Just finishing off this email. Did you manage to check over all the kit? Yes, looking fine, I'm pleased to say. Don't want any nasty surprises once we get going with the barley tomorrow. No, you really don't, Stella. Anyway, I'm glad you've had a good morning because I need your full attention over lunch. I want to go over Rosie's presents again and decide what's going in her party bags. Well, I thought you were doing that with Toby. I was going to, but he wasn't even allowed inside Rickyard for a quick ch this morning, let alone a birthday planning session. How do you mean? While Rosie was so excited about the circus, she insisted they went the minute he arrived. Should she be dictating whether her dad can have a chat or not? Well, it's her birthday week. I saw Ed out there with the drone. What's he up to? Oh, he's practicing so he can get aerial shots of their tree surgery for publicity. That's clever. Will be, once he gets the hang of flying it. George's girlfriend is some kind of social media guru, so she's gonna help spread the word. Right, that scent. Great. So you're all set for lunch at the ball? I am desperate for lunch. Me too. I'm starving. I warn you, I've been fantasizing about spreading horseradish sauce all over my roast beef. Fair enough. So that is my top priority. Well, let's get cracking, then. Madame, your carriage away. Where do you think of Jeeves? Horseradish sauce, here I come. Okay, Barry, another shower is coming up. I'll do it, Jolene. But that's awful. She must be dead upset. She thinks there's no chance of any kind of, well, relationship with George now. Don't sound like it. Poor Susan and Neil. I mean, he were trying to do right by her because he knows how much Mum's ring means to her. To both of Us. Of course he does, Tracy. But you got to draw the line somewhere, ain't you? With George? You do, that's for sure. I'm with you there. She needs a bit of a boost. And she. She really does. Especially now Neil's invited Dad over to theirs Wednesday night. Hey. Oh, because of your party? Yeah. No offense, but I ain't sure old Bert's giving anyone a boost. Tell me about it. I'm in two minds about Mick, you know. Sorry. There's nothing for him to do, is there? Should we tell him to go home? Oh, he don't mind helping out Kenton. Yeah, but I feel bad we're not paying him. Joy's working today anyhow, so I suppose it's better than being home alone. Yeah, but, I mean, everything's been fine all week. I think we've gone over the top about this tortoise were really sick, Kent, and she didn't eat that medication on her own. No chance. She loves a treat. So, you know, it could have been anyone. Yeah. I just don't want us overreacting because it'll feed our paranoia. Well, mine, anyway. I'm not sure it is paranoia. Look, we don't know anything. Not for sure. And the extra security, you know, all this constant worrying that's unsettling the punters. Which won't help with the pub award either. The customers don't mind? No, no. Thinking about it, this is all a bit knee jerk. We'll see how we go, shall we? Oh, you told Tracy about the party drinks menu. What's this? Oh, yeah, I've got the supplies together for some very special 50th birthday cocktails. Like what? No spoilers. You'll have to wait till your party. Except I ain't going, remember. As if you'd miss your own party. Seriously, why doesn't anyone believe me? Because we know you, Tracy. And we know there's nothing you love more than a wild party. Not now. Jazza spent a fortune on a mobile sauna. You love a sauna. You didn't stop raving after your Grey Gables day with Chelsea. Yeah, but who's he gone and invited to? Martin Gibson's not actually going to turn up. He'll barely know anyone for a start. Apparently, he cannot wait. What? No. Yeah, so I'm gonna have to scrub the entire house, top to bottom, cos I'm not having him judging us. He'll be more used to a business type party in a massive posh house. Yeah, not my cosy little home. Oh, cheer up, Trace. Look, you'll be fine by Wednesday. You'll have a fantastic time. I will have a fantastic time with Brad and Chels at Jimmy's Thai garden. Not at the party, but Jazz has organized everything. That's up to him in it. I'll take this over to Barry. Thanks, my darling. She's having a song, isn't she? I'm not so sure. I wish Annabel Schrivner would stop messaging me. Not Annabelle from the board. Why is she messaging? Brian reckons she's increased her shares in Shires brewery. So she's suddenly interested in the barley harvest. The harvest on the estate, or generally both, is Brian's guess. I'd rather not talk to her if I can help it. Well, she's not that scary. Isn't she? Okay, she's a bit, but so are you when you want to be. Well, I am no match for Annabelle. She's the ultimate canny businesswoman. With her legal background as well, she constantly has an agenda which I cannot begin to fathom. That's because she's unfathomable. Like Justin. There's definitely a type, isn't there? Justin's not helping. I mean, I must have sent him four or five emails now. And at least two voicemails about home farms next contract for bl. Yeah, which starts in a few weeks after the wheat harvest. I mean, it's just a formality, but I'm too busy to keep chasing him. But if he hasn't, it makes me look bad. That makes him look worse. Anyway, he's probably too busy warming up his cauldron for the boardroom meeting next week. Stocking up on I of new entrails of Toad. Seriously though, I'm sorry Justin's causing you all this stress. Yeah, well, it'll be a whole lot worse if Brian, Annabelle and Martin don't persuade him to change his mind about the 500 acres. There is a lot of land. Exactly. Yes, it's low grade land. The survey showed that. But taking it out of food production altogether goes against the whole purpose of farming. Do you reckon they can stop him? Well, they'd upset most of the board if he went ahead. Never underestimate Justin, Elliot. That's my advice. These glasses Dead ladies. Oh, yeah. Thanks, Tracy. Great. Sorry we can't come to your party. By the way. Rosie's is the same day. Oh, she's my little twin and she. Yeah, we'll have chased around after a bunch of 6 and 7 year olds all afternoon. Yeah, I remember that. You'll be whacked And Rosie's bound to want to stay up late. Not too late, hopefully. It's fine, Pip. Don't worry because I won't be there myself. Jasmine mentioned you'd say that. Then he should know. I mean it. He said you'd say that too. Did he? You've got a lot to learn that, man. Well, I hope it goes well anyway. Yeah, have fun. Yeah. I won't be there, I'm telling you, dear. Let's hope Rosie doesn't refuse to come to her party after all the trouble you're going to. Oh, no chance of that. She's dead dead excited. Did she calm down in the end this morning? Yeah, finally. She just wanted Toby to arrive quicker. It was hard waiting when you're nearly seven. Oh, she had a question for you, actually. For me? Yeah. It's really sweet because she wants to know if you'd mind her calling you Mum. Sorry. Now, obviously I'm still Mummy, but you can be Mum. Really? Apparently it's quite cool to have two mothers nowadays. Is it? But that's a bit. It's a bit out of the blue, isn't it? I don't think Toby would like it. Well, I'll ask him, shall I? But it makes no difference to me, so it's no pressure. Does that come from the car park? That sounds like scrambled, like. That's Tracy shouting. Quick. Come on. She might need help. What's happening? Get away with this, you know. You're on camera. We'll find out who you are. Yeah, they keyed it front and back. Nothing over here. What's happened? Is everyone okay? Well, it's not us, it's the cars. Who were they? We heard them racing off. Bunch of hooligans, it looked like. Is that Kenton's? Oh, no, that's pretty deep. No, I'm trying not to touch anything. Although I bet there won't be fingerprints. They're too clever nowadays. Looks like your car's fine, Pip. No scratches. Is it okay? They were about to slash the tires. Mick said. What? Mine? You're kidding. But it's okay. You're sure? I've checked all round. Well, the tyres are fine this side. Oh, yeah, Yeah, I think it's okay. Come on, Pip, let's go and check the others. Yeah, let's go. It's only Kenton's car, then. Looks like Mick spotted them in time. Good old Mick. He was quick off his feet. Oh. Any luck, Kenton? No, too fast for us. We followed them around the corner, but they scarpered a known number of Plates? Nothing. Mick's gone to check the cameras. What's the damage here? Just your car, by the looks of it. Oh, for crying out loud. That's some scratch. Everything else looks okay. Yeah, I can't see any damage to the other cars. Nor could I. Oh, well, that's something. Okay, I'd better go and ring the police. Yeah. This is gonna need a respray, you know. Yeah, it looks like it. Are you okay, Jolene? Yeah, I expect I will be. You could probably do with a sit down. We all could, I reckon. I'll be inside in a minute. Me and Tracy will have a another walk round. Yeah, of course. If you could check on your Uncle Kenton for me. Oh, sure. Yeah, will do. Right, we'll see you in a bit. Yeah. Thanks, both. Blimey, Jolene. Not what we need on a Sunday lunchtime. Absolutely not. There we go, ladies. On the house. Apologies for the disruption, Uncle Kenton. Obviously we're paying. No, no, I'd rather you didn't. None of this is your fault. Yeah, I know, but where's the card machine? Well, okay, if you insist. Of course we do. There you go, then. Thank you. Thank you. And thanks for your support today. Oh, no worries. Honestly, we've got a slight problem. What's wrong? Mick checked the footage, but it cuts just before the bikes arrived, so I had a quick look at the cameras. And? Smashed to smithereens. What you doing? Ordering new cameras. Not cheap, I'm afraid, but worth it. Yeah, they'll be fitted within the week. 10 days max. And we need to try Brett again. What? We can't afford him. We've talked about this. I feel bad enough not paying Mick. I reckon we need both. Both? Mick's got a job at Grey Gables. He can't be here all the time. But it was most likely kids after what happened to little Tortoise. Oh, God, please, Jolene. You identify one of Markie's mates and suddenly we get targeted. Look, a crime prevention officer's dropping by, but they honestly didn't seem worried. They weren't here. But we were. And it was fine. Yeah, thanks to Nick. I just don't think you need to panic, okay? Me? Yes. You're getting it out of proportion. Am I? Yes, you are. Okay, fine. But as long as Mick's willing, and he is, we may as well keep him. Just for now. All right, then. But just for now. That was in Las Vegas. Then it sold out in a matter of days. So you've organized events all around the world. Impressive, don't you think? Linda. Indeed. On the surface at least. If you can manage a sell out international gala. I'm sure the Ambridge Fate wouldn't be a problem. But we'd approach this kind of community event in a purely supportive capacity. Very much in listening mode. I'm not sure we can ask for more, can we, Linda? One can always ask for more. Akram, did you bring our to do list with you? Actually, I gave Zenab a copy to bring in this morning. Yeah, thanks for that. I've ticked off everything I think we can offer. That's. Yeah, that's pretty much everything. Well, surely you've done one or two of them already. Still on number one. I'm afraid I've got too many jobs on. Let's see, number what? Hollis and Silver Band. We still haven't confirmed their attendance. There's never any answer. I fitted a new bathroom suite in Edgeley at the weekend and every time I had a break, I rang the number. No luck. The musical director is notoriously elusive, but he did take the provisional booking. We could try and get hold of him, if that's useful. That would be a big help. Erm, perhaps I should clarify the Fate Committee's position at this juncture. Absolutely. You see, the Ambridge Fate is a very particular beast, Mr. Farnes. Please, call me Dane. As you wish. And may I call you Linda? I suppose so. Oh. Being a community driven event, the Fate organisation must be embedded within the community. Well, we'd like the hotel to be at the heart of your community too. And sponsoring the Fate perfectly aligns with that. Really? I was visualizing donkey rides, a coconut shy carousel, Helter Skelter, a musical steam organ. Everything you'd expect at a traditional English fete. That sounds fantastic. And traditional is what people wanted, Linda. But a carousel doesn't come cheap. Nor a Helter Skelter. We've looked into them before. We'd cover any upfront booking fees as part of the sponsorship, of course. Seriously? And the proceeds still go to charity? Of course. With no upfront costs, Linda, there'd be more leftover for good causes. Actually, I saw these traditional wooden stalls online. Can I show you? Ah, like a Christmas market, that kind of thing. Yeah, but quintessentially English. I think visitors would be delighted with a heritage style fete. Same as the locals. Ah, here we are. Let me. Let me show you some pictures. Oh, now that is interesting. And against the right backdrop here. So those stalls would be for local businesses to sell products or promote services. Yeah. You said the bull usually runs a beer Tent, that sort of thing. Just what we wanted. Yes, perhaps. So, in terms of publicity, our marketing team can knock up some designs and get the message out there on social media what you both think. Sounds great. Linda, what's your opinion? Well, there's no doubt it's a. Well, an impressive offer. I'm glad you think so. Yes, I. I think I'm beginning to understand your vision. Excellent. Oh, hey, Jolene. Oh, afternoon, Stella. How are you? You recovered from yesterday? Just about. Oh. Must have been such a shock. Me and Pip felt a bit unsettled afterwards, and we were just onlookers, really. Much worse for you. Yeah. I'm just glad none of the other cars got damaged. Kenton's was bad enough. What have the police said? Did they identify anyone? Afraid not. The crime prevention officer did come round. She said they'll put back the priority marker on our 999 calls. Well, that's something. Kenton's got new cameras on order, so that's summoned and. All. Right. Sorry. I'll just grab some mints. Oh, yeah, go for it. It. Susan went out back to look for chocolate biscuits, and then a delivery turned up. Ah. Okay. So you're waiting for the biscuits. Kenton's favorite. Do you reckon she'll be long? Who knows. Anyway, thanks for coming in, Akram. Linda, thank you for seeing us. What with work commitments. I'm a little behind with some of the organizing. Well, some of my team can help with that, too, if you like. Your Zainab's a very efficient organizer, just like her mother. Then we can put her on the case, can't we? That's really very generous, Dane. Engaging with the community is one of our core aims, so it'll be win win, don't you think? Of course, I will need to supervise the arrangements personally to make sure they're in keeping with our usual protocol. And. And that the essential character of the fate remains unchanged. Well, except for bringing it into the Grey Gables family, it's just the same. Shall I summarise what we've discussed in an email so you can review it? That will be most helpful. So, all in all, how you feeling about Grey Gable's sponsorship? It's a straight yes from me. Perfect. Linda, do we have your blessing? Oh, I actually think it could work out quite. How shall I put it? Quite satisfactorily. You're happy to go ahead? Yes. Do you know, I think I might be. In which case, I'd say we have a deal. I just can't believe the police aren't being more Proactive, Jolene. There's no proof it's linked. Poor little tortoise. That was no accident. And those idiots yesterday? Separate incident. Rubbish. I know. I spoke to Harrison last night and he said it's possible them kids were paid to vandalize our cars. Shame we didn't catch one of them, but. Yeah, that's really worrying for you. Because if someone did pay them well, and hard to guess who. How do we prove it? I don't know. But you don't want people worrying about parking at the pub. Oh, damn right. We're a country pub. That'd be a massive dent in our business. Mick said he'd patrol the car park more, didn't he? Him and Kenton. Yeah. Except. Except? Well, it's the car park. You can see it's not easy for him. That's where Kenton got attacked. Yeah. Oh, this must be so hard for him, then. What does he think he should do? He didn't think anything, apparently. How do you mean? Well, between you and me, he's refusing to talk about it. Nothing we can do. So why make a big deal of it? It's like he's decided to block the whole problem out. Sounds like my dad used to be you can block a problem out, there's no need to deal with it. Yeah, as it happens, Vince told me something interesting this morning about that Markie. Vince? Yeah, well, Markie got sent down for the stolen meats scam last year from Casey Meats. I remember. So Vince keeps tabs on him, too. On the quiet, anyhow. Seems he's out on license. Okay, then. From what I hear, he only has to put one foot wrong and he's back inside. Yeah, so he. That's a little ray of hope. Yeah. Oh, I honestly hope it sorts itself out, Jolene, because you've got a lovely pub there and you don't deserve this. Oh, thanks, Stella. Oh, I have to give up on this. I need to get back. Look, you take your mint. I'll pay when Susan's back. Are you sure? Oh, thanks, Jolene. I appreciate it. I'll see you soon. Yeah. Bye. My darling. Stella. Oh, just the person. Hey, Linda. If you're heading inside, don't bother. Susan's having trouble with the delivery outback. Oh, dear. I'm in urgent need of limange la mange. Don't ask. I won't. Jolene's had to pay for my mints because I can't wait any longer. I wish I'd brought my car now. Well, let me give you a lift. Really? Yes, it won't take five minutes. Oh, that's amazing. Thanks, Linda. Do you think you'll be looking for another dog yourself soon, Stella? Yeah, actually, I have been thinking about it a lot. It's two years since I lost Weaver. Yes, I thought it might be. He was my mate, you know? My best, most loyal mate. I still miss him all the time. Oh, I'm sure. I've been known to muse quietly on how much easier dogs are than children. Leoni and coriander aren't mine, of course, but you know where you are with your dog. Very true. Actually, Linda, do you mind if I ask you something far away? I'm wondering, did your stepdaughters ever call you Mum? Oh, dear, no. Because I wasn't their mother, was I? No, I was very happy just to be Linda. You see, Rosie's asked if she can call me Mum. Has she? Well, the girls were older when I met Robert, of course, but I'm not sure I'd have been comfortable with it. I'm not sure I am, but how would I say no without upsetting her and Pip? You just have to be honest, Stella. I mean, Rosie's got two perfectly wonderful parents already. Does she need a third? Yeah, I don't feel that's my role, not really. I'm not sure what my role is, but I know it's different. Well, I'd say it's unique to you and to Rosie, but not at all easy to navigate. You've done me. Am I dropping you at the eco office? Next gate up, if that's okay. Oh, that's fine. It's just that. Yeah, I'm not her parent and. And I feel like maybe I'd have to act differently if I was Mum. I don't know. Well, I think if that's your instinct, you need to say exactly that to Pip. Thanks. I haven't decided fully. Not yet. And here we are. Oh, cheers, Linda. I really appreciate it. Oh, I'm sorry. I haven't even asked how things are with you. Well, I'm currently absorbed with the sum of fate. Yeah. And on that score, I can confide that an unexpected solution has presented itself in the form of sponsorship from Grey Gables. Oh, are they taking over the fate? What? Oh, dear me, no. They won't be taking it over. Their role will be merely supportive. Well, it'll make things a lot easier, won't it? That may be true, but in my long experience of village events, Stella, easier is not always better. So how come you're spending your last student pennies on the tea room's fancy hot chocolate. Amber asked to meet what George is Amber. She wants to talk about wedding venues. She ain't marrying you, Brad. No, no, I know that. Her card machine's ready. Oh, by the way, Mia's back from uni. Did you know? Yes. You're the 10th person to tell me that. Except it's nothing to do with me. If you say so. Anyway, what do you know about wedding venues? I know about Greg Gables and Larry Loxley. Well, George can't afford them. Amber's in a good job though. No, we're talking thousands, Brad. You should hear my hairdressing clients going on about it. Even the cheap venues are extortionate. That's why you gotta help Chels. Oh nah, it's nothing to do with me. But you know, all that stuff. I'm helping Natasha ice the twins birthday cake today. I meant in your break. I can't stop long myself because I've got my appraisal with Dane later. Well, am I gonna remember this Amber from school then? I dunno. She's a lot different then. Oh, here she is. Where? You're kidding. She looks like she's off to some fancy cocktail bar. Why ain't she coming in? Weird. I thought she'd seen us. So it went well then? You say Akram loved all my ideas. Jolly good. But Belinda, how did she take it? You were right, she is a tough cookie. But she was fine in the end. By the way, did you look at the sketches I attached Oliver? Actually no, sorry. We mocked some visuals up to show how the Fate would look against the hotel backdrop. And its magnificent. I must book a photographer for the day. Excellent idea, Dane. But I'm astonished Linda didn't even challenge the idea of moving the Fate to our grounds. We're hardly going to spend the time all that money and not have it here. By the way, the hotel's fully booked that weekend with lots of overseas visitors so they'll love it. But you did spell it out to Linda. Yeah, I did. I mean I thought I did but now you say that. Oh no. Yeah, I'm pretty sure she understood it. I don't recall a specific mention in your email. Possibly not, but I did attach the sketches. I see. So we're waiting for Linda to admire your visuals of the Fate suddenly notice Grey Gables in the background. Then all hell breaks loose. Very funny. Right, I need a. I need a quick chat with the kitchen staff. Yeah. I'm not joking Dane. Of course you're not. Oh dear. Amber, are you coming in? They do amazing hot chocolate at the tea room. I. I can't go in there. Why not? I can't be in the same space as that person. What person? The one behind the counter. Who? Chelsea? You know her, then? Well, I should do. She's my sister. What? You. You don't look anything like her. Are you okay? You look a bit sort of shaky. My heart is literally pounding in my chest. Chelsea weren't in our year. Are you sure? You remember? I know what year she was in. I did a little dance at the school gates the day she left. Eh? She made my life a misery right through year seven and eight. I'm sorry, I didn't know. That vilest bully that school has ever seen. Well, lucky for me, she lost interest when there were younger ones for her and her mates to pick on. She was in the popular group. And I suppose they could be a bit mean sometimes. Mean? I have done so much content about being bullied. How to get through it, how to heal yourself. Right. Brad. Hey, how you doing? And who's this? Oh, Mia. Hey. Yeah, I heard you were back. Aren't you gonna introduce me? Is this your new. This is Amber, George's girlfriend. Oh, fiance. Oh, hang on, did you say Mia? Mia, yeah, seriously? George's sister. Oh, hi. I have been dying to meet you. Hi. Yeah, I've been looking forward to it. Can we. Oh, yes, sorry. Sorry if I seem a bit. Anyway, it is amazing to finally meet you. What you been buying then? Carrots and mushrooms. You're doing your Rusties? Yeah. Oh, they're so tasty. George told me you two used to be an item. Oh, ages ago. Yeah, it's not that long. Anyway, sorry, but I've got to go. What about our chat? Yeah, sorry. Boss texted. Catch up with you another time, Amber. Okay, no worries. I'll message you. Thanks. Bye. Bye then. He's not remotely over you. What the. Mr. Listen, shall we grab a coffee in the tea room? You'll have to do that in your own time. Really? I was gonna say hi to Chelsea, but. Yeah, no, I can do that after I seen Will. He's at Grange Farm with Eddie today. Oh, I know. I'm living there at the minute. Of course. I can drop you there if you like. I'm heading to work soon anyway. Oh, thanks, Amber. That would be great. Brad. Sorry about the delay. Hello, Dane. Linda. I wasn't expecting you. Weren't you? Shall I come back later? Please stay where you are. This won't take long. Okay. This is to do with the fate. The village fate, which you appear to be kidnapping. What? Not at all. But I do apologise for any crossed wires. Crossed wires? Is having it here really such an issue? I understand it's been held elsewhere before now. Brad might remember A Lower Loxley fate. Maybe when I were little. It was not a Lower Loxley fate and nor will it be a Grey Gables fate. It is a village fate. And our agreed vision yesterday was of a traditional English event, was it not? Spot on. A traditional fate on its traditional site, the village green, which has been under sustained attack from hungry birds. Why deliver a high quality event on substandard terrain now? It's not that bad. It is quite bad. Thanks, Brad. Sorry. And it's relatively small. Whereas here we can offer a beautifully spaced out affair with access to the hotel itself, which villagers might enjoy. What? You don't give two hoots about the villagers. You're simply offering your foreign visitors a glimpse of ye olde England without leaving the Queen grounds. One of the benefits, certainly. I am talking about the very essence of the fate here. Our community driven ethos must not be polluted by your hotel's commercial influence. That's a bit below the belt. Oh, is it? Or is it in fact, the truth? I'll just. Oh. Fetch. Oliver. Sorry again about the delay, Mia. No worries. I needed to get that video. Right. I just. I speak a lot about surviving bullying and all the sadness that you absorb. So this one just had to be like, completely spontaneous. Sure. As I said, I had my own issues with Chelsea, but she has really changed. We've all changed, Mia. Some of us had to. So how's George getting on? I mean, he's steering clear of the wrong crowd. Is he? Because he can be easily. Well, easily influenced. Oh, George is far too sensible for that. It's the others who are being influenced by him, actually, which is amazing for them. Is it? Okay. Yeah. Well, you can see where his caring comes from the minute you meet Emma and Will. Ed. Eddie. Oh. Oh, I'm Clary. I am just in love with Clary. She's the best grandma in the world. She is great. And Susan and Neil are lovely too. Have you met them? Oh, gonna have to stop you there, Mia. There's actually only so much negative energy I can deflect in one day. Okay. Well, if you want to catch up while I'm here. Oh, yeah, absolutely. Put your number in my phone. Sure. Because I'm planning on doing a special walk up Lakey Hill on Friday if you fancy it. That sounds amazing. I would love that. Perfect. Well, I'll message you the details. I fully understand your reservations, Linda, but let me assure you this was purely miscommunication, not conspiracy or crossed wires. As I see it, miscommunication is the least I'm willing to accept. Either way, I do apologize. As do I. I hope you'll accept our sincere apologies. All right. I suppose I could give you the benefit of the doubt. Thank you. And can I just mention that Zaynab has already sourced both a traditional style carousel and a Helter Skelter. Really? And she's spoken to the Hollaton Silver Band. Good heavens. How did she manage that? We confirmed the booking and paid their full fee. Oh. Wonderful news, don't you think, Linda? Indeed. Well, I. I do realise your sponsorship will offer certain advantages, but you must understand I consider it my duty to ensure the community remains front and centre in terms of delivery. Of course. So I must insist on a compromise. Oh, say, three events which the village itself will present. Fine by me. That sounds like an excellent solution. And when one sees how inspirational our village debates events are, one might begin to appreciate the real value of community engagement. Good day, gentlemen. Bye then. Thank you. Thanks. Oliver. I did warn you to tread carefully. Now, I'm not entirely sure what she meant by that last comment. Let me translate. Simply stated, her events will be better than yours. Ha. Well, challenge accepted. She'll find she's met her match with me. I wouldn't bet on it. Sorry. Sorry. What are you playing at? I sent you loads of messages. I literally got stuck between Linda and Dane rowing over the fate. But why did you disappear? I'm so sorry. Will wanted to show me Poppy's clean air project. Nina, what are you doing here? That's good to see you too. I asked her to come because she saw Amber too. Amber? Thing is, Chelsea, Amber says you bullied her at school. What? You and your mates. What? I never bullied no one my entire life. Why are you looking at me like that? I never did. She says different. I don't care what she says. Why is she caked in makeup at 10 o' clock in the morning anyway? That might be the kind of thing she's talking about. What? Oh, come on. You weren't that nice to me at first. Only because you were all, like, superior. Which ain't nice either. Fair point. Well, so I were a disgusting bully and I never knew it. Why do you think I weren't bullied, Chels? Because everyone were terrified of you. Brad. You weren't helping. I'm sorry, but I Can't believe it. I was gonna offer to help with her wedding and do like her hair and makeup for free and. And now this. Look, I'm seeing her on Friday, so what if you happen to bump into us? Yeah, and then you could talk to her. Why? Well, you know, clear the air maybe. Worth a try. She just needs a chance to get to know you. Oh, go on then. The mobile sauna looks fabulous, Jazza. I managed to fit the tent into the back corner. Tracy and Chelsea were testing out last night. I don't know what they had to talk about for so long, but it must be working. Okay. Yeah. Evening, Jolene. Thanks for coming. Oh, you look sensational. Happy birthday, my darling. Thank you. Well, I'll set up the cocktails in the lounge then. And I'll find your card. Oh, thank you. I'll open it later if that's okay. That's our taxi. Hang on a minute. Where you going? I'm taking the kids out for a Thai meal, remember? I did say you were joking. Was I? Oh dear. It was just a daft threat. None of my threats are daft, Jazzer. You should know that by now. Enjoy my party with your boss. Tracy. Trace, come back here. Tracy. What is she doing? Oh no, it's the only what we're going to say. Our mates will be piling in here any minute. I best set up these cocktails then, eh? One minute Rosie's full of beans, begging me for piggyback rides and the next she's fast asleep. It was typical. But she's loved every second of today. Ripping open presents, dancing with a little mate, stuffing her face with chocolate. Yeah, that as well. It's good of your mum and dad to keep her overnight pimples. No point waking her up just to take her home. True. And amazingly, we get to go to a party ourselves. A grown up house party with actual booze and Tracy style. Oh, I can't wait. Toby, you need to get out more. Hey, didn't Stella want to come? Oh, well, she's flat out with barley harvest, so she's even more knackered than Rosie. Of course. And there's the usual home farm shenanigans. O' Brien being his awkward self, is he? Oh, Brian's being Brian, Justin's being Justin and wait, wait. Is that Martin Gibson? Surely not. Been knocking but no one's in. They're probably in the garden. Of course, yeah. Hello, Martin. Long time no see. Oh, it's Rex's brother, isn't it? That's me, Toby. Oh, look, the Back gates open. You're right. I shall make my way to the festivities in that direction then. Are you coming? We'll be there in a minute. What's he doing here? Isn't this a bit down market for the Gibson? He's newly single, obviously. I should have guessed. Another jacket and a silk scarf in this heat. Plus he and Jazza have been pretty matey in the Bull recently. I've seen them a couple of times. What? Jazza's got way more taste than that. And why has Martin brought his beach towel? Oh, I forgot about that. Jazz has hired a mobile sauna. Omg. You know what that means. Do I? Martin Gibson's got his budgie smugglers all underneath. Oh, she's been nipped upstairs. Who knows? Hey, Jolene, you're doing a cracking job there. Hey, you can't keep saying Tracy's father popped upstairs. You know her mates ain't stupid. Ah, one more drink, they'll be past care. And let me. This party's banging. It ain't folks. He's missing it. I can't argue with that. Who's missing out? Did you say aha? We're not talking about the party girl herself. I was wondering where she got to. Tracy's gone out for a meal instead. Can you believe it? I am flabbergasted after the Herculean effort you've gone to trouble in paradise, eh, Jazza? I'm not bothered, mate. I'm having a ball here. Is that the next load, Julie? Yep, all ready for you. Here we go. Right, who fancies a hanky pancake? Crikey, he's brave. Some of the women out there are actually quite alarming. Rubbish. They're just red blooded, middle aged women. That's what I mean. I like your jacket, Martin. Thank you. It's new. I thought so. I must say, I didn't think a village house party would be your kind of thing. Now I'm young, free and single again, I'm open to new things. That's what keeps you young, Jolene. Oh, is it really? Absolutely. Then how's about you do me a favor and take this cocktail out to a very special person? Of course. It's Tracy's mate, Marley, who's a smashing lady. Worked her way up to run a busy care agency but still finds time to help out at the food bank. Really? Sounds interesting. But how will I know who she is? Take this out, shout the name of the drink and I rest and she'll find you. Hang on. What is it? Smells delicious. Oh, it is I've written the name down here for you. What? I can't say that. Of course you can. Off you go. No, honestly, I can't. No, maybe not the old Martin, but the new Martin. Being open to new things is what keeps you young. Didn't you say? Did I? Yeah, think I did. Off your drop. I'll. Yeah, all right. I'll give it a go. And who wants a French kiss? Oh, who knew a back garden sa. I could be this good? Ultimate relaxation. Rosie woke me up at 5, so kick me if I start snoring. Be out snoring. You? Don't worry. I could have hugged Jolene when she found us some towels. Me too. In fact, I will go and hug her when we finished here. I really missed her. I loved working in the ball. What a bonkers, brilliant night. Cocktails, dancing, a saa. I wish Rex had come. This is exactly what he needs. Stop him pining for a shell. Anyway, I'm glad Rosie got through her birthday in one piece, so to speak. No meltdowns, you mean? It's been pretty hard recently. We need to make sure she gets rewarded for being good, not the reverse. Totally. And talking of rewards, she was so good right through her party, she was. I said I'd reward her with something pretty special. Something she really wants. Mm. So I did say I'd get her a mobile phone. Sorry, I know she's young and obviously I don't mean a smartphone. You want to buy her a phone? A really basic model. Just a few games and texts and calls. Toby, she's 7. Yeah, but she's actually very grown up for her age. And she loves playing on my phone. We'll make sure it's not connected to the Internet, then she'll be perfectly safe. That wouldn't work, Toby. She knows how to connect at the the WI Fi. Most of the games she plays now are online. Yes, I'd have to supervise her 24 7. Okay, I'm not stupid. I know she's young for a phone, but loads of my mates kids had phones. Really young. And you should see them now. They're super skilled at all kinds of tech. No, that's not the point. Her behavior is challenging enough as it is, Toby, without having to battle with her over screen time as well. This would help, because when she rings, I can support whatever you're saying at that moment, can't I? Honestly? And she said herself, we can talk whenever we want, so we'll feel more connected. Right. It was really sweet, actually. So she was pestering you? I Wouldn't put it like that. Yeah, wore you down till you gave in. Okay, she went on a bit, but she argued it really well. Bip. And she was so good today. Like you said. Room for a small one? Have my seat, Martin. Pip. Hang on, because I'm finished here. Oh, this is wonderful. And if it's just us chaps and we can dispense with our towels, eh? Leave the door. I'm finished too. You're lost, my boy. You're lost. Scandinavian bliss. Julie, you want the top up? Oh, not for me. Just grabbing my cardigans. Getting nippy out there. Saw you talking to Marlene earlier. She's the only one that sus Trace is no here. I think she must have gone home now. I told her to meet the moisture designer, so she's probably in now. I'm gonna bring Kenton over tomorrow morning so we can have a go. You do that, hen. Guess who's back. Tracy. Fab meal, few bevies. Now it's time to party. Finally back your gorgeous kettle. Oh, you big softie. No one else would have gone to all this trouble for me. That's because nobody else loves you. You like me. All right, back at you. This place is rocking. Come on. And it's all for you. Happy Busty, darling. All right. Hi. I'm back in the building. She's arrived. Yeah, she certainly has. Thanks for the towel, Jelly. Oh, no props. So how you doing, Toby? We hadn't had a chance to catch up with you recently. I'm always fetching or dropping Rosie. But I do mean to pop into the ball or try and find the time, my darling, because we love seeing you. I was sorry to hear about everything. It sounds really stressful. Just a bit. Must be bringing everything back. The dog attacked you. Well, not that he's admitting it, not to me anyhow. But yeah, you know Kenton, I'd be the same. Loads of false bravado, but scared witless underneath. Yeah. Listen, I'll pop around tomorrow before I leave, see if I can buck him up. Oh, will you? He'd love that, Toby. I promise. Hey, have you seen Pip anywhere? Oh, you just missed her, my darling. She left a few minutes back. Look, I'm gonna try and catch her up. See you tomorrow. Okay, then. Cheer. Pip. Hang on a minute, will you? What for? I'm not used to sprinting, that's why. Well, Rex's boat is the other way. Toby, I just need to explain, okay? What? That you're a complete idiot. I know that already. Thanks. No, come on, Pip. Please don't dismiss this like it's just Toby being stupid again. That's not fair. Not fair? Seriously? You have her all the time. You get the. The little quiet moments, the calm as well as the storm. I get some weekends, an occasional week, which is brilliant, but it's not the same. I really miss her. Okay, look, I know you do. And she misses you, especially when you're abroad. So this phone is about me being there for her. More being there for you too. I mean, she's seven. Exactly. No, I mean she's already seven. How's that happen? Pip, our little girl's growing up in front of our eyes and I want to do my bit. Be part of her life properly, not some add on extra. Yeah, I get that. Do you, though? I'm trying not to dismiss it out of hand, but you must realize it's a ridiculous idea. Not when you understand why I'm doing. Okay, I'll sleep on it now, I promise. I'll have a good think. But this is definitely not me agreeing. All right. What day is it? What day? I don't know. Weekend, probably. You're not working. To know you well to know. Ah, you're awake. Well, Mum's got Rosie, hasn't she? So I'm milking this morning. Oh, yeah? What time do you get back? Oh, no idea. Tea's there. My savior. Sorry I didn't come. I was beyond shattered. After Rosie's party and the barley harvest and Justin. Elliot. Still blanking my emails. Oh, that man. Stella. So, was a good night, was it? Oh, really brilliant night. Until. Yeah, until. Well, until Toby told me he'd promised Rosie a phone. Pardon? Not a smartphone. Don't worry, just something basic. But still, he's bought a 7 year old a mobile phone. Oh, he hasn't bought anything yet. Sorry, Pip. How thoughtless is that? I know it sounds bad and I was pretty angry. Even if it's a basic model, she'll still be able to connect to the Internet. Yeah, I said that. And we'll have to watch her like a hawk. Cause how do we know who she's calling? He wants her to call him. Obviously. But she could phone anyone. A complete stranger who could say anything. Get her to do anything I said about restricting her calls or the emergency services. If she calls them, they won't be happy. I know. And it'll have a camera. Bound to. So she can take pictures of people or video them. She can video us, Pip. Or herself. And it'll end up online. Honestly, talk about short sighting. He knows it's A lot to ask, but you can't blame him for missing her. He's her dad. Yeah, he should be more responsible, not fill her head with ludicrous ideas. He thinks her phone will help him support us with her behaviour. Oh, how does he work that out? I know it sounds bizarre, but parenting is all about compromise. Oh, there's me thinking it's about being consistent. Isn't that what all the parenting gurus say? And why the hell would you compromise on this of all things? All I said was I'd think about it. Alright, well, you think about it then, because it clearly doesn't matter what I say. Right, head. I'm on my way now. Stella. Hello? Front door was open. Jassa. Neil. That's not Jassa. Isn't it? No, you're right. It don't look like Jassa's feet. Whose heart they then? I hate to think. Think. Whoever it is, he appears to be out for the count anyway. Oh, my goodness. Look at this place. Yeah. Good job we had Bert for the night, eh? It's like a tornado sitting very drunk. Tornado. I can see why Brad sounded annoyed. I'm just glad he rang us before he went to work, poor lad. Chelsea's dead to the world too, apparently. But she doesn't start her shift till later. Unlike Jassa. Who is Stuart Barrow in precisely 29 minutes, same as you. Well, I'll head upstairs and see if I can wake him. Well, you better know, because he'll get into trouble if he doesn't tune up. Yeah, trouble from me. Can't show him favoritism just because he's my brother in law. Yeah, it wouldn't be fair to the others. Right. I feel like I'm going into battle. It will be a battle, knowing Jazza. Once more. And two. Excuse me. Hello. I don't know who you are, but. I'm sorry, but you can't stay. Are you. Hello. Look, you can't hide behind a blanket. Marotine. Susan. Carter. What are you doing here? What are you doing here? This is our Tracy's house. Is it? Oh, yes. Yes, indeed. Tracy's party. That's right. You appear to have lost your trousers, Martin. Oh, dear. I think you might be right. I know I'm right. Oh, my apologies. I'll just tie the blanket like this and no harm done. Where are your trousers? I probably hung them up somewhere. Hung them up? I'm very particular like that. Are you in. Whose trousers are these? Behind the telly. Behind? Oh. Oh, yes, that's right. Behind the telly. Here. You are. It's a funny story actually, Susan. I'd rather not hear it, if you don't mind. Suit yourself. I'm going to go and find some bin bags for all this rubbish, so now would be a good time to put your clothes back on. Righto. I'm doing it now. What a night. Ah, come on, Stella, answer your phone. Hey, Pip. Just this minute. Stopped for a break. Yeah, I knew you'd have to eventually. I just need to say something. I haven't got time for another argument. That wasn't an argument, that was you going off on one and me not getting a word in. Can I clarify? I was never going to let Rosie have a phone. Oh, weren't you? No. And if you'd listened, you'd know I already told Toby everything you said. Right. Sorry, but I don't need you jumping to mad conclusions that telling me I'm a rubbish parent for trying to sort this out without upsetting everyone. I didn't say you were a rubbish parent. It's what you meant. Well, sorry, but Rose's behaviour is getting worse, not better. So why would either of you reward her? You do have to reward the little things, not just the big things. But we're working on it, aren't we? We're trying. And yes, we need to be consistent. But that includes Toby promising her a mobile phone and not talking to you first. That's not on. I'm saying to both of them, there's no way she's having a phone. Good. Although I don't see why you have to be the wicked witch already. Sorry, Pip, I really can't chat now. Yeah, I know you can't, but can we meet later? Just to clear the air, please? I don't know when I'm going to get a break. Oh, come on. I don't want to end the day in an argument. No, I'll bring treats. All right, look, I'll give you a shout. Neil, you take a drink of this side. Not yet, but feel free to do it yourself. I can't even read yet. Know that it exploding. Don't worry. Ghettos. Neelo sort. Okay. Can't you do anything today, Jasper? It's your fault. You should never have got me up. I wish I hadn't known. I could check the deliveries, maybe. No, I've done that. The wallows are looking wet, by the way. Yes, I sorted that too. Good work, Neil. Been busy. Yeah. I'll make us another cup of then. You might as well take these crates back while you're at it. Will you? Surely you can manage that? Give them here. Oh, damn it. Sorry. Oh, Lor. Got mud everywhere. I'm worse than you. How the hell did you manage that? I didn't have a grip. I told you I couldn't have bend my head yet. You shouldn't be on site in this state. Ah, don't fuss, man. It's a wee hangover between family, eh? What's going on, chaps? Nothing to worry about, Martin. Just a bit of mud. You're both completely splattered. Yes, yes, we know that. It's near bother. Oh, I just wanted to say what a fabulous night I had. I can't believe you missed out, Neil. We had Susan and Tracy's dad to compensate us. Myself and Marlene got along splendidly, if you know what I mean. Right. I've got emails to read. What, Neil? Oh, she put me through my paces. I need to go with Neil. We message each other four times already this morning. Which you believe. Huge thanks for your hospitality, Jazza. We certainly made the most of it. There you go. I'm so fed up a cleaning, Susan. Oh, me too. And it's not even my house. I already spent all week scrubbing the place because Jazza went and invited Martin Gibson. Needn't have bothered Tracy from the state of him this morning. He wouldn't have noticed a few cobwebs. That's because there weren't any cobwebs. I found one above the cooker, so I'm not sure that's true. Not everyone has your X ray vision, Susan. Charming. Sorry. Thanks for helping. Yeah, well, we'll hang on to dad again tonight, shall we? Oh, if you don't mind. What did he say about Mum's engagement ring? I haven't told him. Nothing to tell because it's back in my drawer upstairs where it always was. Our Chelsea had trouble with her on Tuesday and all with Amber. Accused Chelsea of bullying her at school. Really? Refused to step foot in the tea room, according to Brad. That's awful. Is there any truth in it, do you think? No way. Chelsea can be pretty forthright, can't she? Like her mother. More like her auntie. Oh. Oh, Ms. Jasser. What's he ringing me? Oh, I've left my phone upstairs. I'm putting you on speakerphone, Jazza. Tracy's right here. Thanks, hen. All right, Jaz? No. And you won't like it either. How you mean, Martin. Your mate Marley. Yeah, I think last night they might have, you know. No. What? Done the deed, you know, in her house. What? Where I'm not asking him that. You ask Marlene. No, she'll be mortified. I've got to go. See you later, Jazzer. Oh, no, you know what that means, Susan. We'll have to sterilize the place all over again. Oh, no, no, no. Done my bit. You are most definitely on your own with that one. Oh, thanks, Pip. I've been dreaming of flapjacks. Right. There's one for Ed too. Oh, delicious. So have you spoken to Toby? We had a long chat about Rosie pushing her boundaries. Oh, yeah, and he's gonna tell her that she won't be getting a phone. He's telling her? That's good. I promised I'll make extra time for her to call him and video calls so they feel more connected. Oh, great. Oh, look, Pip, I'm sorry if I was a pain this morning. You've got a lot on your plate. Yeah, but it's not your fault I'm stuck between warring old men. No. And I've been thinking about what Rosie asked. Oh. About calling you mum. Thing is that she's got you and Toby separately as parents, hasn't she? Whereas I'm happy being plain old Stella. You know this isn't to do with the mobile phone thing. No, honestly, I just think me and Rosie are great as we are. I don't want to jeopardize that for her sake as much as mine. That's absolutely fine. Good. But, you know, thanks for being here, Pip. This BL thing is so unsettling. It's sort of hanging over me all the time. It'll be over one way or another at the board meeting next week. I just hope I make it out the other side because believe me, something is going to blow. Why is it so early? Amber. Good to see you're up on time. I'm really not a morning girly, Mia. You will be when you see the view I've got to show you. Have you got wellies though? Because the path will be wet from the dew. Mm. Yeah. Clary says I can borrow hers. I do need to be back here by six. Oh, we'll park near the closest footpath. I am really gonna open myself up to this experience, you know. That's a great way to be. It'll help me feel more bonded with George's home. Uh huh. When you're gonna be together forever, you need to truly understand each other's journeys in life to where you are now, you know? Yeah, okay. That's the kind of thing I talk about in my content. Actually, I. I did watch One of your stories, did you? Well, George told me what you do, so. So you thought you'd check it out? Oh, what did you think? I. I shared it with one of my housemates because, well, she was sort of struggling with her self image, I guess, and so she needed a boost. Oh. Oh, that's so amazing, Mia. I. I hope it inspired her loads. I. I just knew I would get on with George's sister. Good. Should we go then? Yes, let's do it. You okay? Yeah. I thought I heard thunder. Oh, must have been dreaming. Weatherman said another nice day. That's great for the harvest, Jolene. And happy farmers. Ah, thirsty customers. Oh, you settle down, Tortoise. Dafka. It's not feeding time yet. Oh, what the hell? No, not. No. What set that off? Got to find out, haven't we? Oh, yeah, but. Yeah, okay, we'll both go. Oh, where's it gone? How's we a dressing gown? What are you looking for? The supers are here. Yep, got it. Kenton. What's that doing there? You never know when you'll need it. A hammer. How long's it been there? It doesn't matter. Okay, you ready? Now. We should call the police. No. Timer. Come on. Okay, yeah, I'm right behind you. Oh, thank heavens for that. Well, I can't say anything obvious. Me neither. I'll check the toilets. Yes, all right. Nothing on here. Nope. Yeah, fine. Oh. Oh, Tortoise, my darling. He gave me a fright. Okay, don't you worry, sweetheart. I'll feed you in a minute. The window in the gents was open. Oh, no. Yeah, but the catch has been dodgy for a while, hasn't it? Nick and I were going to fix it this weekend. Was it fully open? No, just a few inches. Do you remember checking it last night? Oh, maybe. Not sure. Nor me. Well, there's nothing gone. Not that I can see, but. But we should still call the police. Zone three was triggered, which is that in here? Oh, yeah, that's right. Well, look, if nothing's missing and the window was already faulty, then. What are you saying? Well, I mean, do we need to bother the police? It's a bit of a coincidence, Kenton. That officer told us to fix the window, though. And you were going to. Makes us look really stupid. No, it makes us look busy, which is what we are. Right. Let's have a coffee, settle the cat down, and work out what to do. Oh, I am so glad I'm filming this. It's better if you just look. But anyway. Oh, don't worry. I'M doing both. Okay. You almost grow a second pair of eyes when you do this all the time. So you never miss a thing. Right? Those beautiful, like, stripes of yellow and orange with all the mist down below. It's. Oh, it's just gonna look fabulous online. No, it feels really kind of transcendent. Do you know what I mean? Transcendent. Heavenly. In a way. It is, yeah. Every morning. That's right. Every morning I am gonna say that here's another beautiful day bursting with the yellow of hope and the orange of positivity. Oh, look, someone's using a drone. That's George's drone. Ed's getting footage for their website before and after, you know, of the tree surgery. That's a great idea. I'm gonna share it with my father, but he needs to be able to fly it properly. Is it easy to use? George says it is, once you're used to it. Gosh, I will never get bored of this view. Sometimes I think maybe I take it for granted, but I still remember coming up here for the first time with Mum. Oh. I did want to say sorry about your mum. Oh, it was a while ago, Amber. Seven years now. Seven years, five months. You were so young. Well, it was worse for Poppy. She just started school. Horrendous for all of you. Yeah, Will was. Well, he didn't really cope, Poor guy. The love of his life just Gone. Yeah. I can't even imagine it. Well, you realize how fragile things are. How breakable. Would you like a hug? I'm all right. But thanks anyway. You had your family around you. Both families. Thank goodness. Family is what the Grundys do best. That's what George says. That's probably true. I wish my family were like yours, but. Well, you can't have everything. And I've got George, so. Talking of family, I wanted to say about Chelsea. I'd rather not. She is sorry about school, Amber. And she wants to fix it. So maybe she could do your wedding makeup and your hair for free. And she knows about local venues. So what is she sorry about exactly? Everything. See, it's. It's no good being generally sorry, Mia. You have to know exactly what you're sorry for, otherwise it doesn't count. But she's. She's grown up loads. And. And I mean well. And she's always helping Brad, so she should. He's her brother now. He is totally different. I know that. Do you think you two will get back together? Oh, Mia, it's obvious he still likes you. And George reckons you are perfect. For each other, George. He never stopped taking the mickey. Anyway, why not have a chat with Chelsea? And I know you mean well, but I have got enough negativity weighing me down, you know? Well, maybe just give her a chance. We. We best get back. I want to edit this for my socials. Okay, you head on down. I just want to be here for another minute. No worries. I'll see you at the car. Mia. At last. I've been here ages. I'm really sorry. She won't do it, huh? Amber? She won't talk to you. You what? I tried so hard, but she won't budge. You said the sunrise would weave its magic, but I thought it would. But I just want to make it better. Why won't she let me? I guess she needs more time. We'll keep trying. I think you're a brilliant person, Chelsea. You're kind and you care. And you're a good friend too. Everyone can see that. Not everyone. But thanks. She will. Funny how they called us the popular girls when all we did was make ourselves unpopular and upset people without realizing. You probably did realize. You just weren't really bothered. Yeah, Maybe you were right though. The sunrise was amazing. I have such a good feeling about you and Amber. I literally just got rejected again. When you do finally talk, you'll realise you've got so much in common. Yeah, well, tell Amber that I'm sorry. Kenton. I'm ringing them as soon as we've finished our coffee. But what difference will it make? There's no way they'll dust the gents window for Prince, is there? They'll just tell us off. We're not fixing it. They're going to tell me off. And nothing has gone, Nothing's broken, nothing's even moved. So what does that mean? Can we please stay calm? It means we. We're getting paranoid. Which is exactly what Marky would want. We are playing right into his hands. I get that, I do. But we still need to log it with the police. Tortoise. Where's she playing at? Hey. Hey. Come here, sweetie. What's up with her? Maybe she don't like the shouting. Is someone out the front? I can smell burning. How do you mean? What's burning? Our sign is on fire. You're kidding. It's going up in flames. Right, get the extinguisher. Can you open the doors? Yeah, we'll do. Okay. I hope this works. Hurry up, damn it. Oh no. Our lovely sign. Quite. Kenton, point it upwards. Got it. Is that all? Anything else? No, that's it. Yeah. I think that's all. Lucky it hadn't took hold. Well, it's ruined. A lovely sign. Look at it. I know, but thank heavens it hadn't spread. I got to it just in time. Did you see anybody? No. Did you? No. But they must have been. Been outside all the time. We were searching the pub, watching us. What's stopping them? Our front cameras got smashed on Sunday, didn't they? So don't you tell me that that was a coincidence. I'm ringing the police right now. Thanks very much, Inspector. Yeah, I appreciate it. Okay. Bye, then. He's sending a team straight away. Kenton. What's that? What does it look like? But Tortoise found it by the fruit machine. Why would a dog's collared be there? Yeah, and it definitely wasn't there when we closed up last night. No, he wouldn't dare. What? Come on, Jolene. It couldn't be clearer. I can wreck your cars.
