One crunchy bite of a Hershey's cookies and cream bar, and I'm taken right back to college. Move in Day, I was a little overwhelmed by the newness of it all. Boxes were everywhere. I needed a break from unpacking. But just as I was able to take a breath and open my Hershey's cookies and cream bar, my new roommate Rachel walked in. I offered her a piece, but she said no. Then after a beat, she said, actually, those are my favorite ones. We left. The ice was broken, and we've been friends ever since.
Host 1
Hershey's. It's your happy place here.
Host 2
Bird show.
Main Host
We have told you guys, go ahead, use our show. Could be for a million different things. What do you want? What do you want to use our show for? It could be to propose to somebody. It could tell us about a brand new company that you're starting a small business.
Co-host 1
I think before we've had somebody thanked somebody for doing something good, they didn't know who they were, but they came on the show, described the situation and thanked somebody for something, for a good deed.
Main Host
Anything that you want. Just. Just use our show. So Whitney here has herself a super talent and she would like to use our show to show it off. Hey, Whitney.
Host 1
She's gonna prove it.
Whitney
Hey, prove it.
Main Host
How are you?
Whitney
I'm great. How are you?
Main Host
Good. All right. What is your superpower?
Whitney
I can determine the sex of a baby before it's born.
Host 1
Okay. And how are you able to do this?
Whitney
I don't know. And that's why I want to test it, because I've done it for 11 people.
Listener 1
Oh, okay.
Host 1
That's good.
Whitney
10 out of the 11 I've been able to correctly. Yes. The only one that I haven't was a lady I've never met and only know of through my boss.
Main Host
Now, this one could be pretty marketable here. Like we could be your. We're your test group here. But if you really did have this gift, I mean, you're talking about. I'm serious here, like infomercials and appearances where you can make a lot of Cash doing something like this. This is just freaky enough where people would buy into it.
Host 1
Who was the lady that you guys believed? The psychic that wasn't a psychic.
Main Host
Ms. Cleo.
Host 1
Miss. You could be the next Ms. Cleo for babies.
Co-host 1
Oh, wait a second. Ms. Cleo had a talent, you know, in an accent. So she had the talent and she lied. But, I mean, you know, whatever.
Main Host
It's still too soon to joke about,
Co-host 1
so.
Host 1
I'm sorry, your name's Whitney?
Listener 2
Yes.
Host 1
Okay, Whitney, do you have. Does the woman have to be a certain number of weeks pregnant in order for you to make the prediction?
Whitney
No. One time I came back from maternity leave and a lady I worked with was right at three months pregnant. I said, you're gonna have a girl. And two months later, she's like, you're right. I'm having a girl.
Main Host
Is this one of those things that every woman thinks that she has this gift? No, no.
Host 1
Everybody likes to make predictions and likes to do, like the baby pool and the bets and the whatever and likes to think that they would get it right. But I don't think anybody truly believes
Co-host 1
it like Whitney does unless they've had children, and they do. The. The only thing I've ever heard about somebody talking about the gender is how they carry the baby. You know, like, oh, well, you're carrying it low.
Whitney
That still can't be right. I don't do it like that. I just. I get a weird feeling, and it just. Like, I blurt it out.
Main Host
Okay, so you don't even need to see mommy in front of you. You just get a gut feeling when you talk to them.
Whitney
Okay, I've done it over the phone before and been correct. And I've also done it through the father before.
Main Host
Through the father?
Host 1
The father?
Listener 2
Really? Yes.
Whitney
And so I've done it through the father twice. Like, I know the dad and their wife's pregnant, and I'm just like, so
Listener 2
you just had a baby boy, or,
Whitney
hey, I'm pretty sure you're having a girl. And I was right.
Main Host
Really? 10 out of 11 times?
Listener 2
Yeah.
Whitney
So I'm not sure if it's just a fluke, and I was just really good at guessing, but I really want to test it.
Host 1
Well, why don't you guess on Wendy? I'm kidding.
Listener 2
Oh, my God.
Main Host
Oh, my God.
Listener 1
My God, I'm pregnant.
Co-host 1
You know what? That's all some people heard. They've turned the channel and they're like, oh, my God, Wendy's pregnant.
Listener 1
No, I'm not pregnant.
Host 1
See, Wendy, any publicity is good.
Main Host
Publicity.
Listener 2
Just go with it.
Host 1
I'm just teasing.
Storyteller
I'm just teasing.
Co-host 1
My dad calls, right?
Main Host
Then it's bad publicity. So there's one of two ways we can go with this. We can have people call up that know what the sex of their baby is or what's the second way we can do it. Or we can. We can have you talk to people that don't know yet and then after they deliver. Yeah. They can get confirmation if you were right or wrong.
Host 1
Let's do that. I like option B.
Main Host
You like option B.
Co-host 1
But she doesn't get instant.
Main Host
And we're so bad at following up is. My only problem is that we say we'll follow up with these moms and then we'll just forget all of them,
Host 1
tell Tracy and it'll happen.
Listener 1
We can do it like 50, 50. Like three people that are don't know and three people that do know.
Main Host
There you go.
Listener 1
We have a compromise, of course.
Main Host
The pregnant girl comes up with the perfect idea on the pregnant bit. Of course. Wendy. Fun.
Co-host 1
This weekend I'll be at the bar drinking.
Listener 1
Aren't you pregnant?
Listener 2
No.
Main Host
All right, so we're looking for two different type of women here. We've got a couple that we'll find that know the sex of their baby even though it's not born yet. And then we need to find a couple of women to call up also that are pregnant but currently don't know if it's a boy or a girl. We'll have Whitney talk to you for a couple of seconds and she will tell you. She'll predict if you're gonna have a boy or a girl. And then we'll check back with you once you have the baby. All right. 404741. Q100.
Co-host 1
And you can do this over the phone?
Whitney
I do it more in person, but I have done it, so I really want to test it. And I can't be in studio because I live out in the burbs.
Main Host
Okay, here is Megan. Good morning.
Listener 2
Good morning.
Main Host
How are you today, Megan?
Listener 2
I'm good.
Main Host
Megan, do you know the sex of your child?
Whitney
No.
Listener 2
I'm finding out in three weeks.
Main Host
Okay, this is going to work out perfectly. Whitney, how does your whole method work?
Whitney
She's having a girl just like that.
Host 1
Oh.
Co-host 1
Cause she said that she just gets a vibe.
Host 1
It just comes to you.
Whitney
I told you. I just get a feeling from the voice. I mean, I don't know. It's weird.
Main Host
Just like that. How now, Megan, with other women that have been around you and they look at You. And you can tell if the baby is sitting higher or lower. Have they predicted that you'd have a boy or a girl?
Listener 2
I haven't. I've had most people say it's a girl, but my doctor thinks it's a boy.
Listener 1
Okay, what does he know?
Host 1
Have you had a dream about it yet?
Listener 2
I have not. I did have a dream with my first baby, and it was wrong. Okay, So I haven't had any dreams with this one yet.
Host 1
I've heard a lot of times that your dreams will predict what you're having, and most of the time, the dream is right.
Host 2
You guys are aware that this statistic is 50%? Like. It's not like you're predicting who's gonna win the World Series in 2014.
Main Host
However, what you missed, cuz you're out of the studio, is that she's hit 10 out of 11 times.
Host 2
Don't you remember when Jessica did this? She was like five out of six.
Host 1
We did that string thing.
Listener 1
Yeah, but she doesn't have to do a string thing. She doesn't have to look at the belly. She just has to hear the voice.
Host 2
That was what Jessica claimed, too. And I claim. Here's what I claim with Jessica, because when you find out, let's say Melissa came into today and said, I'm pregnant. What are you, three months long? When you make the announcement publicly.
Co-host 1
Mm.
Host 2
So Melissa says I'm pregnant. So Jessica's gonna. Jessica will see Melissa on Friday, right? And go, oh, my God, you're having a girl. And then that's out there. Then six months goes by before the baby appears, and it'll never really come up again.
Main Host
But now we have it documented right here.
Host 2
Right? And that this. But this. Right, this is why I think this is gonna not work as well as she thinks it is. And then what happens is when Melissa delivers her baby six months from now, you know, not only will it be the beginning of the end, because, well, no means yeah.
Co-host 1
Jesus back on her.
Host 2
Jesus back on Earth, but Melissa delivers a boy. Jessica's like, don't you remember I said boy?
Main Host
Well, now we have it documented. So, Whitney, you'll be able to see here if you really have this talent or not.
Whitney
And that's all I really want to do.
Main Host
Okay, Megan, let me put you on hold. Don't go anywhere. We got to get your phone number, and we got to talk to you in three and a half weeks, okay?
Whitney
Okay.
Main Host
All right. Hold on. And that's when Megan will find out. Good morning, Rosanna. You are on Q100 hello.
Whitney
Hi.
Listener 2
Good morning.
Co-host 1
Good morning.
Main Host
How are you today?
Listener 2
I'm doing well.
Whitney
And yourself?
Main Host
Good. Now, Rosanna, do you know the gender of your child? Or you still have yet to find out?
Whitney
I know you know. All right, Whitney, I need to hear talk a little bit clearer.
Main Host
Tell us a little bit about your pregnancy.
Listener 2
It's been pretty good. It was no really bad morning sickness right now.
Whitney
I'm just.
Co-host 1
She said boy.
Whitney
Boy, did you say.
Host 2
Did you say boy?
Co-host 1
Whitney said boy.
Whitney
I said boy. Backup's a girl.
Host 2
Wait, what?
Whitney
I think it's a girl. I mean, I think it's a boy. Sorry.
Main Host
Boy. Rosanna, is it a boy?
Listener 2
No, it's a girl.
Main Host
Okay, thank you.
Host 1
Strike one.
Main Host
All right.
Host 2
Swing and a miss.
Co-host 1
You said that with passion, Jeff.
Main Host
Chef loves.
Co-host 1
He says a lot of phlegm.
Host 2
Yeah, I'm starting to.
Main Host
Chef loves to be.
Host 2
Starting to wake up. That NyQuil's wearing off. Got a lot of words. I have to get in. I gotta make up for 45 minutes worth of words.
Main Host
Good morning, Beth, you're on Q100.
Whitney
Good morning.
Main Host
How are you today?
Whitney
I'm doing well. Aren't you?
Main Host
All right. What you got for us?
Whitney
My daughter is pregnant.
Listener 2
Has she ever guessed the sex of a grandchild?
Whitney
Yes, I have, and that's where I was wrong.
Main Host
Okay, so you don't want to give that a try here again?
Whitney
Boy.
Listener 2
No, I'm sorry. It's a girl.
Co-host 1
Oh, no.
Host 2
Strike him.
Whitney
I can't do that.
Co-host 1
Okay, okay.
Host 2
About to go down swinging.
Host 1
Well, it's not really, because she already said she didn't like the prediction of the grandparent.
Whitney
We're.
Main Host
Strike that one from the record. Hey, Heather.
Listener 2
Good morning.
Main Host
Good morning. How are you today?
Listener 2
Good. How are you?
Main Host
All right. So you know the sex of your baby?
Listener 2
Yes, I do.
Main Host
Tell us a little bit about your pregnancy.
Listener 2
Morning sickness. Horrible, Horrible morning sickness. Just really bad.
Host 1
How far along are you?
Whitney
30 weeks.
Main Host
Whitney.
Whitney
Boy. She's right.
Main Host
Right?
Host 2
Oh, my God. It's amazing.
Whitney
He's right.
Listener 2
I'm having a boy.
Main Host
Jeff never feels better when he's making somebody not feel special.
Whitney
5050 right now. Just.
Host 2
Yeah, which is exactly what it should be.
Main Host
We're gonna go through a couple more.
Listener 1
She's got one right, one wrong.
Main Host
What is your problem?
Host 2
Just listen. Just hearing her out.
Co-host 1
He's mad because she's trying to take Jessica's. You know Jessica.
Host 2
I never maintained Jessica had it.
Main Host
Hey, Samantha. Good morning, Samantha. Never mind.
Host 2
That was actually the sonogram you were listening to. There's the baby.
Whitney
Moving on.
Main Host
Based on the sonogram. Is that a boy or a girl? Wendy, good morning. You're on Q100.
Listener 2
Good morning.
Listener 1
Good morning.
Main Host
Hello.
Listener 2
I just found out last week that I'm pregnant. And so I'm not sure if she's going to be able to tell yet, but I was wondering if Whitney could tell me what I'm gonna be having.
Main Host
Okay. So this is one we'll have to check back on here in a couple of weeks.
Listener 2
Well, yeah, actually, quite a few weeks. Barely.
Whitney
What'd you say?
Listener 2
What was that?
Main Host
I can't tell who's talking, Wendy or Whitney?
Listener 2
I'm sorry. I'll stop now. Tell me.
Whitney
Whitney. Okay, so you're what, 11 weeks?
Listener 2
No, I'm probably four weeks.
Whitney
Oh, my God. You found out real early.
Listener 2
Yeah.
Whitney
Wow. You normally don't find out until.
Listener 1
Well, she doesn't know yet.
Main Host
She doesn't know the sex of the baby?
Listener 2
She just don't know the sex? No, no, no. I just found out about the baby.
Whitney
You're pregnant? Unless you're trying, you normally don't find out for at least two months.
Listener 2
Well, we had gone off the pill, and then I missed my period and so I took the test. But I'm going to the doctor next week, so. And that'll be my first visit.
Main Host
So what was it? Whitney?
Whitney
Girl.
Main Host
Girl.
Co-host 1
Okay.
Listener 2
Yay. Thank you.
Main Host
I wouldn't start buying pink just yet.
Listener 2
All right, thanks. Bye.
Main Host
I know. Wendy, don't go anywhere yet. We're going to get your phone number, okay? Or not.
Listener 1
Oh, no, she just.
Host 2
Now she's going to go so excited. She thinks this girl is gifted. It is now going to go. And if it's a boy, she's actually going to be depressed in the doctor's office right now.
Whitney
It makes her head up.
Listener 2
Let her be happy.
Main Host
She's gonna SUE Us like DeMille. Good morning. Is it Megan?
Whitney
Yes.
Main Host
Hi. How are you?
Listener 2
I'm good. I'm due any day. I'm due on Saturday.
Main Host
You're due on Saturday and you do not know the sex of your baby?
Whitney
Correct.
Listener 1
Whoa.
Whitney
Oh, it's a surprise.
Listener 2
It's a surprise.
Whitney
Yeah, boy. Boy.
Listener 2
That's what a lot of people have been saying.
Main Host
Okay, then we will talk to you on Monday. Okay.
Host 2
You sound like somebody who's been pregnant for 10 months.
Listener 2
Yeah, I feel like the baby's not gonna come out until three to go to college.
Main Host
Poor thing. Megan, let me put you on hold. We'll get your phone number and we'll call you on Monday, okay?
Whitney
Okay.
Main Host
Let's just take A couple more here real quick. Wendy, good morning.
Listener 2
Good morning.
Main Host
How are you?
Listener 2
I'm well. I am five weeks pregnant.
Host 2
Whitney.
Main Host
Wendy is five weeks pregnant.
Whitney
Listener Wendy is your mother, Wendy, that's pregnant?
Main Host
Yes.
Whitney
Yeah. So there's three of them, right? Super.
Co-host 1
No, just two. Wendy here in the studio's not pregnant.
Listener 2
I'm not pregnant yet.
Host 1
But she can still predict what you're gonna have.
Main Host
What do you have for listener, Wendy?
Whitney
I don't know. I have to hear her a little bit more.
Main Host
Okay, Wendy, tell us a little bit about your pregnancy.
Listener 2
All right, well, I just found out, I guess a week ago, and I.
Whitney
I'm waiting to find out.
Host 1
Are you feeling well?
Listener 2
Yes, I'm feeling great. But I had no sickness with my first pregnancy either.
Co-host 1
So many women are mad at you.
Whitney
I had none my first time and my second time I was sick as a dog. Whitney. Ah, I'm gonna say boy, boy, boy.
Listener 2
Oh, my husband will love you.
Whitney
If you're correct.
Main Host
You don't sound very confident in that one, though, Whitney. Well, you don't sound very confident in that one.
Whitney
So you see that when it's in person. And I told Tracy I could come in studio in December and do this. I have no time off until December.
Host 2
You're that confident that you're willing to take. Use your time off to come in here?
Whitney
Yeah.
Main Host
Okay, I'll take you. First of all, I want to. I want to check back in with everybody in a couple of weeks, but then we'll have you come back in in December, because now you just sound surly about things.
Whitney
I have December 7th and December 8th off.
Main Host
Okay, well, we will get you in here. Either December 7th or December 8th. It's gonna happen.
Host 2
December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day. D Day. One of those. I think there's no better way to celebrate December 11th. Oh, sorry.
Main Host
Let's get you back in here in December then. Okay.
Whitney
Okey dokey.
Main Host
Okay, hold on.
Host 1
She officially hates you.
Main Host
She actually got mad, I think. Yeah, she actually got mad.
Host 2
Why are you doubting my 5050 predictability test?
Main Host
But if she does, if she can hit 10 of 11, it's impressive, then the odds would be, I mean, obviously greater than 50 50.
Host 2
But I maintain it is the. And the reason that I was giving her a hard time and the reason I gave Jessica a hard time is. Cause I maintain it's like doing a two month long coin flip deal with Burt. Like we flip the coin now, I call it, but we don't look at it for two months. And then Burt goes, oh, it's tails. You said it. I go.
Main Host
No, it's a tails. But here, it's all documented, so you can't do that.
Host 2
And December 7th is when it all
Listener 1
comes to head, not D day.
Main Host
Well, one, we'll be able to check back with on Monday and find out if she was right, at least over the phone. And then we'll bring her back in December, because now she sounds like she wants the challenge. Or she just doesn't want to listen to us ever, ever again.
Host 2
The Burt Show.

Whether it’s supernatural talent or statistical luck, The Bert Show audience is left with a cliffhanger and the promise of more laughs to come.
