That's right. And. And you hope that you have readers. Well, I, my. One of my blogs in the past week has actually gotten me in trouble with my family, in trouble with my extended family. It's actually Katie's family. So I had a blog that I put up that the title of the blog was Save Christmas, get rid of the mother in law. And then within the content of the blog, it Talked about this story out of England where a Holiday Inn, the Holiday Inn franchise in England are offering mother in law deals for Christmas. So from December 21st through the 27th, they were like, if you don't want your mother in law staying in your house, we have mother in law specials. It's a great, great idea. Unless the mother in law finds out about the special while she's staying there.

Exactly, exactly. So I just posted, you know, this story because I thought it was fascinating and funny and everything. Well, then later on that evening, Katie came home and said, so, you know, are you mad at mom for any reason or, you know, And I was like, no. And she said because she saw your blog and so her feelings got hurt.

Oh, no, backpedal, backpedal, backpedal.

Well, see, what I had meant was, and I never. Well, because one, we're not married and two, I, you know, I love Katie's mom and. But I never, I never really talk about her. Like, I never. The vernacular I use is she's not, you know, my mother in law used to say she's Mama Jo, you know, so I never, it never triggered in my mind that I would have this vlog out, save Christmas, get rid of the mother in law. And for her to actually take it personal.

Did you have to call her up?

[Derek]

No, because, you know, because I didn't want to acknowledge it because, you know, because it almost sounded like that I'm guilty. Well, I just want to let you know that, you know, so I didn't, I didn't acknowledge it. So if she's listening right now, this is how she's finding out.

It wasn't an endorsement.

This is a coward's apology. Coward's apology.

But there's no apology because, I mean, because I think Katie was like. She didn't want me to acknowledge it because she didn't want. Because I think she may have mentioned something to Katie, but she didn't want Katie to tell me. You know what I mean?

She was embarrassed for getting her feelings hurt over it. Well, you know what, I think there's like sort of like a bigger meaning to this whole thing is that she considers herself your mother in law.

I know it's very flattering, the fact that her feelings would be hurt because she. Yeah, because she sees me as a daughter in law.

[Emily]

So that's pretty cool.

I mean, that's big.

Do you think she overreacted?

[Fiona]

No.

[Derek]

I mean, no, I'm not going to. I don't think she ever read because if she overreacted, she would have called me and said, how dare. You know, that's an overreaction. As if you see something. But to think, oh, she really feels like to give. To save Christmas, you get rid of the mother in law. And kept it to herself and said it to Katie that. No, that's not.

Everything that you're. You're saying now has a different tone on the Internet and you have to be so careful. Like, don't you have a friend now that. That stopped being friends with somebody online for like something that was being posted on a wall or something like that?

[Emily]

Oh, yeah, there was something about that. Yeah. I heard this story from a friend over the weekend that he had posted something on one of his friend's walls about. What was it about?

[Bretzky]

Oh, something about fantasy football.

[Emily]

About fantasy football. And that. That person got so mad, they said, stop disrespecting my wall.

[Camille]

For real Facebook.

[Emily]

For real contacting each other on Facebook.

[Camille]

And then, stop disrespecting my.

Yes, stop disrespecting my wall. There are more important things going on here. And then over fantasy football, the friend of mine, the fact that ridiculous.

Yes, that was what was put. And then seriously, if I'm telling the story correctly, which I may have the detail, he posted something else jokey about it. And then it was like, continued like, still. You're still disrespecting my wall. And then he said, well, what would be disrespectful is to say, you haven't had a job in a long time or something like that. And then he.

So they started arguing on their wall, like, jokingly.

[Emily]

Then the friend of mine went back to post something else and he couldn't find it. So he had been deleted as a friend.

[Camille]

Oh, no.

[Emily]

He had been dropped as a friend for disrespecting his wall. He's de.

[Derek]

Friended because he disrespected the.

[Camille]

Yeah, don't disrespect the wall, people.

[Bretzky]

That's gonna be like, I didn't think

a wall was that important.

Oh, it's. It's everything. Chin hobby.

These are supposed to be your friend all day.

And that's all you do all day if you're on Facebook. I guess it is that important.

Well, and I think it's. It's sort of. What's that look for? What was that for?

There's no look.

It looked like there was a look. I think it's also sort of assumed that if those are your friends, that they don't write anything nasty about you on your own wall.

[Bretzky]

Nothing disrespectful, man.

[Camille]

Because your friends wouldn't do that.

It was about fantasy football. Taunting each other about, like points or players or something stupid like that.

[Camille]

Yeah. There's some deep seated things going on there.

[Emily]

It has to be, right?

[Camille]

Yes.

You're deleted from my friends.

[Camille]

It's the virt show now. At the base of it, I'm just curious. Really means I'm just nosy.

[Derek]

Yes.

Oh, really? Yeah, definitely. Cause it's none of your business and you know, it's none of your business, but you just got to know the answer. Remember that one woman we talked to who had a neighbor, had somebody come visit her all the time, every day, and she had some like, you know, some dramatic soap opera story made up in her mind. But then when we found out the truth, it was like so basic and boring.

[Bretzky]

It was her husband coming home to have lunch or something, wasn't it?

[Emily]

I thought it was her brother.

[Bretzky]

Her brother. Somebody came over to have lunch every day. But not in this. It started with, I'm pretty sure my neighbors having an affair. Yeah.

[Camille]

And the reality is never as good as the fantasy you have in your head. We had the one listener on that was calling out a co worker. Right. Because she said she had to leave all the time. She couldn't pick up shifts, and she didn't. She wanted to know why this co worker was so stressed out. I can't even remember what the result was.

[Bretzky]

Because she wrecked her car and the deductible was. Or her brother's car and she wanted to pay him back or something for the deductible.

[Emily]

She was picking up more shifts.

[Bretzky]

Was so nice.

[Derek]

Oh, and then the other co worker who. His stuff was always in his car. So the co worker thought he was homeless. And come to find out he had teenage daughters at home and could never get in the bathroom. So he was getting ready at the gym.

[Bretzky]

At the gym. Yeah.

[Camille]

Yeah, this is. It's down the street. Because, I mean, I know the people who live right next to me, but this guy or people, you know, they're down the street a while. But I pass the house all the time, like, coming and going from my house.

Okay, can we say what area of town this is in?

[Hannah]

I'll tell you that. It's Woodstock.

[Camille]

Okay, all right. So in Woodstock. Okay, so is this a house that is traditionally decorated every year with Christmas stuff?

[Hannah]

Yeah, but this year, I mean, they. They went all out. I mean, it was. Their stuff was up, like, two weeks, right at Thanksgiving. And, I mean, a wreath in every window, all the inflatables they had, you know, even those little candle things, it was all decked out. But it actually looked. Looked nice. Like it wasn't, like, way, way over the top, but it looked. It looked really pretty. And then I noticed a couple days ago, it's just all gone.

[Bretzky]

What do you mean gone? It's gone.

[Hannah]

Like all the big, you know, Santa thing, the inflatable thing, everything, it's just gone. All the decorations, the wreaths off the door, they're off. All the windows, everything. And the weirdest that's really kind of creeping me out is there's a Christmas tree, like, a live Christmas tree, but it's, like, up against the side of the house, and it looks like. Like after Christmas, you know, like after New Year's when everybody has their old Christmas tree outside. That's what it's. That's what it looks like.

[Camille]

Do you think that they were forced out of the house quickly?

[Hannah]

I keep thinking that it could be something crazy like that, but. And that's just bad. Like, in my mind, you keep making up all these stories, and, like, who knows? Maybe they're in trouble with the law. You have to run.

[Bretzky]

This one's gonna go. Sadly, it could.

[Emily]

Maybe they canceled Christmas because the kids are being bad.

[Fiona]

What if someone took their decorations?

[Bretzky]

But how'd the tree end up next to the house?

[Hannah]

Yeah, I mean, the tree had to be in the house. I mean, now it's out there. I mean, you can even see there's, like, little bits of, like, tinsel and stuff. It's sad. It looks like after the holidays. Everybody is out there.

[Bretzky]

How many weeks ago was it fully decorated?

[Hannah]

That was like, what, two weeks ago? It was like, right around Thanksgiving when they did all the stuff.

[Camille]

When was the exact day that all of this stuff is absolutely gone?

[Hannah]

I noticed it on. It was two days ago. So Monday.

[Camille]

Okay. And this is in Woodstock.

[Bretzky]

Here's my theory. I'm gonna be the first one, and I'm gonna go with the most boring theory. Cause this is. Cause this is what it always comes out to be like. We're gonna go around the room a hundred times and come up with all these. Maybe their house was burglarized. I think they were forced out quickly. I think my opinion. They had family over for Thanksgiving and they wanted to decorate for it, but they're taking a long Christmas holiday. So the decorations were for Thanksgiving, family entertaining only. Then they came over. They did the whole thing. Is it an older couple? Younger couple? Kids? No kids. Do you know any of that?

[Hannah]

I have no idea.

[Bretzky]

Okay. It's an older couple.

[Hannah]

I don't know them.

[Bretzky]

They're older. They're like retirement age. But not old enough that they're farting uncontrollably.

[Hannah]

Would you keep your wreath on the door at least or something? I mean, just to be festive. Uh.

[Bretzky]

Cause they're older and they're set in their ways. So they're like. They're like 65.

[Derek]

But they'd be traditionalists. I disagree with that theory about them being older. Because they would leave a wreath on the.

[Bretzky]

They're not traditionalists.

[Hannah]

It's nothing else. Just a wreath or something.

[Bretzky]

Nope. Because they're going on their cruise around the world.

[Camille]

Jeff has it all worked out.

[Bretzky]

And they're leaving. They're leaving for that this week. So they left the wreath up till they left, but they're not going to leave it on their door while they're gone because they've got two weeks in Peru.

[Camille]

The phone lines are lit up right now with people, I think, with theories. Hey, Jennifer, good Morning. You're on Q100.

[Hannah]

Hey, they could be allergic to the Christmas tree. If it's a real Christmas tree. They could have. After Thanksgiving and stuff, they could have realized that they were allergic to it.

[Camille]

But then what does that do?

[Hannah]

And just threw it outside.

[Camille]

How about all the lights and everything else outside?

[Hannah]

They could have got annoyed with it because, you know, if you're allergic to a lot of stuff and you can't figure out what you're allergic to, and at the last moment you figure it out and you break out in hives or something, and you get so agitated, you just throw it out.

[Derek]

You sound like that pothole commercial Mama counts up. Pothole.

[Hannah]

Hey, I'm a pothole. I do that.

[Derek]

Yeah, when you're marching everything. But I'm not lurching nothing because I'm a pothole.

I have a theory on why the Christmas lights could be down.

Okay. Because she's in Woodstock here, and this house is, like, decorated every single year to the nines. It looks great, right?

[Emily]

Yeah.

[Camille]

And then she wakes up one morning, and then all of a sudden, the decorations are down. And the tree, also inside the house is. They took all the lights off of it, and it's down also.

[Hannah]

I had a neighbor who did that last year. She had a death in her family, and she took it all down because she didn't want to be reminded. It's sad, but it could be. And, you know, if they don't want to be reminded, then they take it all down and throw it away.

[Emily]

That one of the kids got in trouble. And then it was like one of those dads that was like, oh, I'm gonna show you. I'm gonna make a point.

[Camille]

But then you would keep the tree in the house, out of the house.

[Emily]

Like, if a kid got in trouble and they were like, that's it. Christmas is canceled, dude.

[Bretzky]

It's possible. Remember our boy Kevin down at West Palm Beach? His wife canceled Christmas two or three years ago. She something with the kids.

[Camille]

She just thought that they were spoiled and stuff like that, and they were starting to miss the Christmas spirit. So she woke up, like, on the 21st, and she's like, I just want to let everybody in this house know there is no Christmas this year.

[Bretzky]

Took everything down, put the tree out to the curb, boxed up all the ornaments.

[Camille]

Hey. I do. Unfortunately. I think that the house was probably foreclosed on.

That's where I'm at with this whole thing.

Yeah, me too. We had friends where their house was. It just happened last Saturday. And my mom was their real estate agent, and she went to show the house, and she couldn't get in.

[Bretzky]

Oh, really?

[Camille]

It happens quite quick.

[Bretzky]

But I thought. And if I get this wrong, I'm sorry, but I thought it was Wells Fargo or one of, like, the big, huge mortgage lenders, said that they weren't going to do any foreclosures between Thanksgiving and Christmas, weren't gonna file any. And I thought A whole bunch of banks followed suit.

[Camille]

Well, something obviously had to happen for them to be cool with having it up in Thanksgiving. And something so drastic that it has. Everything has to be down within 48 hours. So they found some information out in 48 hours that made them tear everything down.

[Emily]

What if it was for sale and it sold?

[Camille]

Oh, have you ever seen for sale signs out on the. In the lawn?

[Hannah]

No.

[Camille]

Could be. Also.

[Derek]

Okay, you don't have a sign in the yard for it to be for sale.

[Emily]

The realtor could have decorated it so it looks all beautiful and festive and then sold. And then they said, okay, I'm taking this to my next house to go decorate it and sell it.

[Camille]

Could be. Okay.

[Emily]

So potentially, I don't know.

[Camille]

a couple of weeks ago because we did the whole Black Friday thing. Me, my mom and my aunt always go out and we get done pretty early, around 8 o' clock in the morning. So we always go and have breakfast. Well, my dining experience at this one particular place was ruined all by a menu. So we go into ihop and the normal thing I get at Ihop, it's so good in the morning and you go there and you have your one thing that you really Love there. For me, it's a country omelette. Cause those are the bomb.

They're huge.

So you can't eat them.

It's got the one with like the ham, cheese, onion.

[Fiona]

It's got everything. The hash browns, the cheese.

I think they even put sour cream on it to make it even less healthy.

And it's so more tasty.

[Fiona]

And I mean, you don't really notice like the fat calories you're eating or any of the calories in it. You just want to go there because you like it.

[Camille]

And it's an omelet. How unhealthy can it be? Who cares if there's sour cream and cheese? It's an omelette, man. By nature it's healthy.

And you're gonna burn it off all day. Absolutely.

You've already been, you've already been burning it off. We've been walking around shopping.

They tell you not to skip breakfast, so.

So we, we all go to sit down, open up the menus and every item, every item, I'm talking from the appetizers to the end of the menu with the desserts has the calorie amount, the sugars, the carbs in it, everything listed under every single item. Not just under. Because you know, under normal menus they have like the healthy ones where you can like pick and choose and you see what calories.

Right, yeah, the healthy, the healthy fare.

Unless you're on your way home from pacemaker and surgery. You didn't even look at that.

I can't believe they would volunteer to do something like that. That must be some kind of legal deal that they had to do. Well, there are some places though, like they're, they're, they're sort of like the. It doesn't much matter anyway if they have the calories listed anyway. I mean, if you're going to.

If I'm going to cold stone.

[Camille]

If you're going to cold stone. Yeah, right.

It's not because you just got off two hours on the treadmill. You don't even cold stone because you're going to get a nice.

[Camille]

Yeah, you have very few healthy options anyway. If you're going there, you're going there to crush your diet. That's it.

[Derek]

But I'm sure it is the law because there are people who, you know Want. Because it is hard to go out and eat and be really healthy, unfortunately. It's unfortunate to say, but that's the truth.

[Camille]

I disagree with you. I think there's always something on the menu that you can find that's healthy no matter where you go, if you're really committed to it. But it's a struggle, and you got to know what you're doing right.

[Derek]

And it shouldn't be a struggle for the majority of your experience. Should be easy to find something healthy when you really have to look.

[Emily]

Yeah, but it's your responsibility for your own eating. Like, you're responsible for whether you eat out or eat at home, or you're responsible for what you choose off the menu or what you don't. It's not the restaurant's job to be your health doctor.

[Camille]

Especially if you're going to a place like McDonald's, where, you know.

[Emily]

Yeah, those kind of stories where people blame McDonald's for their kids being fat, and then they go sue them. Like, that drives me crazy.

[Camille]

Right.

[Emily]

Your kids aren't fat because of McDonald's, because you make those food choices. When you're too lazy and figure out how to actually cook a decent meal,

[Bretzky]

you're too lazy to cook at home, and that's why you're obese.

[Hannah]

Right, because it's more expensive.

Expensive, by the way, to go to McDonald's every single day than it is to go grocery shopping and get something healthy.

But how come some restaurants do it and others don't? Like, we're at McDonald's quite a bit for the kids now, I wish my kids were a little heavier, but when I go and I look at the menu, it bums me out. But there are other places. Like, I don't see it as prominent if we go to Burger King.

I don't want it. Some places have it separated from the actual menu. There's some, like, sub shops and stuff that have the card. Like, if you want to go see, go check it out.

Now we're getting back into that conversation about how women are so into their Own heads about everything they eat. There's nobody in that restaurant that's judging you on what you're eating. Cause everybody else is in there eating the same damn thing. Well, no, they're relieved. I would think if you're eating that much and something that's not good for you, it probably gives them an excuse to eat the same thing.

Well, then when you have the health conscious person at the table, then you're like, oh, what are they gonna think

if I get this little. I make fun of people who eat healthy at bad places. I mean, not, I mean, awful, traditionally bad food places. And ihop. Yes, you're a great place. And that's where you're a guilty pleasure. And so is Cold Stone Creamery.

Hey. I listen to you guys every morning on my way to school, so thank you. Thank you for that. Anyway, I have a comment about you guys and I just think it's really funny. I'm actually about to graduate nursing school, so nutrition and health awareness is like a really, I guess, a really big push in bachelor's programs now. And we had a conversation, actually a debate about a semester ago about should people put the calories and fat content, you know, nutritional f on a menu? And a lot of people said, no, absolutely not. Exactly what you guys are saying. It's a personal decision, but I think we're getting defensive because that personal decision, when somebody gives us the information, it makes it harder for us to rationalize and justify why we're gonna have that country omelette, which is my favorite too. But we get defensive about it because, well, no, this is my personal decision, and we don't want to have to be held accountable for Knowing all the facts before we make that personal decision. I'm all for it. I think exactly what you guys are saying. You're not going not put the cheese on your Quarter Pounder. So put the cheese on your Quarter Pounder. Just know when you went into it that that's an extra hundred calories. That's an extra 10 minutes on the elliptical when you get to the gym after work.

[Camille]

So what are you saying? That if the calorie stuff is not up, if the ingredients are not up, then it's easier for you to go ahead and eat that stuff, because you could always sort of subconsciously say, I didn't even know how bad it was for me. But if it's there in front of your face, then all of a sudden it's. It makes it way more difficult.

[Hannah]

Exactly. When you're held accountable for the choices you make because you have all the information you make. Decision. We wouldn't go and buy a house, you know, without all the sex on the home being listed. You know, you don't just look at and say, hey, that looks good. That's yummy. I'm going for that. And if you're going to Cold Stone, you already know it's all on the toilet. You know, yeah, you're going.

[Camille]

You're going.

[Derek]

Before it gets to the toilet, it's going to be my tummy. It's going to feel good. So I think that I don't necessarily disagree with the calorie count being listed. You know, I do think. I wonder if instead of being right there, if it. If it's somewhere available, I do agree, because I want the labels on my food in the grocery store to tell me exactly what's in there. Because I do think that it allows me a more informed decision. Because if I am a workout person, if I am following Katie Jo's lead and I'm making sure I'm looking at everything, then if I want to indulge, then I'm able to go to IHOP or Coldstone and see exactly how much I'm indulging.

[Bretzky]

The flip side of that isn't. Wouldn't you think? The flip side of that is the treadmill. Who, after you've been on it for what seems like four months, you move the magazine to the side and notice that you've gone. Burned a total of 41 calories, even though you're pretty sure that your legs are on fire.

Who told you that story?

That is the. Like, that's the. You don't want to be held accountable. I want to Know that if I get on the treadmill for 15 minutes, I have canceled out the country omelet.

I think that when you go to a place like IHOP and you know that there's calories and things like that, if you're with your friends, I don't think. I think you should just relax. I mean, why are you worried about what they're going to think or judge you or the people around you are going to judge you for what you eat? You're in a restaurant. You're there to have fun. You're there to socialize and have some good food. I think you're. I mean, you shouldn't be in a position to. Where you worry about what people are going to think about you.

[Camille]

Yeah, we're starting to regurgitate the same conversation we had a couple of weeks ago when I made the suggestion over Thanksgiving weekend that if you're very conscious about what you put in your body as far as food goes, and you're always sort of stressed out about your diet, for three days, give yourself this mental. Just relaxation, eat whatever you want and worry about it when you get back, Right? But for three days, eat turkey and mashed potatoes and put gravy on there and really indulge. And what we found is that a lot of women aren't capable of doing that. Most women are not capable of doing that.

[Hannah]

Well, I mean, to me and, you know, to the African American culture, if you are, you know, I mean, I won't say I can't speak for all African Americans, but, I mean, it would be insulting just to have, like, a little puny plate at Thanksgiving because you know how hard everybody cooks. Whatever. I mean, it's about. I think it goes more subconsciously or mentally to where it's like, okay, are you truly starving yourself? Why do you care so much about what people think? You're taking care of yourself. You're eating healthy 364 or three days out of the year. Relax. There are more things to worry about, especially if you're taking care of yourself. It's okay to go to IHOP once a year or twice a year, even three times a year. Just relax.

[Camille]

I agree, but most were saying that the word that I heard more than anything else when we talked about that was remorse. If you do that, there's just such deep remorse about it.

[Emily]

And, yeah, I think that all of that is great in theory. We can all subscribe to that theory. But I think when you're actually in this situation, you do feel like other people around the table are judging you for what you're ordering, especially if they're ordering healthy.

[Fiona]

Well, you can see it on the menu now.

Well, if there's a skinny white girl sitting at a table eating, you know what you call it? What's the name of the country omelet?

[Fiona]

Country omelet.

[Derek]

Country omelette. And an overweight white woman eating the country omelette at the table. How many people would judge the heavy woman more than the. In the skin? In your mind? Be honest with yourself and tell me that you haven't looked at a heavy woman eating a big plate of food and think to yourself, well, honey, if you didn't eat all that, then that's women even. We do judge each other, but women

even look at the skinny woman and go, oh, my God, how does she get away with that?

[Derek]

It's not just women. I think a guy would look at a big girl's plate and think that

people used to give so much grief to Tracy St. George when she used to work here, because every single day she would have McDonald's or Burger King or Chick Fil, a Doritos, Wendy's, all for lunch.

And so how to find that Rail thin, but her cholesterol is365.1 call I didn't get to, which I think is a really great call, and it's a really important point, is that sometimes when you go to those fast food restaurants, it's a little bit deceiving. Like if you go to a Taco Bell and you order the salad, the taco salad there, in a lot of cases, it's the fattest thing that you can get on the menu. And people don't know that. You just think that it says salad, so it's healthy. But if you eat that shell, that's like eating 19 burritos right there.

And people don't know that sometimes salad dressing is the kiss of death, right? You can be eating all kinds of good vegetables and you smother it in that stuff.

[Camille]

And the truth is that probably 90% of the people in this country don't know how to eat healthy. They just don't have the education and don't know. So. So that calorie stuff is probably pretty important stuff.

You know, she was gonna look like my daughter because she is my daughter. My husband has blonde hair and had very blonde hair when he was little. And as her hair has been falling out and new hair is growing in, it's blonde. My daughter is going to be blonde, and I don't look anything like her. If I take her to the store, people are going to assume she's my niece or she's my friend's daughter. They're not gonna think she's mine.

Aren't all. Aren't many babies blonde and then their hair darkens? Like, aren't many babies born with blue eyes and they darken to different colors?

Okay, well, maybe I wanted a little mini me, but I can't highlight. I can't dye her hair, so my only option was to highlight my own. So I'm gradually lightening my hair so I'll look more like my daughter.

Gradually. So how light are you gonna go?

Like gens? No,

I mean, I think I'll stick like this for a little while and see how blonde her hair gets. And. And I just want. I want her to look like she's mine.

Well, I mean, it's not so much that. I just think it's adorable when, like, when you go to the store and you see, like, a mom and their child, and it's clear, like, Stacy and Hollis. Like, Hollis looks like Stacey. I mean, Stacy goes out with Hollis, and you can say, that is Hollis's mommy, right? But if I go out with Ella, people are gonna think she's my niece. And I just think it's cute when it's like, mommy, I always assume a

That does happen with my best friend Shay, because her daughter's blonde. So when the three of us are together, a lot of people do assume that her daughter is mine because of the blonde hair connection, but I don't think it makes her mad. I need to find out now. And I went to meet her teacher once, and her teacher told me that she wasn't my child. And what's very interesting is her name is Daisy, too. So there was no reason to misunderstand that I was her parent. And the lady argued with me that that was my daughter.

I can't believe she did that.

I had to tell her three times. I had to ask the class to let everybody, all the students know me. So they're like, yeah, that's Daisy's mom.

Yeah. Cause I. It doesn't matter what the child looks like. It doesn't matter the skin color, the hair color, the eye, whatever. If it is a single woman. I guess you're right, Jen. If it's a single woman with a child, I assume mommy and daughter.

I do have a friend of a friend who's married to a black man and she's white, but their baby came out, like, real black. So she goes to the store with her child who's way totally different skin color than her. And people question it all the time. And she has this. She just looks at him, rolls her eyes, and is like, yeah, this is my kid.

And I know I've seen this on, like, the playground before where some mothers will approach a woman that they think is, like, the nanny, but it's really? The mom? Because there's zero resemblance whatsoever.

And I think that I'd be okay with it if, like, maybe some of her features resembled me. But I look at her, I don't think she's looks anything like me. Like, if I didn't birth her, I'd question whether or not, like, she was mine.

I think it could also be the siblings fighting with each other, because when I was growing up, that was the thing that ticked off my parents the most, was my brother and I getting into fights. So if it was like, one after the other after the other, I could have seen them because it was us fighting with each other, canceling it for both of us.

So that and literally canceling it means the 25th. You wake up, there is nothing.

Good morning. I have a friend who had three sons, and one of the sons was only nine at the time, and he broke into the next door neighbor's apartment. So on Christmas morning, this was two weeks before Christmas, on Christmas morning, she said it was the hardest decision she ever made, but the other two boys had presents from Santa,

so he had to watch his brothers open up presents. And he had zero.

We're in a similar situation with our oldest child is 11, and hasn't been performing well at school and has been lying to us and is actually potentially going to fail. And so we're using it as a threat. But. And you know, her dad and I discussed. And of course, it'll be me the one who actually has to pull the trigger on it. So it would be the mom decision to cancel Christmas. Fortunately, our other two children are small enough they won't really know because they're only 16 months old.

So you're teetering right now. So over the course of the next week, if he's great, then you'll give Santa a call and say, hey, everything's cool. And if he's not, then you call Santa and go, hey, all bets off

right now, fortunately, we kind of spoil our children a little, so I might actually keep some of the cool presents for yourself.

Yeah, he's just that second layer. Yeah. I've seen two parents, friends of mine that are parents in the last week that said that elf on the shelf

is a really big deal like Santa's.

And our house is huge. Kids love it. This is. If you don't. If you're not aware of what it is. This was created by a woman in Marietta here. And our elf is Walter, who comes in every single night. He's about, I don't know, 7 inches tall, 8 inches tall or whatever, and he looks just like an elf. And he pops up at different places in the house every morning because what he does is he leaves the house, he reports back to Santa how the kids were, how their behavior was for 24 hours. Then he shows up in another part of the house. So he always has his eyes on the kids for the weeks leading up to Christmas, and they actually wake up and they look forward to seeing where he ended up in the morning.

My friends that were telling me about having this elf on the shelf in their house, the dad said that his daughter is totally fine with the elf around the house, but she gets freaked out if he ever shows up in her room.

So he's allowed everywhere with the room.

The elf is allowed everywhere except for his daughter's room because she will freak out about that. Well, she's like, I'm okay with that thing being like in the living room, but not in my room.
