Hey, Bible readers, I'm Ms. Emily and this is the Bible recap for kids. Let's get going with another seven day roundup. First things first, let's zoom out. We finished Exodus and started Leviticus. And we've seen how God's been good to the Israelites through their enslavement and their freedom. Through their sin and their obedience. He's promised them a home that they don't get to go to yet. The promised land. But even in the desert, he's provided for them with miracles and he's protected them and set them apart with laws and rules. His way is the best way. Since we finished our third book of the Bible, it's time to look at the big picture. Exodus. Exodus means exit. Most of Exodus was likely written by Moses. The whole book tells a story of how powerful God is and how he wants to be near to his kids. It teaches us that even when we sin and are unfaithful to Him, God always keeps his promises. In the last seven days, we talked about these words to remember.
B
Holy means deadly, apart. A calm means to cover or to pay a penalty. Compassion is kind concern for others when they're suffering. Justification is when God declares us righteous because of what Jesus did for us. Sanctification is a lifelong process of God making us more like him.

And before we go, let's find an application. God has led his people on a journey and he's been with them every step of the way. He sent plagues, parted the sea, sent water from a rock, led them as a cloud by day and a fire by night, gave Moses the ten Commandments and instructed the Israelites on how to build the tabernacle. Think about times and places in your own life that you've seen God's power and provision. Draw a map on paper or in your mind and mark the places where you've seen God working. When I stop to think about all of the times and places I've seen God working in my life, it really helps me to remember his goodness.
B
He's where the joy is.
