for Wickets. Today's Bible verse
A
Joshua, chapter 21, verse 45, says not a single one of the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled. Everything he had spoken came true. The Israelites continue dividing up the land. God wants this to be their home as long as they keep their part of the covenant. The land is small, but so different from place to place. There are mountains and valleys and deserts and seas. Where each tribe lives has a big impact on the food they will eat and the work they will do. Because Joshua believed God's promise about giving them this land. He gets to choose where he wants to live first, but he kindly lets everyone else choose first. He gets a hilly area in Ephraim's land. It's quiet and there aren't a lot of people, so it's a good place to spend the end of his life. The Levites are spread out among the tribes and God also sets up cities of river refuge. And that is another word to remember.

Word to remember. Refuge means a safe place to live.
A
And these cities of refuge are places where people who accidentally kill someone can live safely without fear of revenge. Today, by God, God is generous and faithful. He promised the Israelites who were slaves in Egypt and then waited for 40 years in the wilderness a home. Because of God's power and strength, the Israelites get their home. And because of God's love, they also get God. He's where the joy is. It.
