Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible Verse In Hosea, chapter 11, verses 7 and 8, God says, For my people are determined to desert me. They call me the Most High, but they don't truly honor me. Oh, how can I give you up, Israel? How can I let you go? How can I destroy you like Admah or demolish you like Zeboiim? My heart is torn within me and my compassion overflows. Hosea reminds God's people that there are consequences for their sins. Their hearts have wandered far away from God, and it shows up in every area of their lives. When people are close to God, it shows up in what they say and what they do. And when people are far away from God, that shows up too. Hosea begs the people to return to God and promises that if they do, God will meet them in love.
