Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse Exodus, chapter 40, verse 35 says Moses could no longer enter the tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. We finished Exodus today. Way to go. One year after the Israelites left Egypt, they complete the tabernacle just as God instructed. And Moses blesses it. This points back to God blessing creation when he completed it. Why is that important? Because God was working to restore what was broken in the garden almost 3,000 years earlier. God is making a way to be with his kids because he loves them so much. God tells Moses to anoint the furniture in the tabernacle with oil. Oil represents the Holy Spirit. So putting oil on something symbolizes dedicating it to God and making it holy. Hey, Bible readers, do you remember what that word means? Holy. Let's review it now. Word to remember. Holy means set apart. The furniture for the tabernacle will serve a special purpose, and it can only be used for the tabernacle, the place where God dwells. Like he said he would do. God sets up Aaron from the tribe of Levi and all of his descendants as a family of priests. Today's my God. God's glory is so strong that it fills the entire tabernacle. There isn't even room for Moses to go inside because God's presence fills every single space. His presence is powerful and his glory is great. He's where the joy is.
