Hey Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse numbers 6:24 26 says, May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. God reminds his people that they are to live holy lives and uphold the covenant that they made with Him. He gives instructions on living holy lives both on the outside and the inside. He sets up rules for when they sin against God and each other. They should confess, repent, and when needed, pay the consequence to the people they harmed. God also outlines the vows that the Nazirites must take. These are people who are set apart even among God's already set apart people. The Nazirites are set apart for service and they must follow special rules. Some of these rules are even stricter than the ones the priests follow. They can't eat, drink or touch certain things. Most Nazirites only serve a set amount of time, but some serve for life and we're going to meet a few later on in the Bible. Then God tells Moses how the priests should bless his people and promises that when Aaron and his sons bless the people, God himself is the one blessing them. God blesses his people Today's reading ended with a beautiful blessing that you may have heard before. Listen to it one more time. It's from Numbers 6:24 through 26. May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace. God blesses his people. He blesses you and he's where the joy is.
