Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verb.
B
In Leviticus 25, 18 and 19, God says, if you want to live securely
C
in the land, follow my decrees and obey My regulations.
B
Then the land will yield large crops
C
and you will eat your fill and and live securely in it.
B
God gives his people more instructions about
C
how they should treat each other. Until God freed them, they were slaves
B
their entire lives, so they didn't know
C
how to live outside of Egypt. They also don't really know much about God yet. It's only been a year since he freed them, and they're still learning to trust Him.
B
So God makes sure his people can
C
see his heart in the laws that he gives them.
B
He wants the rich to be helpers, he wants the vulnerable to be protected. He wants the poor to have enough,
C
and he wants everyone to rest. God had already given his people a commandment to rest on the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week. In the Bible, the number seven symbolizes perfection. And God gives His people another rule related to the number seven. He wants them to let the fields and gardens rest on the seventh year and to trust him to provide enough food for them.
B
God also sets up a year of jubilee. It's every seven weeks of years, which
C
means it's every 50 years when debts are forgiven and debtors are set free. Today's Baja God is generous.
B
His laws make sure everyone is cared for. His laws make sure everyone gets rest,
C
and his laws make sure everyone has enough.
B
No matter how much money we have
C
or how many things we buy, they won't make us safe or happy.
B
Only God can make us safe and happy.
A
And he's where the joy is. It.
The Bible Recap Kids – Day 52 (Leviticus 24–25): The Generous Laws of God
Host: Ms. Emily ("Miss Emily")
Date: February 21, 2026
In today's episode, Miss Emily guides young Bible readers through Leviticus chapters 24 and 25. The main theme centers on God's caring instructions to His people, teaching them how to live well together, trust Him, and care for each other as they adjust to life outside Egypt. Special focus is given to the concepts of Sabbath rest, the Year of Jubilee, and how God’s laws reveal His generous heart.

Sabbath Rest
Sabbath Year and Jubilee
God extends this idea of rest by commanding a “Sabbath year,” letting fields and gardens rest every seventh year, trusting God’s provision.
Every 50 years, the Year of Jubilee occurs: debts are forgiven, and those who were enslaved for debts are set free.
A Generous God
What Really Keeps Us Safe and Happy
Miss Emily wraps up this episode by emphasizing that God’s rules weren’t just about behavior, but about making sure everyone—rich or poor, slave or free—experiences care, rest, and fairness. Above all, the episode reassures children that God Himself is the source of safety, happiness, and joy.
