Laban tells Jacob that he can marry.

His youngest daughter, Rachel, when. But Laban tricks Jacob into marrying Rachel's older sister, Leah. So much tricking and so much sin.

Jacob is upset and he takes it out on Leah.

He treats her terribly.

But just like God saw and cared for Hagar, God pays special attention to Leah. He gives her four sons and she begins to learn that God's love is all the love that she needs. God is sovereign.

It means that even sin can't mess up God's plan. In today's reading, we saw sin after sin after sin, lies and tricks and deceit and hatred. God knew all of these sins would happen, just like he knows all of.
