B
Hey, my name is Chris Brennan and this is your year ahead horoscope and astrology forecast for the zodiac sign of Leo for the entire year of 2026. Joining me today is astrologer Leisa Schaim. Hey, Leisa, thanks for joining me for horoscopes this year.
A
Hey, Chris. Glad to be here.
B
All right, so for our horoscopes, we'd recommend watching the one that matches your rising sign because that's gonna give you the best forecast if you know your birth time. If you don't know your birth time, then you can also watch the one that matches your sun sign. And we're gonna give kind of a big picture overview of the major transits and over the course of the next year. So let's go ahead and jump right into it. So here's the planetary movements calendar that shows the movements of the planets throughout the course of the year. And here's the major transits we're going to be focusing on over the course of 2026. The first one is that Saturn and Neptune at the very beginning of the year in January and February are going to move from the sign of Pisces into the sign of Aries, which is moving from your eighth house of shared resources to your ninth house of beliefs, education and travel.
A
Right. So you've had these long transits going on in the eighth house. So Saturn and Neptune there, especially Saturn, since March 2023 has required a lot of work around shared resources, shared finances, potentially things involving your partner's income, if you have a partner, taxes, loans, debts or mortality related things like wills or inheritance. But now it's moving into the ninth house. So there's gonna be a lot more focus now on work around higher education, long distance travel, belief systems in particular like religion or philosophy. Astrology also goes there. Basically how you understand the world.
B
Yeah, so this is good in the one sense because there may have been some setbacks or some nebulousness surrounding shared resources and financial matters that's going to be alleviated by the end of this transit or by this transit ending at the beginning of the year. Especially going back to March of 2023 when Saturn first went into Pisces and into your eighth house of shared resources. So now this energy is shifting to the ninth house and it's going to put the focus much more on your beliefs and your education and the accumulation of wisdom. And it's a little tricky at the start because Saturn conjoining Neptune in February is going to create what I call a reality distortion field. That's sort of been building up over the past few years, but it's going to culminate at the beginning of 2026 with this conjunction. And that can be a little bit tricky for you because as you' as it's bringing the focus into the ninth house of beliefs and wisdom and learning, you may need to be careful if you start to learn new things or if you start to take on new political beliefs because you may have some challenges telling the difference between what's real and what's not real or between what's true versus what's false. Because of this conjunction becoming so prominent in the very beginning of 2026.
A
Definitely. Yeah. It's the time where you want to be careful of cultish type behavior around religion or philosophy, which can go in any, you know, in any sphere of religion or philosophy really. It's also a time when your previous structures around how you see the world, your belief systems, your worldviews can start to dissolve and there can be a gradual process of reformulating what exactly you do believe.
B
Yeah. So sometimes there can be some setbacks when it comes to Saturn transits in the ninth house. And Saturn might close one door when it comes to some educational route that you've been taking up to this point or in terms of some belief system that you've had up to this point. But when it closes one door, it'll eventually open another. And sometimes in the long run, those surmountable difficulties can be really good for us if we stick with things. And on top of that, I think some of the reality distortion will drop off a little bit after February once that conjunction between those two planets starts to move into the past. So that's our first major transit of 2026. Starting in February. We also get to our second major transit, which is eclipse season one, which is taking place in Aquarius and Virgo between February and March, which is in your seventh house of relationships and your second house of finances.
A
Yeah. So this will be the first eclipse in Aquarius in the Aquarius Leo series. And we'll get the second part later in the year. But the first eclipse's in your seventh house of partnership and one on one interaction. So there can be beginnings and endings with Reg, personal partnership, business partnership. If you do client work, that can also go there. Any major one on one interactions, it can change how you. It can be if you're not partnered. There can be someone showing up that you're interested in being partnered with. It can change also just relationship dynamics if you are partnered or it can be something new happening or something ending in your partner's life.
B
Yeah. So major beginnings and major endings when it comes to relationships, starting with this first eclipse, but it's gonna be opening up a series major beginnings and endings in that sector of your life over the course of the next year or two, as we see at least eclipses taking place in Aquarius. And does not have to be bad necessarily. I've had major relationships start under an eclipse in my seventh house. I believe I met somebody at some point during an eclipse, if you recall.
A
You may have. I don't really know, but there's a.
B
Legendary tweet about that from 2008 or something.
A
Yeah, you were, like, enjoying my eclipse in the seventh house.
B
Right, exactly. So major beginnings, sometimes major endings. Also, whether it's end of a relationship, sometimes it can be end of a chapter in a relationship as well. So it doesn't mean the end of a relationship per se, even though it can. The other important thing is the other eclipse taking place in Virgo in your second house, and how that's sort of part of a series of eclipses have been taking place there of major beginnings and endings in terms of your personal finances. And some of sometimes that can end a chapter with respect to, let's say, a job, but it can also open up a new chapter with respect to trying to increase your income as well at the same time. So look for opportunities, especially for new beginnings, where you could set a new foundation to improve your financial status around the time of that eclipse.
A
Definitely. Yeah. It can be a time of ending one job and starting another, or just new ideas percolating all of a sudden about future way to where you can make a living.
B
Yeah, exactly. All right, so let's move on to our third major transit of this year, which is gonna be Uranus departing from Taurus, where It's been for seven or eight years since 2018, 2019, and moving into the sign of Gemini for good, starting in April. And this is gonna be a transit where it's moving from your 10th house of career, and it's going into your 11th house of friends and groups and alliances. So on the one hand, it's ending a transit that's happened for seven years, that's caused or at least coincided with probably a major shakeup in terms of your career and your overall life direction in the 10th house. And now it's leading to some unexpected changes and innovations and seeking freedom in the sphere of friends and groups and alliances.
A
Yeah. So for the first third of the year through April, It'll still be in your 10th house of career. And there'll be a little bit of a last hurrah in February as Uranus stations for the last time in, in Taurus. And then the inner planets and even the eclipse all square it by degree throughout the rest of February. So whatever you've been innovating around, around your career, your professional life, how you're known publicly, there'll be a last little burst of that in February. And then as of April, it goes into your 11th house of friends groups, the larger social sphere, social networks, social alliances, all of those things. And that can bring sort of unexpected changes with regard to friends. Sometimes it's the case that Uranus goes through your 11th and your friends start acting sort of abruptly, oddly or things like that. It can just represent them or what's going on in their lives where your friends have sudden changes in their lives. But it can also definitely be major changes around how you want to interact with community. It can be like either sudden sort of additions or departures from community efforts, groups, boards, whatever, those sorts of things.
B
Yeah, definitely. And there was a preview of this transit that already started last year In July of 2025, when Uranus first moved into Gemini for a few months. But then it retrograded back out into Taurus and now it's coming back for good. And it's going to be transiting through this sector of your chart until 2033. So this is a long term transit and there will be some unexpected disruptions and upsets when it comes to friends and groups during this time, potentially. But also the urge for having and seeking freedom and liberation when it comes to your friends and groups. And in some ways that should be exhilarating in terms of finding friends and groups and like minded people that are more authentically connected with what your true beliefs and desires are in life, which is ultimately a good thing.
A
Definitely. Also, if you're inclined towards this, it's a great transit for social activism because Uranus is very excitable and wants to do things that are potentially revolutionizing things. And it's going through your community sector. So it can be a great time to work in social action groups.
B
Right. We've been watching that documentary on the Revolutionary War and all of these guys that were forming these little groups and stuff for the American Revolution at that time when Uranus was in Gemini must have had a similar transit like this happening, I bet, right?
A
Probably, yeah.
B
All right, so let's move on to our next transit, which is Jupiter is moving from Cancer in The first half of this year, which is your 12th house. And Jupiter's gonna move into Leo starting in late June for the entire second half of 2026. And that's moving into your first house of mind, body and self, which is your rising sign, of course.
A
Mm. So Jupiter was already in cancer for the second half of 2025, and I' the next six months in 2026. And that expands things around, things that are positive that come out of being in solitude. So it can also be really good for mental health. It can be good for recognizing ways in which you have blind spots and not having those blind spots anymore. It's basically really positive for subconscious things. It can also be positive surrounding dealing with, you know, enemies, like people you don't get along with, AKA like, you know, thinking of better ways to orient yourself around those things. But in particular, the biggest thing I usually see with Jupiter transiting the 12th house is just really positive things that come out of doing things on your own, in seclusion, which can be working on a project which necessitates you working alone for a while, that kind of thing.
B
Yeah. So there's some times in our life where we feel a lot more social. And Jupiter, for example, in previous years was transiting through the 11th House, which is more like growth in friends and groups. But Jupiter here is having benefits by delving into internal matters. So, for example, it can be a good time to focus on mental health things such as starting to see a therapist or other things like that. That is like self work that you do either alone or with somebody that's helping you to dive of those internal depths. And that's sort of like the first half of the year. And that's a trend that already started in the second half of 2025, when Jupiter first moved into cancer. But we really see that culminate in an important way in the first half of 2026. But that Jupiter transit, once it goes from your 12th house to your first house starting in late June for the entirety of the second half of 2026, is really gonna feel like coming out of that period of internal work and becoming more extroverted again and reinventing yourself. Sometimes it can be good for like, a makeover or changing something about your body or your physical appearance, as well as an increased period potentially of good health. For example, when Jupiter's transiting through your.
A
Rising sign, it's really great for things that require attention on you, and that can be anything. Right. It gives you more kind of personal power for a little while, I think. And I also think about if there were things that you were working on behind the scenes that can be like bringing that out into the light of the public when Jupiter moves from your 12th house to your first house. But yeah, definitely more of a contrast. The first half of the year is much more internal. And then the second half of the year is very. It's much more warm, it's much more extroverted, and particularly for you because that's going into your first house. Jupiter in Leo.
B
Yeah, absolutely. So around this time around June, before Jupiter leaves Cancer, it's gonna have a conjunction with Venus, which is really auspicious, which is something that we noticed when we were working on our 2026 electional astrology report, which we just finished and released, where we go through the next year and we pick out and highlight the best dates for doing things next year, giving you a handy guide basically, to fortunate dates in 2026.
A
Yeah, so this is for anything you want to, either important actions you want to take or important projects you want to start. It can be around your love life, business, home, anything, basically, that's important to you. And what you do is start them or take those actions at those selected dates and times for better prospects of successful results.
B
So we go through each of the next 12 months and we give you a forecast of each month and tell you what the best dates are. But we also tell you what dates to avoid doing things, because electional astrology sometimes is just as much about what dates you should avoid if there's a Mercury retrograde or a hard Mars aspect as it is knowing which days to do things. So we have 28 auspicious charts plus tutorials in the report. It includes a video version, an audio version, as well as a written report. And you can use it for business, love, or pretty much any major life event in your life over the course of the next year to accomplish major things. So the report was just launched and it's on sale, but just for the first month for $49.95, but only until the beginning of January when the price will go up to $65. So you can get the report now@theastrologypodcast.com 2026report. All right, so let's move into the second half of the year where we get our second eclipse season, which is actually happening in Leo and Pisces in August and going into early September. So this is important, of course, because Leo is your rising sign in your first house of, of body and self, and Pisces is your Eighth house of shared resources and other people's money.
A
Mm. Right. So that first eclipse is gonna be the very first one in that Leo series. And that just kind of reiterates a lot of things we were talking about with the Jupiter transit in your first house of self, body and mind in the second half of 2026. So eclipses will bring important beginnings and endings with regard to the topic of they're touching. So in this case, it can be a new beginning or an ending with regard to, you know, bodily habits, exercise routines, even appearance related things, but also just your sense of self, which again, is broad, but you bring to the rest of your entire life. So it can be really important turning point with regard to how you view yourself or how you present yourself.
B
Yeah, and I think part of what this is is earlier in the year, in February, we saw the first eclipse in Aquarius, which is in the seventh house of relationships for Leo rising people. So sometimes that's like starting a new relationship and then suddenly putting a lot of focus on that relationship and a lot of time and energy towards a new relationship or sometimes a new chapter in an existing relationship. But then when you get the second eclipse in the first house six months later, this is suddenly needing to balance. Maybe you've been putting a lot of time and energy into relationships earlier in the year, but suddenly you feel the need later in the year to rebalance things and put more time into yourself and figuring out who you are and what you need and what's important to you.
A
Yeah, that happens a lot with the eclipses across the first and seventh or anything really impacting the first and or seventh houses. Anytime you have one impacted, it automatically impacts the other one.
B
Yeah, definitely. And that's gonna be a theme that's gonna be continuing into 2027, because this eclipse series is just getting started in 2026. So this is like the opening sequence of events that's then gonna unfold over the course of the next year or two.
A
Mm, definitely.
B
All right, so that's eclipse season two. Then we get into the third quarter of the year and we get a Venus retrograde in the signs of Scorpio and library in October and November especially. And this is happening in your fourth house of home and living situation and parents and your third house of communication, short distance travel and siblings, neighbors and extended relatives.
A
Mm. So anytime we have a Venus retrograde, there can be either or people coming back from the past that you haven't been communicating with as closely for a while or just reworking interpersonal dynamics with the people in those areas or the things in those areas. So with a Venus retrograde starting in the fourth house, it can be reworking dynamics with your parents, if your parents are still around, or ancestry in general, Reworking things around the home or living situation and then connecting it back to the third house, which is siblings or other extended relatives. While that has other topics in the third house, like communications and short distance travel, neighbors, your immediate neighborhood, and so forth, this one pretty easily can be connecting family for you. Right, because there are family relationships going on in the fourth house and the third house, which is where the Venus retrograde is happening for you in both of those houses.
B
Yeah, definitely. Family things and Venus retrogrades always have this backwards looking orientation where it can either be about people from your past coming back into the present. So that could be family things, but it can also be neighbors or friends that you grew up with, like going back to and revisiting the place that you grew up with and therefore reconnecting also with your old neighborhood or people that were in your neighborhood or extended family around that area. Venus retrogrades can also connect us back to events that happened in eight year increments. So the last time this same Venus retrograde happened was eight years earlier, which would have been October, November of 2018, for example, or eight years before that, which would be October, November of 2010. And sometimes events that occurred during those previous eras can come back in some significant way into the present, if not in an exact repetition, sometimes in just some sort of archetypal or formal similarity, because it's again, activating your fourth house of. Of living situation, home and parents, and your third house of communication, neighborhood, siblings, and travel.
A
Mm, definitely. Yeah. So this is more of a looking backward and revisiting in the first part of it while Venus is retrograde. And then the second phase of that will be, you know, taking that and going forward with, you know, whether that was just like a nice memory to revisit and now you go forward again in those areas of life. Or whether it's like reworking sibling relationships and then deciding how you want to move forward together with better communication dynamics or things of that nature.
B
Yeah. Or sometimes there can be a crossover between the third and the fourth house of reconciling your parents and your siblings, or parents and other extended relatives or things like that. Or sometimes connecting your home and living situation with siblings. Like maybe there's a sibling that has to move in with you or an extended relative that has to move in with you for. For a period of Time. So that you're sort of going back in time in a sense of experiencing what that relationship was like for some reason. For better or worse. For those of you with night charts, this is actually probably going to be one of your most, if not the most positive transit that will take place this year. Whereas for the day chart people, it was the Jupiter transit earlier in the year that started in June going into your rising sign that was probably the most positive transit. But the Venus. Venus people or night people often experience the Venus retrogrades as being more positive than almost any other transit.
A
Yeah. Especially after it turns and then goes forward again. Because there is still sometimes a working out of things during the retrograde itself.
B
Yeah. And a bringing up the past and bringing up people from the past especially. But there's different scenarios for somebody comes back from your past. And sometimes that can be really good things. Other times it can be a little bit more challenging of a thing.
A
Mm, definitely.
B
All right, so that brings us to our final major transit of the year, which is Mars entering its shadow in the signs of Leo in Virgo from September through December, because it's preparing to go retrograde in those two signs starting in January of 2027. But it already starts the buildup to that retrograde in Leo in Virgo in September through December, which is gonna take place in your first house of cells and your second house of finances.
A
Mm. So this is gonna be a very extended Mars transit. Usually Mars transits through a sign in about six weeks. And this between the two signs is gonna take us all the way through the spring of 2027. So it'll last quite a while. So, meaning you're gonna be putting a lot of effort for some reason or tension towards these topics. So the first house, being the first house of self, it can be a health thing. It can be bodily practices, health habits, like improving those it depends on. Again with the day and night distinction, the night chart people, it'll probably be a little bit more moderated and more constructive, where the Mars retrograde periods just tend to be a period of extended effort in that area. Whereas the day chart people, on the one hand, you're going to get a great Jupiter transit through the first house, which is more positive for day chart people. But you'll kind of get more extremes rather than more moderated because you have the best extreme with the Jupiter transit and then potentially more challenge with the Mars transit there, which can be things involving health. It can also just be a time where you're getting into a little bit more conflict you're feeling a little bit more heated and things of that nature. But on the whole, for everyone it'll be a year time where you're going to be putting a lot more effort or attention into those two topics. And I can see for some people this won't be relevant for everyone necessarily. But for some people it's like working on self presentation that is connected with how you make a living. If you work for yourself in particular, that matters. Although I can see it still mattering even if you have a regular 9 to 5.
B
Yeah, especially for the night chart people, I think it's just going to be working really hard to make more money and sometimes centering yourself in terms of that where your personality, your appearance and your sense of selfhood is more important towards expanding some of your financial aspirations than at other times in your life. And that you'll find that you have the capacity for more work and for harder work during this time, but that it'll be to good effect, like you'll be able to accomplish a lot during this time. And I think that's just gonna go together with some of the Jupiter transits and the eclipses and other stuff that are happening around the same time this year. For the day chart people, there will be the potential for a little bit more challenging things because Mars transits through the first house can make you a little bit more irritable, a little bit more bombastic and prone towards getting into fights and arguments. Especially if you started a new relationship earlier in the year with the eclipse in Aquarius in your seventh house. You're going to want to be careful going into this Mars retrograde transit that that in feeling a little bit more forthright and having the ability to express yourself more directly that you don't accidentally create conflict and discord and tension in your relationships by being more authentic and expressing yourself more directly at the same time. You also want to be careful about that transit just in terms of the potential for sometimes if you spout off and start an argument with somebody or create some sort of tension or conflict, that it could lead to some challenging things in terms of your financial situation, since Mars will also be retrograde in the second house of finances. But as long as you're careful and exercise caution and restraint during that Mars retrograde transit, you should be able to get the best things out of it because Jupiter will be there at the same time.
A
Mm.
B
All right. I think that's it. That's the last major transcendental dimension this year for the horoscope for Leo and Leo rising for 2026. So those are your major transits for 2026. So as we said, if you want help planning out your year next year, then get our 2026 electional astrology report, which is on sale only until January for $49.95. Then it goes up to $65.
