Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse numbers, chapter 36, verse 6 says, this is what the Lord commands concerning the daughters of Let them marry anyone they like, as long as it is within their ancestral tribe. The Israelites continue to make plans for the promised land based on God's instructions. Since the Levites are set apart priests, they won't get their own land. So God's plan is that each tribe gives a little bit of the edges of their land to the Levites. Some people in the tribe of Manasseh realized that if the five daughters of Zelophehad marry outside of their tribe, then those tribes would get their land. So they ask Moses for help, who asks God, and God tells them they are right. Zelophehad's daughters must marry within their tribe so that the land stays just how God arranged it. So that's what all five daughters do. Everyone is provided for in God's plans. Today, Baja God pays attention to each one of us. He cares for the whole group and gives them what they need to live abundantly. He also cares for each person and makes sure they have what they need too. Twice in the Book of Numbers, we see how God makes sure that Zelophehad's daughters, five women out of 3 million Israelites, are treated fairly, just like these women did. God wants you to bring your questions and problems to him because he cares for all of us as a group and for each one of us individually. He's where the joy is.
