Proverbs 31 warns against two different ways in which the Christian young man can sell his strength. God has called us to take dominion and to make disciples. If we do now steward our strength well, we will render ourselves ineffective at both of these tasks.

Global and national birthrates are in a windfall. Our culture paints kids to be a burden and a hindrance to the good life. Scripture, on the other hand, tells us to bear God's image by being fruitful and multiplying; it tells us that children are a blessing that are ultimately granted by God. God created and blessed the one-flesh union with all of its procreative potential. May we be Christian men who aspire to create loving, multi-generational families composed of committed and productive disciples of Christ.

Short form video is dominating the internet right now. While it has its benefits, the endless stream of mindless video content carries its own set of dangers. It can shorten our attention span, feed us one-sided, polarizing content, create a false sense of expertise, and keep us sedentary and unproductive; perhaps the greatest danger of infinite mindless content, though, is that it dominates mental bandwidth that could and should be used to meditate on God's word. God has called us to be dominion takers, multipliers, and disciple makers. All of these endeavors necessitate strength and endurance. While spiritual disciplines should be preeminent in our lives (1 Timothy 4:8), physical exercise is also a necessity because it aids in our self-mastery, and it prolongs our life and ministry. For the sake of your family, church, community, and life ministry, steward your body well: get in shape. Check out the Battle Ground on Instagram: @battle.ground.podcast • Instagram photos and videos
