Welcome to the show that empowers you to choose your own adventure in motherhood! Your host, Cat Caldwell Myers, certified coach and CEO of The Adventure Paradox, shares minisodes about her work with animals, children, and podcasting itself. When we aren't dropping minisodes, we deliver life changing interviews with special guests.
Each conversation will bring you ever closer to the adventure that is seeking you, inside your soul, regardless of your current circumstances (the paradox). Many have forgotten that the adventure is NOW - wherever we are, whatever is happening, and whoever we do it with, as much as it is all that we have done and all that we will do. Animals and nature help us do this, as do connecting with teachers and the principles of adventure.
We focus on goals and the realities that often keep us from attaining them, learning to master both in the fullness of "THE Adventure Paradox." Entrepreneurial Mothers, Caretakers and Women who crave elevated relationships and love animals and nature, will especially resonate with our message, community and offerings.
We offer writing and podcasting services to teach professionals how to get in to the top 3% of podcasts, publish a bestseller, find their voice and launch their purpose from anywhere in the world. Please add our show to your library and share a review screenshot with us for a free gift!

What if the thing meant for you arrives exactly when you’re ready to receive it?This week, I’m joined in the studio by Lillie Lauterbach, founder of Jackson Hole Beadwork, creator of breathtaking hand-beaded statement pieces, and someone who reminds us that creativity has a way of finding us at exactly the right moment.Lillie shares the winding path that brought her here, from years working as a massage therapist, solo adventures through India and Nepal, deep spiritual practice, heartbreak, reinvention, and eventually discovering beadwork during a season that changed everything. We talk about the paradox of creating beauty: how discipline and surrender live side by side, how inner transformation often becomes visible in unexpected ways, and why following curiosity can sometimes lead you home to yourself. We also explore:Finding love later than expected and trusting divine timingHow travel, spirituality, and stillness shaped Lillie’s creative voiceTurning a self-taught skill into a thriving luxury brandNavigating imposter syndrome and owning your valueWhy beauty can be a reflection of what’s happening withinBuilding a life that feels deeply aligned, one small choice at a timeThis conversation is a reminder that the adventure isn’t always loud. Sometimes it begins quietly, with a thread, an idea, or the courage to trust what keeps calling you.Connect with Lillie:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jhbeadwork/Website: https://jhbeadwork.com/If this episode spoke to you, share it with someone who needs the reminder that it’s never too late to begin again.Adventure onI’ve also launched a new podcast called Year Of The Horse Adventure Coach. There are conversations that deepen the way we relate to our horses, and this was absolutely one of them.As someone who lives alongside horses every day, I’m always curious about the space where intuition, experience, and science meet. Sitting down with neuroscientist and horse trainer Janet Jones felt like stepping further into that understanding.Janet is the author of the bestselling Horse Brain, Human Brain, a book that genuinely transformed the way I think about horse behavior, trust, fear, training, and the horse-human connection. In this conversation, we explore insights from her upcoming book, A Horse's World, available now for pre-order before its June 23 release. We talk about what’s actually happening when horses snort or lick and chew, how horses experience the world through smell, why lighting and vision matter more than most riders realize, and the neuroscience behind helping horses feel safe in new environments. One part that especially stayed with me was Janet describing a new horse as feeling like “a tourist in a foreign country.” As I’ve been integrating a new mare into my own herd, that perspective felt incredibly grounding and compassionate. We also explore: • Rewarding relaxation instead of only correcting behavior • Predator brains vs. prey brains • Wild horses vs. horses living in the wild • Anthropomorphism in horsemanship • Building trust through consistency, calmness, and understandingThis conversation felt less like learning “about” horses and more like remembering to see the world a little more through their eyes.Pre-order: A Horse's WorldFollow Janet:WebsiteFacebookInstagramLearn more about Horse Brain, Human BrainFollow Little Brown and CompanySend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? Some conversations slow time. They remind us that the adventure is not something we chase, but something we notice. Sitting with Kelly Wendorf felt like stepping back into that remembering.Kelly is the founding CEO of EQUUS Inspired, a women run leadership and transformation organization rooted in nature based wisdom and horse human connection. Raised among archeological digs, Kelly shares how horses became her teachers in leadership, presence, and trust. We talk about power and partnership, the responsibility of working with horses with reverence, and why this moment in history is quietly asking us to choose love over fear.In this episode we explore • What thriving feels like beyond success • How horses guide us back to presence • Relationship over control • Listening as a form of leadershipAs you listen, notice where something softens. That may be where the next part of your adventure begins.Links and resources mentioned Website http://www.equusinspired.com Unbridled Retreats 2026 https://www.equusinspired.com/unbridled-rewilding-feminine-agency-2 Book Flying Lead Change https://www.equusinspired.com/flc The Wisdom of Thriving https://www.equusinspired.com/wisdom-of-thrivingHow to Lead a Transformative Life: https://www.equusinspired.com/how-to-lead-a-transformative-life | Use code EQUUS100KW for 100% offSend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? The adventure is not somewhere out there. It is in the choices you are making right now.In this conversation, I sit with Krystal Eicher and Wendy Guth, co-founders of Serendipitous Rebel, who help women build businesses that support the life they actually want to live. Their path moved through unexpected pivots, partnership changes, and moments that asked them to slow down and listen more deeply. We explore what happens when you stop chasing what looks successful and start choosing what feels aligned. The kind of work that honors your real life, your relationships, and your capacity.Reflections to sit with:• The adventure is here, not someday• Success can shift as you grow• Alignment often comes from letting go, not adding more• You are allowed to build a life and business that work togetherMaybe the question is not what you need to achieve next.Maybe it is what you are ready to come home to.Learn more about Krystal and Wendy:https://serendipitousrebel.comhttps://www.instagram.com/serendipitousrebelhttps://serendipitousrebel.com/podcasthttps://savourmastermind.com/personal-invitehttps://serendipitousrebel.com/breakup-with-blueprintsSend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? Sometimes the adventure we are seeking is the courage to finally turn inward and face the parts of ourselves we’ve been avoiding. In this honest and deeply grounding conversation, I sit down with Kaira Pechtl, somatic psychotherapy practitioner and communication coach, to explore trauma healing, codependency, emotional resilience, and authentic connection. We talk about childhood wounds, nervous system regulation, emotional triggers, relationships, boundaries, and why true healing starts with connection to self. We also explore the role of community, vulnerability, animals, and nature in helping us reconnect to presence and truth. If you’ve ever felt emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or exhausted from carrying everyone else’s needs, this episode is for you.In this episode, we explore:Somatic therapy and trauma healingCodependency and emotional maturityNervous system regulation and triggersHealthy communication and relationshipsBoundaries, self trust, and vulnerabilityWomen’s healing and collective connection“The suffering we run from because we are unwilling to face the truth of life, and the suffering that comes when we're willing to stop running from the sorrows and difficulties of the world. What if asking for help is only the beginning? In this mini-sode, I’m reflecting on the adventure of actually receiving support when it shows up. From travel and horses to mental health, wellness, and coming home after some big experiences lately, this episode is a reminder that we are not meant to carry everything alone.I share stories from recent travels to the United Kingdom, competing in a speaking competition, discovering new wellness tools, and preparing for the Grand Butterfly March in Jackson Hole.Maybe the real paradox is this: sometimes the bravest thing we can do is let ourselves be supported.Send us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? There are moments when things are not working, when effort feels heavy and nothing is clicking. And then something shifts. Not outside of you, but within you. This conversation is a reminder that the adventure is not in forcing results, but in how we choose to show up, especially on the hard days.I sat down with Dave Ribble and Gaye Ribble, partners in life and business, to talk about connection, intuition, and building something meaningful together. Dave, author of The Way of the Conscientious Connector and founder of Standout Mastery, shares how one unexpected moment changed the way he approached networking and business forever. Gaye, CEO of Standout Marketing and Strategies, brings a grounded and intuitive perspective on partnership, energy, and growth. Their story is about love, trust, and choosing a different way when the old way no longer works. What stayed with me:Shift from getting to givingConnection grows through curiosity and presenceConfidence is built through practice, not pressureEnergy matters more than strategySupport and respect create lasting relationshipsWhat would change if you focused on helping just one person today?Learn more about Dave and Gaye:Website: https://www.theribbleeffect.com/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dave-ribble-794aa7/Dave Ribble FacebookGaye Ribble FacebookStandout Marketing Strategy FacebookTo know more about StandOut Mastery email Dave at: Dave@DaveRibble.comSend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? Sometimes the strongest connection happens when we unplug from everything else.In this minisode, I reflect on what I call the “original Wi Fi connection” which is the deep soul connection we feel through horses, nature, prayer, presence, and trusting something greater than ourselves. From losing my phone for an entire day to watching my TEDx talk unexpectedly reach thousands of people, I share honest reflections on mental health, entrepreneurship, grief, healing, and learning to come back to what truly matters. This episode is a reminder that the adventure is happening right now. In the simple moments. In the hard seasons. In the connection we create with ourselves, each other, and the world around us.In this episode:The “original Wi Fi connection” and spiritual presenceHorses, healing, and nervous system regulationMental health, grief, and asking for supportLetting go of productivity and reconnecting with simplicityWhy real connection matters more than constant communication🎥 Watch How Horses Promote Connection TEDx TalkSend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner? What happens when we stop trying to control and start choosing connection? This episode was originally recorded as part of the Spiritual Horse Seekers Summit (April 7–17), a gathering centered on deepening our relationship with horses and ourselves. While the summit has passed, this conversation stands on its own as a powerful reflection on trust, presence, and a different way of being with horses. In this episode, I sit down with Fred Bueltmann of the Red Horse Center. What began as an unexpected path, moving into a home that came with a horse, grew into a life devoted to healing, leadership, and connection through horses.Fred shares the story of Blackjack, a horse who changed everything. Through that relationship, he was guided toward a way of being rooted in trust, consent, and willingness rather than control. We talk about the quiet, wordless language horses live in, where energy, presence, and honesty shape connection. Through a trauma-informed lens, Fred offers a deeper look at how horses support human healing, while also honoring their own experiences and needs. This conversation invites you to slow down, listen differently, and consider what becomes possible when connection comes first.Takeaways: Horses invite us into a deeper, wordless awareness Trust and safety are built through presence, not control Healing with horses is shared, not one-sided True connection begins with consent and willingness Horses guide us back to a more honest way of beingWhat might shift if you allowed yourself to listen, not with words, but with your whole being?Explore Spiritual Horse Seekers Summit: https://www.theadventureparadox.com/horseseekerLearn more about Fred: Red Horse Center Arenas for Change Horses for Mental HealthInstagram FacebookSend us Fan Mail Support the show✨ Join the Spiritual Horse Seeker Summit👉 Go here to HEAR my Tedx talk ✨ Order Wings of Purpose — now available on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GYL381CS👉 Book Launch Party, June 27th in Jackson Hole, WY: https://butterflymarch.com/🔥 Ever thought about how you can incorporate your love of horses in to your work as a mom, coach, teacher, facilitator or business owner?
