be a short visit. I'm just giving you time to process that.
Goldenrod
Okay?
Gustavo Sorola
We haven't even had.
Chris Damaris
We only just met.
Blaine Gibson
But before you go there, Kleiner, do you. Are there any, like, cool, secret passcodes or anything where if we were to encounter your friends, you know, we. They'll know we're cool? Because, Kleiner, we're cool. You know? So, like, do you guys have, like
Barbara Dunkelman
a, you know, a thing, a secret handshake or, like.
Natty Wonder
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Password.
Gustavo Sorola
Roll me a check of some kind. Blaine. Roll me, roll me. We're gonna. See, we're gonna call this a luck check, which doesn't technically exist. So roll me a D20.
Blaine Gibson
A D20.
John Risinger
Well, do you want my. My inspiration?
Gustavo Sorola
What is it? It didn't show up on my screen.
Natty Wonder
I think this needs to be based. This needs to be based off of Blaine's luck. How did your luck turn out, Blaine?
Blaine Gibson
What an unlucky day. That's a one.
Chris Damaris
He's number one. Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
All right, go ahead. Tell me what would give me something good.
Natty Wonder
Barbara, I appreciate it, but. Yeah, we'll let it ride.
Blaine Gibson
I. I want. I don't want to take care of that. Or do I? I don't know. Yes, here.
Gustavo Sorola
And Kleiner puts his head down and gives you a nasty headbutt. I mean, just like full force straight on. Right on. Well, what would be your nose, but your Thaumatech.
John Risinger
As. As Doug sees this, he's writing it down in his notebook.
Barbara Dunkelman
It's just headbutt.
Gustavo Sorola
And it causes one point of bludgeoning damage.
Chris Damaris
Okay.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, okay. So it's something like this. And then I headbutt him back.
Chris Damaris
Oh, yeah.
Blaine Gibson
I was hoping you would just die.
Gustavo Sorola
He falls. He says that and then falls to the ground, unmoving.
Chris Damaris
But.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh. Oh, well, I. I think we've gleaned all the information we need to from him. Right, Gunter? You have what you need?
Chris Damaris
I guess.
Natty Wonder
I mean, it better be, because I can't do that again. I gotta take quite the rest for that to happen again.
Blaine Gibson
Then yes, Gunther, give him mouth to mouth. He's. He can bring him back, I promise you.
Barbara Dunkelman
I think it's. It's good to know that the Bunlap is clearly here and he's looking for the wielder shield, which also is somewhere here. So. Yes, I don't know, maybe we could try to get to it first or try to meet back up with Bunlap.
Chris Damaris
Well, I feel like if I get to it first and that might not. I need to get to Bunlap first and then go with Bunlap because I do not want to anger my deity.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, that's probably for the best.
Blaine Gibson
Well, spoiler alert. You already have. There's 79 Undarians and we know that they went down the spiral hanging out elevator.
Natty Wonder
No, we don't. No, we don't.
Blaine Gibson
We went up or down the spiral.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So we don't know. So don't say facts that aren't facts. This group really runs with those.
Gustavo Sorola

Chris Damaris
Can I do a check, like a survival check to check for bun laps, footprints and any any smells or anything that might guide us as to where he went exactly. And maybe make a.
Gustavo Sorola
You can make a survival check if while you're making that check I just want to remind everyone, I think we talked about it already but just to be safe about the ways in and out of this room. Oh, the Senat twin.
Barbara Dunkelman
24 Heck yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
You all came in from the southern end of this room and then from this room you can go there's a corridor to the west which is caved in, a corridor to the east and the Spiral Evader which goes either up or down. Just so everyone's got it in their head. So 24 yeah, you, you know it's this is not. I'm going to be honest with you Chris, I probably wasn't going to give you anything here because this is a very difficult room to track in with the water and you know the combat that happened and everything going on. But you know, with a roll that good you are able to discern that it appears that Bundlap's steps go to the Spiral Evader.
Blaine Gibson
Now based on his footprints is he does is this a formal event or a non formal event? By that I mean is he wearing shoes or not very formal. No shoes.
Gustavo Sorola
Got it.
John Risinger
Okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Don't take any clothes off okay, his grippers are out.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, no.
Chris Damaris
Is this spiral? It can go up or down.
Gustavo Sorola
Correct.
Chris Damaris
And there's no way to discern. Is there a way to discern which direction the elevator went most recently?
John Risinger
I mean, we could just choose a direction and then explore that. And if that's not it, then go down.
Gustavo Sorola
You could ask the Wilder Flower.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, you want to have a little conversation? All right, guys. How about we leave it up to chance?
Unknown/Minor Speaker
How about.
Natty Wonder
How about this? I'll help. I can help. I can help. And Natty has. Has. Has helped.
Chris Damaris
What, are you gonna revive this guy again? Because they were
Gustavo Sorola
like, I can't take another one.
John Risinger
He's like, let me take a quick, long rest here.
Natty Wonder
And then, yeah, let's do Augury.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, the bones. Yeah, Throw them dice down.
Chris Damaris
We shall consult the bones.
Natty Wonder
Yes. And as a reminder, you receive an omen about a specific course of action that you plan to take within the next 30 minutes. And then you, the DM, say, Wheel. Woe. Wheel and woe are nothing. And those determine. Yes. No.
Blaine Gibson
So is that dung, boot, boon, speak,
Gustavo Sorola
reel or roe or.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, yeah, listen, I'm working on it.
Natty Wonder
You're perfect how you are. I roll the bones, and I say, should we go down?
Barbara Dunkelman
This was in Stardust, one of my
John Risinger
favorite movies, where they throw the bones up.
Natty Wonder
Yes, it is.
Chris Damaris
It's also in Willow.
Goldenrod
Willow.
Gustavo Sorola
I haven't seen Willow in decades. I need to watch that again. So. Going down, Wheeler.
Natty Wonder
Whoa.
Gustavo Sorola
To Augury. Correct.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
Wheel.
John Risinger
Yay.
Natty Wonder
We're going down.
Blaine Gibson
We should start calling it Wheel.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Or no.
Blaine Gibson
Wheel.
Gustavo Sorola
Wheel of Fortune. But, you know, whatever. Each their own.
Natty Wonder
So let's. Let's. Let's take an elevator down Spiral of Vader. Sorry, Sorry.
Blaine Gibson
Is there, like, a funny goblin in, like, a little bellhop suit with a little pill hat? He says, oh, hello. Can I take your bags?
Chris Damaris
I will put on the gas. No, the scuba diving mask, Norco mask, and my eel skin hat so that I look not like me. So that if we meet Ondarians, they will not immediately attack.
Gustavo Sorola
Sounds good. The Spiral Evader. I mentioned this in the previous episode, but I have not mentioned it again in this episode, so I feel compelled to say it again. The Spiral Evader is pretty small. It can probably hold about two people at a time.
Natty Wonder
Oh, yeah, you did say that.
Gustavo Sorola
Who wants to go down for. Oh, how. I assume you go two and two. But you tell me, how are y' all gonna approach this?
Blaine Gibson
I'll go first. I'll, you know, secure the area.
Chris Damaris
I'll go first. In case bodlap is there.
Barbara Dunkelman
This probably makes sense from a size perspective of a big guy, small guy and another big guy.
John Risinger
Small, small.
Barbara Dunkelman
Natty.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay, so Tollv and Gunther first, then Doug and Natty.
Natty Wonder
No, Tolve and Gunther first, and then Gigi and Cap' n Grumbles and then Doug and Natty.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay, got it.
John Risinger
John, I'm going to kill you. Just kidding.
Blaine Gibson
Guys.
Gustavo Sorola
I'm gonna go ahead and read it. So Tolve and Gunther, you both descend through the spiral evader. And when you emerge on the lower level, it appears to be a sort of archaeological dig. And you get like a, like a waft, a scent of smoke in the air. And on the wall you see two. What appear to be two blue gemstone eyes.
Chris Damaris
Oh.
Blaine Gibson
Scaring the area, Checking our corners, looking around.
Gustavo Sorola
The eyes pop open and immediately focus on you Tole. They're rough hewn through the rock and they are stacked one on top of the other.
Blaine Gibson
So. But their eyes are their blue gems.
Gustavo Sorola
They're blue gems that appear to be
Chris Damaris
like eyes but one on top of the other.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, almost like a squared off eight. Like you know, like an LED clock. You know, the. Almost like two boxes, one top of the.
Chris Damaris
Like they're right on top of each other. They're kind of cross eyed.
Gustavo Sorola
They're right on top of each other. I wouldn't say they're even cross eyed. They're like vertically one on top of the other.
John Risinger
They look like eyes, but they're not necessarily eyes.
Gustavo Sorola
Correct. Yeah, that's a good way to think of it.
Chris Damaris
But they just opened.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, they're open and there's like a blue glowing light out of them and they're fixated on youtol.
John Risinger
This is what Trevor sees when he comes into my, into our bedroom when I'm already getting ready for bed and I'm just like, welcome to the bedroom.
Natty Wonder
Come hither.
Blaine Gibson
I turn my head sideways to greet them in a way that they can see us. Me, eye to eye. And I say, yoo hoo. It's me, Tov. Hello, blue eyes.
Barbara Dunkelman
My blue eyes.
Blaine Gibson
Hi, Frank Sinatra. What are you doing here?
Gustavo Sorola
They, they just, just blink at you?
Blaine Gibson
I blink back, blink.
Chris Damaris
Nothing.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay.
Chris Damaris
Is there anything else in this space?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Are there any like dead bodies? Does this seem like a security system of any sort?
Gustavo Sorola
Make a. Let's call it an intelligence check.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, okay.
Chris Damaris
Both of us are.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
That is a 16, a 6.
Gustavo Sorola
You begin looking around, trying to see if it's you know, like you're trying to work on your theory that it's security system. And it doesn't seem like there's much else of note. Nothing that would appear to be like. Like a security system. Like you're thinking, okay. And as you're. As you're thinking about this, poking around trying to figure it out, the rest of the party comes down to Spiral Vader and joins.
Blaine Gibson
Hello, guys. There are some blue eyes. I do not see a white dragon. But, you know, just be aware it's a Yukio reference.
Natty Wonder
It's very funny. Laugh, laugh.
Goldenrod
Very good.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, I've already made the reference.
Natty Wonder
Do I have to laugh when you make it too?
Blaine Gibson
What?
Barbara Dunkelman
I like my blue eyes.
Chris Damaris
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
She made.
Blaine Gibson
Did she?
John Risinger
Yeah, it's okay. It's funnier.
Natty Wonder
You were thinking of Frank Sinatra.
John Risinger
Yeah, it's funnier when you deliver it.
Blaine Gibson
Oh man. I believe it. I think it might be a security system, but it doesn't seem to pose a threat. I don't. I'm going to go up to it and maybe touch the top one. What the heck?
Gustavo Sorola
As you get closer, the eyes seem to track you. And you go up and touch it. And right as you're about to touch it, the eyelid closes. So you touch the wall and then as you pull your hand away, it reopens and still looking at you. This seems somewhat familiar to you, Tolve.
Blaine Gibson
Is it a similar blue hue to my shield that allows me to see sonatax? Oh, it's recognizing me because I'm a Thaumatech.
Gustavo Sorola
Your shield is glowing, sibling.
Blaine Gibson
Are you.
Goldenrod
Are you.
Natty Wonder
Hello.
Blaine Gibson
Is this one of you my brothers or sisters?
Gustavo Sorola
Without a doubt. What? Which one?
Blaine Gibson
Gnoll? Ed? Diva?
Chris Damaris
Trey?
Blaine Gibson
Fryra?
Natty Wonder
Finn?
Blaine Gibson
Sex. Stu. We have a nickname for sex. We'll get into that later. Stu. Atta.
Gustavo Sorola
It is certain.
Blaine Gibson
Are you Atta? Do I need to go backwards? Yes, definitely. Okay, good. So good to see you. Why do you look this way? Are the eyes similar to the size of Tolls? For some reason in my mind I'm imagining them large, but I guess. Is it just like. Is it just like two normal Thaumatech eyes?
Chris Damaris
Yeah, I thought they were big, but
Gustavo Sorola
I mean, they're kind of big.
John Risinger
Why aren't they really answering you though? Like. Yeah, they aren't really saying who they are.
Chris Damaris
They only have a mouth that you could see.
John Risinger
I just mean, like you're asking which.
Natty Wonder
Wait, wait, which sibling? I wanna follow Chris's logic. They weren't answering because I don't have a mouth, but they were talking. So how are they talking?
Chris Damaris
Yeah, okay, that's fair.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
Do I see Any.
Blaine Gibson
Is this another Neo Tio situation where there are body parts missing?
Gustavo Sorola
You can only see eyes.
Chris Damaris
Can I try something?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, go for it.
Chris Damaris
I have this thing, the octopod of obscura. Turns water into inquisitive ink. Dribbles some out. Ink flows towards hidden things in an area.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, that's cool.
Chris Damaris
And see if. Can I try that and see if there's anything hidden in this room that we're missing?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Chris Damaris
Or like, there's more body parts or anything.
Gustavo Sorola
Absolutely. Do you have to, like, say what you're looking for or just, like, it just flows to things that are hidden, right?
Chris Damaris
It just says. Yeah, things that are hidden or. And I roll. I have 4D6, I think, per long rest. So I'll roll to see if it uses one of those. It's a three. So does that mean it's used up?
Gustavo Sorola
One to two exhausts it. So. No, three does not.
Chris Damaris
Oh, okay.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. So you pour out the octopod of obscura on the ground, and it slowly flows. I was gonna say rolls. It flows in the direction of the wall where the eyes are. And just as a reminder, this. This level is carved out. It looks like an archaeological dig of some kind.
Blaine Gibson
So this is like that other leg that we found way, way back.
Chris Damaris
We need to. Maybe the rest is still in stone. It's time for a dig.
Blaine Gibson
Yes. Dear family member. Blink twice if you need, like, to be freed because you're trapped in this wall.
Barbara Dunkelman
Outlook good.
Natty Wonder
Oh, no.
Blaine Gibson
Okay, I think, guys, I think that they are in a bit of a crisis situation where they're not thinking or responding correctly. So if you guys wouldn't mind helping me get my family member out.
Gustavo Sorola
I. I don't know. I don't know how well it's coming across, so I feel compelled to mention it. Every time it's replying, it's a different voice.
Natty Wonder
Interesting.
Blaine Gibson
So is it multiple family? Okay.
John Risinger
Or something weird's happening with, like, his voice box?
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, it's a real bumblebee from Transformers situation.
Natty Wonder
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
I mean, Doug, I feel like you would be very helpful for this. Do you have any sort of machinery could gambot to do anything to help me excavate my family member?
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, absolutely. Why don't I take a look? Permission to come check you out, Ada. As I see it.
Goldenrod
Yes.
Barbara Dunkelman
Okay, that was a verbal yes. So I'm coming over.
John Risinger
Could Doug, like, I guess check out mechanically how this is functioning and if there's, like, a piece out of whack or anything like that? Because, I mean, he has spent time with Tolv and also Neo Teo and all those other siblings. So I feel like Doug would have a pretty good understanding of like, how the Thaumatech form would be and all the parts and pieces and stuff.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, I think that it's, you know, it's technology that's. I don't want to say it's beyond Doug, but it's like, it's very complicated, very powerful technology. But like you said, you have spent a lot of time with it. So while you, you don't have the ability to build a Thaumatech per se, you understand the ins and outs and like, more or less how it all connects and how everything works. So, you know, you poke around a bit and, you know, try to see what's going on and make me an intelligence check, Doug, with advantage because of your Thaumatech knowledge.
Blaine Gibson
Okay. Yes, I have caught Doug looking at me when I am in a trance.
John Risinger
Yes.
Barbara Dunkelman
I'm studying 21.
Natty Wonder
Nice.
Gustavo Sorola
21. That's really good.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
You know, you trace the outline of the eyes and try to touch the wall and ascertain what's going on around you. And from your perception, what it appears to you is that this Thaumatech is buried in the wall and only the eyes have been excavated so far. That if you continue the excavation behind it, that you will uncover more of it.
John Risinger
Okay. I think I have in my inventory. See, I could have sworn I had like a pickaxe, but maybe I don't.
Chris Damaris
Yeah, yeah, I have smithing tools and
John Risinger
I have a. I do have a pickaxe. Okay.
Gustavo Sorola
You did buy some from Claudia and
Chris Damaris
I got a drill.
John Risinger
Already have a pickaxe, Smith tools, and I think also a heavy duty drill as well.
Gustavo Sorola
In my inventory, I believe you got that pickaxe under Fort Endridge, if I'm remembering right.
John Risinger
I did.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, I think. Yeah, you got that a long time ago.
Chris Damaris
And I have a warpick, a wafting warpick.
John Risinger
Could I gently try to excavate the rest of this Thaumatech?
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, Tolv, I promise I'll be gentle. Okay. I won't hurt your sibling.
Blaine Gibson
I'm not worried about it. I know you are very gentle. It's okay, dog. I'm going to help in any way I can. Just going to provide assistance.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. You begin slowly picking at it. As you begin uncovering it, you start to realize the scope of the work and you think it's going to take some time to get it all done. It's not impossible, but it will take a little bit of time working at it in order to get it all excavated.
Barbara Dunkelman
Well, I mean, I got time.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. You begin picking at the rubble around Ada and make me a dexterity saving throw.
Barbara Dunkelman
Doug. Saving throw. Okay.
John Risinger
Gonna use my inspo die because I was an 11.
Barbara Dunkelman
Whoa. Yes, Nat.
John Risinger
20 for a 22.
Gustavo Sorola
Ooh. Okay. Yeah. As you're picking at it, you feel a slight rumble in the wall and in the ground under your feet, and you dodge out of the way just in time as a large piece of the ceiling falls and collapses right where you were standing just a second ago.
Barbara Dunkelman
I swear I didn't do that.
Natty Wonder
How was Ada?
Blaine Gibson
Are they further buried into the rubble or was this just a.
Gustavo Sorola
No. That frees Ada. The collapse of the ceiling causes part of the wall to fall as well, which allows Ada to roll out from the wall. And now you can fully see Ada before you. And you see, Ada has a sphere shaped body and is cart sized and appears to be made out of some kind of black metal with a central circular display of two square eyes made of sapphire with one on top of the other. And Ada begins rolling around, moving around.
Barbara Dunkelman
Didn't Ada always look like that?
Natty Wonder
Ada sounds like a Star wars droid.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, they do. Ocho, what's up? How are you? I go in for a.
Gustavo Sorola
You go in and feel the cool metal sphere that is your sibling. Ada.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, so good to see you. What are you doing down here, Atta?
Gustavo Sorola
The eyes just blink.
Blaine Gibson
Do I remember if Ada's always had difficulty communicating or is this a new symptom of something?
Gustavo Sorola
I'll say this. Ada blinks and you look at Ada and they reply to you. Concentrate and try again.
Blaine Gibson
Are they like a magic.
Natty Wonder
They're a Magic 8 ball.
Blaine Gibson
They're a Magic 8 ball. I just got it now. They're a orb with the eyes on top of the other, looking like an
Natty Wonder
eight with an eight. Eight.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Guys, I should tell you this. Atta is a little quirky, okay? They're not very straightforward, but they're very good people. Okay, everybody say hi to Atta.
Chris Damaris
Hi, Atta.
Barbara Dunkelman
Hello, Atta.
Blaine Gibson
Natty, say hi to Adda.
Natty Wonder
Natty goes up and shakes. Adda,
Barbara Dunkelman
you gotta ask a question when you do it.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
And says, are you gonna come to my wedding? And then Natty waits.
John Risinger
It is decidedly so.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, great. Also, what is the head count at your wedding?
Chris Damaris
My God.
Blaine Gibson
Inviting people willy nilly.
Barbara Dunkelman
Hey, Ada, have you seen a very.
Natty Wonder
It's your family. I'm sorry? It's your family. Tove, I'm inviting your family. You're mad at me?
Blaine Gibson
No, not at all. I hope you can invite all 11 of my brothers and sisters, but gee whiz, like, actually, that's a ton of people. That's very expensive.
Barbara Dunkelman
You.
Blaine Gibson
You must become from wealth.
John Risinger
Blaine would know firsthand how expensive having a lot of guests at a wedding.
Blaine Gibson
It's plated. Or is it like, you know,
Barbara Dunkelman
Have you by any chance seen a very, very, very handsome frog like, guy walking around here?
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, not that one.
Barbara Dunkelman
I mean, you know, I did say very, very handsome. Stars point. Yes. Oh, I didn't realize you had lungs. Don't count on it.
Blaine Gibson
Can I, Can I examine Ada? Like I know that they're. This is how they communicate. Are they damaged from this?
Gustavo Sorola
You think this must be some kind of new symptom, right? Like, Ada wasn't always like this, that Ada used to be able to talk more. Something must have happened.
John Risinger
Okay, should I continue checking out their voice box? That's something I could do.
Blaine Gibson
And if you can, if you need any spare parts, I will donate any of them.
Gustavo Sorola
It's like Blaine's doing the robot as he sits there.
Natty Wonder
He's doing the C3PO is what he's doing.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, if you want, you can, you can make some kind of check on that intelligence. I'm trying to see what would make sense. I guess intelligence would make the most sense.
John Risinger
Okay, 19.
Gustavo Sorola
You get through there, you know, take a look at the workings of Ada's voice box and try to see, you know, how everything connects to each other, but it doesn't quite makes sense to you. Everything is wired the way it should be. You know, you can see that it's working and you can't just figure out why the vocabulary is limited.
Natty Wonder
Typical IT problem.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, typical.
Blaine Gibson
Does this seem like something that's like a life threatening thing, or is this just kind of a new thing that they're gonna have to deal with?
Gustavo Sorola
I mean, Ada's rolling around and themes, from what you can tell, seems fine. Just limited speech.
Chris Damaris
It's BB8 ball.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
It flicks out a lighter and gives you a thumbs up.
Blaine Gibson
What did they say earlier about if they saw Bunlap? They said signs point to yes, yes, yes.
Gustavo Sorola
Stars point to yes.
John Risinger
But.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Atto, would you want to join? Oh, by the way, quick catch up. I've run into some family members. Elva, Neo and Tio. They're in good health. Things are going well. Here are their body parts, you know, as a finger. We've been doing the cute little trade thing. Anytime we run into family members. We'll worry about that later. Let's get you out of this cave eventually. But you and I can do a little trade. That way it's like we have a little piece of each other to continue our journeys. So.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. As you're saying this, something enters your memory banks.
Chris Damaris
Oh.
Gustavo Sorola
And your vision goes a little wonky. Tol. Your vision changes and you get a little further information. You understand a little bit more about Ada, I should say.
Blaine Gibson
Hold on.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Buffering.
Gustavo Sorola
Hold on, hold on.
Chris Damaris
Buffering.
John Risinger
We just see his eyeballs with a little swirly thing of loading.
Blaine Gibson
63%.
Barbara Dunkelman
70.
Blaine Gibson
71, 80, 82, 90, 99, 100. Okay, there it is.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Okay. Okay.
John Risinger
You should have buffered on 99 for about 10 minutes.
Blaine Gibson
I could tell John was seeing. I didn't want to.
Gustavo Sorola
Do you see the last few seconds of reality that you experience, but slightly different. The places where Doug and Gunther are standing are swapped.
John Risinger
And this is something that Tolv sees
Gustavo Sorola
happen, only Tolve sees. Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
So it's from Ada's perspective, and it's.
Gustavo Sorola
It's your perspective. Like you're standing there in the same spot, but from what you can see. Doug and Gunther are in different spots. They swaps places. And then you catch back up to reality and you look at them and they're where you remember them being.
John Risinger
Okay, could we sense if there's any, like. Like, something in the air or in this, like, area that we are in that might be, like, infecting?
Gustavo Sorola
Are you asking if there's something in the air tonight?
Barbara Dunkelman
I mean, it's still in my head, guys. I can't shake it.
Blaine Gibson
Question to Nadi. Did Gigi put a fridge magnet on the back of my head and I just can't see it back there? I'm feeling a little loopy.
Natty Wonder
What is. What is it you.
Goldenrod
You.
Natty Wonder
You just experienced? Because I don't know what it is that you just experienced.
Blaine Gibson
So I just noticed that ad is a little off. And I was looking at Gunther and Doug, and I think that they just swapped places, but then they said swapped back, so I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I don't know what's going on.
Barbara Dunkelman
Like a glitch almost.
Goldenrod
Yeah.
Chris Damaris
Was it like we swapped where we were standing or the things that we were.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, you swapped where you were standing. Yes.
Natty Wonder
Okay, maybe. Maybe look elsewhere and see if it happens again.
Gustavo Sorola
Make a history check for me to.
Blaine Gibson
History check. Oh, not bad. 17.
Chris Damaris
Am I Doug?
Gustavo Sorola
You got the fur on still?
Barbara Dunkelman
You wish.
Gustavo Sorola
17 on the history check. From tolv. Tol, you recall that Atta was built and designed to predict the future?
Blaine Gibson
Oh, okay. Yeah, I share that with the team. So what does that. I mean, are we. There's no fate, but not what we make. What is it? What's those?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, I think that's it.
John Risinger
Well, yeah, because, like, if. If he did that and then we're like, oh, well, then let's switch spots.
Chris Damaris
Let us switch spots.
Barbara Dunkelman
I guess. I guess so.
Chris Damaris
Should we change clothes too?
Natty Wonder
Well,
Barbara Dunkelman
I don't know if I want to wear your underwear, Gunto.
Chris Damaris
Okay, okay.
Gustavo Sorola
Just get in your wedding attire. Yeah, you two switch spots, but nothing seems to happen. Tolf, you suspect that maybe it's a slight malfunction on Ada's part. Maybe Ada's not seeing the future correctly. Question mark.
Natty Wonder
Maybe Ada's seeing possibilities or just their
John Risinger
visions of the future is somehow being manipulated or skewed because of, like some type of malfunction.
Natty Wonder
Well, yeah, Yeah, I think that's part. If Ada is a computer, is a robot, and has a computer mind, and ADA was designed to see the future, then what a computer can do is just take all the data that's coming in and make predictions. But that prediction process would. Would involve them making all the predictions and then narrowing it down the most likely one. And so if they're not.
Chris Damaris
Hold that thought.
Blaine Gibson
Steve Wozniak. Oh, yes. What's going on, Adam?
Barbara Dunkelman
I think they have a virus.
Gustavo Sorola
It's Giggy's coughing uncontrollably.
Natty Wonder
Oh, that's okay. Just give him a second. He'll get out.
Chris Damaris
Oh, did you eat more gold?
Blaine Gibson
I'll just pass pack him on the back.
Gustavo Sorola
He spits up a saliva covered rock.
John Risinger
Oh, is it gold?
Gustavo Sorola
No, it's just a plain rock.
John Risinger
Oh. Cause wasn't he eating all the gold before to keep inside him?
Natty Wonder
Normally he don't cough it up. Normally he passes it pretty well.
Blaine Gibson
Well, earlier when we were talking to Atta, they started going,
John Risinger
could I look at the rock?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, Doug. By the way, Barbara, we're taking inspiration back to remembering that. That's pretty good.
Barbara Dunkelman
Also, I think, Gunther, you're also a pretty big expert on rock, so you want to take a look at this with me?
Chris Damaris
I do like pebbles.
Barbara Dunkelman
You do? But this seems more than a pebble. Yes, Giant pebble.
Chris Damaris
It's a big rock.
Blaine Gibson
That's a Dwayne Johnson.
Gustavo Sorola
You go over and take a look at the rock, and it appears to be like a brownish red rock with almost like a swirling sort of texture.
Barbara Dunkelman
Kanto, do you Recognize this?
Chris Damaris
Do I? Do I? Can I. I don't know. What would be a history or a nature check? Nature. Nature. Okay. 14.
Blaine Gibson
Not bad.
Gustavo Sorola
You don't recognize it, but it. It does appear to be similar to other rocks in the area in this excavation area. Natty, make me a perception check.
Barbara Dunkelman
I have a feeling these rocks are making us sick.
Natty Wonder
13 plus 3. 16.
Gustavo Sorola
Gigi seems like he's acting kind of weird.
Natty Wonder
Gigi, you want to talk to Mama? You want to try tell me what's going on.
Gustavo Sorola
He's sitting on the ground with his arms outstretched. It seems like he's trying to reach towards the ceiling.
Blaine Gibson
I think he wants uppies, like, directly
Natty Wonder
up, because uppies is more like arms towards the person you want.
Gustavo Sorola
It's not uppies. He's, like, grabbing at something that you can't see.
Natty Wonder
Okay. Natty would look up in that direction to see if she could follow his line of sight.
Gustavo Sorola
You follow his line of sight, and there's nothing there. It's just a plain patch of the ceiling.
Natty Wonder
Okay, here's what Natty's gonna do. Neddy's gonna pick up Gigi. Is the ceiling. Is this room, like, fairly tall?
Gustavo Sorola
No, it's pretty small because it's being excavated out, so it's a pretty low ceiling.
Natty Wonder
Give me a height.
Gustavo Sorola
Six feet.
Natty Wonder
Oh, very, very. So. Okay, well, then I'll just pick him up.
Gustavo Sorola
I had mentioned it only in passing, I think, in the previous episode. But these passages are small, like, almost like they were carved for small folk.
Natty Wonder
That makes sense. In a mine. Yeah. You don't carve out more than you need.
Blaine Gibson
They called it a mine.
Natty Wonder
I'll lift him up, see if, like, his hands reach what they're reaching for.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, he grabs something that you can't see, and it just starts, like, shoveling it into his mouth like he's eating the air.
Natty Wonder
Well, is there a chance that Natty could try to touch what it is that, like, he's grabbed? Like, is it tangible to Natty?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, you reach out there, and it seems to just be air. And as you do that, Gigi begins slapping your hands away.
Natty Wonder
Oh, does he just want to eat
John Risinger
more of the rock?
Gustavo Sorola
Make a. Make me a medicine check, Natty.
Natty Wonder
All right, that's another. 13. What's my medicine modifier? Nothing.
Gustavo Sorola
13, you think that maybe he's under some kind. He says you think he's seeing things that you can't see? Almost like there's some sort of hallucinogenic effect that he's suffering from.
Natty Wonder
Okay. Oh, hold on.
John Risinger
Even Though he spat out the rock.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Barbara Dunkelman
So maybe if Gigi's seeing something. Tov, maybe you're seeing something.
Chris Damaris
And did you eat rock?
Gustavo Sorola
Did you eat rock? Did you eat rock? I want that on a shirt.
Natty Wonder
I don't know. This is really perplexing. We got Gigi glitching out. We got. We got tolve glitching out. And we got a new robot buddy.
Chris Damaris
Gunther eats a rock.
Gustavo Sorola
All right, willingly, Gunther, you go and eat the rock.
Chris Damaris
I don't normally eat rock.
Natty Wonder
Yeah. Cause we're organic creatures.
Barbara Dunkelman
Am I gonna be the only sober one here and have to take you guys all through, like, your trip?
Blaine Gibson
Dee Dee,
Chris Damaris
don't hit us with your mushroom glove.
Gustavo Sorola
You see your friends in front of you staring at you in disbelief as you eat this rock. Gunther. And you're looking at Ada. Ada looks weird.
Chris Damaris
Can I voice what I see?
Gustavo Sorola
Let me slack it to you, okay?
Chris Damaris
That way they can party, can hear. Oh, guys, I see Atta. They are growing arms. Eight arms like octopus. And uh oh. Uh oh. Oh no. Watch out. There's blood flowing out of the walls. There's blood flowing.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Oh.
Chris Damaris
Oh no. Everyone, the blood is everywhere.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Swim.
Chris Damaris
Put goggles.
Barbara Dunkelman
I think you're hallucinating. You're hallucinating. Gunther, spit the rock out.
John Risinger
Doug will try to do the Heimlich maneuver on Gunther trying to get it out.
Gustavo Sorola
You grab Gunther, I'll say he. There's no problem because he's a little freaked out right now and begins squeezing at him. And he spits the rock out onto the ground and dribbles around.
Barbara Dunkelman
Okay, there you go.
John Risinger
Cough it up.
Barbara Dunkelman
Good, good.
Chris Damaris
Oh, I was freaking out. Man.
Unknown/Minor Speaker

John Risinger
I'm right here.
Gustavo Sorola
Don't miss the return of Marvel Television's Daredevil Born Again.
Blaine Gibson
So what's next?
Natty Wonder
I feel liberated.
Blaine Gibson
We're gonna take this city back in
Gustavo Sorola
an all new season. Now streaming only on Disney plus. They're hunting us.
John Risinger
It's time we started hunting them.
Chris Damaris
I can work with them.
Natty Wonder
This should be tons of fun.
Gustavo Sorola
Marvel Television's Daredevil Born Again now streaming only Disney plus.
Blaine Gibson
I sold my car in Carvana last night. Well, that's cool. No, you don't understand.
Natty Wonder
It went perfectly.
Blaine Gibson
Real offer down to the penny. They're picking it up tomorrow.
Natty Wonder
Nothing went wrong.
Barbara Dunkelman
So what's the problem?
Natty Wonder
That is the problem.
Blaine Gibson
Nothing in my life goes as smoothly. I'm waiting for the catch.
Barbara Dunkelman
Maybe there's no catch.
Blaine Gibson
That's exactly what a catch would want me to think.
Barbara Dunkelman
Wow.
Carvana Narrator
You need to relax.
Blaine Gibson
I need to knock on wood. Do we have. What is this? Table wood?
Barbara Dunkelman
I think it's laminate.
Blaine Gibson
Okay.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Yeah, that's good.
Goldenrod
That's close enough.
Carvana Narrator
Car selling without a catch. Sell your car today on Carvana. Pick up fees may apply.
Natty Wonder
So you, you have described like the rocks around this area in that. That a similar like hue description of like reddish, like brownish red and so in. But you said this one, the rock itself had a swirl to it. Is that swirl consistent with other things in the wall or does that rock seem to be different from the rest of the general detritus?
Gustavo Sorola
When you see these rocks, they all kind of have that similar kind of texture.
Natty Wonder
Okay.
Gustavo Sorola
And it's not every rock. It's like, you know, there's different kinds of rocks in the wall and different, you know, ores and veins.
Natty Wonder
But it's not. It's not uncommon. It's not uncommon.
Gustavo Sorola
Right, okay. It's pretty common.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
Hey, Ada? Yeah? I couldn't get. You said ocho a second ago and it broke my brain. Atta.
Blaine Gibson
That's their nickname. That's what friends call them.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, yeah, that's fine.
John Risinger
That's fine.
Natty Wonder
It works. Do you perhaps know anything about these rocks? You seem to have spent a lot of time with them.
John Risinger
A little too much time if you ask me.
Chris Damaris
Wait, wait, wait. One moment. Were you always purple?
Blaine Gibson
No, wait. Hi there. It's me, Doug.
Gustavo Sorola
Yes.
Chris Damaris
Why are you green?
Barbara Dunkelman
Green?
Chris Damaris
I mean, Natty, you're blue. And I don't mean sad, but like literally blue. Why is everyone different colors?
Blaine Gibson
I think. I think he's still kind of tripping out. He might have licked himself to add compounding effects.
Gustavo Sorola
And Natty, you asked Ada if they knew anything about these rocks or they'd
Natty Wonder
seen these rocks, just if they knew anything about them. I know this is a yes and no kind of situation, so we're gonna have to narrow it down.
Gustavo Sorola
My reply is null.
Natty Wonder
Okay. Okay. We came down this spiral vader and we obviously immediately were interested in these eyes in the wall. Is this a closed off room? Is this the end of the mine? Or is there further corridors out of here?
Gustavo Sorola
So is this closed off mine? Are there further corridors out of here?
Natty Wonder
Like did we come down the elevator and this is just the room is this. And there's no exits other than going back up the spiral vader?
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, it is certain.
Natty Wonder
I wasn't asking.
John Risinger
I like that.
Natty Wonder
I was asking Gus this and I got Ada answer.
Gustavo Sorola
That's why I was like. That's why I restated your question, to try to shape it into a yes or no.
Natty Wonder
Okay, okay, that makes sense.
Gustavo Sorola
That way I could have Ada answer.
Natty Wonder
Wait, so then what did you say yes to? Because I think I asked more than.
Gustavo Sorola
What are we in a close off room? This is the. Yeah, this is the only.
Natty Wonder
Okay, okay. Thank you. Broke my brain.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, so there's a little Joe Pesci from Lethal Weapon 2 there. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
Blaine Gibson
Can tolve tell if the. I just spit all over my microphone. If the red rocks are what is causing Ada's kind of like dysfunction or if this is a sub. If this is something more to do with their.
Natty Wonder
Do we just need to like blow on Ada a lot or maybe just
John Risinger
take them out of here?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, that's a Good question. Also make a medicine check.
Natty Wonder
Toll.
Chris Damaris
Okay.
Natty Wonder
Robot medicine.
Blaine Gibson
Robot medicine. 12.
Gustavo Sorola
Well, for 12, it's just medicine. You think that it's something. Separate the rocks. Probably have nothing to do with Ada's current state.
Natty Wonder
Okay.
Blaine Gibson
I think we should Scooby Dee Doo out of here.
Natty Wonder
Is. Okay, so Gigi was tripping because Gigi ate that rock.
John Risinger
Same with Gunther.
Natty Wonder
So we know there's a high chance that these rocks have, like, some sort of psychotropic properties to them. So let's just keep that in mind. Gigi, Gigi only eat. You can eat everything but those rocks. Okay.
John Risinger
You get.
Barbara Dunkelman
You.
Natty Wonder
I don't say no to you in anything.
Barbara Dunkelman
But I'm saying I might be worded a little differently.
Gustavo Sorola
Make a roll to see if Diggy listens.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, I'm gonna make a check. This is. Natty normally doesn't like to say no to her baby. Her perfect angel, her light of her life. We know the guy, the little man who could do no wrong. But, you know, I gotta worry about him having, you know, he's a little young for drugs.
Blaine Gibson
He can do a little wrong.
Natty Wonder
Dang it. I rolled a two.
John Risinger
Brock's going in.
Natty Wonder
Yep. All right.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. I'd say that the current rock is out of reach since Gunther spit it out.
Natty Wonder
Natty, she takes the leash and does that thing where she wraps around her hand a couple times just to really,
Blaine Gibson
like, sharpen the leash maneuver.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
And get a good grip on it. She just knows she's gonna have to pull this child away real fast.
Gustavo Sorola
Gigi isn't very receptive to you telling him no, but that's fine. Natty, this might be a prime opportunity for a life lesson with geeky.
Natty Wonder
Oh, no. What?
Gustavo Sorola
It might help, you know, reinforce that sometimes he has to listen even though he doesn't agree with you or he doesn't want to do. What? You say that sometimes. Maybe Mama knows best for him.
Natty Wonder
I'm conflicted because that's not how Natty parents.
Gustavo Sorola
But this was a one a time exception. This was a different thing.
Natty Wonder
How about this? If Natty doesn't want to tell Gigi what to do necessarily on a regular basis, but Natty wouldn't mind Gigi understanding the effects that certain things can have on him. So then he can make a choice of what he wants to do if he wants to eat the trippy rocks, as long as he understands what they're gonna do to him, you know?
Gustavo Sorola
Sure. So this is. Maybe this is a hard lesson.
Natty Wonder
A hard lesson.
Blaine Gibson
Okay.
Gustavo Sorola
Because this is, like you said, this isn't something that's normally necessary in the wheelhouse of how you approach this. It's like, the more you know about, like, taking large amounts of information in and figuring out the consequences, good or bad.
John Risinger
Is it possible for Doug to put Gambot next to Gigi so Natty could teach both of them this lesson?
Natty Wonder
You can program your little dude. You literally had. You literally made him.
Barbara Dunkelman
Well, I just feel like a motherly touch would be nice for Gambot.
Natty Wonder
All right.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. We'll do a separate upgrades with Gambot later.
Natty Wonder
DC16 Wisdom check.
Gustavo Sorola
Yes.
Natty Wonder
What is Natty's?
Gustavo Sorola
This is advanced doomsday philosophy for those keeping track at home.
Natty Wonder
Natty has no wisdom modifier plus zero. All right, 16. That has a 13.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay.
Natty Wonder
Gigi ain't learned anything new today, but he's still perfect.
Gustavo Sorola
Gigi goes back to the rock, grabs it, and just holds onto it.
Blaine Gibson
Is it kind of like when a child is, like, threatening something where they go, huh?
Gustavo Sorola
No, he's just, like, defiantly holding onto it, just like it's his.
Natty Wonder
That's fine. That's fine. That's fine with me. Okay, you want that rock? You can have that rock. Okay. Just don't give it a gunther anymore.
Gustavo Sorola
I'm gonna say, though, that in order to grab the rock, Gigi is finally gonna drop the ax.
Goldenrod
What?
Gustavo Sorola
This is now more important to Gigi.
John Risinger
You've been holding that the whole time.
Chris Damaris
Oh, my goodness.
Natty Wonder
And I pick up the ax and I give it to Captain Grumbles so that he has an axe and shield now.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, nice.
Natty Wonder
All right, Captain Grumbles, you gotta hold on to that, because I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly, we're supposed to give that ax back eventually to its owner. So now it's in your career.
Gustavo Sorola
And now Captain Grumbles refuses to drop it.
Natty Wonder
Rigor mortis has set in.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah. From one child to the other.
John Risinger
His arm is straight out, just holding it.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Yeah.
Chris Damaris
Before we go, could Gunther collect a couple more of those rocks just to these addicted guys?
Gustavo Sorola
You absolutely can. But just so you know, Kris, Gunther, they're everywhere. They're a common stone. You've seen them in every room in the mine you've been in.
Chris Damaris
Okay, well, yeah, I'll just take a couple. Not for me. It's for a friend. Sure.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. Grab a couple rocks and hold onto them. As you were picking up these rocks, Gunther, one rock in particular stands out. It's slightly different than all the other rocks.
Chris Damaris
Oh.
Gustavo Sorola
It's an unusually smooth stone, and it feels out of Place compared to every other rock you've seen here. Everything else is very rough, you know. It's all been excavated. This one is very smooth. And it's got names etched into it. Croak folk names etched into it. The names of those who have fallen in battle.
Chris Damaris
Oh, do I recognize them? The names?
Gustavo Sorola
You don't recognize the names necessarily. But you do know that this is a tradition over from Bygone Grotto in Fly Flats.
John Risinger
Is it maybe something that Bunlap had on him that he dropped?
Chris Damaris
It must have.
Gustavo Sorola
You can. If you want to read some of the names. You can read some of the names.
Chris Damaris
Yes. I will honor them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. But are you gonna slack them to me or.
Gustavo Sorola
No, no, it's. You make them up.
Chris Damaris
Oh. Oh, yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
That's why I was like.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
It's up to you.
Chris Damaris
No, no.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chris Damaris
Yes, yes. Slonker.
Blaine Gibson
Slonker. Yes.
John Risinger
Slonker.
Chris Damaris
Yes. And then Slonker and Puddle Whack. Oh, Puddlewack.
Gustavo Sorola
Was Puddle Whack killed by a gloggle? No, no, no.
Chris Damaris
It was a great tragedy. Poodle whack. What happened is he was out and there was a construction error and he was crushed while just in the walking around.
Gustavo Sorola
Tragic. Tragic.
Chris Damaris
And then Pickles.
Blaine Gibson
Pickles, yes. Who could forget Pickles?
Chris Damaris
I honor them all.
Blaine Gibson
Just the three?
Gustavo Sorola
Well, no, I can.
Chris Damaris
I'll continue.
Gustavo Sorola
Is. Is Peaches on there?
Barbara Dunkelman
I think I see at least seven.
Chris Damaris
Count Con.
Blaine Gibson
Count. He was a count
Gustavo Sorola
cow.
Chris Damaris
Cal.
Blaine Gibson
I'm writing these. I don't know why I'm writing these down.
John Risinger
I can hear typing.
Natty Wonder
I can hear so much typing.
Blaine Gibson
It's important people.
Chris Damaris
And then. And then, of course, Harriet Har.
Natty Wonder
Yes, I heard she was a spy.
Blaine Gibson
Yep, There it is, spelled with a
Chris Damaris
Z. I'm glad you're writing down, because I wasn't. And I'm.
Blaine Gibson
I. I got it. I got it.
Barbara Dunkelman
Well, may they rest in peace.
Chris Damaris
Yes, they have gone now to give themselves to the Wilderflower.
Barbara Dunkelman
Should we maybe take this rock and give it back to Bunlap when we find him? I could give it to him.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Cause, you know, I think he might be really thankful that, you know, someone found it. And maybe he'll give them a hug.
Natty Wonder
He wants to give a gift to the hot frog.
Gustavo Sorola
I was wondering what the angle was.
Natty Wonder
He wants Bunlap to like him.
John Risinger
Listen, you can't take Bart out of me. Ever.
Gustavo Sorola
That's really funny.
Natty Wonder
Well, I think what we have ahead of us is a couple of options, but the main ones, we gotta go back up because There ain't nowhere else we can go down here. We can go back up to the level where we met our good friend Kleiner. Honestly, Blaine's joke has helped me remind. Remind me of that guy's name. Recliner.
John Risinger
Kleiner.
Natty Wonder
Kleiner. And there was a. There was a path there that we hadn't explored yet. So maybe we could exhaust that before we go up. Up to the cape. What y' all say about that?
Blaine Gibson
I'm super diggity down. Ada, do you want to join us?
Barbara Dunkelman
Not likely.
Natty Wonder
Oh, I haven't had had enough to.
Blaine Gibson
Well, that's too bad, because I need to get you to the surface to make sure you're safe.
Natty Wonder
Ada. Okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Error. Error. Error.
Natty Wonder
Wait. Ada, do you want to stay down here in this hole?
Gustavo Sorola
Some say yes, some say no.
Barbara Dunkelman
How very insightful.
Blaine Gibson
Ada, you're so quirky. Oh, my God, what a hoot and a holler.
Natty Wonder
Adda, do you want to leave this hole, but not with us? Like you got other plans?
Barbara Dunkelman
Most likely.
Natty Wonder
Okay, okay, okay, I get it.
Barbara Dunkelman
You.
Natty Wonder
You know, we all need our alone time. We all got our own thing, things to do. Tove, did you do a swappy already?
Blaine Gibson
No, I guess Aja, you know, that's. If that's your thing, I guess we freed you. I know you're very capable of handling yourself. So is it cool with you if we swapped components? That way, when you see our, you know, brothers and sisters and siblings, they'll know we encountered each other and I can show off. Proof of life it is.
Barbara Dunkelman
Surgeon.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, big hug. Big hug.
Gustavo Sorola
What.
Blaine Gibson
What components are there on Ada?
Chris Damaris
I'm trying to think of.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, I saw John pantomiming over there. Chris, I don't know what's wrong with you.
Chris Damaris
Well, your butt cheek is round,
Unknown/Minor Speaker
but
Gustavo Sorola
John's pantomiming to his eye.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, I'd be down for that. Ada, are you comfortable with that? If we switch ocular components.
Carvana Narrator
Cool.
Barbara Dunkelman
I don't remember that one on a Magic 8 ball.
Natty Wonder
That one, I laughed and I farted a little bit. I'm gonna let you know.
John Risinger
You John or Natty?
Natty Wonder
That was John. That was John saying, I laughed last and I farted.
Blaine Gibson
Gigi, you want to see something crazy?
John Risinger
Okay.
Goldenrod
All right.
Blaine Gibson
I take off the Bjorn mask and I remove it. Gigi begins clapping, and I remove an eyeball.
Gustavo Sorola
Which one?
Blaine Gibson
My right one.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay.
Natty Wonder
Gigi starts reaching for the left one.
John Risinger
I was gonna say he's gonna try
Barbara Dunkelman
to eat that eyeball.
Blaine Gibson
I push them away.
Gustavo Sorola
If Gigi's hands weren't full with rock, right now maybe he would be doing that. All right, so you pull your right eye out and swap it with Addo.
Natty Wonder
Yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
All right, so yeah, now you've got a blue sapphire eye in your right eye.
Natty Wonder
You got some heterochromia.
Blaine Gibson
Cool.
Chris Damaris
An eye for an eye.
Blaine Gibson
But like the good kind, like it's cool. Yeah.
John Risinger
All right.
Blaine Gibson
Anyways, okay, well, I give Ada one big hug and then I also relay where Elva, Neo and Tio are. That way if they want to regroup with them. And I wish them safe passage. Good luck on your journeys. No more getting caught in any more caves. Okay, Ada?
Gustavo Sorola
Yes, definitely.
Blaine Gibson
Okay. All right, carry on. See you later, pal.
Chris Damaris
Let's rock and roll. Cause there are rocks in ATA rolls.
Gustavo Sorola
That's pretty good.
Barbara Dunkelman
You like that? That was a whole like a really stacked pun that you had there, Gunther. It was so multi level.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, nice, nice. All right, what's the plan here?
Natty Wonder
What are we doing back up to Kleiner level?
Chris Damaris
Does it go down deeper?
John Risinger
But there's no other places down here because we were told, or it was hinted at that he was. Or Bunlop was seen down here, but I guess he could have easily gone somewhere else or upwards. So.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, there are no other exits other than the Spiral Vader to go back up.
Chris Damaris
I guess we technically asked, should we go up or down? And they said down, but that meant maybe we should go down to help Addo.
John Risinger
Or does he? Yeah, maybe that's where he had saw Bunlap at one point and then.
Natty Wonder
No, no, Kleiner didn't know. To be very clear, Kleina didn't know where Bunlap went.
Chris Damaris
Guys, I miss Kleiner.
Natty Wonder
We asked Augury and Augury was like,
John Risinger
yes, right, my bad.
Natty Wonder
That's fine. Just want to clarify, when I can see confusion happen, I'm like, let's unravel this, let's unravel this.
John Risinger
Let's head it off.
Gustavo Sorola
And in Augury's defense, you did find evidence of Bundlap being here too.
Chris Damaris
That's true.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Barbara Dunkelman
I got your rock.
Gustavo Sorola
All right, so what order are you guys going back up to Spiral Vader? Is it the same?
Chris Damaris
Sure.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. So we got Tolve and Gunther first, then Captain Grumbles and Gigi and then. Thank you, Natty and Doug.
Blaine Gibson
Have you guys noticed how fortunate it is whenever I encounter a sibling, it's in numerical order going backwards. Isn't that fun? Isn't that cool?
Gustavo Sorola
The universe is a weird place, isn't it?
Blaine Gibson
Yes, it is.
John Risinger
What does Alta mean?
Natty Wonder
Eight. Ada's eight.
John Risinger
Oh, I didn't know that.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah. So far we've had Elva, Neo, Tio, and now Ada. I love when we meet tall siblings. That's my favorite.
Gustavo Sorola
Well, also Barb. It plays into the whole eight ball thing.
John Risinger
Yeah, yeah. It's. Sometimes Barbara operates at a slower speed. Certain days. That's one of today's first. I had it in my head that Addo was one for some reason. I don't know why. It seemed like a very one number.
Blaine Gibson
That's Ed. You'll run into Ed later. They're a hoot and a holler.
Gustavo Sorola
You all get back up to the. I guess what you would call the main level of Spiral Vader. The middle level of the Spiral Vader, and you reconvene there. The body of Kleine is still there. Doug. I don't know what it is. You're getting kind of peckish, a little hungry.
John Risinger
Oh, what else is new?
Gustavo Sorola
Maybe it's all these. These people eating rocks. Should Doug eat a rock?
Natty Wonder
Do you want the rock as a meat grinder?
Barbara Dunkelman
You're a bad influence right now on me, Gunter. I saw what it did to you, but that is looking quite delectable.
Chris Damaris
Maybe I just had a bad one. These are different rocks.
Gustavo Sorola
I mean, you don't have to eat a rock, but I mean. Rocks, Right.
John Risinger
Can I just pick it up and just give it a little lick?
Goldenrod
Sure.
Blaine Gibson
The hitch of this, man. Go ahead.
Barbara Dunkelman
I just want you to. Just a little.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Just.
Barbara Dunkelman
I mean, what bad could a little. Just a little taste do?
Chris Damaris
Yeah, well, there might be blood on the walls.
Natty Wonder
Well,
Barbara Dunkelman
I'll try not to take one of those rocks.
Gustavo Sorola
Take the rock from Gunther and hold it and regard it. And you give it a try.
Barbara Dunkelman
For science, right?
Natty Wonder
Of course, for science.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah. I'm experimenting.
Gustavo Sorola
Your vision changes.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, guys, I don't feel so good. Is the room swirling and changing for anyone else? And is that snow? I thought we were underground. That doesn't make any sense. It couldn't be snowing in here. It's all over the ground now. Trees are spouting up.
Chris Damaris
Oh, trees are nice.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, my. Oh, and they're so tall. They're reaching the sky. These are really big trees. I feel really small right now, and that's a rarity. Guys, I don't feel. Is anyone here?
Chris Damaris
All right. We are here.
Blaine Gibson
Doug.
Barbara Dunkelman
Am I. Am I here? I think I'm disappearing.
Chris Damaris
Doug, you're. No, you're here.
Barbara Dunkelman
Did I accidentally take my gaseous form potion again?
Chris Damaris
Oh, no. Oh, Doug.
Barbara Dunkelman
I think I'm floating away. Guys. Someone hold on to me.
Blaine Gibson
I get in Doug's face and go, nightmare, nightmare, nightmare.
Natty Wonder
Cut to reality, and Natty is just holding Doug's hand and, like, walking along with him. And he's just, like, saying all this as his head is, like, rolling around everywhere.
Blaine Gibson
They're getting dragged along the floor.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah, yeah, you're holding me. I. I think I missed.
Natty Wonder
I got you. I got you, buddy. I got you. It's just going. You're gonna ride this out.
Barbara Dunkelman
Okay.
Chris Damaris
I'm gonna perform a procedure that you might find uncomfortable.
Barbara Dunkelman
No, I'm back. I'm good.
Chris Damaris
Oh, you are?
Blaine Gibson
Okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Sorry. I sensed you were about to give me mouth to mouth.
Chris Damaris
It was not mouth to mouth.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh, well, actually. Okay, let's see what it was.
Natty Wonder
The danger was not worth it.
Gustavo Sorola
Get one left to do the mouth to mouth. Quick.
Barbara Dunkelman
Okay, I think. I think I'm okay, but I mean, ganjo. If you want to try it, you're gonna try it.
Chris Damaris
Well, I don't. No, not if you don't need. If the rock has passed, then I will not do it.
Barbara Dunkelman
That was kind of cool. Not gonna lie.
Natty Wonder
Weird show.
Blaine Gibson
Could we.
Natty Wonder
Since we're now at level lobby, can we go to just see what that passageway leads to? To the east.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. You look to the corridor to the east, and it appears to be an excavated corridor that's well finished. It's a high ceiling, and it's exceptionally warm and moist. There's an old wooden ladder leaning against the wall, and it leads to the sound of scampering footsteps and some kind of clicking.
Blaine Gibson
Tell us more about this ladder. Is it like a diagonal ladder or Uppy Downy's ladder?
Gustavo Sorola
No, no, it's just. It is no diagonal ladder. Diagonal stairs. What was the. What was the thing?
Blaine Gibson
It was a diagonal ladder.
Chris Damaris
Diagonal.
Natty Wonder
It was a ladder. He was saying that he walked down a diagonal ladder with a bow in hand.
Blaine Gibson
And you go, diagonal ladder?
Gustavo Sorola
Yes.
Chris Damaris
You mean stairs.
Blaine Gibson
No, diagonal ladder.
Gustavo Sorola
You pass through into the next room and you find yourself in a great
Natty Wonder
hall via the ladder or past the ladder.
Gustavo Sorola
You find it past the ladder.
Natty Wonder
Okay. So above the ladder, we heard skittering past the ladder into a great hall?
Gustavo Sorola
No, past the ladder, you hear the skittering.
Natty Wonder
Okay, thank you.
Gustavo Sorola
It's just the ladder's leading there by the corridor. You pass the ladder into the great hall and you hear the scampering of footsteps and the occasional clicking sound. It's a painting of sparse treasure vault hanging on the west wall and a painting of the saline sea leaning on the east wall. And a fishing rod Handle dangles from the fishing line that disappears into the vaulted ceiling. Some of those Goliaths you met earlier frantically come and go in and out of the hall.
Natty Wonder
Seemed like a. Like a gathering place with a bunch of stuff that they've stacked up in here?
Gustavo Sorola
Maybe.
John Risinger
Yeah.
Blaine Gibson
Is this an alternate entrance into the great hall that we saw that Natty did the whole deception thing to the. The Hungarians?
Gustavo Sorola
No, that was a banquet hall.
Natty Wonder
Oh, silly me.
Blaine Gibson
I'm so trash person.
Chris Damaris
This is like a mediocre hall.
Gustavo Sorola
Out of this room, you see for the exits, of course. There's the corridor you came through. There's a tunnel to the east and what appears to be a water slide in the northwest.
Chris Damaris
Wow. Tunnel to the east. Water slides.
Natty Wonder
Okay.
Chris Damaris
Okay. Go up. The Goliaths that are there.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah.
Chris Damaris
Are they the ones we saw before? Are they new ones?
Gustavo Sorola
This is not the one you saw before?
Goldenrod
Oh, man.
Chris Damaris
I was hoping to. Sleepy Z. Hello.
Gustavo Sorola
One of them stops and looks at you and says, what? What are you doing here? Yes, are you here to take our gold?
Chris Damaris
Not at all. We are here to help you find your leader, Belder.
Gustavo Sorola
Belder? How do you know about Belder?
Chris Damaris
Well, because we're. You're here to help find them. That's how I know. I could not find someone that did not know who I was looking for. I was wondering, have you. Have you seen a frog that somewhat looks like me?
Gustavo Sorola
Why don't you make me a deception check to lead that off there, Chris?
Blaine Gibson
He uses somewhat very liberally, because, I mean, it's night and day. I mean, this other frog.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Wow.
Chris Damaris
10 out of 10.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah. You would remember this one.
Chris Damaris
Trust me. 11.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, no, I don't think you're here for Belder. I think you're here looking for that frog.
Chris Damaris
Well, the frog might know where Belder is, so that's. So I'm trying to find the frog. Too thin.
Gustavo Sorola
I love the circular logic from Gunther. Chris, make me a luck check. Let's call it a luck check. Roll me a D20.
Barbara Dunkelman
Another luck check.
Chris Damaris
Luck, luck.
Blaine Gibson
Also, if you met this frog, you
Gustavo Sorola
would want to be looking for them as well. Trust me.
Chris Damaris
Ooh, 17. Very lucky.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, looks like you, but way more handsome.
Chris Damaris
Exactly.
Barbara Dunkelman
Glad we're on the same page here.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah, yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
The last I heard, he was upstairs somewhere in the keep. He's staying away from our gold. As you would be wise to as well.
Chris Damaris
For sure.
Gustavo Sorola
And.
Chris Damaris
And do you know who took Beldar?
Gustavo Sorola
Well, no, we're. If we knew that, we'd be able to find Belder that's fair.
Barbara Dunkelman
That's a good point.
Gustavo Sorola
But you're here to find Belder, so you say wink.
Chris Damaris
Yeah, well, indirectly.
Gustavo Sorola
Yes, indirectly.
Chris Damaris
Anyone else have any questions for. What was your name?
Gustavo Sorola
The name's Rooster. What's your name?
Barbara Dunkelman
Chase.
Gustavo Sorola
The name's Rooster Cockfeather, which seems a little. We're gonna go with Rooster.
Chris Damaris
Yeah. Gunther.
Gustavo Sorola
Gunther. Friends of Sleepy Z. Oh, you know Sleepy Z?
Chris Damaris
Yeah. Oh, I say more like acquaintances.
Gustavo Sorola
What's he up to? Is he sleeping?
Chris Damaris
Probably.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, you know Sleepy Z. He gives you a fist. He puts out his fist for a fist bump.
Chris Damaris
I do it and it knocks.
Natty Wonder
Hey, what's. What's that for? Natty points to that. The fish hook.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, that's very important to us gold chasers, you see, that allows us to summon the goldenrod.
Barbara Dunkelman
Skull chasers.
Gustavo Sorola
You said gold chasers.
Chris Damaris
Gold chasers. I heard.
Natty Wonder
Isn't that like a. A weed?
Gustavo Sorola
Is it goldenrod?
Natty Wonder
Yeah, it's a weed.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, I thought gold. I thought you were asking gold chaser. No, no, no, no. That summons the goldenrod.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, that didn't answer my question. Is that a weed? Is that's a person's name?
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Oh.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, I see. I thought that was John making a comment that goldenrod was a weed. Totally misunderstood.
Unknown/Minor Speaker
You don't.
Gustavo Sorola
You don't know of the goldenrod?
Natty Wonder
Oh.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, you're in. You're in for a treat. That's a very important deity to us, God.
Natty Wonder
Just popping up everywhere like weeds.
Barbara Dunkelman
Yeah.
Gustavo Sorola
Not that you're looking at it. You can see this fishing rod, like the handle that's dangling from a fishing line that disappears into the ceiling. And the rod itself. Now that he says that, you realize the rod is made of solid gold
John Risinger
and it's going up.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah. The fishing line disappears into the ceiling. And occasionally, as you're looking at it, the rod whirs and zips and clicks and makes noises.
Chris Damaris
This is an actual physical thing that's in front of us.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, it's hanging from the ceiling.
Blaine Gibson
So there's a painting of it. And then there's also the physical rod itself.
Gustavo Sorola
So there are two different paintings. There is a painting of a sparse treasure vault hanging on the west wall, and there's a painting of the sleet sea leaning up against the east wall. The fishing rod handle is dangling from a fishing line that disappears into the ceiling. So there's a painting on the west wall, painting on the east wall.
Barbara Dunkelman
Got it.
Gustavo Sorola
Fishing rod dangling from the ceiling.
Natty Wonder
So, Rooster, what would happen if I pulled that rod?
Gustavo Sorola
Well, if you reel it in, you would summon the goldenrod.
Natty Wonder
Am I allowed to do that? Because I'm quite curious.
Gustavo Sorola
Well, that's up to you. Don't you know it would be wise to not wait the goldenrod's time?
Natty Wonder
Well, I'm not a time waster. That's very presumptuous of you to think that my time is a waste of their time.
Gustavo Sorola
Well, you all are wasting my time right now.
Natty Wonder
And we've reached the point where Gus
Blaine Gibson
bleeds into the character. You know, I think we should meet this here goldenrod character. We have a friend who is in the market for a new deity. It would be great.
Chris Damaris
I was gonna say maybe you guys meet this golden rod, and I'll just kind of hang back. I don't want to give the wrong impression.
Blaine Gibson
No, no, no, no. I have the sea drinker. Me and the sea drinker are like besties. Oh, my God, the best. So, like, I. I think you would be cool if, you know, God out there met a new deity.
Chris Damaris
I don't know if. I don't know if Wilder Flower would like that.
Blaine Gibson
Wilder Flower's not here to see anything.
Chris Damaris
They will see it. They know.
Blaine Gibson
No, they're fine. You're fine. Go ahead. Okay.
Natty Wonder
Okay, let's go.
Blaine Gibson
The goldenrod. Give me goldenrod.
Natty Wonder
Natty jumps up and starts reeling it in.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Rooster sees you start reeling it in, and he makes himself busy walking to and fro, doing various things in the room. You can begin reeling in the reel, and it's like you're reeling in a fish. It gives you a little bit of fight, but eventually you're able to get it in.
Natty Wonder
It's okay. I played a lot of Stardew Valley. I got this.
Blaine Gibson
Is there, like a meter that you have to press?
Unknown/Minor Speaker
Yeah.
Natty Wonder
Oh, a little treasure chest showed up. I gotta get that too.
Chris Damaris
Let me see.
Gustavo Sorola
Uh.
Blaine Gibson
Oh.
John Risinger
Every game's fishing mechanic is different. It's so funny.
Gustavo Sorola
It took me a long time to get the one on Stardew. Figured out I was terrible at it for a long time.
Barbara Dunkelman
Same.
Gustavo Sorola
You eventually reel it far enough, and out from the ceiling pops a tiny fish with its mouth hooked by a floating golden rod.
Barbara Dunkelman
Is that the golden.
Natty Wonder
Howdy.
Goldenrod
Why do you thumb in the. The golden rod?
Natty Wonder
I'm already a fan of you, I gotta say that.
Goldenrod
Well, of course you are.
Barbara Dunkelman
Wow. Are you talking like that cause you got the rod or like the. The hook in your mouth, or is that just the way you talk?
Goldenrod
I'm a little tongue tied at the moment.
Barbara Dunkelman
Need some help down there?
John Risinger
Could I unhook them from the hook.
Goldenrod
No, no.
Barbara Dunkelman
Oh.
Goldenrod
Thou shalt not touch the Golden Rod.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, it's chill. Hey, Goldenrod. My name is Tov. This is my friend. Have you met my friend Gunther?
Chris Damaris
No, I'm Nonther.
Blaine Gibson
No, his name's Gunther. Don't, don't.
Natty Wonder
He's.
Blaine Gibson
He's real shy. Goldenrod, you should meet my friend.
Goldenrod
Pleasure to meet you, Gunther. Nonther.
Chris Damaris
I don't care. It's not a pleasure to me, you, displeasure.
Goldenrod
You are not my patrons. Why do you summon the Golden Wrath?
Chris Damaris
That is for sure.
Gustavo Sorola
I guess the Golden Rod would look at you, natty. You have the Rod in your hands.
Natty Wonder
Just like waiting for these two kids. So you might have. You're probably familiar with. You seem to be one of the great gods, right? Like really important God. Yeah, I'm getting that vibe off of you. It's wafting off of you.
Goldenrod
None are greater than the Golden Rod. There you go.
Natty Wonder
There you go. We're in the presence of something amazing. Praise be to the Goldenrod.
Goldenrod
No.
Natty Wonder
So you ever met the steed?
Goldenrod
The silent steed?
Natty Wonder
The silent steed. Thank you very much.
Goldenrod
We run in similar circles.
Natty Wonder
Oh, do you? So in what way? That makes me curious.
Goldenrod
We are work acquaintances.
Natty Wonder
Well, I'm. That's my wife. And so I just wanted to kind of make that connection. So, you know, I'm not just a rando. You're right. I'm not your patron. But I ain't just. I ain't just anybody, you know? So we can maybe have a little
Goldenrod
bit of a conversation Regarding.
Natty Wonder
Do you know of the Wilder Shield? It's a very important artifact that's involved with the Wilderflower. A lesser God will say, why Dots?
Goldenrod
Hey, the Wilderfield. That seems like something you would talk to the Chimera about.
Natty Wonder
Is the Chimera. Another God demigod creature? Bartender.
Goldenrod
The Chimera is a creature you will find here in Chimera Keep.
Chris Damaris
I have a question. How many toes does Chimera have?
Goldenrod
Oh, one of those guys, huh? The Chimera has 17 toes.
Chris Damaris
17.
Barbara Dunkelman
Is he also purple by any chance?
Goldenrod
No, the Chimera is not purple.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay, why.
Natty Wonder
Why are you asking purple, Gunther?
Barbara Dunkelman
I don't. I don't think it's the guy you're looking for.
Natty Wonder
Oh, oh, oh, okay. And Chimera? What, up in their keep right now? Not down here in this mine area wandering around? Okay, okay, wait. Okay.
Blaine Gibson
The 11 toed person that Gunther's looking for is also purple.
Natty Wonder
I believe he said he was purple feet.
Blaine Gibson
Have we considered that they might have been stomping grapes right before the murders. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Natty Wonder
Okay, so why. Why does the Chimera. What's the association with the Chimera and the Wilder Shield? Cause you're not the first person who said that.
Goldenrod
I care not for the wildly field. I care for gold. Perhaps the Chimera who spends time in the keep will know more of what you see.
Natty Wonder
Okay, well, final question. You doing okay?
Goldenrod
Oh, you know, it's not too bad.
Natty Wonder
Yeah, it's been pretty good.
Goldenrod
You know, just hanging out and.
Natty Wonder
This isn't uncomfortable? This is like your thing, like, as a piercing that you're cool with.
Goldenrod
This is very goldenrod. Okay.
Natty Wonder
And you're the goldenrod as well?
Goldenrod
Yes.
Chris Damaris
Do you eat gold?
Goldenrod
No.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, okay.
John Risinger
Okay.
Natty Wonder
Well, Natty would, like, flick would, like, hold a gold coin. He's like, may I pay tribute? May I pay tribute.
Gustavo Sorola
Oh, that's interesting. So you want to.
Natty Wonder
I want to leave on good terms.
Gustavo Sorola
So you want to give a piece of gold to the golden rod?
Natty Wonder
Yeah, they said they lack gold.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay.
Barbara Dunkelman
Gold.
Natty Wonder
That's exactly where my brain went.
Blaine Gibson
Blaine,
Gustavo Sorola
how much are you giving?
Natty Wonder
I don't have a lot. See, I gave it all. 11 gold.
Gustavo Sorola
You give 11 gold. So you like Natty?
Natty Wonder
Natty, this is why we are always
Blaine Gibson
having to lend you money.
Chris Damaris
Saving up for marriage.
Blaine Gibson
Yeah. Think of the wedding.
Chris Damaris
Good Lord. You're inviting everyone.
Natty Wonder
You guys keep worrying about it. You do understand that my wife is the God of death. She's got resources.
Blaine Gibson
More like your sugar mama. I mean, come on.
Chris Damaris
Should we invite Rooster and Sleepy Z and Razzle Bear?
Natty Wonder
Oh, hey, Goldenrod, do you want to come to my wedding?
Blaine Gibson
Oh, my gosh.
Goldenrod
Oh, yes, Absolutely.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, great.
Barbara Dunkelman
She's inviting everybody now. I feel, like, special.
Chris Damaris
No, I dismiss.
Natty Wonder
Ignore them. Ignore them.
Blaine Gibson
Okay.
Chris Damaris
Bring a good gift.
Natty Wonder
And So I give 11 gold to the goldenrod. I say. I say it's not much, but it's all I have, so it's a lot to me.
Gustavo Sorola
Okay. Yeah. You present the gold, the 11 piece of gold, to the golden rod, and with a flick, he tosses it over to the painting of the vault.
Natty Wonder
Oh, this is like a Mario situation.
Gustavo Sorola
Kind of, yeah.
Chris Damaris
What's in the other painting? It's an ocean or something.
Gustavo Sorola
The Sleen sea. Sleen. Yeah. S apostrophe, L, E, E, N. Well,
Natty Wonder
Natty would turn around to her party and be like, is there anything else you guys need to say? Goldenrod, are we good here?
Barbara Dunkelman
I'm good.
Blaine Gibson
Gunther, anything to say?
Chris Damaris
Say not. It was a Dis by.
Blaine Gibson
We're gonna work on that.
John Risinger
Okay.
Blaine Gibson
Thank you, goldenrod.
Gustavo Sorola
All four of you make me a perception check.
Blaine Gibson
16.
Barbara Dunkelman
21.
Natty Wonder
Nah, 20 for a 23.
John Risinger
Wow.
Chris Damaris
5. I think Gunther's. Gunther's avoiding eye gaze because he doesn't want, like.
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, you're, like, looking down at your feet. Yeah. The golden rod kind of dives back into the ceiling and disappears. And as you, you know, you're looking at the golden rod disappearing back into the ceiling. Everyone except Gunther. There's some motion in the water slide that catches your attention. You see almost like a reflective image in the water, a beast of some
Natty Wonder
kind looking at you in the water at the bottom of the water slide or the water, like, rushing through the water slide.
Gustavo Sorola
The water rushing through the water slide.
John Risinger
Could I go up and take a closer look?
Gustavo Sorola
Yeah, you go up. And as you're approaching it, the beast begins, like, pacing back and forth, and then it slowly steps out from the water before you. And it appears to be like a large fusion of three different beasts made up of some kind of multifaceted glass.
Blaine Gibson
Oh, the chimera.
Gustavo Sorola
It's three headed, two winged, and one tailed. And it looks at you. Doug locks eyes with you and with all of its heads, lets out a cacophonous, hideous animal.
Goldenrod
Roar.
Barbara Dunkelman
Down, kitty.
Natty Wonder
Say hi back. That might just be the way they greet people.
Gustavo Sorola
All right, Find out if that's the way they greet people or not. On the next episode of Tales from the Stinky Dragon. I'm gonna think that's not.
Natty Wonder
Aw.
Gustavo Sorola
All right, thanks for listening, everybody. We'll see you all next time.

John Risinger
I guess Ocho does mean eight.
Natty Wonder
She's catching up from the last hour.
Blaine Gibson
What's funny? She has like really good memory. So you're like recalling everything we've said to them? Yeah, all the signs were there.
John Risinger
It's like Memento. It's all making sense.
Natty Wonder
Wait, I. I don't want to be that guy. But it's the opposite of Memento. Because he doesn't remember anything in that
John Risinger
movie except all the photos.
Natty Wonder
Those.
John Risinger
Yeah, they connect all the dots.
Natty Wonder
Did you watch Memento recently or something?
John Risinger
No, it's. It's probably been two decades since I've seen that movie.
Natty Wonder
I was going to say that's. That's an old movie.
Chris Damaris
Don't believe his lies.
Barbara Dunkelman
Don't believe his lies.
Gustavo Sorola

The episode blends high-energy D&D adventure with rapid-fire, irreverent humor and affectionate ribbing between both players and their characters. Banter often veers into pop culture references (Magic 8-ball, Stardew Valley, "New Boot Goofin'," Memento), creating a playful, accessible atmosphere that never loses the thread of the in-game stakes.
This episode is a can’t-miss for longtime fans and new listeners alike, balancing world lore, zany mechanics, and heartfelt goofs—an exemplar of Tales from the Stinky Dragon at its most imaginative and chaotic.
