Okay, so take the password that you have and think of it and just make a note how many characters it is.

The best passwords will contain either one capital letter or a symbol. You know, like the at symbol or the number sign or something. Like that. And this is how it improve your password. Wendy, you said yours are six characters. Yours would go from five minutes to eight and a half days if you just put one capital letter in there or one symbol.

So most people use lowercase.

Yep. Melissa, yours would go from two and a half hours to two and a half years.

Do you know who this applies to? Even more than our generation? Because I'm not as freaked out by doing operations online or whatever, but our parents are totally freaked out. Anytime I get some sort of hacker warning or something like that, it's from my parents.

Now, don't. You obviously don't admit anyone in this room if this is your password until you have a chance to change it. But this hacker guy says that if your password is your partner's name, your child's name, your pet's name, any of those followed by a 0 or a 1, the last four digits of your Social Security number, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 1, 2, 3, 4th, 5, 6, your city, your college, or your football team name, your date of birth, your partner's date of birth, or one of your children's date of birth, or any of the following words, password, God, money, love, or let me in. All as one word. Then you fall into the same category as 20% of the population. And there are programs that will search for that information and generate it. And one out of five accounts, they get in with that.

Wow.

You're kidding.

So I'll put all this information up online.

It needs to be completely random.

[Host Bert]

Yes.

The problem is people forget that most people use those because they remember it.

[Host Bert]

And I remember I started was like three years. I think I've been working with Georgia's own credit union.

Yeah.

And I remember they made me choose a password that had a capital letter in it and, like multiple numbers. And I was so annoyed because I had the same password I used for everything else. And I was like, oh, come on, I'm never going to remember this. And now that I read this, I'm like, they're smart. They're smart. After reading this, I went back and changed other accounts to be more in line with what they do.

And so is this the same thing that hackers Are running the same program or are there a bunch of different kinds of programs?

[Host Bert]

There's multiple versions of the same program that you can download.

The Birch show. Speaking of Wendy, here she has. We have challenged Wendy this week. She came on here a couple of days ago after watching Dancing with the stars, and she saw Kate Gosselin's really lame performance this week. Just thought she's kind of slept. Walked through the whole thing. And Wendy said she could do a better job than Kate Gosling could on Dancing with the star.

Well, yeah. Well, they're given. I found out they're given four days, eight hours a day to rehearse and learn the next dance for the next week. So they have four days of rehearsals, and then they do their performance. But they've been together for three weeks. But Kate Gosselin just looks like she is not enjoying it at all.

[Host Bert]

Somebody's holding a gun to her head to be there.

[Wendy]

There's no effort involved. Not. And she's. She can't dance. So I. I challenged myself that I could learn a jive dance because that's what she did on Monday morning. I mean, Monday night, she did a jive dance and learned it in four days. So I said I could learn a jive dance in four days and. And do it better than Kate Gosling.

[Bird Show Host]

So I called her out on that. I'm like, okay, you think you really can do this? And let's go ahead and do it four days. You go ahead, find yourself a ballroom dancing instructor. And we gave her a couple of different leads, and then we'll do it same way Dancing with the stars does it. So we're gonna have to get you like, some kind of like, in studio audience or something. And you'll have to wear almost an identical outfit or at least similar outfit to Kate Gosselin also. And we'll put a video of you dancing to whatever song Kate Gosling was dancing to. Put em up online. Listeners will vote, and we'll see who gets more votes. And if you beat Kate Gosselin, I'll just throw you a hundred bucks.

Right, right. And then I met actually with a dance instructor last night. His name is Antonio.

[Host Bert]

His name is Antonio. He should be terrific.

He is gorgeous and he's Latin, so he's gonna teach me the jive.

And he works at daza dance up in Alpharetta, up in Johns Creek. Met Last night. But they do something similar to dancing with the stars on Friday nights, where they have a huge dance party where it's like from 8 to midnight, and everyone just gets together, drinks wine, and everyone, like, sort of has their moment on the dance floor. So watching people and you're drinking, having a good party time.

[Jen]

So is it the people that have been in class there for a while, like people that are really good at it, or people that just learn that night?

[Wendy]

Anything. And, like, however long experience.

[Jen]

It's kind of fun.

[Wendy]

But it's open to the public. So we were talking last night about doing this whole jive dance and learning. And we were talking about doing. Learning Monday through Thursday and then performing on Friday night, But inviting people to the party on Friday night.

[Melissa]

Because one of the things we said with Wendy is if you want to be like dancing with the stars, we have to involve some kind of audience.

[Bird Show Host]

Has to be a live audience. There's a nervous factor. I mean, she was just in a. In a studio dancing with the instructor. Not nearly as nervous as Kate gosselin was in front of millions of millions of people.

[Wendy]

Well, even in here, if we brought in a couple of people, like 10 people, 15 people, no big deal. Especially if there are people around the office that I see every day.

[Host Bert]

If you're wearing high heels and dancing, you're gonna have every regular guy plastered right up against the glass of that room. You'll have an audience.

[Wendy]

And that's not nerve wracking. But when we were talking, she doesn't notice them. I mean, these are people, obviously I see every day. So if it's like professional dancers that are gonna be at this party because they do it every Friday. So these are professional dancers. These are students of professional dancers that have been taking lessons for months and months. Because this is a huge stage. This is the biggest in the southeast that I found out last night. So they teach ballroom dancing all day long 24 7. So this will be.

You're in good hands with Antonio.

[Wendy]

Oh, love him already. No, but these are.

[Melissa]

You're gonna have an affair with your instructor.

[Jen]

Romance rumors.

[Wendy]

I mean, that's okay.

She's not close to the other.

Absolutely.

No, but we would.

We would learn that starting on Monday. So there would be no practice this weekend, no practice today. We would start on Monday. So it's fair. And everything is like Kate gosling. So start on Monday, go through Thursday learning the jive. And then on Friday night is when I would perform for anybody who wants to come out it is open to the general public. Anybody who wants to come out, they have wine, they have beer, and it's just a fun party. And then I would do a dance on Friday night.

Nope. We just talked last night.

I got the grand tour of the ballroom last night. It was great. No, I actually tried on a pair of dancing shoes, and it's just bizarre because normally when women go and buy shoes, they're a little bit loose, so you can walk around in them. These have to be tight. Like, they have to be tight on your feet so your ankle won't break. And I had no idea about that.

[Bird Show Host]

But these aren't the shoes that you will be dancing in next Friday night. So you have to somehow make the transition.

[Wendy]

No, these will be the shoes.

They are.

[Wendy]

They're gonna be the shoes. So they're heels. Like, I am dancing the jive in heels. Like, little bitty heel.

Just like Kate Gosselin.

Just like Kate Gosselin. But it'll be in front of professional dancers, which made me a little more nervous than dancing in front of every one of my co workers.

Do you have to wear one of those sexy outfits?

They have them there.

I like the element too. Like she said, there's professionals in the room, you know, because that's very similar to Dancing with the Stars. There's professionals, and the judges are all professional dancers.

I actually got a little more nervous once he said that idea. I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.

He's the kind of guy that I'll call if I have a couple of drinks, you know, But I don't have really any expectations of him or really wanted to go any farther. Like we're not dating, we're just hooking up. And then I was getting together with one of my friends who was like my best friend when I was living in Atlanta before. And we were, we were catching up, I didn't really know all this stuff. And she started telling me about this guy that she was so upset over because it didn't work out with him. And she's like, it was a while ago, but she can't let it go. And it just upsets her so much. And I'm finding out as she's describing that it's the same guy, which I can't kind of believe. Because what are the chances of being unrelated that I met him? So now I feel like I kind of want to still hook up with him. They're not together anymore or anything like that. And I didn't tell her. And then I just felt so guilty about it that one day I just sat down and started bawling. And it ended up working out fine because she. And so that has been the plan since December or whatever. So December is when we started dating and things have gotten more serious. So he's coming with me to meet my entire family, the whole fam damily. It's gonna be all at one time. So he gets to meet mom and dad and brother and my brother's girlfriend, like all at one time. And I've never been less nervous about the whole scenario.

We debated it back and forth a little bit.

A little bit of a pooch going on. It was a little controversial because I think they said this is like an average woman.

She was still like a size eight. Right.

So there were some that were still upset about that.

Like a very fit, beautiful size eight. And the average woman is 12.

Yeah.

Dove's real beauty ad campaigns are heralded as groundbreaking forays into being a bit more realistic about how women look. My wife loves those ads too. Loves those. And then we just talked about the Glamour magazine also. But according to a new study by the University of Arizona Ads featuring bigger models don't actually make most women feel very good about themselves. According to this research here. Larger women feel better about themselves when ads don't include any models at all. Average sized ladies actually have lower self esteem after looking at ads with plus size models rather than uber skinny ones. And thin folks prefer traditional tiny models.

Weird guys.

I wonder why that is. I don't. Maybe it's a. That we want to look at some sort of far off goal and not reality. I don't know. Like we would prefer to look at fantasy rather than reality.

Maybe because it's like a reflection of you. If you see a plus size model and maybe you're. You're like that's me.

But. But if the plus size model is in the magazines as an ad, wouldn't that psychologically make you feel better about yourself? That if she's in there, then someone like me can be in there. Maybe I don't look so bad. Maybe I look good, maybe.

[Wendy]

But I mean it's always nice to see somewhat of a goal. Like we're always trying to get in shape and be better about our body. So we want to look like the thinner model. But if we see a plus size model, I think sometimes it's a reflection on who we are.

[Jen]

Yeah.

[Melissa]

It's funny because when I look at it as like the Dove ads, I pay attention because they're different because they have the women in it. But I don't pay attention to. Because everybody looks fake. Men and women. When there's models in any. In ads. Like when you. When you said I could, I would be the one that says I prefer it without any people in it whatsoever. If you have a dog or baby, that's cute. But if you have men or women, I think the men look fake. I think the women look fake. I mean they don't really help sell a product for me.

[Jen]

Have you guys seen the new. It's a tampon ad with the model.

[Wendy]

Oh yes, I love that.

[Jen]

It aired on American Idol the other night where she says I'm racially ambiguous. So you'll identify with me no matter what demographic you're a part of. And it's like this whole thing behind

the scenes, like, being real about.

[Jen]

Yeah, like, being really real. I'll find it online, see if it's on YouTube or something. We'll link over it to. From the website. But it's like completely breaking down the walls of advertising because she says, like, everything.

[Wendy]

My hair is nice long and flowy. Like, don't you want to be like me? Exactly.

[Melissa]

Makeup is perfect.

[Jen]

My skin looks really funny. I saw it the other night. I was like, that is a great ad. You know?

[Bird Show Host]

Says the study did, however, come up with one icky way bigger models can be used to actually influence product sales. Not gonna like this. If a normal size woman sees moderately heavy images in ads for weight loss products, she might feel overweight and be more inclined to buy a diet plan or gym membership. So basically use plus size models to make women feel bad enough about themselves that they spend more money on gym memberships and diet products.

[Jen]

That's messed up.

[Melissa]

Yeah, I. I don't know. I mean, I just. I feel. I don't know. I guess I just don't see plus size models as being a bad image or a making somebody feel bad about themselves. I. I don't know. I don't understand the whole.

[Jen]

Yeah, I don't understand that study result.

[Bird Show Host]

I actually told you guys, man, this is the first time I've ever said this, but to my wife, the other day we were watching. I forget it might have been American Idol. And that new Victoria's Secret ad came on with all the girls are like, you know, they're all, they're all in their new Victoria's Secret stuff. Hair's flowing and all. And. And they each say, I love my body. I love my body. And I literally looked over to my wife and I said, they're too skinny. Like, the ads now on TV are way too skinny.

[Melissa]

I want to see women's ads. They're like beer ads for guys. Like, just a group of women hanging out, having fun and using a product. Like, do you have to be like, even in razor commercials, women are in the tub. Like, they're having this. It's almost 8:30. They're having a adult experience while they're shaving their legs in this music place. Like, we don't shave our legs like that. And everything we do when we do our gi. And when we do Our hair. Like it's just like we're always touching ourselves. No, we're not. We want to have a good time. So I want to see an ad with women in a bar where the one girl's skinny, one girl's fat. Who cares? They're just having a good time instead. Because maybe that's the fake part to me is that women are expressionless, they are shallow looking. Even in print ads or on commercials.

[Jen]

Always sexualized.

[Melissa]

Always sexualized. Just be normal. Like just, just be having a good time doing something. You're either always having sex with a product or you're, you're running around with your children in the house like you're either a mother, you know, or somebody who is having an adult experience. But you're not just normal girl.

No problem. It's really. To me, it seems kind of easy to explain. The reason that the skinny women feel. Well, the skinny women allow the bigger women to feel okay is because it's a fake representation. Like we can say that's not reality. So it's not going to affect the way I feel about myself because I know that these people don't eat, they probably have personal trainers, there's all kinds of touch ups going on. So why should I feel about, bad about something that isn't real to begin with? But then they take the bigger women and they have them model. But these are bigger women who are confident, who are trained in how to pose properly. And so there's this confidence that comes through that normal women just don't have. So it kind of goes back to what Melissa just said. It's never the normal woman. So the bigger woman says, okay, she's the same size as me, but I still can't look like that. But she can't look, look like that because when you probably could, but you just don't have the confidence.

It's exhausting.

I just want to buy a razor. Just tell me if the razor will cut the hair off my leg.

And you know, quit treating me like a. I'm stupid. Just tell me what the product is. And I don't want to think about whether a girl, a girl looks good or looks bad or she's fat. Or she's too skinny. Just try to sell me a product and treat me with respect.
