Hey, Bible readers. I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse. In Isaiah 57, verse 18, God says, I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway. God promises a special blessing to the people of Israel. He'll enlarge his family through them. And that family will will include people from all over the world. This may have seemed like a strange blessing at the time, because other nations were actually Israel's enemies. But God promises them that this is nothing to fear. God has good plans for his people, ideas that our human brains couldn't even dream up. Every single one of his plans will come true. It will take time, but he'll eventually restore all of creation. Isaiah reminds the Israelites that they still have a job. To put away their idols and worship God alone. God doesn't run away from sinners. He draws near to help them. God sees all our wickedness, but he helps us anyway. When you sin, you don't have to run and hide from God. You couldn't hide from him anyway, even if you tried. He sees you. He knows you and he loves you. He's where the joy is.
