Hey, bible readers. I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Here we go, Bible readers.
B
It's another seven day roundup. First, let's zoom out.
A
We covered a lot in the last seven days.
C
You've now finished nine books of the Bible. And in those books, we saw God
D
keeping the promises he made to Abraham.
C
We saw that even when his people sin against him, he never stops loving them. And we saw God's care and kindness for the vulnerable, providing for them and
D
even using them to fulfill his plan of salvation.
A
We finish two more books of the Bible.
B
Here's the big picture.
C
Judges. In Judges, we see again and again
D
the consequences of sin.
C
The Israelites have seasons of peace and then they turn away from God and
D
face the consequences of their sin.
C
Then they cry out to God and God rescues them through all their unfaithfulness. We are reminded that God is always faithful.
B
And here's the big picture. Ruth.
C
In Ruth, God's kind plan of redemption shines even in tragedy. God is kind to the brokenhearted and
D
is working to accomplish his plan.
C
This week, we learned one new word to remember. Pagan is having to do with false gods.
D
And what does all of this mean for us? Let's talk about it in our application.
C
God showed such kindness to Naomi and Ruth at a time when widows were
D
among some of the most vulnerable people in a society.
C
God provided them with food, a home and a family. Today, make a list of the ways God showed his kindness to some of
D
the people we've read about together so far.
C
Hagar, Job, Joseph, Moses, Joshua. Then make a list of some of the ways God has shown his kindness to you. I can think of so many, and I know you can, too.
E
He's where the joy is, Sam.
