Here is a little more about Dr. Durkin:

"Timothy Durkin, DO, FAAEM, CAQSM is a board certified emergency and sports medicine physician, recently appointed as Local EMS Medical Advisor for the San Juan National Forest. In addition to his work with the Forest, Dr Durkin works in a rural ER, performs fire department physicals with 1582, LLC of Reno, NV and is Chief Medical Officer of Base Medical, LLC.

Dr. Durkin begin his medical career as a paramedic with a busy structural fire department. Since finishing residency, he has been extensively involved with EMS and SAR, including field response as a member of mountain rescue teams in both New Mexico and Colorado. He has particular interest in topics involving emergency, sports and wilderness medicine as well as the health of emergency responders."
