Hey Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap
B
for kids. Today's bible verse,

Psalm 145:17 says, the Lord is righteous in everything he does. He is filled with kindness. When David is confused about why certain things happen to him, he puts his trust in God and he knows that God can be trusted with the outcome. David realizes he is fully known and fully loved by God. God's greatness is so big and so wonderful that we will never be able to understand it all. We get to see pieces of it throughout our lives. But the whole of his greatness is more than our human minds could possibly understand. In 145 9, David says that the Lord is good to everyone. Remember what grace and mercy are? We learned about them a while ago, so let's review them now. They were two very important words to remember.

Words to remember. Grace is when you get what you don't deserve. Mercy
A
is when you don't get what you do deserve. There is also common grace and common mercy, which is what David is teaching us about here. We all have air to breathe and water to drink and food to eat because of God. That's common grace. And even God's enemies don't usually die the second they hurt God's kids. They have more time. That's common mercy. Common grace and common mercy exist because God is good. Good to everyone, even the people who don't know him or follow Him. How incredible. God is righteous and filled with kindness. Every answer he gives us to every prayer we pray is right and kind. If he says yes, no, or wait, it's right and it's kind. He's always right. He's always kind, and he's where the joy is.
