Jeff (Host)
We're talking about the Super Bowl. And off the air, we just had a long conversation about favorite and least favorite commercials during. I know the Snickers one got a lot of talk, but I didn't see that one.
Melissa (Co-host)
I didn't see that one either.
Jeff (Host)
Betty White was in that.
Melissa (Co-host)
Oh, that's the one. Yes. No, they were. I did see that one. That was where it was a bunch of guys just playing backyard football. But at the beginning of the commercial, you see Betty White as one of the people playing as the receiver and, like, just getting hit and knocked around all over the place. And so the quarterback comes up to her and says, I mean, what is wrong with you? You're playing like Betty White. And he goes, I'm just. I'm just so worn out. Then a girl comes up to him and says, honey, here's a Snicker. And once Betty White ate the snicker, she turned into a guy and said, thanks so much. And so it. Yeah, so that was cute.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Very cute. Mike, Come on, Mike. What is your deal, man? Come on, man.
Jeff (Host)
You've been riding me all day.
Colleen (Guest or Co-host)
You're playing like Betty White out there.
Dinesha (Co-host)
That's not what your girlfriend says, Bab.
Jeff (Host)
So what we're gonna do is play these commercials, and you guys have to try to remember what the. And you can call to 404-741-Q100 call and try to identify the business, okay. Based on the product, based on the audio from the commercial.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Okay.
Brandy (Guest or Co-host)
When I first started, I was like, casual Fridays, awesome morning. I've kind of changed my position.
Dinesha (Co-host)
A.
Brandy (Guest or Co-host)
I Mean, if people want to express themselves, I am right there with you.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Hi.
Jeff (Host)
Hey, Terry.
Colleen (Guest or Co-host)
We've decided to make casual Fridays all week.
Brandy (Guest or Co-host)
Of course, if it's mandatory, it can't be casual.
Safeway/Albertsons Advertiser
Nice pants, Terry.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Oh, that one's awesome.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Is that the one where they're all in their underwear?
Melissa (Co-host)
Yeah. Do you want us to answer, or you want listeners to answer?
Jeff (Host)
If you know. Yeah, listeners can call in and we'll play them for you on the phone. But, yeah, if you. Do you know what it is?
Melissa (Co-host)
Well, my first guess is monster.com?
Jeff (Host)
wrong.
Melissa (Co-host)
Okay.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
It's for lead pants.
Jeff (Host)
Wrong.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Well, I can't participate because I have the answers in front of me, so.
Melissa (Co-host)
Because it's for finding a new job.
Jeff (Host)
Yes.
Melissa (Co-host)
And my first thought is monster.com careerbuilder.com careerbuilder. Sorry. Career builder. Yeah, same.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Gotcha.
Melissa (Co-host)
Brandy.
Brandy (Guest or Co-host)
I'm honored to be here. After 29 seasons and 50 years old. When you're older than most of the fans and coaches and owners, it's tough taking orders from people. Should probably retire after this.
Dinesha (Co-host)
I don't know.
Jeff (Host)
Maybe we don't know what things will be like 10 years from now.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Thank you.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
I love that one. I just love that Brett Favre has such a great sense of humor about retiring.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Do you think he actually did it? Do you think he participated in the commercial, or did they just superimpose him from some other speech?
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Yeah, he participated.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
He did.
Jeff (Host)
Yeah. That was really. He was talking about, I remember the ad.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
I just can't remember. Remember what it's for. Is it Bud Light?
Jeff (Host)
I mean, he was great, and he was. Yeah, it was intense.
Melissa (Co-host)
This was supposed to be 2020.
Jeff (Host)
That's what he said after 30 years.
Melissa (Co-host)
Yeah, I guess.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Dodge, boy.
Jeff (Host)
Melissa's not an advertiser's friend today. Anyone else?
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
I was going with, like, Bud Light,
Jeff (Host)
Hyundai.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Melissa was close.
Melissa (Co-host)
I've got. I'm in the same.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
You know, you're in the right industry.
Melissa (Co-host)
In. Right industry.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
But I just said that Dodge commercial. That Dodge Charger Commerc Was hilarious.
Jeff (Host)
The guy one.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
The guy one where he was like, I will take out the recycling.
Jeff (Host)
See, I thought that was too. I thought it was long and boring.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
I thought it was so funny.
Jeff (Host)
Too long. It took too long to get to the message.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
I was like, man's last stand.
Melissa (Co-host)
I loved it.
Jeff (Host)
Hey, Dinesha.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yes.
Jeff (Host)
Hey, you want to try to guess this next one?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Sure.
Jeff (Host)
All right.
Melissa (Co-host)
Since we can't get it right.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Okay, so it's 3708. Paper, plastic.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Plastic. That's the magic word. Green police.
Jeff (Host)
You picked the wrong day to mess
Brandy (Guest or Co-host)
with the ecosystem, plastic boy.
Dinesha (Co-host)
I know this one, the better.
Melissa (Co-host)
I know.
Allison (Co-host or Guest)
Let's go.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Take the house.
Allison (Co-host or Guest)
Put the rind down, sir. That's a compost infraction.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
This is funny.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
I love that one.
Jeff (Host)
Dinesha. What do you think it is?
Dinesha (Co-host)
I have no idea. I couldn't even hear it.
Jeff (Host)
Jen.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
I remember the Eco Police, but I can't remember what it was for. It was so funny.
Allison (Co-host or Guest)
Audi.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Oh, yeah.
Jeff (Host)
Melissa has. Melissa has to get that right or she gets fired. Yeah.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Jimmy.
Melissa (Co-host)
Allison is like, thank God.
Dinesha (Co-host)
I wear no pants. I wear no pants.
Allison (Co-host or Guest)
I wear, I wear, I wear, wear, no wear no pants. To stop and have a glass or I wear no pants.
Jeff (Host)
Hey, Joy. Hey, Joy.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yeah?
Jeff (Host)
Were you able to hear that last one?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yeah.
Jeff (Host)
The I wear no pants chant.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yep.
Jeff (Host)
Do you know who it was?
Dinesha (Co-host)
That was Dockers.
Jeff (Host)
Very good. Finally, we're five commercials in, and finally somebody's got it right.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Jeff, did you log on and get your free pair of pants?
Jeff (Host)
I didn't. Can you really get free pants?
Melissa (Co-host)
Cause it's time for men to wear the pants again. It was free pants. That was their tagline.
Jeff (Host)
I don't believe in free pants.
Melissa (Co-host)
He sits in his underwear. His casual Friday for Jeff every day.
Jeff (Host)
Hey, Colleen.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yeah?
Jeff (Host)
Hey, you want to try to guess this next one?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yes.
Jeff (Host)
Okay, go ahead.
Colleen (Guest or Co-host)
Get born, get slapped. Now get to school. Be good at sports. Always look cool. Lift weights, be strong, Know how to fight, Stay out late, but be polite now. Find a nice girl who'll say, I do. Then have three kids who look just like you. Rake the leaves from the hedge and mow the yard. Honey, can you open this jar? If you hear a noise in the middle of the night, go check it out with the flashlight. You've reached a stage where you feel at ease. You feel come this far. And it wasn't a breeze. You can take on anything. Of course you can. Because you're a man.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
Cause you're a man.
Jeff (Host)
Colleen, did you hear it?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yeah. It's D Body wash. That's right.
Jeff (Host)
I actually. My thought.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Body wash for men.
Jeff (Host)
My thought with that was, I still think it's going to be tough to get a guy to wash with something called dove. Like they should.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
No, they make it in that manly looking bottle.
Spinquest Advertiser
Dark blue.
Jeff (Host)
It still does.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Manly. And it is a body wash. Just
Melissa (Co-host)
spray some musk on you afterwards. A man.
Jeff (Host)
All right, we'll do one more right now. You want to try to guess this?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yes.
Jeff (Host)
All right. Yes.
Spinquest Legal Disclaimer
Yes.
Jeff (Host)
I Will.
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yellow one, blue one, Red one, White one, black one. It's a real one.
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
Grey one,
Jeff (Host)
red one, green one.
Safeway/Albertsons Advertiser
Green one.
Jeff (Host)
Candace, do you remember that one?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Yes.
Jeff (Host)
What was it?
Dinesha (Co-host)
Bud Light.
Jeff (Host)
Nope.
Jen (Co-host or Guest)
No, not Bud Light.
Jeff (Host)
Not even. She didn't even know. She was just throwing it out there. She's like, you know, Bud Light ran a lot of spots, but Budweiser?
Spinquest Legal Disclaimer
I don't know.
Jeff (Host)
Jen, you have a guess?
Jimmy (Co-host or Guest)
No, I don't.
Melissa (Co-host)
Bugswagon.
Jeff (Host)
Yes, there was the Punch Bug commercial,
Melissa (Co-host)
and it makes me sad because they don't make bugs anymore. Like they did a punch bug commercial. But the thing is, they were punching at every Volkswagen that went by.
Jeff (Host)
But you know what they're calling it? Punch Dub.
Melissa (Co-host)
Right. But it's from Punch Bug. Yeah, but the funny part was that it was Tracy Morgan and Stevie Wonder at the end, and Stevie Wonder punched Tracy Morgan and you know. And Tracy Morgan's. How did you know? So it's very funny. That's cute.

Featured Hosts/Guests: Bert Show Cast (Jeff, Melissa, Dinesha, Jen, Brandy, Jimmy, Colleen, Allison)
This engaging segment features the Bert Show crew reminiscing about classic Super Bowl commercials. Centered around a fun, interactive game, the group challenges each other (and listeners) to identify memorable ads using only their audio clips. With fast-paced banter and plenty of laughs, the team demonstrates just how deeply these commercials are woven into pop culture—and how hard it can be to recall the actual brands behind them.
[01:03–02:00]
[02:08–08:38]
The cast maintains a playful, slightly sarcastic tone, with inside jokes and camaraderie typical of morning radio teams. (Examples: teasing about knowing answers, riffing on masculinity in products, celebrating finally getting one right.) The banter captures both nostalgia for beloved ads and the fun of shared cultural memory.
This episode’s lively game highlights not only the lasting imprint of Super Bowl ads but also the hilarity that ensues when trying to match clever creative to brand names. Packed with jokes, affectionate roasts, and genuine love for commercial culture, the show offers a fun, lighthearted dive into what makes these moments so memorable.
