Hey Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids.

Today's Bible verse 1 Chronicles chapter 15, verse 28 says Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord's covenant with shouts of joy, the blowing of rams horns and trumpets, the crashing of cymbals and loud playing on harps and lyres. David is busy making plans to move

the Ark of the Covenant to its

new home in Jerusalem. He's so busy in fact, that he doesn't ask God for instructions on how to move the ark. God made instructions for moving the ark very clear. Only Levites can move it and it has to be carried on poles. But David decides to move the ark on a cart. The people gather for a parade to celebrate the Ark's arrival in Jerusalem. But during the parade, the cows attached to the cart stumble and Uzziah, David's nephew, touches the ark. What happens next is exactly what God warned them about. The man who touches the ark dies. David is angry and probably embarrassed because this is his first big big event as Israel's king. And after some time, David tries again. This time he follows God's instructions. The Levites bring the Ark into the city and everyone is thrilled. Except for Michal, David's first wife. But as you'll learn in a few days, Michal is not happy with a lot of what David does today. Baja God makes His ways known to his kids. Almost every opportunity for obedience has been made clear to us through His Word. And for everything else, he gives us his spirit to guide us and to help us through Bible reading, prayer and advice from trusted teachers. We will never be left to figure out what God wants on our own. He shares his his ways with us.
