Co-host 2
What's the pit bull?
Co-host 1
He's very passionate.
Bert Weiss
You want to pick him up?
Co-host 1
No.
Bert Weiss
Come on, dude.
Co-host 1
Given the reason he's calling, I'm not gonna pick up the call and tell him you're not available.
Bert Weiss
Will you guys bear with us for one second?
Co-host 2
What?
Bert Weiss
Jimmy Baron has been trying to get in touch with me for two days now. For two days now. Hello, Jimmy Baron.
Co-host 3
I'm sorry, Mr. Weiss. This is his personal assistant.
Bert Weiss
Now, none of us are gonn.
Jimmy Baron
My personal assistant is a Boston terrier in Sandy Springs.
Bert Weiss
Jimmy, you're like a pit bull, man. What has happened to you, dude?
Jimmy Baron
Burt show. The question is, what has happened to you?
Co-host 3
I mean, did you break up with my Jimmy Bert?
Bert Weiss
No, of course not.
Jimmy Baron
No. He would have his assistant do that.
Bert Weiss
Yes, I would do that. If I was gonna do that, it would be even. She's too busy for that. I'd do that in a text message.
Jimmy Baron
So I get a call the other day, and it's a nice girl, and I don't. I forgot her name. You forgive me. Hi, Mr. Baron, this is. And I'm Mr. Burt Weiss, assistant. And I won't say what she was asking for.
Bert Weiss
Okay.
Jimmy Baron
Because of a personal matter. But she said, like, Mr. Burt, Mr. Weiss would like. And I said, I didn't have that information. So I, you know, I'll call you back. And then I hung up. I'm like, I've known Bert for 17 years. Have we not known each other for that long?
Bert Weiss
Yeah, I mean, through conventions and then working in Atlanta together. Yeah, it's probably been that long, man.
Jimmy Baron
Yeah. We came.
Co-host 3
Daddy's heartbroken.
Jimmy Baron
Yeah, we like grew up in this business together.
Bert Weiss
Right.
Jimmy Baron
And he's got his assistant calling me. You gotta be kidding me. Well, it was.
Bert Weiss
I mean if it was a deep conversation that I was gonna have, then I would have called you. I mean, if it was a personal like friend to friend conversation. But it was like, it's a quick number. Jimmy has it. Just give him a call. And Jimmy. And I gotta tell you something. There's no such thing as a quick call with you. And I know this because we have been friends for 17 years, that if you and I get on the phone together, it's gonna start around now and we'll probably be done around 8:30.
Jimmy Baron
Okay, Bert, guilty as charged. Send me an email. Send me a text. It's a great way of getting out of having to talk to me personally, yet still accomplishing the same goal.
Bert Weiss
I will have assistant send you an email apologizing today.
Co-host 3
Thank you. Something, I mean, I got.
McDonald's Advertiser
I was.
Co-host 3
I can't take anymore.
Jimmy Baron
And then it's.
Co-host 1
He didn't want to send you an email because he was sitting at the dinner table with Barnes and that would have been rude.
Bert Weiss
I apologize if you were offended. I will call you one on one next time.
Jimmy Baron
Not even an email.
Co-host 1
Maybe you guys will bump into each other at temple.
Jimmy Baron
That's not likely.
Bert Weiss
We go at different times. Jimmy goes.
Co-host 2
There's a temple at Buckhead Church.
Jimmy Baron
I'm just glad that, you know, my listeners know that I've been obsessing over this. I mean, I've canceled big guests just so I could obsess over this.
Co-host 1
I know. They both called us.
Bert Weiss
Yeah, you can hear them on our replay tomorrow morning if you like those guests.
Jimmy Baron
Okay.
Co-host 3
Anyway.
Jimmy Baron
All right, well, you know, I'm glad we got this out, okay?
Bert Weiss
And we're still friends. Everything's good. And when there's really something important, I promise I will call Bert.
Co-host 3
If you ever have another birthday party for your kids, please invite him.
Bert Weiss
Was he heard about that.
Jimmy Baron
There we go. Okay, have a good show.
Spinquest Advertiser
Bye.
Co-host 2
Here's where they go talk about you behind your back.
Jimmy Baron
No, no, no, we already did. I was hurt that I wasn't invited to Hollis's one year birthday party a year ago where you had 100 people. But don't worry about it. We gotta go.
Bert Weiss
Okay, see ya. Okay, see ya. I'll have Aaron call you and you guys can talk it out. He's been trying to get that call for two days now.
Co-host 2
Wow. Well, he had to get that out. It was really rubbing him the wrong way.
Bert Weiss
It was bothering him. And it also. It bothers me that our voices sound so similar. It was almost like having a conversation with myself.
Co-host 1
You think you guys sound alike?
Co-host 2
I don't think you guys sound alike.
Co-host 1
Not at all. Not very close.
Bert Weiss
No, really.
Co-host 1
He sounds much more professional on radio like than you.
Co-host 2
He sounds like a real dj.
Co-host 1
Yeah, he sounds like a radio guy.
