A Digital Course, an AI Bot, and a Smart Two-Offer Strategy That Works

A
Hey there. Welcome to the Amy Porterfield Show.
B
Don't try to think of a model of intelligence that's just going to regurgitate information somewhere in your course. You need to think of a model of intelligence that applies your expertise and gives that extra edge that you can train it on based on your own expertise.
A
Hey, before we get started, if you're currently serving clients, I don't have to tell you that trading hours for dollars is the fast track to burnout. You feel it. But throwing it all out and starting from scratch with the digital course isn't going to save you either. Instead, why not use the momentum from your client services to make course creation simpler? I've put together a simple, short free video training called how to Move From Client Work into Core Sales Without Starting over in it. I'm going to give you the three foundations every best selling course is built on so that you know exactly how to turn what your current clients love into what your future customers will buy. You can watch it for free@amiporterfield.com move. That's amyporterfield.com move M O V E okay, let's jump into today's episode. I have an older sister. She's two years older and she is so, so bossy. Ask her. She'll even tell you that she's bossy. We couldn't be more different. She married her high school sweetheart. I didn't get married till I was 30. She's still in the town that we grew up in. I've been gone for many, many, many years. She has two kids. I have a stepson. So we are very different, but love each other very much. And we have one thing in common. Like literally, I'm telling you, there is one thing that we have in common the most, and that is that we both are teachers now. We're teachers in very different settings. She is a first grade teacher and has been for many, many years, since the day she got out of college. And obviously I teach in a different setting, but we both teach. And again, while our classrooms look totally different, there's something we both get lit up about in exactly the same way. It's that moment when a student takes what you've taught them and they run with it, they make it their own, they get creative and they do something even bigger than you imagined. So if you've ever taught in any capacity, and most of my audience has, you know exactly the kind of moment I'm talking about, it's like the best feeling when you see them just crushing it and Today's guest, Becca Harpain, gave me one of those moments. She's a student of mine from Digital Course Academy who used my program to create her course, which is called beyond the Basics, Advanced CSS for Squarespace. And then she took it to the next level. She's built something so smart and creative to support a different subset of her audience. It's a custom AI tool and it addresses a need for from an audience that her course wasn't supporting. So now she's got two different streams of revenue coming in. Her strategy is creative, it's original, and I know it's going to spark all kinds of ideas for how you can level up your offers. So if you've been curious about using AI in the way that feels personal and powerful and actually drives profit, well, my friend, this episode is for you. Anytime I could get a Digital Course Academy student on my show, I am just so, so excited to dive into all things courses and in this case, your AI bot, that came after your course. So we're going to talk about all of that. But before we do, tell everybody, what do you do in your business?
B
I teach people how to create and customize Squarespace websites, specifically Squarespace websites. And I do that by sharing little code snippets.
A
Okay, little code snippets. And before you had a course, what did your business look like and why did you decide to create a course?
B
Before I had a course, I was an unsuccessful website designer. I struggled to find clients. I had a lot of creative ideas I wanted to share, but didn't have a lot of clients, really eager to start working with me. So I decided to start sharing the code I had created for my clients online in the hopes of maybe drumming up some business, finding a partnership with another developer who liked my code style, any creative way to find a new source of revenue for my business. And I very quickly learned how many Squarespace users wanted to know what I knew about code. So I started teaching.
A
Okay, so you started teaching and then when did you decide, you know what? I think I need a course. And why did you create a course?
B
I had one digital product, one PDF. It was a very messy Google Doc that I still laugh every time I open it up once a year just to see how far I've come. This very messy Google Doc, I put it out there for $34.99 and it was amazing and really well received by my community. People loved these codes, but they still didn't understand how to do more than just copy and paste them. And that was the Aha. Moment of. Wait a second. I can teach them not only how to use these codes, but how to make their own. And that was when I decided to create a digital course.
A
Gotcha. Okay, so you have this digital course, so you've had it for a few years, and then more recently, you decided to create an AI bot. So I want to talk about that. So in my program, I teach you how to validate your course idea and really listen to your audience so that you create an offer that that stands out and people want to buy. Well, you took that to heart. Even more so because you identified a real need with your audience, and you created something completely unique to meet that need. It's a custom GPT called Custom Cody. So can you walk us through what it is, what inspired you to build it, and how it works alongside your course?
B
I am so happy to talk about this. AI just absolutely lights me up right now. This is one of my favorite topics, so. So Custom Kodi was a project that I honestly did not even envision creating until about a month before it was born. I was definitely in the bandwagon of nervous about AI. I was very nervous that it was going to replace me. I even made a small series on YouTube called ChatGPT vs Me where I would ask ChatGPT code questions and then point out where it was wrong. I, like, tried to prove that I was smarter than the robot. I would do everything I could because I was so afraid it was going to take my job. And then I had a very interesting conversation at a community event with my friend Promise, and she was asking a question of how do I become more innovative? And it kind of sparked a light bulb moment for me, and I thought, okay, instead of AI replacing me, how can I make AI rely on me? What information do I have that I can amplify with AI? All of these ways that I considered myself smarter than the bot. With those quick answers, I very quickly realized I could train AI on all of the course content I created. I could make it a student of my course, and then it could answer questions on the fly the same way that I would. So I got to work, and it turned into something incredible, and I launched it to my community. Amy. I had over 600 people sign up in the first two weeks. It was phenomenal, and it's been growing ever since.
A
Okay, that's incredible. How much do you charge for it?
B
I only charge $30 lifetime access. AI is not perfect.
A
Right, Right. Yeah. Talk to me how you came up with that.
B
Yeah. So AI, it's not perfect. It makes mistakes. It likes to make things up. And I knew that I would need to be refining it over time. I knew that my audience would need to be patient with the answers and because it wouldn't be right all of the time, but it would be right most of the time. And I didn't feel right charging a large amount of money for something that wasn't just perfect. I'm too much of a perfectionist for that. But I also have a really hard time with the constant subscription fees that we as online business owners have to pay. I come from way back in the days of the 90s where you buy a software program once and you're done, you don't have to buy it again.
A
So a little bit of my beautiful day.
B
Yeah, it was a little bit of my own subscription bias there. I didn't want to rope people into that. But also the concept of ChatGPT being $25 a month at least at the time of recording this, $25 a month for everything that it does, selling the smaller subset for a similar price or even more expensive also didn't sound right. But the truth was, at the end of the day, I wanted to create this bot that could help as many people as possible. And some $30 to get the one answer that you need. Some sounded like a reasonable amount to me. So that's why I went with that price point and lifetime access, which I learned from you.
A
I love that you did what feels right for you. You know, there's all these different frameworks and blueprints to come up with pricing for different things. And inside Digital Course Academy, I talk about how to price your course and all the frameworks you can use to figure it out. But at the end of the day, it's what feels good for you and what feels right for your business. So I'm really glad that you. You absolutely ran with that. Now I want to talk about how you created it, but before I get into that, so if someone buys this, one of my questions earlier, but when we were off camera was, does this go into your course? And in your case, it doesn't. So how does this tool fit into your business versus your digital course?
B
This tool really helps bridge the gap between the people that want an answer and want to be an expert. When people need that expert level understanding of creating their own codes, writing their own snippets, modifying things, minifying things. There's so many nerd terms I can throw at you right now, Amy. Those folks really need to have that almost one on One individual on demand attention to get that education. They're going to need to watch that lesson a few times to wrap their heads around it. It's a complicated process and so many Squarespace users out there just want to change one thing. They just want to round the corner of all of their images or one of my favorite codes, change the color of a button on a hover. They don't need to take a course to learn how to create that code if they can, just ask AI to do it for them.
A
Okay, this is fantastic. You have a digital course for a specific ideal customer avatar. You have an AI bot for a different avatar. These are not the same avatars. They're not wanting the same thing. And, and I think that is brilliant. Those of you listening, you could absolutely create a bot inside of your course. You could use it as a bonus, as a VIP level, whatever that might be, but it might be totally separate as well, which is what Becca's doing. So, Becca, I want to talk to you about kind of how you created this, because one of the most powerful things about what you created is that it doesn't just deliver answers.
B
It.
A
It reflects your way of thinking and your specific point of view about building a Squarespace site. One thing that I've said over and over again is what AI does not have is a point of view. It doesn't know the little nuances of why I would email on a Tuesday versus a Wednesday. And it doesn't know that if you do this one little line in an email, you'll get more people to sign up for your webinar. And I know that because I've done it and I've had my students do it over and over again.
B
So.
A
So that point of view is so incredibly important in those nuances that you have have now been built into this bot. So can you walk us through a little bit of detail about how you actually built custom Cody? Like, what did you upload? What steps did you take to make sure it captured your voice and your expertise and your point of view and all the little nuances that your audience really needs?
B
You hit the nail on the head there, Amy, because it's about intelligence, not expertise. The answer, these bots don't have the expertise that we do, but they have the intelligence to understand it when we give it the right information. So this is absolutely a critical part of creating this. I originally thought I could just upload transcripts from my course and call it a day, but that wasn't the case. I needed to upload that information yes. And I needed to upload my code database. Absolutely. But I also needed to upload the individual things that I understood, but a bot wouldn't. The process of making a decision, the process of taking a question and understanding what they mean by this term versus this term. Where it should look first and where it should look second. Creating an actual process of how to answer and analyze a question was a really important part of making sure that this bot would work. I learned that over time. It definitely didn't happen immediately. But I'm very lucky, Amy. I have a large community on my YouTube channel, and they post anywhere from two to 20 comments a day. Day. So I had a plethora of questions from people that would write in a way that they would when they were talking to a GPT, not in the way that I would. So I was able to find different terminology and different ways of phrasing things that I could train this AI to understand. So that decision making process was a huge part of establishing the protocol it needed to follow to properly answer questions. And that's something I never would have expected when I first got started with this project.
A
Yeah. So good. Okay, great. So I want everyone to hear it wasn't just Becca uploading a bunch of transcripts. Like, you really did the work to make sure that it was going to deliver information in your style and again, with your expertise. I love that difference between, what did you say? Intelligence and expertise. Is that how you said it?
B
Exactly. Exactly. Artificial intelligence can do part of the work, but we need to teach it the expertise that we know.
A
Oh, so true. I think one of the things I'm most excited about to bring to this round of Digital Course Academy when we launch in September, is a suite of custom AI tools that my team and I have created. So it's not to replace what my students do best, but to help them improve and enhance their courses in ways that truly stand out. Based on my own proprietary information of 16 years, that that is different than just typing into a chat box. And so when you're thinking about creating your bot, I want you all to think of what is proprietary to me. What is my point of view? What are the little nuances that only I know? Like, let me give you a quick example. I did a qu. A little test yesterday where one of my students was asking me, amy, you said that I should do a bootcamp for 37. But I'm curious, why not do it for 47? Because in the past, I've sold this thing for $47. So I took this question and I put it into Chat GPT and it told all the reasons why she should do it for $37. 37 and 47 are tiny little nuances and if she'd sold something for 47 already, I would never have her go backwards. But Chat GPT does not know why I would make that decision, knowing how boot camps work, how people come into her community, all this stuff. So you just have to be so careful with it. But if you want to serve your students with your proprietary information, a bot is such a cool way to do it. I mean, I love that you have done this. I know. I'm talking about digital course Academy a lot. It's coming up very soon. Do you want to get on the wait list? Amyporterfield.com/ford/dca you'll be the first to know of all the limited time bonuses that come out on day one. So you can go check it out. AV porterfield.com forward/d DCA but the reason I bring this up is because, Becca, you've done such a beautiful job elevating your student experience with Custom Cody. And can we take a moment for the name? It's so freaking good for the record.
B
Thank you. I'm very proud of it. For anyone listening, it's C O D E Y. Gotta be Cody.
A
That's right. So Custom C O D E Y. And I'm going to make sure you all get some links at the end because if you want to check it out, I want to make sure you can see it. So I would love to hear what is the most important piece of advice that you would give a course creator who is thinking about maybe adding a custom GPT or some kind of AI tool to enhance the transformation their course delivers. So I know you did it a little different, but what advice would you give a course creator around this?
B
That's a great question. I think I actually have two pieces of advice if we could do that. The first would definitely be going back to the original thought shift that I had where instead of thinking about how AI can replace you, think about how AI can rely on the information that you have. So don't try to think of a model of intelligence that's just going to regurgitate information somewhere in your course. You need to think of a model of intelligence that applies your expertise and gives that extra edge that you can train it on based on your own expertise. That's a really, really important part. But the other thing to be really upfront about, which I recommend anyone considering creating a public facing GPT or any version of an AI is to be completely transparent that it will not always be accurate. As much as we try, it will make things up sometimes. And a little side note on that as well. I spend every weekend, at least two to three hours on a Saturday or a Sunday continuing to work with Custom Cody to make it better. It doesn't get everything right. Things change in the Squarespace universe very often, and sometimes people will come up with new terms, and I need to train Cody on what these new terms mean. I'll hear a new slang word that I wouldn't use before, and I need to make sure Custom Cody understands what that word means, just in case it's ever used in a chat. So AIs are never one and done, and they're not always accurate. So you need to be upfront and honest about that.
A
Hey, real quick, before we continue, a quick word about our sponsor. I've got to tell you about a really cool model that I'm a little bit obsessed with right now. So it's called the Working Genius model, and I'm telling you it's going to transform your work, your team, and your life. And really, it will do so by leveraging your natural gifts. So it's an assessment that I recently took. It takes like 10 minutes, and the results you can apply immediately. You're going to discover how to increase joy and energy at work by understanding what your geniuses are. And it kind of blew my mind because I thought, this makes sense why I do some things and I hate doing them. And then I do some other things and it fully lights me up. And it actually gave me permission to stop doing the things that totally drain me because now I understand why they drain me. So it's really good. So essentially, you're going to get more done in less time with more energy and joy? Yes, please. Right. So you can get 20% off a 25 working genius assessment if you go to Working genius. Com and just enter the code Marketing at checkout. So you're going to get 20% off. It's 25 bucks. It's worth every penny, but you'll get a discount. Go to workinggenius.com and enter the promo code Marketing at checkout. Okay, let's get back to the episode. I maybe should know this answer already, but I don't, so I'm not going to pretend I do. But you might have mentioned this earlier, but if not, do you get to see because you own Custom Cody, do you get to see everything people type into the chat?
B
I Do not. Because of the way that I build it. To be honest with you, Amy, I totally thought I did. I originally started my feedback loop asking custom Cody, like, hey, what were some of the questions you struggled with? What was the main theme this week? Tell me more about the chats you help people with. And then I realized it was giving me feedback on my own chats. It was completely independent of what everyone else was using. So I was just getting feedback on information I already knew. I felt very silly when I figured that out.
A
I think we all have to go through those growing pains, like, there's so much we don't know. So I. I'm glad I asked the question. I'm glad you admitted that. So everyone knows, like, we're learning here.
B
Yes, yes. And to be clear, there are so many different programs that exist now to help you build your own AI. The version that I went with is the version through ChatGPT where I can build a custom GPT. Now, I did go down the rabbit hole in the very beginning of trying to develop my own. I did go to the OpenAI software platform. I hired a person off of Upwork to translate all my data to a JSON file and make prompt completion. And I looked into buying a server and tracking the thumbs up and thumbs down feedback and building this whole software program. And I spent a few months trying to develop it at this high level. And then I very quickly realized after those few months that was not the way to make it affordable and deployable to my community. I was stopping myself from giving them the information that they could have had access to, from getting them the help that they needed, because I was trying to literally build a software program that I didn't need to build. So I went the easy route. And when ChatGPT said, okay, anybody with a free account can access a custom GPT, I realized this is my moment. Make it a custom GPT. Get it out there on that platform. It's not going to have all the bells and whistles, but it'll be affordable and it'll be usable. So that's why I went that route. Yeah.
A
Okay. I love this. Another thing Becca, you've done is you got scrappy. You didn't sit around for months and months saying, like, I'm not sure how to do this. I've never done this before. You. You just got in there and figured it out, and you can always do another iteration. You could always make something better. But shipping it is so important. So that's part of your success, and I love that. Okay. So let's talk about how you sold it. So was it on a platform? How did you deliver it? What did that look like?
B
Trying to create that minimum viable product, to just get it out to my community. I ended up creating a digital product. And here's how this actually worked. I. I built a page in Notion and I set the page to be able to share with anybody in the link that has the link. And inside Notion, I included how to access Custom Kodi, a little note about how to add it to your sidebar, some troubleshooting tips for how to have the best chat, what to do if you don't, and a little option for how to send me feedback about the conversations that you're having. And I literally just sold a link to this Notion dashboard so I could deploy it as fast as possible.
A
That's fantastic. Again, I love getting scrappy. So that's perfect. Now, another way you could do it, and this is something that we are going to do with Digital Course Academy, is use a tool called Formwise AI. So F O R M W I S E Formwise AI and essentially you can upload your custom GPTs into this tool and either direct your students there or what is kind of cool, you can, you can sell it from this site as well. So there's lots of options. I'm sure there's going to be 10 more that pop up by the time this episode gets out there. So just wanted to mention there's. There's some different ways that you can do this.
B
I'm absolutely going to look into that. Amy, that sounds awesome. Yeah, awesome. Because there's one other caveat to how I sell it this way that I definitely think doing it this fast way, it helped to get it out to my community quickly. But it was not necessarily the best route to go. And a lot of people have asked me about this is how do I stop people from sharing that link? How do I stop people from just getting access to Cody? And the truth is, I can't. I have to trust my audience. But it's the same as that PDF I started my business with. I had to trust that they weren't just going to forward that PDF to their other Squarespace friend. I have to trust that there might be some shady people out there, but the majority of my audience who invest their, their money into getting this product will keep it to themselves and be honest about who they share it with. But I'm absolutely going to look into form wise because I think that might be the next iteration. Custom Cody 2.0 yes, exactly.
A
I love that. But again, you got it out there where most people will just think about it and never do it. So I'm all for, for your strategy of making things happen quickly and look what it's done. I mean, it's been incredibly successful for you. So with that along the same vein of selling it, let's talk about marketing it. Because your audience might be a little bit different, your audience might be a little bit more techy, I don't know. But sometimes when you talk about AI to an audience that's not using custom GPTs yet, it could feel really overwhelming to them. So how were you talking about Custom Kody in your messaging? What kind of languaging or positioning have you found that really resonates? Or are you going to tell me, like, Amy, my audience is super tech savvy, so I didn't need to do that.
B
You know, you think that they would be. But I'll be honest, I still get pushback from people saying, oh, I'm never going to use AI. AI is not for my business. AI is the worst. They're going to steal my clients and all that kind of stuff. And every time I have one of those conversations, I definitely see where they're coming from. I felt really, I felt threatened by AI initially when it came out and I realized it could code. But I like to remind myself that that is definitely the attitude that people had when cars were first invented. And there are plenty of people out there that would still be in and buggy if they could. And that's exactly where we're at with AI. This is the future of the way things are working, at least the foreseeable future for the next few years. And I needed to find a way to integrate it into what we do. And so the early adopters are the ones that I've definitely working with when it comes to Custom Cody. But marketing it to them, showing how it works, has really been the catalyst of what's caused such an excitement about it in my community. It's really been what's helped me sell it. Now the content I share every single Week is a YouTube video where I teach one small piece of code how to customize one tiny thing about your Squarespace website. And at the end of all of my videos since I launched Custom Kodi is a little preview of what it's like to chat with Custom Cody to let them know that there is an AI out there that knows Squarespace, knows it better than ChatGPT, and can answer their questions 24 7. And having that little commercial at the end of all of my videos has been really key in getting it out to my audience.
A
Oh, fantastic. And to back it up really quick, how much do you charge for your digital course?
B
My digital course is only $247. And again, lifetime access, like all of my products.
A
Great. So you have 2:47 where when you market that and you get the right audience in there, you could make some great money with that. And you have, and then you have this $30 one time fee for, for your chatbot and that's to a different audience. So I want, I want my audience to really hear, you know, there's always a place for a course in your business, but it might be for a specific group that's willing to pay more money to learn your expertise and, and benefit from all of your experience. But there might be another audience that just wants something different and it's a whole lot less expensive. Expensive. But in her case it's a different audience. And I just think that's really interesting because I have a lot of my students say, but Amy, I have two different audiences. And so there might be a world where a course is great for one and a something like an AI tool is great for the other. Or you might want to create a digital course with an AI tool to increase the perceived value charge more and also entice people to want to get into that course. So there's so many different ways you can do it. But I want to kind of circle back because one of the reasons I'm so passionate about digital courses is because they create real stability and flexibility, especially during big life transitions. So I know that you are expecting your first baby, so congratulations.
B
Thank you.
A
Will you kind of share what you said off camera before we started filming about how your course has played a big part and this big life transfer or not transformation, well, it will transform, but transition, yes, absolutely.
B
That was a really big reason behind the decision of creating this AI that could essentially answer questions that I wouldn't be able to is being a one woman show here inside the square. When I go on my self funded maternity leave in a few months, there's not going to be someone around to answer questions the way that I do. Providing support to my community is a really important part of my job. And, and I say at my job, but I still provide this support for free. Many of the times when people will comment on a video or send me an email with a question, my goal is to help people help themselves. And when I'm not here on the other side of the screen to answer their questions. I still want them to be able to get the answers they need without having to wait for me to come back a few months from now. So being able to send them to Custom Kody and know that they're going to get an answer so similar to the answer that I would give them, if not an even better one, is definitely a great reason to create an AI for your own business.
A
Amen to that. And that's something that you know when you give lifetime access to a digital course, having an AI tool with your proprietary information so that when you go on vacation, when you have big life transitions like you have, that your course still can support your students. That, to me, is one of the best uses of creating a custom GPT, in this case, inside of a course. So, yeah, I think it's so valuable so you can actually have a life while still making money and supporting your students.
B
Yes.
A
Okay.
B
And I have hired someone to manage my inbox while I'm gone. So when my clients come in with questions or my course students need a little bit of extra backup, the person I have to do that, she doesn't have to be an expert at Squarespace, but she has Custom Cody by her side, so she can direct them to Custom Cody or even ask the question to Custom Cody herself. To put that answer in an email to help someone on the spot. And being able to just have her borrow my brain while I'm busy doing life things, it's definitely going to be a big value add for my business.
A
Oh, for sure. That's one of the things we created internally in our business is a digital course academy database just for our internal team. So my customer experience team could answer very specific questions when they come up. And so I think that is so valuable, especially when you're going on maternity leave and you want to make sure that whoever is supporting you is answering questions correctly, especially when it comes to coding, because that is very confusing for most people. So, yes, for sure.
B
It really is.
A
I could see that need. Okay, so before we wrap up, is there one final piece of advice that you'd share with someone in the audience who's thinking about diving into the world of custom GPTs and AI tools, either as part of their course or as a standalone for a different type of audience? What would be your final parting words?
B
Ooh, this is such a good question. Okay, my final parting words. Remember that Chat GPT is for chatting. Ask AI for help. Ask AI your questions. Tell AI exactly what your course is about and what your audience is like and ask it how it sees itself fitting into that ecosystem. Ask AI to help you create ideas and ask AI to help you format your content in a way that it will better understand. Taking my massive code collection, I had to understand how to tell AI to use that information in its responses. And I asked AI, what's the best way for me to give you this data? Then it told me so. It said, okay, here's all the data. Can you format this for me in a way that a GPT will be able to read? And it did. AI is a tool, and if you use it as a tool by having a friendly chat about literally any topic related to your business, it can be incredibly helpful. So don't be afraid to strike up a conversation.

Oh, such great advice. And that's just the way to spark some creativity. So I love that you can use AI to help you create your AI bot idea. So that's such a good idea. Thank you so much, Becca. This has been so interesting and fun to learn about how you've incorporated a custom GPT into your business after you already have a digital course. I think it's going to spark a lot of ideas for people. So if someone's listening and they're like, wait a second, I have a squarespace site I might want to check out Custom Cody. Where would they go?
B
You should head to customcody.com that's C-O-E-Y dot com. You'll also be able to go to customcody.com forward slash Amy. And there I've actually listed out the six steps that I took to create this custom GPT to give a little timeline to anyone interested in building their own AI using the method that I did. It's totally free. It's just a list there on that website. A lot of the things we talked about today with a plethora of questions and other information that you'll want to know if you want to take this route for your business. But that's customcody.com forward/amy.
A
All right, thank you so very, very much, Becca. Love having you on the show. Congratulations with your first baby and congratulations with your business.
B
Thank you so much, Amy. It was an honor to be here today. I appreciate everything you do.
A
Thanks, my friend. Take care. Hey, one more thing before I let you go. Well, Becca was sharing her experience. I thought, you know, there's one thing I would love to share with you about what we're doing in my company and one of the goals I have for the Amy Porterfield show is to take you behind the scenes. And usually I'll take you behind the scenes after I've had success on or a failure with something and tell you if it worked, if it didn't work, and what I would do differently if it didn't work. I'm going to make an exception for this one because I think all of us are starting to think about how AI will fit into our business, how it might hurt our business, how it can enhance our business. And there's two things I want to share. Number one is that if you are in the camp of I don't really want to engage with AI, I might use it a little to help me write some social media posts or copy, but I'm not going to embrace it. And probably maybe there's a little fear that it could take some value away from what you do in your business. Like Becca was saying she felt a little threatened by it. What I want to share with you is you will get left behind if you do not embrace it. And I know that's really harsh. I don't tend to talk in absolutes, but I've studied it enough. I'm now in a special mastermind all about AI and it is not going away, as we know. And I really want you to find a way to dance with it and use it to your highest advantage. So I want to give you a quick idea. So as we've been creating the new iteration of Digital Course Academy for the September 2025 launch, I asked my team to look at how we can use AI to enhance the experience. But I asked them to look at it internally and externally, not just externally. I think a lot of us are saying, okay, maybe I could create an AI bot for my digital course to answer all the questions they may have. You know, in Digital Course Academy, I do a live every single week for nine or 10 weeks and I answer tons of questions. I tend to answer the same question over and over again. So what a really great custom GPT with all my proprietary information and inside of the course. Be super helpful to people that might not be able to jump on a live with me and they want an answer. Absolutely. We have a FAQ vault that is kind of taking a backseat to this new custom GPT that's inside of the course, which I would call that to be external to my business. And there's a few other ways we're going to use chatbots to help my students get big results, specifically around the most important parts of creating and launching a course. But I think I'm most interested in how we can use it internally to help our students. So one of the things that we're offering in Digital Course Academy, I can only give you a hint because I'm really not supposed to talk about it yet, is that we are having my coaches review some key parts of your digital course journey. Key parts like your entire sales page or key parts like your webinar outline to ensure that you're going to get conversions. I have coaches that I am paying to review certain parts of your assets that you'll learn how to create in Digital Course Academy. Real people looking at your work. But I'm also going to create some internal custom AI tools for the coaches to make sure they don't miss anything, to make sure that we can add extra value so they have access to these tools, but they're not solely using them to give you feedback. And so I think a human touch is so important in today's landscape of digital products. If you can add a human touch to enhance the experience, by all means do so. And that's what I'm doing with my coaches, who are now going to actually review the work of my DCA students. But there's still going to be an AI component to, to elevate the review, to make sure they don't miss anything, to bring out points that they might not have considered. So I really love this idea of looking internally and externally in terms of AI tools to support your course promotion, to support you creating a course to support you actually getting to the finish line. So I'll talk more about it in September and get really specific about how it works and how you can take advantage of it. And again, amyporterfield.com forward/dca is the wait list. We don't open up the doors until September, but we are definitely working hard getting ready for it for a brand new era of digital courses. That's where we are right now. There is a brand new era of digital courses and I want to be at the front of that line. And so we are doing all the things to enhance your experience and then you can see how I do it and do it in your own courses as well. All right, my friend, thanks for tuning in and I'll talk to you next week.
