Get it?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
The Birch Show.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Hello?
T.I.
Yo.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Hey.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Is this T.I.
T.I.
yeah, this is me. What's happening?
Co-Host/Interviewer
This is Jeff and Jen and Melissa and Wendy.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Okay, so how are you? Are you in Atlanta right now?
T.I.
No, I'm actually in Los Angeles. Head to the airport.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Coming back.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Coming back to Atlanta?
T.I.
Yeah, coming back to Atlanta. Very cool material.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Do you miss Atlanta when you're away from it all the time? What's your favorite thing in Atlanta? If you were bringing somebody to Atlanta for the very first time, where's your must take them place?
T.I.
Well, it depends on who they were, how old they were, and, you know, what kind of an Atlanta experience they wanted to have.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
All right, well, let's do two categories. We'll do three categories. We'll do a friend of yours, and then we'll do a friend, a friend of your mom's, and then a friend of one of your kids.
T.I.
Okay, let's see a friend of mine. That's gonna be very easy, man. They're gonna want to go to Magic City, right? They're gonna want to go to Club Crucial. They're gonna want to go to Velvet Room. They're gonna want to go to Candy Shop. And, you know, they gonna want to get an adult Atlanta Experience, you know? Whereas a friend of my mom's, I would take. I would take them to New Birth to meet Bishop Eddie Long. I would take them to Chantrell to have a nice lunch or dinner. Okay, let's see here. I would also take them to the Atlanta Fish Market if they weren't full. How about the High Museum of Art?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Very, very cultured and respectful for the friend of your mom.
Co-Host/Interviewer
And then once you get done drinking martinis then it's Magic City.
T.I.
And for a friend of my kids, I would take them to. I'd take them to Sidetrack. I take them to Six Flags Whitewater.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
When did you achieve the success that you couldn't go to any of those places without getting mobbed? Cause I would assume that TI Walking through Six Flags right now creates a little bit of pandemonium.
T.I.
Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, I mean, you know what I'm saying. I'm fortunate enough to be able to call in and have them shut the park down for a couple hours while me and my family do our thing.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Nice.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
That's cool.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Nice.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
What's the best perk about being having the celebrity that you have?
T.I.
I would have to say the influence to help others and the ability to create a new standard of living for my family.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Talking about helping others and being able to influence others. If you got a phone call from Chris Brown today, and he knowing that you've gone through a lot in the past couple years of your life and a lot of drama and a lot of drama in the public eye, what advice would you give him today?
T.I.
Well, first, I would have to be very, very clear and honest with you guys in telling you, man, that I have a lot of admiration, love, and respect for both Chris and Rihanna. You know what I'm saying? And I would just, you know, I let them know, man, you know, you never know why. God take you through certain things, man. But through all adversity, man, comes strength.
Co-Host/Interviewer
We want to find out about road to redemption. This 45 days to go. What is all. What are all the viewers gonna get to see on this show, and what are they gonna learn from you?
T.I.
Well, the show primarily is about me intervening in the lives of young teenagers who, for whatever reason, have found themselves on wrong side of the law. And I'm just trying to use my experiences and my influence to, you know, to share with them the mistakes I've made to keep them from making the same ones, hopefully.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Are you nervous about going to prison?
T.I.
Am I nervous?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
T.I.
Well, I'm significantly concerned. You know what I'm saying? I'm somewhat unsettled, but, you know, I'm all right, though.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
When you talk about, you know, earlier, you were saying, you know, how they can shut down Six Flags for you and make that a peaceful time for you and your family when somebody of your notoriety goes to jail, I'm assuming that there are certain protections that would have to take place that wouldn't apply to other prisoners.
T.I.
I'll be perfectly honest with you. Man, just to be like, just to keep it all the way 100 with you, all of those protections would pretty much. They would make my time a lot more miserable than I care to make it. You know what I'm saying? That would cause for me to be locked in a cell 23 hours out of a day, and I'm not gonna do that. So it'll be general population for me.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
So when you go in, you're just going in like the average guy?
T.I.
Absolutely. Treat me like everybody else, man. I'm doing my time and going home.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Do you think people are gonna treat you the same?
T.I.
I mean, you know, they gonna treat me the way I. They gonna treat me the way I present myself, you know what I'm saying? That's as a man of respect, right?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
You're gonna have to call us when you're out and tell us at what point into the 12 months you got sick of guys coming up to you going, hey, let me just sing something for you real quick. Let me just.
T.I.
Well, you might be getting a call from me, man, within the first couple weeks, man.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Are you kidding me?
Are you going to be doing a lot of writing?
T.I.
Well, you never can tell what you're going to be spending your time doing until you actually get there. You know, one thing you can't do, you can't, you can't make plans when you enter a situation that you have no control over. You know what I'm saying? You kind of got to observe and play it by ear.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Do you think there's a chance they'll reduce your sentence because of all the community service work you've been doing?
T.I.
Well, I mean, you know, God works in mysterious ways. There's nothing that I have any knowledge of. All I know right now is a year and a day, and I'll be blessed to get that.
Co-Host/Interviewer
T. I want to know about some of these kids that you're helping. Like, what are they? Like, what are some of their stories?
T.I.
Well, everything. Some of them are young, young hustlers who, you know, saying, who find. Find a way to make money on the streets. Some of them are home invaders who used to break their houses to get money to feed their families. Some are gang bangers from la. It's a lot of different cases, you know, each individual have a different set of circumstances to deal with.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember after you were first arrested, reading an interview or seeing something about the reason that you were going to buy the guns and the reason that you went there that day. Was because you were scared and you wanted to be able to protect yourself. How do you tell someone?
T.I.
I was extremely paranoid. I was extremely paranoid, and I had altered judgment because of that paranoia. You know, there was a great deal of grief, a great deal of pain, A great deal of unapproached issues that I dealt with ever since my partner had died in my arms in Cincinnati. And, you know, I just went about. I went about dealing with those things the wrong way, you know, and one thing led to another, and that's what got me in that parking lot.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Do you still think people want to harm you?
T.I.
I know that there are still people that would. You know what I'm saying, that would make mean me harm more than they would like to mean me. Well, but I gotta put my trust in God, not guns, you know?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
And is that what you tell on the TV show? Is that what you tell a kid who's coming to you from a place of fear?
T.I.
Absolutely, man. You know, all things are possible, man. You get the courage after you do the things to scare the hell out of you, not before.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yeah.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
Well, ti. We want to say congratulations on taking home the Grammy. It's your third, right?
T.I.
Yes, it is.
Co-Host/Interviewer
And tell us about that performance with the very pregnant Mia.
Melissa
Yes.
T.I.
Hey, man, we all had a phenomenal time, man. It was a wonderful moment. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was an honor and a pleasure to be, you know, among such great guys and such elite performers. Get it?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
The burch show. You're on the burch show. All right, Jeff, you want to take it from here?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yeah. First of all, I'm bothered that and I came in.
Co-Host/Interviewer
You did it.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
I know, but I just.
Co-Host/Interviewer
You did it.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Bothering. Kind of a revelation that people just always think I'm up to something.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Well, it's generally because you're usually up to something.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
Olivia Newton-John
I love it.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Do I look shady?
Co-Host/Interviewer
No, you just sometimes think things are funny other people may not think are funny.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Well, look, here's the deal. A couple weeks ago, Jen's involvement should make you feel a little less.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Well, she was very vague with me yesterday. But I do trust Jen.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Well, she's become more evil the more she hangs out with Jeff. There was a time where I would completely trust Jen, but that time has long since passed.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Well, it was something that I thought of and brought it up to Jeff.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yeah.
Co-Host/Interviewer
And this is Jen's idea?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Kind of. I mean, here's what happened.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Notice how I said that in a very lighthearted way. Oh, it was Jen's idea then. No offense, Jeff.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
You had asked me a question about a month ago.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Okay.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Jen overheard it.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Okay.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
About a week later, she took the nugget of that question and came back to me and said, you know, it would be a good idea essentially for your birthday, which is in a few weeks, Right?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Correct.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Okay. She goes, this would be a great idea for Melissa's birthday. So I put the wheels in motion. It just so happens that everything came down while we were on vacation last week. And today's. You're getting an early birthday present.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Okay.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
So there's somebody on the telephone who would like to say good morning to you and know that this the nugget of. It's a gift from all of us. But the nugget is Jen's, so it is good.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
But the problem here is that Melissa has been previously scarred by a surprise guest from Jeff.
Co-Host/Interviewer
I'm truly nervous because there was a time in which we. And it was a birthday scenario, and it was a few years ago, and I forgot whose birthday it was for first. But Jeff had done this really. Or somehow this really cool thing was done for Jeff or Jeff did it for somebody else for their birthday. Really cool thing. And then my birthday came up. So he said, oh, we're gonna. He's. I got this great celebrity interview. You're gonna be so excited. They're gonna come in studio. Oh, my God. You won't be able to. You can'. Wait. And then ended up being Jordan Knight. From who? You don't care about who at the time was not on the hot list
and you had no idea what to say.
And I had no idea what to say. And he completely set me up because he thought it was funny. But I was so embarrassed and felt so awkward, and I thought, I will never trust that man again. So when he said, oh, I got a surprise for. And here's an early birthday present, I'm like, I'm truly nervous right now because I think, oh, God, am I going to be in an uncomfortable situation again?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Saint Melissa, say hello. Say hello to your birthday present. And I think this one should, if anything, redeem my past.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Cleanse that. No offense to Jordan Knight.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Go ahead. She's on. Say hello.
Melissa
Okay.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Hello.
Hi.
Olivia Newton-John
This is Jordan.
Melissa
Yes. Alyssa.
Olivia Newton-John
This is Olivia Newton John.
Melissa
Oh, my God.
911 Dispatcher
Hi.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Thank you so much.
Melissa
Oh, my goodness.
Co-Host/Interviewer
I'm coming to see you the night before my birthday.
Melissa
Yeah.
Olivia Newton-John
Well, yes. I'd like you to come to my show. I'm coming into town.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yes.
Olivia Newton-John
And I'd love you to come to the show and be my guest. And Come back and meet me after the show.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, my God.
I would be. It would be my honor to do that. Oh, my gosh.
Olivia Newton-John
I hope you're not too embarrassed now.
Melissa
I've loved you for so long.
Co-Host/Interviewer
That's fantastic. I am Olivia Newton John. I am so. I don't know what to say because I have truly loved you for so long. So I am so glad that you're still on tour and still doing music and still getting your voice heard.
Olivia Newton-John
Oh, thank you. Yeah, I'm doing a short tour. You know, it's a couple of weeks. It's really, really close. I'm looking forward to coming to Atlanta because I always love Atlanta.
Co-Host/Interviewer
She'll be there March 10th.
Are you in the midst of rehearsals and everything right now or are you already out on tour?
Melissa
Not yet.
Olivia Newton-John
Not yet, no. We haven't started yet. And I get together with my band next week and. And we're starting in Nashville. That'd be really good because I love my band and it's really just a fun time when we all get together.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Can I ask you an age related question and if.
Olivia Newton-John
Sure.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Okay.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
She's like, oh, crap.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
It's really not about your age.
Olivia Newton-John
Alright. Everyone knows how old I am. I'm sure, go ahead.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
It's not about your current age even. But I remember years ago having a conversation with somebody that told me that you were 30 years old when you were in Greece, the movie.
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah, I was. Yeah. I was 29.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
Really?
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah, I was really worried actually, because I thought, oh, how am I getting? I look at it now and I go, what were you thinking? But at the time, I asked for a screen test because I was worried that I could pull it off and I, you know, I was so worried about everything. You're so worried when you're young, when you've got it all going on. It's so funny, isn't it? And anyway, we did the screen test, John and I, and it turned out really good. Yeah, pretty amazing. And it's still going on. I still meet people every day who love the movie. It's incredible.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Is it? I don't want to say the word offensive, but, you know, now people are calling like High School Musical and High School Musical 2, sort of the grease of this generation. Have you seen that movie? And do you find or is it just a completely different thing for you?
Olivia Newton-John
You know, I'm embarrassed to say I haven't seen it. I should see it because one of my friends, Kenny Ortega, is one of the directors and producers of that show and he was the choreographer of Xanadu. So it all kind of ties in. Isn't it funny? There's such a Small world, but I haven't seen it. No. Is it good?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah, it's really good.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I had to watch it 13 times because I have a 6 year old.
Co-Host/Interviewer
And that comes with the territory.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
It comes with the territory, Right.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
How far after Greece did you realize that you had made something that's. That's timeless?
Olivia Newton-John
Well, I guess, you know, after like 10 years. And it was still, you know, 10 years and then 15, and then now, of course, it's like 30 years. It's unbelievable to me. And still every show I do that here the songs and little girls come in poodle skirts. Seven years old. I mean, they just found the movie. So generation keeps discovering it. It's quite incredible.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Were you happy with grease 2?
Olivia Newton-John
I didn't think it was that good a movie, unfortunately, because it had really good people in it. Michelle Pfeiffer, who's amazing. But I think it was a disappointment as a movie.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I'm so glad you said that.
Olivia Newton-John
With good actors and stuff.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I think it was the worst sequel ever made.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, it's because she wasn't in it.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I really do. I think it was terrible.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah. Now I now, with Xanadu too, was a big cult favorite and of course has now hit Broadway. How do you feel about that?
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah.
Melissa
Oh, fantastic.
Olivia Newton-John
Because John Farrow, who's one of my best friends, wrote, you know, the big songs, Magic and Suddenly and that show and. And it was so funny. I went to the premiere of it in New York and I. I probably laughed more than anybody. I thought the funniest thing. Did you see it?
Co-Host/Interviewer
No, I have not seen it yet.
Olivia Newton-John
It was so funny because they, they, you know, the girl did my accent and she took all my mannerisms and she sent me up something so funny. I was like on the floor.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, that's even.
Olivia Newton-John
It was great. It was really funny. It was a great show. I loved it.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
When you saw that, was she aware that you were in the audience? Cause that's really. If you.
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah, yeah. Poor thing.
911 Dispatcher
I think.
Olivia Newton-John
I'm sure it made her nervous and I didn't want her to be nervous, but I know I would have been nervous too. But she did a great job. She was really talented. And I hear there's another cast going now. I think they're doing a tune company now, and it's supposed to be very good. Or everyone. Whoopi Goldberg did a. A guest shot in it.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, did she?
Very cool.
Very cool.
Olivia, if there's one young artist today that you could predict would have a career as long as yours, who would it be?
Olivia Newton-John
Oh, golly, I haven't thought about that question. Young artist. Oh, Jennifer Holiday. Her voice just blows me away. And she's a consummate actress.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Jennifer Hudson.
Olivia Newton-John
Jennifer Hudson. Sorry, Jennifer Hudson. Yeah. I think she's got an incredible voice and she put such heart in it and she just touches me every time she sings. There's a lot of young, talented people out there, though. A lot. And of course, I can't think of one because you've asked me the question,
Melissa
but there are so.
Olivia Newton-John
There are a lot of talented singers out there at the moment. Really incredible. And after I hang up, I'm going to go, ah, why didn't I say that?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Well, you're going to see Melissa at the show, so you can just tell me.
Olivia Newton-John
I'd have to say Chloe Lattanzi, who you haven't really heard yet, except she did a TV show, but she's working on her album right now and she's got it all happening. She's beautiful. She's got a great voice. She can act.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Who is that again?
Olivia Newton-John
My daughter, Chloe.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Oh, yeah, you better say her.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Of course.
T.I.
Of course.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Well, Melissa, anything else you want to say about that?
Co-Host/Interviewer
I just want to say I look so. I look so forward to your show because I've been given. I've been talking about going to your show because I had already gotten tickets, but now I get to meet you and that's so exciting. And so thanks for coming to Atlanta and thanks, Jeff, for a fantastic birthday present. So I can't wait to see you on March 7th.
Olivia Newton-John
When I hang up, you're going to go, why did you do that to me?
Co-Host/Interviewer
I'm going to do it like you're going to say, why didn't I say this to her so.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Well, you can say it all to her in person when she's here in.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
In concert.
Olivia Newton-John
Thank you, Olivia, much. I look forward to meeting you. And it'll be a fun show. I'll do them all. Stuff from all those movie room things that you like.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Fantastic. I can't wait.
Olivia Newton-John
All right, thanks for calling.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Bye.
911 Dispatcher
Bye.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Bye.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
How cool is that? You handled yourself well. You handled yourself well. You kept it together.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
I wish I always think of this one second too late, but why wasn't the video camera on Melissa when Olivia, your face was.
Co-Host/Interviewer
She was my first love I had, so I knew I was a lesbian when I was little and I had my crush on Olivia Newton John.
Melissa
I love her that.
Olivia Newton-John
Yay.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
When she came out as Sandy at the very, very end of that movie,
Melissa
those leather pants on.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Damn.
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Threw that cigarette down and stomped on it.
Olivia Newton-John
Yeah.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Oh, yeah. You never forget that.
Melissa
Never forget that.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
You never forget your first leather panted.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Sandy, you're on the Vert show.

Co-Host/Interviewer
This is pretty unbelievable. We want to share this 911 call with you guys because I heard this
story yesterday and I couldn't find the audio.
So I'm excited. Yes, this is a guy in Boynton Beach, Florida who has called 911 to complain about the service that at Burger King because he found out they didn't have lemonade. Let's listen to what this guy sounds like.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Hello?
Melissa
Are you at Burger King?
911 Caller (Burger King)
Yeah, I'm in The Burger King Boulevard.
Melissa
1521 West Point Beach Boulevard.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Yeah, I don't have the address.
Melissa
What's going on there?
911 Caller (Burger King)
I'm coming here to buy something. I place another when I get there, I'm in the window. I tell the lady, I want the lady lemonade. She say, you, you I don't have. We don't have lemonade. I say, why you didn't say that to me before?
Olivia Newton-John
Okay?
Melissa
Now are you in. Sir, listen to me. Are you in the drive in or are you inside the store?
911 Caller (Burger King)
I'm driving the drive in.
Melissa
All right. Are you blocking the customers?
911 Caller (Burger King)
All right. No, I'm going. She says she's going to let me make me stay with you for 15 minutes. That's what she says. Okay. Before she. Give me the food.
Melissa
Okay. And the food's not done, sir. The food's not done.
911 Caller (Burger King)
The food is done. The food is done. She says she's going to mute you stay here for 15 minutes. Because I'm talking too much with her. That's what she said. I come from work, I'm hungry. I come to here to buy something. She said she's going to make mistake.
Melissa
What's your name? Jean.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Yes.
Melissa
If they want you to move from the window, I need you to move from the window, okay? The police will come. You cannot dial 911 cuz you're unhappy with your burger. Okay? Do you understand that?
911 Caller (Burger King)
What about the foodie side moon? What about this?
Melissa
If it takes 15 minutes to cook, it takes 15 minutes to cook. You don't need to call 911 as a 911 operator.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Having to explain that to.
Hilarious.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
And you know, if we. The phones are all lit up now with guys calling for the Phillips cooking package. But if the phones were open, we could take calls, I guarantee you from 911 operators in Atlanta who have to deal with phone calls like this all the time.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, yes, I bet.
Fast food phone calls to 91 1. Would you ever let that cross your mind? I would never.
I think if anybody. I think there are some people that truly believe if I. If there's anything going on that's wrong, they call 911.
T.I.
Yes.
Co-Host/Interviewer
You know, like who do I call? I have to complain?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
911, we've had people. We've had audio before from cities where people have called up and said, hey, can you tell me what time it is?
Co-Host/Interviewer
No.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yes. Because they just think. It just gets in their head. Do you have. Sean, can you find the 911 call from the crazy old lady? Because that needs an encourage.
Co-Host/Interviewer
There's a second part to this Burger King.
Call it lady.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yeah, we fire up the second part before you look for that.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Here we go.
Melissa
Have you given them any money?
911 Caller (Burger King)
No.
Melissa
No. Have they given you any food?
Olivia Newton-John
No.
Melissa
No. Okay, then you can drive away, sir.
911 Caller (Burger King)
No, I moved the car.
Melissa
Okay, move the car then.
911 Caller (Burger King)
If I'm hungry. Why? She thinks he's not going to give me the food.
Melissa
Come on. Come on. I know you don't seriously think that the police need to make Burger King give you food faster? I cannot believe that.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Oh, sweetie, sweetie. She's washing people. That's the way she is.
Melissa
Okay, sir, well, the police are going to come, so just wait in the parking lot. You can't block their drive through, though.
T.I.
Okay?
Melissa
Do you understand that? Are you still in the parking lot?
911 Caller (Burger King)
Yeah.
Melissa
Do you want the police to come and talk to you?
911 Caller (Burger King)
I don't like the way she's acting with the customers. I'm a customer. I'm coming here to buy something, to buy some food. She's. If she has some problem. Wrong. She went to. She's crying here. She's supposed to be nice with people.
Melissa
I understand that, but that's not a police matter, sir. Customer service is not a reason to call 911-911-IS if you're dying. Do you understand that? Okay. Don't call 911 because you're unhappy with somebody. Customer service. I understand that you don't think she should be rude to you, but you can't call 911 for that.
Co-Host/Interviewer
And he's probably disappointed, like, okay, all right.
Melissa
So don't do that anymore. Okay? Because it's only for people that have a life or death emergency.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Okay.
911 Dispatcher
All right.
Melissa
Hold on one second.
911 Caller (Burger King)
Yeah. I'm coming here to buy some food.
T.I.
Yeah.
911 Caller (Burger King)
I get the window and he's asking me what I need. I say, I need number seven, lemonade. She said, okay. When I get the window, she said, we don't have. I need Coke. I have code. I said, I don't need Coke. Give me the demonet.
Co-Host/Interviewer
He won't give it up.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Okay, who's he talking to at the end?
Co-Host/Interviewer
It sounds like it was at the
drive through to her or at the drive through. Somebody at the drive through because he got mad because he can't have lemonade.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
And you know what he did is he got off the phone with her, you know, and called whoever his cousin is friend and said, I just called 911. And they were just as bad as the no lemonade Burger King customer service.
Co-Host/Interviewer
It was terrible.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yes.
Co-Host/Interviewer
But so funny.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
And could you imagine, like, if I was the manager of that Burger King, I almost want the cops to come.
911 Dispatcher
Right.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
All right, can you tell me what happened with the gentleman outside in the car?
Co-Host/Interviewer
We were out of lemonade.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yes, we ran out of lemonade, so I offered him a Coke instead. And then he called you. What else happened? That's it.
Co-Host/Interviewer
That's all.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
That's it. And when's the last time we played the stoned cop calling 911?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, now that one is hilarious.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Find the 911 cop. Sean's actually excited. This is a guy who.
Co-Host/Interviewer
This is so funny. Awesome.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
He calls 911 because he and his wife had gotten into some brownies.
Co-Host/Interviewer
He's stoned and he's freaking out, and he calls 911 again. It doesn't matter whether you are sober or not. If you have a problem, you call 911.
But didn't he take this stash from the evidence room?
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Yes, and he didn't know how good or bad it was, dummy.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Funny. 911 calls.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Please still be in there. Please still be in there.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Sean is. So I have both, actually now. The pay it lady and.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Okay, all right, let's skip play it lady. We'll put her online. Let's go right to stone.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
911 cop emergency.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, can you please send rescue to. I think I'm having an overdose. That is still as my wife.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, you and your wife?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yes.
911 Dispatcher
Overdose of what?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Marijuana, but I don't know if it had something in it. Okay, can you please send rescue?
911 Dispatcher
Okay. How old are you?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I'm 28. 29 years old, and my wife is 26. Please come.
911 Dispatcher
26?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yes, please.
911 Dispatcher
Have you guys been drinking also?
911 Caller (Overdose)
What?
911 Dispatcher
Have you guys been drinking today, too?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No. That's it?
911 Caller (Burger King)
No.
911 Dispatcher
Is there any weapons in the house?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No. Please come.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, we're on our way. Are you guys, like. Do you guys have fever or anything?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No, I'm just. I think we're dying.
911 Dispatcher
How much did you guys have?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I don't know. We made brownies and I think we're dead. I really do.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. How much did you put in the brownies?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I don't know.
911 Dispatcher
Was it a bag? Who made the brownies?
911 Caller (Overdose)
My wife and I did. Cuba, come here.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, you can get hurt.
911 Caller (Overdose)
She's on the. She's on the living room ground right now.
911 Dispatcher
Is she breathing?
911 Caller (Overdose)
She's barely breathing.
911 Dispatcher
Is she awake?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I think so.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. Can you look?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Pardon?
911 Dispatcher
Can you look?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, I could feel her. She's laying right down in front of me. Time is going by really, really, really, really slow.
911 Dispatcher
Do you know how much you bought and put in the brownies?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Pardon?
911 Dispatcher
How much did you buy?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I don't. Just please send rescue.
911 Dispatcher
They're on the way, but I'm trying to figure out how much you bought and put into the brownies, sir.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Probably like a quarter ounce total.
911 Dispatcher
A quarter ounce total into the brownies. Did you guys eat all the brownies?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, we did.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
You wouldn't believe what we ate.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Cheetos.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, and you ate all. But how many? Was it a big batch, a little batch?
T.I.
It was.
911 Caller (Overdose)
It was a quarter ounce.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, but brownie wise, how many pieces do you guys think you guys had?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I don't know. I probably had like a small chunk. Please come. It's. What time is it?
911 Dispatcher
It's 9:37. When did you guys last eat the brownies?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Probably like an hour and a half ago.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, Is your wife still. Is your wife still breathing?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, she is.
911 Caller (Burger King)
She's sitting.
911 Caller (Overdose)
She's kneeling down in front of me. Okay, I know we have to wait.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. And is she Stacy Sanchez?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yes.
911 Dispatcher
What's your name?
911 Caller (Overdose)
My name is Edward.
911 Dispatcher
You're Edward Sanchez. Okay. And did you guys have any other sort of drugs you know of?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Pardon?
911 Dispatcher
You know, did you guys do anything else today besides marijuana?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No, that's it. But I don't know. What was it, the marijuana? Could have been. There could have been something in the marijuana.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, are you guys in any sort of prescription pills? You guys take any sort of other medication?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No, I don't. My wife takes Vicodin, though.
911 Dispatcher
And did she take any today?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No, I don't think so.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, where's the Vicodin?
911 Caller (Overdose)
The Vicodin is. I don't. It's in our medicine cabinet.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, but how many. Does she take it on a regular basis? Yeah, how many does she take on a regular basis? Two, four, eight.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Like, I don't know, like five a day?
911 Dispatcher
Please. She takes about five a day? Yeah, they're on the way and they've been in raw for two minutes. It's now 9:38.
T.I.
Okay.
911 Dispatcher
She takes about how many? Eight, five a day?
911 Caller (Overdose)
What's that?
911 Dispatcher
How many does she take a day?
911 Caller (Overdose)
She takes like, I don't know, like six.
911 Dispatcher
Six a day?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Like five a day? I don't know.
T.I.
She.
911 Caller (Overdose)
We got into a car accident in Dearborn Heights last year.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. And you don't know how many she's taken today?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. Is there. Is there any animals in the house?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Is there any. What?
911 Dispatcher
Do you have any dogs, cats?
911 Caller (Overdose)
I'll put them away for you.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. Is the front door open?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Huh? Yeah, the front door's open. Come here.
911 Dispatcher
Porch light on?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Pardon?
911 Dispatcher
Is the porch light on?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yes, the porch light is on.
911 Dispatcher
Are there any weapons in the house?
911 Caller (Overdose)
You already asked me that.
911 Dispatcher
And what'd you say?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah. Well, no, there is.
911 Dispatcher
Where is that?
911 Caller (Overdose)
It's in my closet. It's in my closet.
911 Dispatcher
Is that in the back bedroom?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, in the front bedroom.
911 Dispatcher
In the front bedroom?
T.I.
Yeah.
911 Dispatcher
Okay. Okay.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Come on, Ginger. Where's FD at right now?
911 Dispatcher
They're on the way, sir. Do you guys do this on a regular basis?
911 Caller (Overdose)
No, they. The first time that we've ever done it.
911 Dispatcher
And you've never done marijuana before part?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah, I have.
911 Dispatcher
You have. And you've never had this reaction to it before, ever?
911 Caller (Overdose)
What's the score in the Red Wings game?
Melissa
What?
911 Caller (Overdose)
What's the score in the Red Wings game?
911 Dispatcher
I've got no clue. I don't watch the Red Wings.
T.I.
Oh, okay.
911 Caller (Overdose)
I just want to make sure this isn't some type of like hallucination that I'm having.
911 Dispatcher
Oh, why, What a score.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Say three to three.
911 Dispatcher
When channel's it on?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Channel two. It's two to two, huh?
911 Dispatcher
It's two to two.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Okay. Your police, tell your officers they just passed me.
911 Dispatcher
Okay? They just passed you?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Yeah.
911 Dispatcher
Okay, but you're up. Okay, well, we'll let them know. Okay. Go outside and flag them down. Okay.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Okay. My mother in law just got here too.
Melissa
Okay.
911 Dispatcher
All righty.
911 Caller (Overdose)
Alrighty. Bye bye bye.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
That right there. Who are you? Wah, wah, wah.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Buzz kill.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Who are you more disturbed to see? Your mother in law or the police?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Mother.
Mother in law.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Yes.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Card was buzz Jail. You know, he called her first.
911 Dispatcher
Oh, that's so cool.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
And it was the same conversation.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Please come. I think we're dead.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
I think we're dying. What time is it? Because time is going really, really, really, really, really, really slowly.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, it's so sad when he says, I.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Hey, Robert, welcome to the show.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
Hey guys, what's going on? I was a 911 operator in Texas with the military. And you know, we got calls all the time. And I guess we would get particularly crazy ones because people think, well, this is the military. So if, you know, I mean, White Sands, New Mexico is right down the, you know, down the way from us. And we would get UFO calls all the time. And an old lady called and she was adamant that there was a UFO hovering over her house.
T.I.
Very.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
I mean, she was, she was freaking out about it and she was, you know, just going crazy and. And you know, she wasn't even in our jurisdiction and so we couldn't really send anybody out. And we, you know, she. There was, there was nothing really going on. We looked up her information and everything and actually had a neighbor go on, go over and check on her and she, she really, really wanted to talk to somebody. So I, I transferred her to the air Force Command 6 Army Airfield because
Co-Host/Interviewer
she wanted you guys to do a UFO investigation.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
And so I said, well, you know, it's not really the Army's purview of UFOs. You, I'll transfer you to, to Biggs Army Airfield.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Maybe she's eating the. Maybe she's eating the same brownies as the other dude was.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
Well, you know, now that I think about it, we were next to white sand, so she might have been telling the truth. I'll never know.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Right? Thanks for the call, Robert. Thanks.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Listen, it's the Vert Show.

Show Host (The Burch Show)
So each year I take a mancation that I tell you guys about every year. This is no friends, no family. Just go and be totally by myself for an entire Week.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Pretty. I mean, a lot of people give you a lot of flack for it, right?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I mean, about 50% of people go, I understand it. I totally get it. And the other 50 are like, let me get this straight. You don't want to share this with your wife or your family or whatever. Why would you want to do that? And for me, it's just. It has really nothing to do with Stacey and nothing to do with hanging out with my family. It's just, I need me time, man, just to clear my head and just be away from everything. Work pressures, family pressures. And I'm lucky enough that I got a wife that understands that. I mean, I was doing these vacations before Stace came along, and she's been cool enough to allow me and give me, like, her graces to continue to do them. So I go once a year. This time, she was putting up a really pretty good front. Like, she was telling me it was cool to go. But about midweek, when I was checking in with her, I could tell her she. She wasn't so cool with it.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah, she was.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
She was struggling with this one. It wasn't even so much the boy. It was the boys, but it was also some other stuff. It triggered some other stuff for her recently, you know, with the whole prescription drugs and everything and getting off of those and just not having me around. It was. It was more painful for her this time. So that coupled with. She was sick during the week and Hayden was sick during the week. I ended up coming home a little bit early, but for the week that I was down there in Argentina, it was everything that I wanted it to be. It was. I purposely didn't stay in the main town. I stayed in the mountains, and I put the pictures up on Facebook. It was just one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to in my life. It literally. It's funny because somebody made this comment on Facebook, and I thought it. When I was there, it was heavy. It literally looks like. I imagine what heaven looks like.
T.I.
Wow.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Just all of these mountains all around with these seven or eight different lakes and the mist coming off the lake in the morning, and it just looked like this perfect, perfect paradise. And it was awesome. And I just checked out a little too well because nobody down there really spoke English. I mean, I really put myself in isolation here, and it was a. There were 24 hours there where it was really, really hard. Like, I want to believe that I can get by by myself and really be kind of at peace with my own thoughts. But, man, when you spend that much time by yourself, you really are in touch with the things that you like about yourself and the things you think suck.
Interviewer (The Burch Show)
Mm.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
And while you're thinking, what sort of
Co-Host/Interviewer
revelations did you have?
Yeah, I'm timid. So, Barb, Fun.
Melissa
You bring that up.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I would say that I'm. I'm. I want to be less coarse some of my relationships. Sometimes I think I tend to be a little bit coarse.
Co-Host/Interviewer
What does that mean?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Just like a little terse, a little hard sometimes. And I understand why I am, but I don't like to be, like. I want to be more patient, and I hate the fact that I'm not more patient. Just a little kinder. I think in some cases also, I think, as a general rule, I'm a kind dude, but just more so. But you're balancing all that stuff out, you know? And while you're. While I'm sitting there, I'm thinking, I'm like, these are the great things that are going on in my life, and these are the things that I just got to change when I get back.
Co-Host/Interviewer
What's the biggest argument you have inside your head?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
The biggest argument I have inside of my head while I'm on those trips.
Co-Host/Interviewer
These are beautiful pictures, by the way.
Olivia Newton-John
Thanks.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Oh, it looks like from a postcard,
Show Host (The Burch Show)
and the pictures don't. It can't do it justice. There's no camera that can do this. The biggest struggle I have is. I'll tell you what it is. I have always been like this, and I am really struggling with it, especially lately, is I don't know how to be content. I don't know how to be content in my relationships. I don't know how to be content in this show. I don't know how to be content with my friends. I have no contentment. If I'm in one place, I always want to be somewhere else. If the show is doing great, if we're number one in the ratings, I want to be number one by a longer period, by. By more ground.
Co-Host/Interviewer
But isn't. But it's kind of hard to balance that because that part of your personality is what's made you successful. So is there a fear?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I don't.
Co-Host/Interviewer
I don't know if you can slow the engines down too much if that.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
You know, it's just draining, though. But it's so draining that it takes away from the great stuff that I have in my life. I've got a killer wife. I've got great kids that are healthy. I get to go on these trips. I've Got a great staff here. I really, truly love working with everybody here. This radio station has given me everything that I've wanted, and I can't appreciate it, and it sucks. It pisses me off.
Co-Host/Interviewer
So you argue with yourself, saying, chill out and appreciate it. And then the other half of you is like, no, you can't stop.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Right. It's exactly what Melissa said. Well, if I stop, will I lose it? All right, So I think that's probably my biggest struggle. And, yeah, I struggled with it all week long, even. You know, one of the things I love about these trips is I can get up in the morning and I can make a decision. And then every decision I made, I thought I should have made the other decision.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Do you ever get a chance on these trips to turn your thoughts off?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Yes. Yes. There was. There was one time there. This was the highlight of the trip. It's gonna sound so corny because I did a bunch of cool things. I went whitewater rafting. And on this one whitewater rafting trip, they let you actually jump out of the raft and you could go down the rapids without the raft.
911 Dispatcher
Nice.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
So I did that. I went horseback riding. I did a whole bunch of cool stuff. But the most at peace I was was one night I spent on the lake. There was nobody around. Nobody around. And I was in this beach chair, and the sun was setting, and I was there for, like, three hours. And I. For whatever reason, in that three hours, I was completely free. And that's what I was going for for the week. I just wanted more of that, and I couldn't get there.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Sometimes you can't get away from your thoughts.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I can't slow it down.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Change of location. Didn't you know?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
It doesn't turn it off.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
You know, I've tried the meditation thing also, which is just so frustrating. My mom can go to these meditation retreats all weekend. She pays. I've told you guys about this. My mom will pay somebody $10,000 to go to a meditation retreat, which means you sit in a room and you don't talk.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Right. You take a vow of silence at those things.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
$10,000.
Melissa
Come to my house, give me five
Show Host (The Burch Show)
grand, sit in the basement.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah. I'll charge you half the rate.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
My mom can meditate for 30, 45 minutes. She meditated through 9, 11.
Robert (911 Operator Caller)
Remember that?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
World Trade center is toppling around her. Oh, no.
Co-Host/Interviewer
I didn't know anything was that.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
I was meditating. What happened?
Co-Host/Interviewer
Yeah. I'm impressed by people who can do it because it is very difficult. So Difficult, because you have to completely turn off your thoughts. And that's really hard to do because as soon as you start turning, trying to turn them off, you're like, why am I thinking about turning them off?
911 Caller (Overdose)
Now I'm thinking.
Co-Host/Interviewer
So it's like that inner dialogue that you have going on in your head all the time. It's being able to get rid of that, and that's so hard to do.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Well, for me, it's a victory. Also, like, if I have a split second where I'm not thinking of anything, I go, oh, my God. I just didn't think anything. Oh, my God.
Co-Host/Interviewer
I'm thinking of it now.
I'm thinking about the fact that I did it right.
I would think it'd be harder to be by yourself and not to turn off your thoughts, because I would think about things more if I was by myself.
Probably. Yeah. Your thoughts become a little bit louder.
Yeah, yeah.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
In a lot of cases, that's true.
Co-Host/Interviewer
You focus more on everything that's wrong. I mean, in my life, that's probably what would happen.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
It was the loneliness got to a point. Like I said, there was 24 hours there. It was Super Bowl Sunday, and I walked into a room that had the super bowl playing, and there was nobody in there. It was just me. And I'm watching the super bowl on ESPN Deportes, and one guy from Guadalajara walks into the room and he sits next to me and we start watching the game together, right? And about 10, 15 minutes into it, he says to me, are you talking to me? And I realized I was talking to the TV about the game that was going on. I was so lonely that I didn't even realize espn.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Talk to me.
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Talk to me. I felt like Tom Hanks in Castaway
Co-Host/Interviewer
about to get that volleyball.

But if you are looking to vacation and really, really, really get away, you can get some great deals right now. Going down to Argentina and be totally at peace. Or a honeymoon. I would suggest it also because I'm taking the family back again next year. I didn't realize how great a trip it would be for family, or I probably would have chosen a different destination this time. But we're gonna go back next year and bring the whole family because it was just that awesome. Or honeymoon would be perfect.
Co-Host/Interviewer
Do you think you'll do any more of these mancations?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Yeah, I'm a little scared of them now. I'm a little scared.
T.I.
Why?
Show Host (The Burch Show)
Because it was. I mean, you do a lot of thinking, you know, and I wouldn't want to do it more than once a year. And I remember coming back from Venezuela and feeling, like, guilt about not having, like, I don't have a lot of time when I'm not on vacation. So, like, the time I do have, maybe I should be spending with the kids more. And I sort of felt that when I got back on this one. Also, like, man, I don't want to look back. I want to be one of those people that looks back and says, look, you took that time for yourself when maybe you should have been hanging out with your kids. And who knows what could have happened in that one week that would have been, like, epic in their lives. I don't know. So I don't know. I'm always struggling with it. Should I go? Shouldn't I go? But then going always gives in.
T.I.
Mm.

Cole Swindell
Hey, it's Cole Swindell. After I give everything I've got to land a perfect vocal, I usually take five before jumping into the next track. And I've learned exactly how to recharge charge in that time, some folks grab coffee, I hit a quick good luck spin. Next thing you know, the break is just as fun as laying down the track. A better break makes for a better take. Need a break? Let's Chumba.
