In Jesus name. Hey, I'm Terri Savelle Foy, your cheerleader of dreams. I want to show you how to raise your expectancy this year for God to pour his favor on Your life like never before. And you might think, favor. What does that mean? Well, the favor of God is so powerful. It brings promotion, protection, gives you preferential treatment. It causes you to be chosen when you sing the least likely person. God's favor produces supernatural increase and restoration. God's favor causes you to win battles you don't even have to fight because God is fighting them for you. It gives you advantages, causes you to be endorsed and to truly just stand out. The favor of God is so amazing. In fact, my year, my word for this year is that you will walk under the umbrella of God's favorite favor, will accelerate things. And you gotta admit, that's a cute little umbrella. It won't take as long to achieve your dream, to pay off your house, to start your business, to lose the weight. You might even say, like, well, I don't have the right connections. Yes, but you have the favor of God. You can't start a business. You don't have the money. Yes, but you have the favor of God. Or you're not qualified to start your own ministry or YouTube channel, but you have the favor of God. So this year, you will walk under the umbrella of God's favor. You might want to put that in the comments. In fact, I feel like there's a fuzz on my face. Sorry about that. But anyway, that's what I heard in prayer is walking under the umbrella of God's favor. And I kept thinking about a photo that I took of beautiful pink umbrellas in an ice cream shop. It caught my eye so much when I walked past it that I went back, got some ice cream, and then took a little video of it. Well, I heard this in prayer. The Lord said, my umbrella of favor will surround you, shield you, and shine on you. My umbrella of favor will protect you, promote you, and prefer you. I got it memorized. You will be extravagantly blessed, bold and braver, under my umbrella of favor. Then I heard this. Never wonder and never waver, pop open my umbrella of favor. So I wrote that down, and I speak it out every single day. Well, then it dawned on me. The number five means grace or favor. It's 2025. So our theme scripture is Psalm 5:12. Listen to this. It says, lord, you bless the righteous. You surround them with your favor as with a shield or umbrella. Now, I heard Michael Todd say this. He said, the obedience to believe this word is my job. The outcome is God's. He just wants to see faith. Well, this is all great and wonderful, but I want to show you how to raise Your expectations to believe this word and actually walk under God's favor in everything you do this year. So next year at this time, you are amazed at what God has done in your life personally. So here's the key. You will get in life exactly what you expect. Expectations are so powerful. You get what you focus on positively and negatively. You know, I heard a story about NASA when they were having a meeting with Dr. Wernher von Braun and his son, and they were discussing, you know, how they would take a spaceship and land a man safely on the moon. And all of a sudden, one scientist said, it's not possible. He said, I've studied it thoroughly. It is absolutely not possible. Well, Dr. Von Braun said, then you don't belong working with us. He said, you have to believe it's possible to discover how it can happen. Well, it's the same with favor. You have to believe it's possible, it's possible for you, and then expect it. You know, you've probably heard about Dr. Norman Vincent Peale. He wrote the book on the power of positive thinking, and he was known all over the world for that. Well, he tested the power of positive expectations. And what happened was he would bring a group of people to his church on New Year's Eve and ask them to write down their expectations for the new year. So they would put their expectations in an envelope not to be opened until the next New Year's Eve. Now, this is just one of his experiments I've shared before. But when the group gathered one year later, each member was shocked by the results. So here's one example. There was one guy who was devoted to astrology, and he had read that Capricorns could expect to lose their marriage partners and their jobs during the upcoming year. So he wrote that down. He expected the prediction to come true, and it did. He was divorced and without a job. Well, then there was a lady who expected a job promotion. That's what she wrote down. She was also a Capricorn, but didn't read that kind of stuff. She got her promotion. One guy from the group was absent. He had died during the year. When the group opened his envelope, his message simply said this. No member of my family has ever lived past 60 years old, so I expect to die next year. He did. Expectations work positively and negatively. See, you can't have a negative mind and expect positive results. Well, God's the one who said, your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Well, that word expect means to look with an outstretched neck. So think about, like when you Order Amazon Prime. You open the door and you're looking, you're expecting to see something at the front door, right? Well, that's how you need to be with the favor of God every day. You're expecting favor to go before you. Well, let me tell you a story about a pastor who lived in a town that was experiencing a devastating drought. No rain whatsoever. So they're losing their crops. The farmers were at this huge loss. And the pastor just finally said, okay, we got to go to God in prayer about this as a church. He said, let's meet tonight in the town square. Join hands in prayer that this drought is coming to an end. In Jesus name. He said, let's bring symbols of our faith to show God that we're believing for this rain to come, and we're going to join in prayer. So they did. So people brought Bibles and T shirts with Christian sayings on them. Some of them brought crosses. They joined hands at the town square and they began praying. Well, all of a sudden, the clouds increased, the thunder struck and the rain came down. And I mean, it started pouring rain from the sky. So they're shouting and jumping and just praising God. All of a sudden, this one little girl, her faith stood out beyond anybody else's. She simply just popped open her little yellow umbrella. What did Jesus say? Have the faith of a little child. It's not difficult if you're believing for rain, bring an umbrella, right? Well, if you're believing for favor, it requires a few things. So job 2228 says this. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established unto you. The next part says, and the light of God's favor, favor will shine upon your ways. Why will God's favor shine on you? Because you're decreeing it. See, there's a connection between declaring favor and experiencing favor. In other words, God's favor is available, but you have to declare it. You have to call on it. Well, I can't help but think of my little dog that I named Pepe la Joie. He was very unique. He looked exactly like this stuffed animal. And if I wanted him to come, I had to call for him. He wouldn't just normally just come on his own. Well, I taught Pepe French, since he has a French name. I would say, au pied, Pepe la Joie. And he would come. Now, the crazy thing is, my husband Rodney would call him, and he would look right at Rodney and walk to me every time. And Rodney would get so mad, he'd go, whatever, punk. He would just Sit there and not move until we called him. Well, do you know favor works the same way? You have to call on the favor of God, declare it every day, expect it. So God's favor is activated by your confession. Now this is the most important thing you can do to experience God's favor. So every morning when I open up my journal to spend time in prayer, I get this list out, I put my name in the blank lines and I just speak them out every day. Again, God's favor is activated by your confession. This is the most important thing you can do to experience God's favor. And you know what happens? You start looking for favor. You start anticipating it and consequently experiencing it. You know, I heard someone say that humans are the only life form that will settle for doing less than they can. They said every other life form strives to their maximum capacity. For example, how tall will a tree grow? Answer. As tall as it can. But mentally, we have a choice to grow as much as we can. And most people stop growing because they have a choice. It's interesting, isn't it? So you have a choice to walk in as much favor as you want. It's all connected to what you decree out of your mouth. Listen to this. When you declare God's favor, it's going to start happening. The moment you declare favor, things start changing. Speak it continually, every single day. Expect doors to open. Expect phone calls from influential people. Declare in the name of Jesus. Starting today, I see myself the way God sees me.
