Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for Wiz. Today's Bible verse in Proverbs chapter 8, verse 31, Wisdom says, and how happy I was with the world he created. How I rejoiced with the human family. Proverbs dad gives his son advice on how to stay wise and pure. He wants his son to keep away from things and people that tempt him to sin. So he tells him to be careful with these what his eyes see, what his hands do, and what his heart loves. And that is good advice for us to follow, too. Proverbs dad tells his son that he can choose which path to walk foolishness that leads toward death or wisdom that leads to life. The dad ends his advice to his son by reminding him again to chase after wisdom and life. God delights in wisdom. Proverbs 8 describes wisdom as if it were a person. But some Bible teachers also say that it describes Jesus. When creation is described, there are pictures of delight and rejoicing, love and smiling. God feels that way about wisdom, and he feels that way about us, his creation. He's where the joy is.
