Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse Psalm 65:4 says what joy for those you choose to bring near. Our psalms today begin with a lot of praise. David knows he can't fix sin by himself, and he praises God for atoning or paying a price for his sin. As David sees the abundance of the year's harvest, he also praises God for creating and taking care of everything. David praises God even for the trials that he's endured. We also learn about God's attentiveness to all things and all people. He's everywhere, so he hears every prayer, every even the selfish ones. Remember that he doesn't have to answer yes to any of us and will only answer yes when it's something that fits in his perfect plan. The Author of Psalm 67 knows that God is big enough to save more than Israel. He prays that God will save other nations, even nations that are Israel's enemies. God chooses and brings people near. If you know God, it's because he chose you and he brought you to himself. He came down from heaven and he picked you to be adopted into his family. And if that's you, do you realize how beautifully blessed you are? It is the greatest gift of our lives. He's where the joy is.
