Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for wicked. Today's Bible verse Job 28, 23, 24 says, God alone understands the way to wisdom. He knows where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens. Most of today's passage is Job responding to his friends. He reminds his friends that good things can happen to wicked people and that bad things can happen to righteous people. Do you know something that's still true today? Just because someone has lots of money and blessings, that doesn't mean they're living righteously. And if someone is poor or in the middle of hard times, that doesn't mean that they're living wickedly. When Job talks about the great power of God, he prophesies again. Listen to what he says in chapter 26, verse 12. By his power, the sea grew calm. Does that sound familiar? Like something that might happen a lot of years later on a boat in the sea in the middle of the storm? Well, if you've already heard the story, you know that God the Son Jesus will do that one day. His power will make the stormy sea grow calm. Even when Job's friends insist that he's done something wrong, Job knows his own heart. And he knows the heart of God. Even though he doesn't have answers for what's happening to him, he knows that God isn't punishing him. He's confused and angry and sad about all that has happened to him. But he still trusts God. Job is wise because God gave him wisdom. Today, by God, God is wise, and he is where all wisdom comes from. He gave you his word to learn more about Him. And as you learn more about him, you'll grow in wisdom, too. He's where the wisdom is, and he's where the joy is. Parents, grandparents, teachers, coaches, anyone out there trying to help the kids, you know, engage with the Bible.
