Hey Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verb Psalm 97:11 says light shines on the godly and joy on those whose hearts are right. Today's psalms remind us of some beautiful truths about God. God isn't just the creator. He's the ruler over all his creation. He can show up like a thunderstorm and melt mountains like wax. But God doesn't only rule over all creation. He's also attentive to us and cares for us. We are the people. He watches over the flock under his care. And God doesn't only care for us. He's had a plan all along to make us his. In Psalm 98, the writer probably thought of God's salvation as safety from enemies in battle. But God knew all along that he had a plan to save us from bigger things than just earthly enemies. He always had a plan to send Jesus for our ultimate eternal salvation. Today's VA shot God is light, and he shines on those who love him and live his way. If you're going through something difficult, it may feel dark, but light is still there. Look for the ways that God is shining even in the darkness. It's in the places he shines that you'll remember he's where the joy is. Sam.
