Hey, my name is Chris Brennan. And joining me today is astrologer Leisa Schaim. And this is your year ahead horoscope and astrology forecast for the zodiac sign of Aries for the entire year of 2026. So, hey, Leisa, thanks for joining me for our horoscopes this year.
A
Hey, Chris. Glad to be here.
B
Yeah. So for our horoscopes, we would recommend focusing on your rising sign if you know your birth time, but if you don't, you can also look at the one for your sun sign. So we're gonna focus on a big picture overview of the major trends and themes this year. So let's go ahead and right into it right from the start. So here is the planetary movements calendar that shows where the planets will start at the beginning of the year and where they'll end up by the end of the year. But for the purpose of your rising sign of Aries, we're gonna focus on these transits in particular and how they're moving through different houses or sectors of your birth chart. And we're gonna focus with the first transit that happens right at the beginning of the year, which is that Saturn and Neptune both move into the sign of Aries, which is your rising, and then move into a conjunction in your first house. Here's a diagram that shows the significations of the houses that you can refer to later. And here is this Saturn transit of Saturn going into Aries, where it dipped in for the first time last year in the middle of 2025. But now it's going back into Aries and it's gonna stay there for the next couple of years all the way through 2028, whereas Neptune is doing the same thing, but it's gonna last all the way until 2039. So that's the beginning of a major long term transit in that sign. And it's gonna start off with kind of a bang by having Saturn and Neptune conjoin right at 0 degrees of Aries on February 20th. So those are some of the major energies that are gonna dominate the initial part of the year, starting in the first couple of months. Yeah.
A
Mm, yeah, definitely. So up to this point, especially the last few years, there's been a lot of focus on behind the scenes energy for you, potentially some losses and just kind of retiring away. But now the energy is coming to your first house of self, identity, appearance, body, sometimes health and Saturn and Neptune together. Sometimes structures can kind of dissolve that were there previously, but it can be a time to make a new dream come into form, into reality. Whereas old dreams can be kind of ending at this point.
B
Yeah, so that's definitely good news. With having Saturn and Neptune depart from your 12th house, which can be an area where sometimes we deal with issues with people we don't get along with in our life, can tend to be more prominent, as well as sometimes issues surrounding mental health. So that period is moving into the past and now we're moving into this new period. Especially with Saturn going through your first house over the next couple of years, where the focus is more on the body as well as the mind. And, and sometimes people can start working on their body more during this period and doing things to restructure things like their diet, their exercise regime, or sometimes even health related things can just become more of the focus over the next couple of years.
A
Right. And with Neptune it's a much slower transit, but with Saturn conjoining Neptune there, there can be kind of like a slow dissolving of who you thought you were in the past and, and then sort of concretizing new senses of who you are, which can sound kind of broad, but it's super important to everything else that you do in your life.
B
Yeah, absolutely. So this transit, Neptune goes into Aries in January and then Saturn goes into Aries in February. So it's basically lasting for the entire rest of the year. And the first part of it is gonna be the most intense because when Saturn, Neptune come together, it's gonna complete what I've been calling the distortion field that's become really intense over the past two to three years, Ever since Saturn moved into Pisces in March of 2023. And there's gonna be some tensions between telling what's real and what's not real. And this is gonna come into particular focus when it comes to your personality, your physical appearance and things related to your body. So I think that's gonna be the trick during the course of this transit, is trying to balance the more realistic things of sometimes being self critical and looking at things critically that we'd like to improve with respect to our body and our appearance versus the other hand, having a more idealized take on things that tends to be sometimes more aspirational in terms of wanting to manifest certain things in the future and finding some sort of balance between those two. And it might be kind of tricky while Saturn and Neptune are exactly conjoined because the tendency to be more divorced from reality is to be more prominent. But as those two move apart, I think we're going to be able to start Coping with some of that energy a little bit better, and things will become a little bit clearer.
A
Right. So you can have some energy of like, what optimistically or idealistically, you want to be, you know, in the world. And then the Saturn part of it is like, what of that can you make real? Which will only be probably a portion of it. It's also one of the health houses, so it's not the case that health things will come up for everyone. But if they do, during the course of this transit, It's a good time to get second opinions because of that aforementioned reality versus distortion piece.
B
All right, so that's the first major transit of the year, Especially in the January, February timeframe. That just represents such a distinct phase. And the other major transit that happens in the following couple of months is our first eclipse season, which takes place in February and March of 2026, where we're gonna have a solar eclipse in the sign of Aquarius in the middle of February, and then a lunar eclipse in the sign of Virgo on March 3. And these eclipses are important because Aquarius is your 11th house of friends and groups and alliances, and the sixth house, Virgo, is your sixth house of work and health and things related to that area. So with eclipses, we always expect them to be major endings and major begin happening in those two areas of your life. So with respect to 11th house things, that's with respect to friends and groups, sometimes you'll see some friendships ending at this point and you'll see other new friendships beginning. But sometimes these new beginnings will happen subtly, and you won't realize at first how significant of a new beginning that is. I think that's one of the major themes with eclipses.
A
Yeah, yeah, definitely. Beginnings and endings of chapters of your life with respect to those topics. And it's kind of an exclamation point as well. The longer Pluto transit that started a couple years ago and really got into full force in 2025 with respect to friends and groups for you, which is much more gradual, long term death and rebirth energy. And it'll depend on the specifics of your chart as to when that intensifies. But Aquarius eclipses, which are just starting, this is gonna be the first of several. Will kind of put a little exclamation mark at those points with regard to that longer term process.
B
Yeah, for sure. So major beginnings and endings with friends and groups is part of that eclipse, and it's part of a new series of eclipses over the next couple of years. But then also we're seeing the continuation of an eclipse series from last year in Virgo, which is major beginnings and major endings in your sixth house of work and health. So this may be echoing some of the themes that we've already been seeing with Saturn moving into your first house over the past year, where there's a greater focus on the body and the physical constitution for some reason. And sometimes that can be addressing health issues before they come up. Sometimes it can be addressing issues after they come up. Sometimes people take a more proactive approach to their health during this time, like starting to go to the gym, let's say, for the first time, if that's not something you already do, or starting some other major diet or exercise regime can be really important when you're having sixth house activations like this to sort of get ahead of health things. Another major area, though, that can come up is just beginnings and endings when it comes to your work and comes to workplace situations like either ending one job or perhaps getting a new one.
A
Yeah, that's happened a lot that I've seen in people's charts. When there's eclipses in the sixth, there's new jobs, ending of jobs. It can also be things around people you work with or people who you hire to do any work for you, even one off. It doesn't have to be regular employees, Although if you have employees, they also go in the sixth house. And then things involving pets or other animals can come up as well. So it could be like you suddenly decide to get a new cat or something like that. As a sixth house topic.
B
Absolutely. Yeah. All right, so that's eclipse season one in February and March, and then we move on next to. In April, the planet Uranus enters the sign of Gemini, where it's gonna stay for the next six or seven years. And that's moving from your second house of finances into your third house of communication, short distance travel, neighbors, and extended relatives. So this is some major unexpected changes and shakeups, but also it can be a time of liberation and greater freedom in this area of your life, which can really be a quite positive thing.
A
Right. So with Uranus going through your second house of personal income and finances for the past almost seven years, many people with Aries rising will have had a lot of shakeups and unexpected changes, but also innovations around how you make money. Oftentimes when people have Uranus going through there, it's like times of freelance jobs or piecemeal work or things of that nature. It can also be a time of integrating more technology to how you make A living. And so I'm mentioning that because Uranus will still be there for the first third of the year through April, and in particular in February, there'll be one last accentuation of that energy in that area of your life, because Uranus will do one last station where it looks like it's slowing down to change direction and temporarily sits in one spot longer than usual in February. And then a bunch of inner planets make squares to that placement all month. So February is kind of the last hurrah for that innovation energy in your second house of income. And then it moves into the third house, where usually when Uranus goes into the third house, people are a lot more suddenly communicative. That's like people being more online, on social media, things of that nature. They can also innovate around how they communicate. I know that you have some examples of that, right?
B
Yeah, I started podcasting when Uranus would enter my third house really closely.
A
Mm, exactly. And that's both innovating how you communicate to others, but also bringing in that additional technology piece and also technological innovations. So that can be a greater part of your life. With Uranus going into your third, it can also relate to just stuff going on in your siblings lives, if you have siblings or extended relatives. Sometimes when a planet goes into a house, that refers to other people in your life, it's not always things that you're doing in your own life. Sometimes it's something that's happening with those people. And so your siblings could suddenly do surprising things. They could suddenly change their life in a major way. Things of that nature.
B
Yeah, absolutely. It can also be major changes in your neighborhood or your local city environment sometimes. Sometimes they're ones, though, that are unexpected or disruptive. But it can also be quite an exciting time where there's some sort of excitement or greater sense of movement and things developing rapidly than usual in your local. Your immediate residence and home. So interesting stuff there.
A
And this is one of the transits that we got a little Preview of in 2025. So especially in the second half of 2025, you will have gotten a little taste of what that is like in your third house.
B
Right. But now it's going in there for good for most of the rest of this decade, until the early 2000s. Okay, so let's move on, because now we're starting to get into June, when the next major shift is that Jupiter moves from the sign of cancer, from your fourth whole sign house of home and living situation and family, and Jupiter's gonna move from that Area in the first half of the year to the sign of Leo in the second half of the year, which is your fifth house of children, of the sign of hobbies and games, as well as sex and sexuality, and the place of what brings you joy and pleasure in life in general, which can be actually very positive and qu Transit for just having a good time in the entire second half of this year. And then that'll be a year long transit starting in June.
A
Right. So the first half of the year we'll still have Jupiter in Cancer, which started in the summer of 2025. So this is the second half of that transit. So bringing expansiveness and greater ease potentially and abundance around home, family, things involving your parents, private life, and then it moves into your fifth house with those topics you mentioned. For Aries Rising, especially in the second half of the year, there'll be a lot of activation, which we'll mention a couple other pieces of soon with regard to the fifth house. So expansiveness around children. So some people could actually have children at this time or conceived children, but creative work is really expansive here and just enjoying yourself more than usual. And I think this is actually really nice for Aries Rising in particular, because you've had such long transits that are more heavy in your 12th house. So you kind of had this reclusive energy of dealing with stuff behind the scenes. And now this is a much more forthright, positive, warm, expansive energy.
B
Yeah. Especially for those born during the day with day charts. If your birth chart is a day chart with the sun in the top half of the chart, you're going to experience this Jupiter transit as the most positive one this year, where it's moving from the home and family sector to the fun and games sector of your life. And sometimes this can be a good time to take up a new hobby or to experiment with just bringing joy and pleasure and enjoyment into your life more. And for some of you, it's gonna be starting a new hobby or starting to do something else, which really fills you with a greater sense of joy for about a year, basically, as long as this transit is lasting for about a year, which is overall pretty positive.
A
Mm, definitely. Yeah, I like the looks of that one.
B
Yeah, absolutely. So speaking of the Jupiter transit, around this time, there's a Venus Jupiter conjunction in Cancer just before Jupiter moves into Leo. And that's one of the more auspicious alignments that happens this year. And you and I just released our 2026 electional astrology report where we went through and picked out the most fortunate dates in 2026, and basically selected two auspicious electional charts and dates for each of the next 12 months. And this area around June was one of the more positive areas of the year because you have this really auspicious Venus Jupiter conjunction around that time. So, for example, that's a great chart, for example, for getting married. And I think I heard already that I mentioned in passing in the report that I thought Taylor Swift might get married around that time. And then we saw in the tabloids recently that was announced that she may actually get married on June 13th. So that was one of the things we did in this report was just try to identify some of those best times in the year for people that take actions.
A
Right. So basically anything you want to start or any important actions you want to take during the year, electional charts are good for finding the most auspicious time periods to do those for the best possible results, the best chances of success. But you basically. So we picked out two for every single month of next year and some bonus charts. We made it a little bigger this year than usual. So there's lots of charts to choose from.
B
Yeah. So it also includes a monthly forecast for each month that goes into greater detail as well as what dates to avoid, because sometimes electional astrology is just as much about what dates you should avoid doing things on versus just figuring out what dates are the best ones. So our report includes video, audio, and written report. There's over 28 charts, plus tutorials. You can use it for business, for your love life, or for major events like starting major things. And we're doing a launch sale for this month only until January, where it's just $49.95. And then the price is going to go up to $65 at the beginning of next year. So you can get the report@theastrologypodcast.com 2026report. All right, so that takes us into the second half of the year, and the next major thing that comes up that we need to talk about is we get our second eclipse season from August until early September coming up. And this is important because this eclipse season is gonna shift signs and it's gonna take place in Leo and Pisces, which is your fifth house of fun and games and hobbies and children and other things like that, but also your 12th house, which is the house that has more to do with people you don't get along with in your life, as well as sometimes issues related to mental health and just taking care of yourself in terms of that and on that level.
A
Right. So this is going to be the first Leo eclipse of that series. We got the first Aquarius in spring. Now we have the first Leo. And so that's just again, beginnings and important beginnings and endings. With regard to those fifth house topics, we were talking about children, pleasure, creative output, hobbies, etc. Things that bring you joy. And so that's what I was mentioning about. There's going to be an accentuation in this area a few times for Aries rising this year. So that can be a great time to start new hobbies, to start new creative projects, to kind of get your. If you have creative work to get that out there into the world, sort of having a brighter light shining on it and so forth. And then the 12th House eclipse, it's the last one in Pisces. We've had a bunch in Pisces. We've had Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. You've had a lot of accentuation of that 12th house of seclusion. So this, fortunately, is that last little one. So this is kind of the end cap of all of that 12th house energy for you. Yeah. And after this it will just move on.
B
Yeah, that's awesome. I think the fifth house eclipse is emphasizing the Jupiter transit. And so for some people, that's absolutely going to be things involving children, like having children. I could see could be a thing having eclipses taking place there, plus Jupiter going into that sign could be a good thing for children. There will be some stuff that'll come up later in the year that we'll see in early the following year with the Mars retrograde there, that's a little bit more tricky, but at least during this time frame, that could be good for topics related to children or related to sex and sexuality and other things like that. Some major new beginnings in that area as well as major endings with the 12th house one. I'm glad you mentioned that this is the final eclipse that's taking place in Pisces because it really does end a long sequence going back to at least 20, 23, not just with eclipses, but with Saturn going through there. So I think this is going to be things coming full circle and bringing to completion a series of major beginnings and endings and a series of major changes that have happened with respect to either, especially mental health issues that people have been dealing with and sort of bringing some close to some of the lessons that you learned from that and some of the growth that you've had over the past few years, but also in terms of people that you don't get along with in your life. And in some instances, perhaps learning to stand up for yourself and learning how to deal with people either that you don't get along with or just outright enemies in your life and having some final moment with that in order to bring that chapter to completion and then move on either from that conflict or move on from that relationship in general.
A
Mm, right. For sure. And also, you know, that movement out of the 12th house this year for Aries Rising and into first house and fifth house, things which are much more outward into the world. This is kind of like one last little look at what you've been dealing with kind of behind the scenes. And so if you have felt more secluded. I know I've talked with some Aries Rising people who've had a lot of that going on. If you feel a little bit of accentuation around that theme again during this time and you get worried, like, oh, no, I thought I was done with this. This really will be the last spotlight on that area, and then you really will be moving more out into the world for a good long while.
B
Yeah, I like that. One last hurrah of introspection before. We have a lot of outward movement this year as everything moves into fire signs and out of the watery signs. And, yeah, it gets a lot more interesting and a lot more exciting. So that is the eclipse season. It's mainly in August, but it kind of bleeds over a little bit into early September. The next major thing that we need to talk about is the Venus retrograde in Scorpio and Libra that happens in. In October through November of this year especially. It's really centered on that because that's when Venus will slow down and start moving backwards from our vantage point in the sky. And that's going to be taking place in your eighth house of shared resources as well as your seventh house of relationships. That's a pretty important transit that's going to dominate two completely different sectors of the chart having to do with relationships and the role of other people in your life that we haven't necessarily seen activated up to this point in this year.
A
So Venus retrogrades in general have you revisiting connections, and especially with Aries Rising for it being in the eighth and seventh houses this year, it'll be revisiting your shared resources, things that connect you materially or financially with other people, especially because then it goes back into your seventh house, which is partnership, either personal or business. So for some people, they could be reworking a business partnership and going, what's mine, what's yours. Is our relationship fair? Is our financial distribution fair? Things of that nature and similarly that can go on in personal relationships as well.
B
Yeah, absolutely. Shared resources and other people's money and tying together relationships. And it may actually tie together those two areas of your life. So I saw one recently of a celebrity that was working on a prenuptial agreement. And so that would actually be something that'd be funny in terms of working out something like that, of how do you connect shared resources and your partner's money with just the partnership and the idea of being in a partnership or even a marriage with another person, as you said, because it's a retrograde. Retrogrades often have a backwards looking component. So there can be things from the past, especially relationships or financial agreements that were made in the past that come up for review again at this time in your life for some reason. Sometimes that can literally be, in this instance, relationships from the past coming back into your life in the present for some reason to revisit them, either in some instances to restart an old relationship with an old flame, or in other instances, it can just be looking back and remembering good parts of a relationship, even if you don't necessarily want to go back there and stay there.
A
Yeah, definitely. With Venus retrogrades in general, people often talk about old relationships popping back up. But it's gonna be especially the case if it's going through your seventh house, as it will be for Aries rising this year. And yeah, the first part of it, as it's actually retrograde, much better time for revisiting what did happen or what has happened. And then once it goes direct, it's more about implementing a new revisited agreement. But you kind of have to revisit it first before you implement what you want to do going forward.
B
Yeah, for sure. The last thing is just because the eighth house can also deal with mortality, it can be a good time to focus on those things and connecting it with relationships. It could be like, you know, working out a will for you and your partner, for example, and that especially for those of you with night charts, this is actually gonna be the most positive transit of the year, the activation of these two sectors. So if you're born at night, I think this is actually a transit to look forward to where some really good things could come out of it, especially in the relationship sector of your life.
A
Mm, yeah, definitely. Yeah. And as you said, connecting those two, like wills, life insurance, I think about actually if, you know, some people will be like, maybe having children with Those fifth house activations, people often think about getting life insurance when they either like, buy property or have kids. And that's where the Jupiter transits are happening in your life. This year for Aries Rising is expanding your home and living situation and expanding around the children or creativity area.
B
Yeah. And the last thing is, if you want some insight about what this Venus retrograde is going to be about in October, November, just think back in eight year increments, because this Venus retrograde repeats in the same part of our every eight years, roughly around the same part of the year. So eight years ago would be October through November of what, 2018 was the last time this Venus retrograde happened. And if there was any seventh or eighth house things that came up at that time that could give you a clue about how this transit could activate your chart in some ways, or if you think back eight years before that, that's October, November of 2010, and so on and so forth. So sometimes you can look back into the past in order to predict the future.
A
Right, for sure.
B
All right. So our last major transit now to get to the very end of the year is in the last quarter of the year. Basically, this Mars retrograde transit starts building up, and Mars doesn't actually go retrograde until the beginning of January, but Mars has already entered into the two signs that it's gonna go retrograde in, which are Leo and Virgo, starting in September through December. And this is connecting your fifth house of children and fun and games and pleasure and enjoyment, and your sixth house of work and health. So it's important to start paying attention to this transit just because it's setting up some major themes in the last quarter of the year, basically, that are gonna become even more prominent and more of the focus in early 2027.
A
Right, definitely. And so you're gonna start to get some inklings as we go through the fall of 2026 of what may need reworking. Mars retrograde is often about reworking something in a certain area of your life. And so going through those two houses and you don't really need to do anything per se with it, I don't think so far it's more about. If you know about it ahead of time, you can pay attention to what is coming up in those two areas of your life between September and December. And those are the areas in which you will then start reworking some of that material, some of those topics in your life in the beginning of 2027.
B
Right, for sure. So in terms of a Mars retrograde, sometimes it can Bring up tension or conflicts or strife in this instance, connecting your fifth house of, let's say, children and your sixth house of health. So there could be some sort of challenge there that arises in terms of. That it can also be a challenge in terms of, let's say, there can be romantic things that come up in the fifth house. And then the sixth house can be work things. So you kind of want to be careful. If those two areas were mixed in your life in some way during this time, it could bring some challenges or some tricky situations. But in the positive side of things, because sometimes it can be more positive, especially for those of you with night charts, then it can be just putting an extra amount of work and energy and focus into those two areas of your life for an extended period of time. Since this transit is gonna last for something like eight or nine months, that it's gonna be hanging out these two signs of your chart. So working more with children, for example, maybe you start taking your child to work or they start becoming involved in your workplace more often, for example, could be a more constructive scenario for that transit.
A
Right, for sure. And in addition to the reworking theme, Mars will already. I mean, in addition to it staying there for eight or nine months in total between 2026 and 2027, even in the fall of 2026, Mars will be slowing down to approach that retrograde. And so it's already going to be spending a longer time in those two areas even before the retrograde starts. So, yeah, it's gonna be just a lot of extra attention on those two areas.
B
Yeah, I know somebody who had a Venus retrograde in the fifth and sixth last year, and they had some health issues, but then their adult child moved back in with them to take care of them. So it brought them closer together. So sometimes there can be an interesting overlaps like that between two houses when you have a planet retrograding between those two houses of the chart. So pay attention to potential crossovers between those two areas that can work out in different ways. All right, well, that's already the final transit I wanted to talk about for 2026, because we're already getting into. It's dragging us into the astrology of 2027 already. And I think that's probably good then for this year. Ahead, horoscope for Aries for 2026. So, as we said, these are your transits, your major transits for 2026.
