Meet Bukky, a vibrant and compassionate Child Psychiatrist who brings joy, wisdom and heart to every space she steps into. She is the kind of doctor who lights up a room with her energy and makes you feel at ease just by being around. Her life’s work is rooted in purpose and she is deeply committed to improving the lives of children and their families, one little smile and one thoughtful conversation at a time. Her journey has not been without challenges. Dr Bukky moved to the United Kingdom in the heart of the COVID 19 pandemic, a time filled with uncertainty and fear. As one of the frontline healthcare workers, she experienced the virus herself. Despite the difficulties, she credits the strength and support of her close circle of friends and colleagues for helping her pull through. That experience only deepened her empathy and strengthened her resolve to make a meaningful impact in her field. Outside of her career, Dr Bukky is a devoted mother to two wonderful children and often speaks with admiration and love about her husband, who she considers her biggest supporter. She also holds her small but incredibly close group of friends dear, drawing joy and strength from those trusted relationships. While she is a highly skilled and respected doctor who has specialised in child psychiatry, there is another side to her that is just as passionate. Dr Bukky has a dream of hosting her own talk show. Her alter ego lives in that space... curious, bold and ready to spark real conversations. If she could do more, it would be to create a platform wherever stories are shared. Proudly Nigerian and thriving in the United Kingdom, Dr Bukky brings warmth, clarity and a refreshing sense of humour to everything she does. Tune in to hear her story. You will laugh, reflect and definitely leave inspired.

Inem was born in the early '90s in Nigeria. Her late father served as a diplomat, while her mother works in healthcare in the UK, and Inem describes her as incredibly hardworking and supportive. She opens up about her journey to the UK, having spent her childhood in various European countries. Inem shares the joy of motherhood, her fulfilling career, and the deep love she has for her husband. As someone who is naturally introverted, she admits that it became especially challenging to hold onto that part of herself during pregnancy, especially given how isolating life in the UK can feel. However, since November 2024, Inem has embraced openness, sharing her inspiring daily routines through her captivating blog, videos, and reels. She balances this seamlessly with her career and family life. She often speaks glowingly of her siblings, particularly her sister, and never misses a chance to praise her husband. My interview with Inem in the studio was both fun and enlightening. Inem was one of the key women who supported and inspired me throughout my journey to create the Talk and Play podcast. I wish her nothing but the best as we continue to grow our friendship.
