E
All right. Mark here wants to be on the voice disguiser. Hey, Mark. Good morning.
F
Morning.
E
Good morning. You're on the voice disguiser.
F
Okay.
E
How are you today?
F
I'm doing pretty good.
E
All right. So you are fairly certain that what you found on a friend's computer has been planted and it's not an accident?
F
That's what I'm thinking. I. Her computer, I had fixed it a few weeks ago, and she brought it back to me and said that she was having more problems with it. Normally, the scans that I do will pick up any data that is added to the computer since the last time I've worked on it and this particular set of photos, when I did the scan, it showed the file path going back to the desktop. So it was on the desktop for me to see it soon as the computer came up. But they were pictures of her and one of my good friends who was married. And they were doing things that they shouldn't have been doing in the pictures.
G
Okay.
E
Doing things they shouldn't have been.
D
Like what? Like kissing or what?
F
No, a lot more than kissing.
G
Oh.
H
So intimate acts?
F
Yes.
E
Oh, okay. I'm a little confused. Only because I had to check out for a second. So you found pictures of the woman that asked you to help with the computer? Of her and somebody outside of her marriage?
F
No, she's not married.
I
But the person that she. The person she's in the picture with is a friend of yours, and he is married.
F
Yeah. Let me backtrack. We all. We all run in the same circle, so we'll go out and we'll hang at different restaurants together, different bars together. And there's probably about nine or 10 of us in the group. You know, couples. I'm single, a few other singles. But when we're hanging out, these two, they act like water and oil. They hate each other, you know, so they're, like, constantly breaking with each other. The other thing. Which is why I think the photos are planted. He has a very famous brother, so he has a lot of money, and she is into money.
G
Okay,
E
so it's somebody within the group, and they're putting the face on that they don't like each other, but they're really sleeping with each other. And once again, you said that he. The dude in the pictures, is married.
F
Yes.
E
Okay, so that makes it uncomfortable for you.
D
Wanted you to see it, probably.
F
That's what I'm thinking.
D
Well, what would her motivation be for you finding out so that you would be the one to break the news and break up his marriage?
F
That's what I'm thinking.
D
I can see that.
E
Women are crafty like this. Dudes can never. This is a complicated manipulation. We've got one gear. Yeah, women are, like, playing chess all the time, right? Guys play checkers. Women play chess. That's the name of my new book.
I
You got to tweet that, dude. That's brilliant.
J
Yes.
E
404-741. Q100. So she's sort of using you as the pawn here, really, then to get to this dude? Well, even so, I mean, let's put that. Let's put the question of was it planted or not on the side. So you, as a friend, now need. Now you're uncomfortable in the group around these people, period.
F
Right.
D
Now, do you think that those pictures were recent enough to lead you to believe they're still sleeping together or that they were a long time ago?
F
I'm thinking they were pretty recent, mainly because it was only a few weeks ago that I fixed the computer the first time, and nothing was on it. And aside from the photos being added, you know, to the computer, there was nothing wrong with it.
H
Oh, so there was nothing to fix. Well, then that's a pretty good interview.
G
I get it.
E
All right, so with all that information, then, what do you do? Let's. So are we gonna go ahead and Assume that the pictures were planted now. And is our question.
D
She wants you to know.
E
So is our question for the Birch show community. What should you do now, sort of knowing that she planted those for you to see to? Do you go ahead and execute her plan, or do you play stupid? Is that the question?
F
Yeah, that's where I'm at right now, deciding, you know, whether. Because my boy is foul in the first place for going outside his marriage, and, you know, I want to step to him and tell him about it, but then I can't because that serves her purpose.
H
Well, I think he needs to know because, I mean, obviously there's pictures floating around, so I think you need to talk to him about it.
E
That's a tight spot.
K
But I think.
G
I think her plan is flawed because if you tell him about it, then he's gonna, you know, end it with her. He's not gonna end it with his wife, right?
F
I don't know.
E
There's no way, knowing.
H
Can it really end it? Because then she's gonna take revenge out on him because she's got the pictures as proof.
E
Jen, let me ask you what you would do in this case, because, I mean, you used to run with a very big, tight group. I mean, this is almost. We can almost apply this to that group. And even now you do. So what would you do if this was one of your.
D
Well, I think if. Cause we've talked about this scenario on the show in so many different ways, and I think if you have proof, which he does, you can do something with it. I think if you don't have proof, then you can't, because then it's just talk and speculation and everything else.
E
So the proof is damaging.
D
So I think you also have to consider how much you want to get involved. I don't know. I think you always have to consider. How much do you want to get involved? How much do you want to be in the middle of all this? Because you never know where the chips are going to fall, you know, so this guy, you know, breaks it off with the girl, she gets fiery mad and somehow drags you involved into the drama of it. He knew the potential of, you know, or the potential of, you know, her. Her. Her being upset that this guy's not going to leave his wife and then blaming you. I don't know. There's just. There's a lot of ways that they can drag you into it and being involved. But I think it may be too far for him. He's already seen the pictures. She knows he's Seen the pictures. I think at this point, with the proof that he's gotten, I would forward them along to the married person.
E
All right, here is Heather showing up.
I
Which married person? The one who doesn't know or the guy?
D
The guy.
E
The guy. Heather, good morning. You are on Q100. Hi.
L
Hi. I love you guys. I listen to you every morning. I just wanted to tell the caller that I think that he needs to confront the girl about the situation. I don't think that he needs to go to the guy about it because it's really not his place. Even though he is a friend of the person. I just really think that he needs to confront the female about it because, you know, it's. It's a fine line. That's a fine line to, you know, just ruin somebody's marriage over pictures. Even though he does have proof about the situation, it just seems like to me that he needs to really confront the girl and ask her, why were these there for me? That's not my place.
K
That's your place.
L
If you want to destroy his marriage. I don't want to get into it.
K
That's your problem.
E
Some are calling.
F
Is this.
E
Is this a possibility, Mark, that she's also attracted to you and this is her way of saying that she's open to it. She's open to it.
I
But Mark's single.
E
You're single guy.
F
Yeah, I'm single guy. And yeah, we. Me and her, we have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever.
E
Well, yeah, but she's playing that game with your friend also.
F
Yeah, but I don't. Well, one, I don't make the money that she's looking for in a guy. She used to. She used to date a real estate guy who about. Probably about a year ago when. When he started losing money and had to sell his nice car and everything.
G
Yeah, real estate agents aren't making much money right now.
E
Yeah, that was hot a couple years ago. You're not such a hot commodity. Right.
F
You know, but at that time, she. She left him because his money mind wasn't there, you know, so, you know, that's what she's into.
E
Okay, here's Monica. Good morning, Monica.
K
Hey, good morning. I love you guys show. And I think that you should definitely speak to your friend. The one who's married, took the pictures with the young lady. I don't. I think it's a bad idea to say something to the girl because simple fact that she put you in the predicament in the first place. She knew what she was doing. I mean, it's totally Obvious. Like you said, the first time you went over there, the pictures weren't there. There was nothing to fix. Second time, you go back, all of a sudden the pictures are on there. She knows what she's doing, right? Like Bert said, we mentioned, I mean, armchairs, but women play chess, so she knows what she's doing. She's putting you in a bad situation. However, your friend, he put himself in a mess of situation. So as a friend, I would still talk to my friend and be like, hey, look, dude, heads up, you know, you already know what you did or whatever. And I really don't feel like it's my place, but I've been put in the situation and I'd hate for you to have to hear it from her later on down the road that I knew about the pictures or your wife or whoever to find out and just clear yourself of the whole situation and let him know, you know, you might have a situation with this girl because she's pretty messy.
E
I'm trying to put on a cross section of advice, but most that's coming in is saying stay out of it or play stupid. Here is Tammy. Good Morning. You're on Q100.
K
Good morning, Bart. Love the show.
E
Thank you.
K
He should totally stay out of it. Play stupid. He didn't see it. Give her her computer back and just totally stay out of it because she's sitting him in a horrible situation with him. And my advice to him is to let it go.
G
Yeah. What's going to happen if he. I mean, the horrible situation he's in. I don't understand.
E
Well, it's just going to be uncomfortable all the way around either way. Hey, Cindy, good Morning. You're on Q100.
K
Oh, good morning. Yeah, I think he needs to stay out of it. I would ask the girl to look at her computer again. Delete the pictures, pretend you know nothing.
D
Just act like you never saw them.
I
Right.
E
I cleaned it up so well. I took all those pictures right off there.
I
I took the viruses right off there.
E
Hey, Jessica, good morning. You're on Q100.
K
Play dumb, act like you know nothing, you saw nothing. That's something I wouldn't want to get messed up in.
E
That's what Everybody's saying now. Az, good morning. You're on Q100.
J
Good morning.
E
Hi.
J
My opinion is I think that he should either keep his mouth shut, play dumb, act like he doesn't know, or if she gives any indication that she's getting ready to use that information, then I think he should only tell his married friend that what she's up to.
E
What's your theory on not saying anything at all? Because that's what most are saying, but I can't figure out why.
J
Well, because if he says nothing at all, then she can't use it against him. He can just act like he never saw it on there. Or like you said, he deleted it and never saw it. He can just play dumb and she can't use that information against him. Like, if she comes out and says, oh, well, he knew. You know, he knew about it too. He can't really do that if he just plays dumb.
E
It sure sounds like she's got a plan and she's using you. But I do think that there's some validity in some of these calls, that if you play dumb, she's gonna figure out another way to use somebody else to get her plan executed. I just wouldn't let it be you. You know what I'm saying?
G
You say so you're saying play dumb.
E
I'm saying play dumb.
H
Oh, I say tell.
E
You say tell.
H
Tell. Tell your friend, the guy friend. Don't tell her that. You know.
G
Yeah. If you're close to the guy friend. Yeah, I'd be. I'd play dumb to her, but to him. Look, just heads up, this what I saw on there. So it's none of my business, but there you go.
E
What do you do?
B
I don't.
D
At first I thought I would contact him, but now that you can play dumb like you never saw them, maybe that's better. And stay out of it.
I
Play dumb.
E
Jeff played dumb.
G
Play dumb.
E
All right, Mark, I think most calls coming in are saying, go ahead and play dumb. Let this thing play out without you in it.
F
Yeah, it'll be tough. And it just changes the dynamics of when we hang out.
E
Yeah, you're gonna have to put on an Academy Academy Award every time you're out with him again.
G
It's not fair to. You know, the sad thing is not fair to him either way because she put him in this situation. That's not fair. You know, it's not fair to bring a third party in to have to witness anything, you know, and deter and determine whether they should say something or not.
E
Hey, Mark, keep in touch with us and let us know how it all plans out in a couple of weeks. All right?
F
All right, will do.
E
All right, thanks for calling.
B
Bye.
E
Bye. You're on the Vert show.

The Bert Show – July 20, 2026
In this episode, a listener named Mark calls in using a voice disguiser to seek advice about a delicate situation. While assisting a female friend with her computer, Mark discovers explicit photos of her with one of his married friends, both of whom are part of his tight-knit social circle. Mark suspects the photos were intentionally left for him to find, possibly to manipulate him into exposing the affair. The Bert Show team and their callers dive into whether Mark should confront anyone or keep quiet, with the conversation exploring loyalty, manipulation, and the complexity of social dynamics.
Mark [02:16]: "No, a lot more than kissing."
Host [03:27]: "So it's somebody within the group, and they're putting the face on that they don't like each other, but they're really sleeping with each other."
Host [03:59]: "Women are crafty like this. Dudes can never—this is a complicated manipulation. We've got one gear. Yeah, women are, like, playing chess all the time. Right? Guys play checkers. Women play chess."
Mark [05:28]: "My boy is foul in the first place for going outside his marriage. I want to step to him and tell him about it, but I can't because that serves her purpose."
Jessica (Caller) [11:31]: "Play dumb, act like you know nothing, you saw nothing. That's something I wouldn't want to get messed up in."
Host [12:18]: "It sure sounds like she's got a plan and she's using you. But...if you play dumb, she's gonna figure out another way to use somebody else to get her plan executed. I just wouldn't let it be you."
Host [13:16]: "Yeah, you're gonna have to put on an Academy Award every time you're out with him again."
Host [13:20]: "It's not fair...it's not fair to bring a third party in to have to witness anything and determine whether they should say something or not."
On Manipulation and Gender:
"Guys play checkers. Women play chess. That's the name of my new book."
— Host [03:59]
On Friendship and Infidelity:
"My boy is foul in the first place for going outside his marriage... I want to step to him... but then I can't because that serves her purpose."
— Mark [05:28]
On Staying Out of It:
"Play dumb, act like you know nothing, you saw nothing. That's something I wouldn't want to get messed up in."
— Jessica (Caller) [11:31]
On Social Group Dynamics:
"Yeah, you're gonna have to put on an Academy Award every time you're out with him again."
— Host [13:16]
The tone is authentic, conversational, and sometimes playful, balancing the serious nature of the topic with signature Bert Show humor and relatability. The hosts and callers are candid but empathetic, creating a supportive atmosphere for tricky real-life dilemmas.
This episode pivots around the classic “do I get involved or mind my business?” dilemma, set against the backdrop of group friendship and possible manipulation. While initial reactions vary between confronting the key players and staying out of it, the prevailing wisdom from the Bert Show community is to remain uninvolved, act oblivious to what was found, and avoid being used to further someone else’s agenda.
