Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily, and this is the Bible recap for kids. Today's Bible verse. In Job, chapter 19, verse 25, Job says, but as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives and he will stand upon the earth at last. Job's friends keep insisting that he's responsible for all of the bad things that have happened in his life. But Job keeps on telling them things about God and even pointing out some eternal truths. Job knows that God is alive. And in 1925, Job calls God his redeemer. And that gives us two words to prophecy and redeemer, words to remember. A prophecy is a message. God speaks to people through a person. We call the people who speak the message as prophets. A redeemer pays a price to get something or someone back. And do you know what? Job wasn't just a prophet about what God would do for him. Because thousands of years after Job said this, God sent himself as Jesus to live on earth and pay the ultimate price to get us back, becoming our redeemer. Today, by God, God is our Redeemer. When Job's entire life is falling apart, he speaks these beautiful truths. God lives. God is Job's Redeemer, and God will live forever. When you read the Bible and learn more about God, that knowledge gets stored into your brain and in your heart. And whenever you're going through hard times, what's stored in your brain and your heart comes out. So put in as much truth as you can so that even in hard times, you'll remember that he's where the joy is.
