The first show I just want to do a quick check here. I don't want to get into major debate about it or anything if this is even possible because Michael Vick is so polarizing. But if you can call up right now and you are capable of just saying boo or applaud and then hang up, that's all I want to know. Because when he comes out on Sunday I'm wondering if he is going to be greeted by a whole bunch of boos or there's going to be a whole bunch of people there that give him a standing ovation. 4047 what I do know is that he's so polarizing and people feel so strongly about him that there's almost going to be a crowd noise competition going on because boos are going to want to drown out applause and applause is going to want to drown out boos. So if you're going to the game, what do you plan on doing when he comes onto the field for the first time? 404 741Q100 I thought it was going
Co-host 1
to be more cheers than boos until last week was. Or maybe earlier this week when he came out and he said that Atlanta was still his town and that those people would stand up and give him a standing ovation. Like his cocky comment, I think is gonna make more people against him than would have been before that. Because I've gone to a couple Falcons games this year. Vic Jersey's everywhere. I think it would have been a majority support, but after that statement, now I feel like it'll be split down the middle.
Radio Host
I will rarely stick up for Michael Vick, but I will tell you this. That quote comes from the Associated Press, and it was a very cocky quote. So it did happen. But I also went online yesterday and read the ajc, and in the last couple of weeks, when asked about coming to Atlanta, Michael Vick has been very humble about it. You can find way more articles about him being humble about coming back to Atlanta than you can. That one quote. I was kind of pissed when I actually read that yesterday because. Because he's been portrayed. Everybody's using that one quote associated with Michael coming back. When the truth is there are 20 quotes that he said that have a totally different texture to it.
Co-host 1
That makes sense.
Co-host 2
What would everybody in the room do?
Co-host 3
Oh, I'm not going to do anything. I'm not going to go yay or nay. Either way. I think it's bad either way. Whatever you do.
Co-host 1
Yeah, I wouldn't waste my energy. But if I did it, boo, you would do.
Co-host 2
That's what I would do. I'd sit there silent because it's. I'm certainly not going to applaud him, but he committed a crime. He did. This time. He's back in the career. People are going to argue, oh, he doesn't deserve whatever, blah. But you know what? The way the system works, his debt has been paid according to the law. I'm not a fan of his, but it's also.
Co-host 1
But see, we're only asking people, boo or yay.
Co-host 3
Well, if you go boo or yay in the stadium, he's getting a reaction out of you anyway, so he's getting the attention. So if you just stand there Numb. He's not going to know what to do.
Radio Host
Cindy.
Caller
Yes. I'm going to applaud. He did his time. He paid his penance.
Co-host 2
Just say boo or applaud.
Radio Host
I don't think people are capable of it, Man. They're so passionate about it. Rachel.
Caller
Applaud.
Radio Host
Add a girl.
Co-host 3
Look at. Look.
Co-host 1
And you're. You're waiting. You're waiting to see if she could break it.
Radio Host
I didn't think she could do it.
Co-host 1
She did it.
Radio Host
Are you keeping score here, Wendy?
Co-host 3
I am.
Radio Host
What do we have?
Co-host 3
Two applauds.
Radio Host
Good morning, Liz.
Caller
Triple boo.
Co-host 2
That's awesome.
Co-host 1
Now I'm confused.
Co-host 3
Now I'm confused.
Co-host 2

Radio Host

Radio Host
Boo. Erica, good Morning. You're on Q100.
Caller
Applaud.
Co-host 1
Okay.
Radio Host
Stephen.
Caller
I know him. I applaud.
Radio Host
Don't want to know if you know him. Just applaud her boo.
Co-host 2
Applaud her boo. Bragger.
Co-host 3
Name dropper.
Radio Host
Chrissy, Good morning.
Caller
Applaud.
Co-host 2
Thanks for your call. I'm friends with Wyclef. He tweeted me.
Radio Host
I'm a Wyclef Warrior. That's official.
Co-host 2
Dude, you were right, man. Nobody wants to welcome you to the Warrior Nation or whatever.
Radio Host
Official. Good morning, Todd.
Caller
He plays for the Eagles, so you've got to boo him.
Radio Host
Just applaud her. Boo.
Co-host 1
People getting. That was just a boo. We could do it in here.
Caller
Monique, Applaud
Radio Host

Applaud her boo.
Caller
Boo.
Radio Host
Gene Yellow.
Co-host 2
Applaud her boo.
Radio Host
I think she's saying she's gonna sit there silently.
Co-host 1
She said, okay.
Co-host 2
You my boo.
Radio Host
Ben, Good morning.
Caller
It's a big boo.
Co-host 1
It counts as one.
Co-host 2
Just one boo.
Co-host 3
I'm marking that one down as more.
Radio Host
Sue.
Caller
Yay.
Co-host 1
Okay.
Co-host 2
Huh?
Co-host 1
She went with yay instead of applaud.
Radio Host
Very easy game. Applaud or boo. There's no big.
Co-host 2
There we go.
Radio Host
He got it.
Caller
He got it. Applaud.
Co-host 1
Okay.
Radio Host
Thanks, bro.
Co-host 1
It's too simple.
Co-host 2
I know. I'm having more fun with people who can't get it. Applaud or boo.
Co-host 1
And you can hear their voice. Like I'm a rule.
Co-host 2
You know what? I'm a rule breaker and I'm taking a bird trip down with me.
Co-host 1
Don't tell me what to do.
Caller
Daniel Infinity. Applaud.
Co-host 1
There is none.
Co-host 3
I'm taking Away. A point for every time.
Radio Host
Hey, good morning, Q100.
Caller
Boo.
Co-host 2
Thank you.
Radio Host
A plus. Good morning. Q100.
Caller
Applause.
Co-host 2
Hey, wait a minute. Don't hang up. Are you okay? I think she was walking in a
SpinQuest Advertiser
field and fell down a well.
Radio Host
Good morning. Q100.
Caller
Cheer the ass off.
Co-host 1
What?
Radio Host
What was that? No, Claude.
Co-host 1
Yeah, he's gonna cheer his ass off.
Radio Host
I think that's what he said. Is that what he said?
Co-host 1
Yeah, he said he was gonna cheer, so that means applaud.
Co-host 2
I think there's a cuss word in the front.
Co-host 1
Applaud. Boo. That's it.
Radio Host
It's very simple.
Co-host 1
Okay.
Radio Host
Q100. Good morning, boo.
Co-host 1
All right. It's a passionate one, but it was singular.
Co-host 2
Now they're wanting us to count seconds. Applause,
Co-host 1
Applaud OR Boo.
Radio Host
Morning, Q100. Yellow.
Co-host 1
I'm gonna go with boo. I love how people just want to be unique.
Radio Host
They want their own identity, my individuality.
Co-host 1
Yes.
Radio Host
Good morning, Q100.
Caller
Hi, boo.
Co-host 2
Thank you.
Radio Host
Good morning, Q100.
Co-host 2
You for your boo.
Caller
Applaud. Love to go.
Radio Host
Thank you.
Co-host 1
Thanks.
Radio Host
That's acceptable. And good morning, Q100.
Caller
Applaud.
Radio Host
Applaud. All right, so what's our tally there? If we're taking a sample size here,
Co-host 3
there's 13 applause and 10 boos.
Radio Host
It's gonna be pretty split today.
Co-host 2
I mean, and one. Yippee.
Radio Host
But you had one infinity in there, so it's not even gonna be close. I think, and I do think that people are gonna be extremely vocal as soon as he comes into the game.
Co-host 1
See, I think that we were taking a sample of the audience. I think if you took a sample of Falcons fans, it would be more applaud than it would be audience, cuz. Mm, I don't know.
Radio Host
I don't know either.
Co-host 1
I think it's gonna be more applaud at the stadium. That's my prediction.
Co-host 2
Are you able to answer a question just yes or no?
Radio Host
Yes, I think so. See, I couldn't do it.
Co-host 1
I couldn't do it.
Co-host 2
All right. Do you still fantasize about Melissa naked every day after the show?
Radio Host
Yes. Perfect.
Co-host 2
Good job.

Theme:
In this episode, The Bert Show team delves into the polarizing reception of former NFL quarterback Michael Vick as he returns to Atlanta. The cast discusses whether fans plan to boo or applaud Vick at his upcoming appearance, reflecting on his legacy, past criminal conviction, and patterns of forgiveness or lingering resentment in the public. The show engages listeners with a simple, direct poll: “Would you boo or applaud Michael Vick?” allowing their passionate, unfiltered responses to paint a vivid picture of divided fan sentiment.
On Vick’s polarizing reputation:
On media coverage vs actual sentiment:
On public forgiveness:
On the ‘rules’ of the poll:
On crowd identity at the actual game:
Warmly comedic and unscripted, the episode bounces between sincere controversy, playful ribbing, and chaotic energy as the cast and listeners debate—sometimes unwillingly—whether one of Atlanta’s most controversial athletes deserves condemnation, forgiveness, or something in between. Callers’ strong emotions and the cast’s irreverence make for an engaging, unfiltered reflection of the community’s divided stance.
The Bert Show’s episode captures the real-time pulse of Atlanta’s mixed feelings about Michael Vick: justice, loyalty, resentment, and redemption all jostle for space in a crowd, with neither applause nor boos completely dominating. The poll is evenly split, proving Vick’s legacy remains as complicated—and as compelling—as ever.
