Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse. In Psalm, chapter 40, verse 8, David prays. I take joy in doing your will, my God, for your instructions are written on my heart. David talks to God about his sin and knows that his righteousness comes from God. David has learned to be patient and wait for the Lord even when everything around him seems to go wrong. In David's lifetime, Saul tried to kill him. He sinned greatly against Bathsheba and her family, and his son tried to take his place as king. But David thanked and praised God throughout his life. And God continued to bless David throughout the Psalms. David teaches us how to pray. He goes to God with his heartbreak and with his fear and his anger. And he asks God for forgiveness, safety, and justice. Today's my job. God wants us to live his way. Not because he wants us to follow a bunch of rules or miss out on anything fun, but because his way is the best way. When we remember who he is and what he's done for us, we want to live the way he tells us to. He made us. He knows us. And of course he knows what's best for us. He's where the joy is. Do you know what an ambassador is? It's somebody who speaks on behalf of somebody else. And we need you to be our TBR ambassadors. You probably have lots of friends who have never read the Bible or who might have a hard time understanding it. Our mission is to help you not only read the Bible and not only understand the Bible, but to love the Bible. So help us spread the word. Invite your friends and family to join us as we read, understand, and love God's word. It.
