Hey Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for.
B
Wait kids,
C
It's another seven day roundup.
B
Let's zoom out.
A
In the last seven days, we read some of the chronicles of God's people. Starting all the way from the beginning, we saw that God keeps His word even when it means discipline for his people. And through the Psalms we learned more about how to pray to and worship God. We learned two new words and reviewed two of our old words.
C
To remember to chronicle is to give it detailed written record of a genealogy is a list of names in a family line. Justification is when God declares us righteous because of what Jesus did for us. Sanctification is a lifelong process of God making us more like Him.
A
And let's use those words in an application. In Psalm chapter 92, we read that godly people will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars. We've seen this to be true when reading the stories of people like Joshua, Job, Ruth, Samuel and David. And if you look for it, you'll see it to be true in the lives of godly people that you know today too. On a piece of paper, draw a strong and flourishing tree. If you've already decided to follow Jesus, then God's work of justification is done. Ask a grown up to help you write the word justification on the roots of your tree. Sanctification is a process that will last the rest of your life. Ask a grown up to help you write the word sanctification on the trunk of your tree. God is going to use all kinds of events and people in your life as he sanctifies you. Can you think of ways he's already sanctifying you? Maybe through your relationships with your family or through reading His Word. Write those on some of the branches and make sure those branches have fruit. When God sanctifies, fruit grows.

He's where the joy is.
