Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for Levite. Today's Bible verse. In Numbers 3, 11, and 12, God
B (0:16)
says to Moses, look, I have chosen the Levites from among the Israelites to serve as substitutes for the firstborn sons of Israel. The Levites belong to me. God has given his people instructions on how to live together, and he's told them how to organize themselves. Now he's giving them instructions for the tabernacle, his home with them in the wilderness. Remember that God has set apart the Levites as keepers, caretakers and protectors of the tabernacle. He tells his people that because an entire tribe is dedicated to his service, every other family have to send their firstborn son for God's service. Within the Levite tribe, there are three clans, and God gives each a special job. The Gershonites work with fabric in the tabernacle, the curtains and the coverings. The Merarites handle the structure of the tabernacle. The poles, the pillars and the pegs, and the kohathites guard the holy vessels like the ark and the lampstand. God sees everyone and uses all his people to accomplish his plans. The largest tribe, Judah, has a special place in the arrangement God set up for them. And the Levites are the smallest tribe, but God set them apart for special service. Whatever job God has for you in his kingdom, it's important. He may call you to serve in a place that's seen by many or in a place that's seen by a few. But remember, God always sees serve him wherever he's placed you to serve, because he's where the joy is.
