Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse the writer of Ecclesiastes 8:12 says, Even though a person sins a hundred times and still lives a long time, I know that those who fear God will be better off. Life is shorter than we realize, but we should take it seriously. We have to wait for God's timing and realize that every moment he gives us is a gift. Whatever our work is, we should work well like we're working for God. There are also some short pieces of wisdom wrapped up in today's reading. Even a little foolishness leads to ruin. Guarding our thoughts is as important as guarding our words, and God is the giver of life. Even before a baby is born, the writer wraps up his experiment with this conclusion. Our lives will have both pain and joy. And in order for our lives to be meaningful, our job is to enjoy and obey God through all of it. Today, by God, God can be trusted with our lives. There isn't a magic formula for a long, successful life. Our job is to delight in God, obey Him, and trust him with whatever happens.
