Arthur
Hey, podcast people. Hear those footsteps walking down the street? That is the sound of the most amazing, totally incredible new Bionic Bunny sneakers. It took me forever to save enough money to buy these. I worked for weeks, but now I got them, and I love them. I'm on my way to Muffy's for Sunday game day. We hang out in her game room and she gives us snacks. Let's see who notices my sneakers first.
Arthur, welcome to Sunday game day. Ooh, nice sneakers. I don't even have a pair like that, but I wish I did.
Thanks, Muffy.
Come on, everyone is downstairs. Binky and Buster were just starting an air hockey tournament.
Francine
Hey, Arthur.
Buster
Wow.
Francine
Love your new kicks.
Arthur
Thanks. Hey, everyone.
Binky
I dig those bright red laces and.
D.W.
The bionic bunny ears on the front.
Buster
Amazing.
Arthur
I'll tell you what's going to be amazing. My dad's party at Crossfire Motors. Daddy said I can have a dj, a gourmet pretzel cart, and a.
Francine
Isn't his party to announce the new cars at his dealership?
Arthur
Yes, Francine, but Daddy wants me to have fun, too. Okay, cucumber kale smoothies are ready.
Binky
Aw, no cookies.
Arthur
I'm on a health kick. Besides, these smoothies are delicious. I'll put yours right behind you, Binky.
Francine
Anybody want to play Stareball?
Arthur
That game you made up?
PBS Kids Announcer
No.
Binky
It's time for me to destroy Buster in air hockey.
D.W.
You're on, Binky.
Buster
I'll play the winner.
Arthur
Buster starts with a strong shot, but.
Francine
Binky swats it away.
Arthur
Buster sends that puck around the table.
Francine
They're really speeding it up now.
Buster
And it's in.
Binky
Oh, yeah. Wait till you feel the strength of my super shot.
Arthur
You knocked your smoothie over, Binky.
Onto my new sneakers.
Buster
You ruined them.
Binky
What happened?
Arthur
Muffy happened.
Buster
Muffy, why did you put pinky smoothie right behind him? And why did you make it green? Arthur, relax. Relax? Look at my shoes. I worked weeks and weeks to get these, and they're ruined.
Arthur
I am outta here. And don't follow me. Why is this ball on the stairs?
Muffy
Ha.
Binky
Who knew that one ball kick could knock over a pinball machine, a wall of board games, and a blender full of smoothies?
D.W.
I'VE never seen Arthur get so angry.
Buster
His fists were clenched so tight.
Francine
Maybe you should apologize.
Arthur
Me?
Buster
I didn't do anything.
Binky
It was just an accident. Everyone knows I can't control my super sh.
Muffy
Oh, look.
D.W.
Arthur left his podcasting stuff. It's still recording. Hi, Podcast Nation. I'll get you back to Arthur on my way home.
Arthur
Okay, Maybe everyone should go home. Arthur turned this day into a disaster.
Binky
Okay, Sorry, Muffy.
Francine
Good luck, Muffy.
Arthur
Bye, everyone.
D.W.
Podcast Nation, Binky and I are walking up to Arthur's house.
Binky
Whoa, Buster. Look at that.
D.W.
Arthur's fence is broken. Like someone snapped the post.
Muffy
Wow.
Binky
Arthur is even more mad than I thought. If he's destroying his own house.
D.W.
Come on, we'll talk with him.
Hey, Dwell, why did you make Arthur play in a swamp?
Binky
What? We didn't do that.
D.W.
Well, he stomped home with green gunk all over his feet.
Can we talk with him?
No.
Buster
When he came home, he yelled, I'm.
D.W.
Never ever talking to any of my friends again.
He really said that?
That is a quote.
Binky
Oh, I guess we'll just see him at school then.
D.W.
Okay. And stay out of swamps, weirdos.
Buster
What's going on?
D.W.
This isn't like Arthur at all.
Binky
It's like there are two Arthurs. Normal Arthur and super tight fist Mad Arthur.
D.W.
I wonder which one is coming to school tomorrow. Hey, Podcast Nation, I'm at school and everyone is talking about Arthur.
Arthur
And it took Bailey, my butler, hours to clean up her game room.
Binky
And then Arthur went on a rampage and ripped out his own fence.
Francine
You think it was Arthur who dented the slide on the playground?
Binky
Maybe with his super mad fists?
D.W.
Who knows what he's gonna do next?
What?
Arthur
Who's going to do next?
Francine
Arthur, you scared us. Time for class. Come on, everyone.
Arthur
We can all go in where we're safe.
Muffy
Safe.
Arthur
Safe.
Binky
Morning. Morning. Settle down. All right, everybody, time to review our vocabulary list. Pens and notebooks out, please. First word is gigantic. G, I, G, A, N, T, I, C. Come on.
Arthur
Oh, shoot. My pen isn't working. Oh, maybe if I shake it.
Binky
Whoops. Whoa. That was a near hit. Everything okay, Arthur?
Buster
Yeah, my pen was just.
D.W.
It's okay, Arthur. Just stay calm. You can borrow one of my pens.
Arthur
Oh, thanks, Buster.
Muffy
Yeah.
Francine
Don't get mad, Arthur.
Arthur
I'm not mad.
Binky
Let's start that again, shall we? Radiant. R A D I A N T.
D.W.
We're in the cafeteria now, Podcast Nation.
Binky
That's a boring intro, Buster. Try this. Pay attention, Podcast Nation. Arthur Reed has become a menace.
Francine
Did you see him throw that pen at Mr. Ratburn.
Binky
He could have poked his eye out.
Arthur
Hey, is that Arthur in the lunch line?
D.W.
Yeah, he's getting a tray, but it looks like it's stuck.
Muffy
And.
Arthur
Oh, no.
Francine
He knocked over all those cafeteria trays.
Binky
Super Mad Fist Arthur strikes again.
Arthur
If he keeps acting like this, I cannot invite him to my daddy's party.
Buster
You have to.
D.W.
It'll really hurt his feelings if you don't.
Arthur
Hey, everyone.
Buster
Arthur. We were just finishing up, but you're welcome to the table.
Francine
Yeah.
Buster
Bye, Arthur.
Francine
Oh, and.
D.W.
And, Arthur, here's your podcasting stuff.
Arthur
You.
D.W.
You left it at Muffy's.
Arthur
I was gonna ask her, but then everybody took off. Why is everyone acting so strange?
D.W.
Buster, it's more like you're strange, Arthur.
Arthur
What?
D.W.
It's your temper. Everyone is afraid of you.
Arthur
But I'm the calmest person I know.
D.W.
You weren't calm at Muffy's house.
Arthur
That was because of my shoes. So everyone's freaking out because I got a little mad at Muffy's.
Binky
A little mad?
D.W.
Arthur, give me a recorder.
Arthur
I am outta here. And don't follow me. Why is this ball on the stairs?
Muffy
Ha.
D.W.
The ball knocked over the pinball machine, the whole game wall, and the smoothies.
Binky
Oh, no.
Arthur
I didn't mean to do all that.
D.W.
And then you ripped out your fence, threw a pen at Mr. Ratburn, and destroyed the cafeteria trays. But everyone is calling you Suit Super Mad Fist Arthur.
Arthur
What?
D.W.
Well, see you in class, Arthur.
Buster
Buster, Wait.
Arthur
I didn't.
D.W.
I.
Arthur
I guess this is a table for one. Well, that was a bad day. I'm not Super Mad Fist Arthur. I just got mad. Podcast people, what do you do when you get mad? I'm checking my inbox to see what you have to say.
When I'm mad, I take two deep breaths and count to four. When I'm angry, I shout stomp. And I do a groaning noise. I stop my feet when I'm mad. When I'm mad, I like going in.
Buster
My room to color.
Arthur
When I'm mad, I listen to music, I make angry faces, and I tell my mom that I'm mad. When I get mad, I squish a pillow.
Those are good ideas. I guess I gotta figure out what works for me.
Binky
Arthur, dinner after dinner? Here's some stir fry for you, Arthur.
Arthur
Thanks, dad.
D.W.
Hey, dad, what happened to our fence?
Buster
Oh, that?
Binky
I may have bumped into it while I was parking. Sometimes accidents just happened. So how was school, Arthur?
Arthur
Fine. My friends were acting a little weird.
D.W.
He's mad at them.
Binky
DW did you and your Friends have a fight, Arthur?
Arthur
Not exactly. They spilled stuff on my new sneakers.
D.W.
And he got really mad.
Buster
Wouldn't you just.
D.W.
Don't have another meltdown, Arthur.
Arthur
I am not having a meltdown. I never have meltdowns.
Buster
Why am I yelling?
Arthur
Beats me.
Buster
Maybe I am super mad.
Arthur
Fist.
D.W.
Arthur, everybody gets mad sometimes. That's what Mrs. Morgan says.
Arthur
Mrs. Morgan, your preschool teacher?
Yep.
D.W.
She says it's what you do when you're mad that matters.
Binky
So what do you do?
D.W.
DW first thing, I blame everything on Arthur.
Arthur
Figures.
D.W.
But when that doesn't work, I yell.
Buster
Wiki wacky tiki tacky flippity floppity floop.
Binky
Excuse me?
D.W.
I say something really silly. Mrs. Morgan says that when you do that, you forget that you're so mad.
Arthur
And that's no.
D.W.
Then I do a timeout and take three deep breaths. Then I feel better.
Binky
And, Arthur, if you do think you overreacted, apologizing never hurts either.
Arthur
Yeah, I guess you're right. Like you said, sometimes accidents just happen. I probably shouldn't have gotten so worked up.
D.W.
If we're talking about things that we shouldn't have done, there are a few projects I need to miss.
Arthur
Hello, Muffy Craftfire speaking.
Hey, Muffy, it's Arthur. I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I really shouldn't have yelled at you.
No, you shouldn't have.
And I never meant to wreck your game room. That was an accident.
I get it. I get mad myself sometimes.
Well, I'm. I'm so sorry.
Apology accepted.
Thanks, Muffy. See you tomorrow at my party.
Muffy
Sure.
Arthur
But I do not want to see super madness, Arthur.
Okay, you got it, Muffy.
Buster
Bye. Bye, podcast people. You're not gonna believe this. The kale smoothie did not ruin my new sneakers.
Arthur
The smoothie just dried, and then it kind of crumbled off. They look brand new again.
Buster
Just in time for Muffy's party.
Arthur
Welcome to the Crossfire Motors new car bonanza. The tire bounces by the luxury sedans. The gourmet hot pretzel booth is open.
Francine
With pretzels shaped like steering wheels and.
Arthur
My beautiful bumpers fashion show is starting soon.
Binky
This party is awesome. Anyone want one of those pretzels?
D.W.
Totally.
Muffy
Yes.
Arthur
You bet.
Binky
Four pretzels, please. Here you go, kids.
Muffy
Thank you.
Binky
I want mustard.
D.W.
Hey, Binky, pass me the mustard when you're.
Muffy
Oops. No.
Binky
That mustard squirt was epic. It went everywhere.
Buster
Oh, no.
Francine
It went right on Arthur's shoes again.
Arthur
Seriously.
Buster
Wiki wacky ticky tacky flibbity flabbity floo.
Francine
Uh, Arthur, wait.
Muffy
One, two.
Arthur
Three.
Binky
I'm really sorry about your sneakers, Arthur.
Arthur
It's okay. It was an accident. Sometimes accidents just happen. Napkin.
Buster
Here, look, they're wiping clean.
Muffy
Phew. Phew.
Binky
Oh, good.
Francine
Arthur, what was that thing you yelled?
Arthur
Um, something DW told me to do.
Francine
You're listening to DW now?
Arthur
Just this once. And you can never tell her. You either, broadcast people, you are hereby sworn born to secrecy.
Francine
Wanna go to the tire bounce?
D.W.
Sure.
Arthur
Bye, podcast people. I gotta go see how highly's bionic bunny sneakers make me jump.
Buster
Hear you next time.
Binky
Let's get my pretzel.
Francine
Come on, everybody.
Buster
Hello, buster.
Muffy
Let's go. This is gonna be great.
Buster
Come on.
